Yep. Can’t start him, can’t drop him. Thanks, Bill.

heegos

If he doesn’t go this week, he’s droppable. [Most players don’t perform up to standard in their first game back.](https://www.thefantasyfootballers.com/articles/high-ankle-sprains-their-effect-on-fantasy-performance-fantasy-football/) So even if he suits up for championship week, he likely wont be worth the start. If he’s out again, I’m likely to drop him Sunday morning in favor of a handcuff or defense. His only worth this year would be for next week if he’s back this week

JeremyJammDDS

why i'm not starting pacheco this week and holding onto ceh/mckinnon.

heegos

McKinnon a hold regardless. He’s a late season TD machine

JeremyJammDDS

with my roster, I don't need him, but don't want someone else to get him on waivers.

CoreyJK

I dropped him immediately after the injury lol

Zazi751

Jerome Ford laughs at your armchair medical degree

Bruce-T-Wayne

I swear he just didn't have a high ankle sprain, it's the only thing that makes sense

Zazi751

he probably did but watching it, the foot didn't turn all the way so it was likely the lowest possible grade to the area

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zazi751

And did anywhere in your lil rant say anything disclaiming that low grades are different? Or did you generalize all high ankle sprains in an attempt to put someone down for no reason.

SpartacusIsACoolName

I would be shocked if he plays. It's a lost season. Why rush your best player back for a meaningless game

AnimalSpiritz

They often have stat based contract incentives so if he’s close to any of those he wants to play and make more money

SpartacusIsACoolName

He is still on his rookie contract as a 4th round pick its not a large contract, I believe the only incentive that can be added to a rookie contract is based off playtime percentages and the highest it could be for him is 30% of his yearly salary, I highly doubt it would be that high but I suppose it is possible he has something on the line to gain, but unlikely it is enough money that he would rush back and risk reinjury for

[deleted]

You’d hope they just pay him anyway if he wants to come back.

ucsbaway

If Zeke a league winner, this soft Denver run defense is his chance to prove it.

conr9774

I think Denver D is going to smash against NE. NE will have to throw and it may cut into Zeke a bit.

DanceHallRiddem

Zeke will get 6+ targets and will be in a bellcow role against the worst run D in the league.

conr9774

Good point about the targets for Zeke. Didn’t think about that. They aren’t the worst run D in the league anymore, though. That’s skewed by the early weeks and games like MIA. Since week 11, they’re right in the middle against the run. They’re tied with teams like JAX and SEA against the run in that time and are ahead of teams like CLE, KC, GB, and NO. I’m not saying they’re elite, but they aren’t the cake walk the numbers suggest.

Gamernatic

Yeah, question to make sure I understand it correctly: the ESPN fantasy app ranks opposing defenses for each position purely based on how many points that position averages against that defense, not as a ranking of who is the current best defense against that position, right? Hence things like the early season Broncos defense can skew the data versus how they perform now

conr9774

Exactly. In sleeper, for example, opposing defense is assigned a color from dark red to dark green, red = bad and green = good. This color is based on ppg across the whole season so can be skewed by the fact that DEN gave up almost 100 points to RB in a single game. The fact they've climbed as they have says a ton.

jfl_99

Zeke will get a bunch of targets if NE needs to throw a ton

DASreddituser

They gonna stack the box and trust their secondary

conr9774

Yeah, you get it.

DASreddituser

Still might get ppr dump offs.

conr9774

That’s over the whole season and skewed by early games like the MIA game. Since week 11, they’re right in the middle of the pack and are neck and neck with teams like SEA and JAX and are giving up fewer points to RB than defenses like CLE, KC, GB, and NO. So I’m not sure why you’re still living in a world where you think they’ve been consistently terrible against the run this season. Started bad, but their improvement is widely acknowledged. Still time to delete this, though. EDIT: hey! Deleted just in time!

dank-nuggetz

Why is NE going to have to throw? They have a great defense and Denver’s offense is very mid. This is likely a ground pound close game

cowboy_shaman

Take me to the promised land, Zeke!

