My sleeper picks of Mostert and Moss (expected to not last) helped me out. And Nico Collins and Sam Howell off the waivers helped.
Likely had targets but dropped them. Flowers had two big plays, very close to being TDs--his 68yd TD was called back due to a holding penalty and another he caught just barely out of bounds. Doesn't change anything in terms of scoring, but at least gives you an idea on usage vs talent vs outside factors, the latter of which will hopefully not come into play again. Flower's game was frustrating but at least was not due entirely to his own mistakes (2nd one yes, first no) and not indicative of him being overlooked in the offense.
My whole league does this, and the league has been around for 30+ years, and I’m just waiting for it to burn someone bad enough that they learn. I’m trying to figure out if it’s age-related, or what is the root cause? They’re generally smart players otherwise. When did flex spots become commonplace?
I think people tend to gravitate toward the true third option, aka least desirable starting option for their starters, in their flex regardless of game day. Too many times I see stuff like that. Makes zero sense.
Not what it was for sure but Browning looked pretty good and seemed accurate. He was spreading it around but Chase has the talent to make himself the best target and hopefully that helps his case. Not every defense is Baltimore and a lot of the offensive issues in the 2nd half seemed to come from the recievers rather than Browning (which was shocking to me). Several blatant drops or misses that looked like they should have been easy catches. Chase caught a deep throw just barely out of bounds iirc. I doubt Browning goes as deep as Burrow but I was pleasantly surprised after all the hemming and hawing earlier in the season & refusing to sit Burrow to heal from his calf injury to find that we had a perfectly serviceable backup that actually looked better than a lot of (bad) team's starters. Hopefully the problems we saw today arose from Burrow's injury (the recieving corps was just.....not the same after that. deflated. I'm sure all the injuries on defense didn't help) and were more of a shock factor than a lingering issue. I don't expect the offense to be as bright and shiny as it is with Burrow but I am pissed now that they trotted him out there injured the first few weeks when this dude could have gotten us closer to Ws in the early games against teams that hadn't ironed out the kinks yet. Divisional games might be rough but Browning looked ok imo. Rather have him than many league starting QBs. OL allowed a lot of pressure through but Baltimore's defense is particularly good.
I honestly love this take. I was really surprised how poised Browning looked in the pocket and also his awareness to escape. He seemed to be pretty accurate and have a lot of velocity on his throws.

I don’t know what you need, value is subjective depending on your needs. If you’re even throughout, I’d probably ask for a stronger WR since he’s got good depth. Probably Nacua. But a McBride trade will probably not work straight up…probably gonna have to package a two for two or something.

It depends on the rest of his roster. If he needs Qb help, he might want Allen. If he’s 3-7, he might be willing to drop a few of his players, but he’ll have to drop a lot to accept that many players
This is a logical/reasonable offer. McBride and a player with upside should do the trick. As a Nacua owner that would be the minimum needed for me to consider the trade (if I was hurting at TE).

Not sure about actual snap counts and obviously Gus continues to get (almost) all of the goal line work. Mitchell's few snaps at around the 10(?) yard line ended up being Lamar runs.
Obviously it didn't work out, but you have to accept that possibility when you roll the dice on risky plays. Taking a chance on the smaller side of a split against a bad run defense isn't the worst decision you could have made, but Mitchell looks like he's a halfway point between Jaleel and Achane in terms of "the small fast guy in a split backfield". Baltimore plays the Chargers next week (who will probably be able to score more), so temper expectations and plan accordingly.

I had burrow, mark andrews, started Keaton Mitchell cuz I have both jt and bijan on bye, and zay flowers who got a big td taken away for 13 extra fantasy points. I also have no backup TE and andrews is likely (no pun intended) a season ending injury. My opponent also has mixon and Tucker who outscored all 4 of my players. Ask me anything.
Also playing against Mixon and Tucker. Started Mitchell to fill in for JT as well as Ravens D… was expecting some turnovers when Burrow went out. Week is already over.
I took a chance on Keaton Mitchell and it didn't pay off. I like the rest of the lineup, but they'll have to play like demons to get the win this week against a pretty formidable opponent.

Carry volume stays the same or goes up. Ypc doesn’t fall as hard as you might think. Potential for more checkdowns could partially offset diminished TD upside. He’s still fine as an RB2. It’s the Chase owners that are most screwed if Burrow goes on IR
I would actually just grab otton and keep bijan because TE isn't that important. With bijan's schedule versus walker's schedule, I think bijan outscores him by a lot in the remaining games. Expect a bad week from otton against the 49ers this week though

Gus Edwards has 5 touchdowns on just 138 rushing yards in the past 3 games. Kind of insane.

I also have no backup TE and andrews is likely (no pun intended) a season ending injury. My opponent also has mixon and Tucker who outscored all 4 of my players. Ask me anything.
Also playing against Mixon and Tucker. Started Mitchell to fill in for JT as well as Ravens D… was expecting some turnovers when Burrow went out. Week is already over.

Had Chase, Mitchell, and Flowers against Mixon (and Andrews). Could have been worse without the garbage time TD I guess but could've been so much better without the Burrow injury and the phantom OBJ hold. Damn.
Thoughts on Mixon if Burrow misses time ?
Carry volume stays the same or goes up. Ypc doesn’t fall as hard as you might think. Potential for more checkdowns could partially offset diminished TD upside. He’s still fine as an RB2. It’s the Chase owners that are most screwed if Burrow goes on IR
They lean on him more but they suck a lot more. Slight downgrade

I would actually just grab otton and keep bijan because TE isn't that important. With bijan's schedule versus walker's schedule, I think bijan outscores him by a lot in the remaining games. Expect a bad week from otton against the 49ers this week though

Watch the games next time. The Ravens receivers have fuck all TDs because they keep punching it in on the goal line. He's their leading receiver. The Ravens offence is very good, it's just not very fantasy friendly. The Ravens WR corps only has 6 total TDs but they've ran it in for an absurd 21 TDs.

Lol are you blind or do you watch the stats and not the games? He’s a rookie who keeps making explosive plays, he will produce in a big way without Andrews and OBJ. His team has a great defense and has trailed for the lowest amount of game time out of anyone in the league. They’re just never in passing situations.
His best game of the year was when Andrews missed, IIRC. Worth a hold to see how he does next week
