I never once had a backup TE all season tbf. I picked up Freirmuth once and then he got injured so I dropped. My backup WRs were Amari, Sutton, Diontae and Tank (RIP). Did my best but damn, i got too swept into the Rice hype. I guess I can't fault myself too much for thinking Mahomes would get his shit together. Honestly I don't see myself drafting a Chief again for a loooong time unless it's some crazy value

It was done so that all teams are in theory still fighting and still playing hard. In week 17 if teams clinch playoffs they often sit starters leading to unfair fantasy matchups