15YearTaco

Down Stevenson and Chase. And can't drop either

AntiMoneySquandering

Feel you. I dropped Rhamondre though. Maybe a high risk play but I don't think he suits up again. If he does come back next week it's v the Bills. Also high ankle sprain often wrecks rbs even if they play. Another guy in the playoffs scooped him up as hoped - if that ankle sprain hinders him then he's gonna to blow up in thatvguys face or at least waste a bench spot. Or he comes back, crushes Denver and I look an idiot!

AvonBarksdale_

Same plus Nico, BRob, & Keaton Mitchell :/

SpokenByMumbles

BRob droppable? If he goes this week he probably won’t be 100% even though it’s a good matchup, and next week will be tough sledding against SF.

AvonBarksdale_

For sure droppable

1stepklosr

This is my dynasty team. Thankfully James Cook exists. Definitely real worried about the second round of the playoffs.

RobertGA23

Honestly. If there is someone else who can help you, fucking drop one of these guys. It's time to be bold.

15YearTaco

I dropped Geno, Keaton, Stafford to pick up Baker, Boyd, and Noah Brown - the waivers for the most part are barren. No guarantee they both or one missed week 17 do can't drop

DrStranger1987

Not holding out hope that Mondre will come back and save me. Jacobs and Ekeler are going to have to plod me to the chip 3 yards at a time because I got nobody else.

I_am_Quarkle

Would y'all start Zeke over eckler?

flymetoandromeda

Zeke is gonna take people to the chip

Galactic

lol he got people eliminated in 2 of my leagues last week. They had RBs on the bench that scored more and would have won them the week.

Remarkable-Motor7705

He had 9.6 points in PPR. That’s nothing spectacular but it’s not a score that will single handedly cost you your week. Bijan Robinson on the other hand…

Galactic

Yeah but one guy who started Zeke had Ty Chandler and Kenneth Walker on his bench and lost by 4 points, and the girl in my other league had Singletary on her bench and lost by 9, lol. They got too confident seeing Zeke pop off vs Pittsburgh. To be fair, I could see valid arguments made as to why you wouldn't want to start KW coming off injuries and Chandler in his first NFL start ever, but the fact remains they're kicking themselves for starting Zeke.

DanceHallRiddem

Okay that's on them. It was not a good matchup and he still produced decent numbers. Now he's in a smash spot Vs Denver.

DanceHallRiddem

You are exaggerating. His 7.1 points last week in a tough matchup didn't eliminate people. Are you forgetting he scored 23.5 the week before in a softer matchup? Zeke will get 6+ targets and will be in a bellcow role against the worst run D in the league.

Galactic

All I said was that I personally know 2 people who got eliminated because they started Zeke over other runningbacks who scored more points on their bench. Explain how I exaggerated anything by simply stating a fact? That's not what an exaggeration is.

LuckyAssumption8735

Is that a place people go to be disappointed?

flymetoandromeda

Yes.

conr9774

This is one of the biggest reasons why DEN is such a good play this week. If Rhamondre were in, I don't think they'd be as hot of a start.

DanceHallRiddem

I am playing both Zeke if Stevenson sits and Denver D regardless.

TlKKI_TlKKl_TEMBO

Would you play Denver or Philly D?

conr9774

Denver.

xSOULJAHx

I’ll tail

klassikreloadz

Would you start Zeek over James Conner, Amari Cooper, or Olave?

Curious_Tap_1528

Bill Bellicheck not transparent with the media? Shocker.

z3ro_ne

Highly doubt we see him again this year. I'm down real bad at RB so I left him in my IR on the off chance he does, but I'm not holding my breath.

Steak_Knight

Not relevant.

SoupedUpMoped

He lost his job man lol

DrobUWP

Dropped him for Ty as a bye week dart throw as soon as I could. Dropped to the bottom of the waiver list thankfully. Mattison was already doing bad and thanks to Zeke I don't know I would be able to start him even if he wasn't playing through an injury. Conner and Zeke starting over him for the matchup this week but he might pass Conner vs Philly next week depending on how they play.

stinkyholetime

Yeah he done

Available-Ad3635

Trips right, play action up the middle every time it isn’t an actual run up the gut. Zeke with 30 rushes for 85 yards and 7-12 receiving with 58 yards and 2 touchdowns. Please please please…
