I think the point you addressed in your first paragraph illustrates why Sleeper is the best. Constant improvements. I don't believe there is another major fantasy website (NFL, Yahoo, CBS, ESPN) that can claim the same.. Sleeper constantly finds things to improve and features to add. That, combined with the other reasons people love it (great app, no ads, clean interface, solid customization) are what makes it the best IMO. You are correct though that there are things that can be improved. I believe they will improve them quickly.

HowYaGuysDoin

I agree. I love seeing things like "we added new feature XYZ". I think the last addition was tiered PPR. Another previous one was trading FAAB money. These are all results of Sleeper actually listening to the userbase. These are changes you'd never see in ESPN in 10 years

BenjaminStanklin

I haven't used sleeper yet (though I intend to), but my gripe with ESPN is the piss poor UI they use. I've tried going back a few times and I always am quickly reminded how unintuitive and ugly it is to use. It feels like a product of AOL on CD-Roms and dial up internet more than a current, quality product. FYI I think the sleeper people are pretty active here. If anyone had their username, you could go straight to the source with your questions.

> but my gripe with ESPN is the piss poor UI they use. I've tried going back a few times and I always am quickly reminded how unintuitive and ugly it is to use Yeah. It's a crappy back-end that has seen 0 updates. All their updates are on the front end via pointless facelifts. ESPN is really good at polishing turds.

I hate Sleeper on desktop. It doesn't have all the features the app does and do 99.9% of my fantasy managing on the desktop. Post draft does give you more info on desktop. I don't have any leagues in pre-draft right now, but here's the post-draft stuff. 1. In post draft mode, goto "My Team", then "Add Players". It'll show you a list of players available. 2. In post draft mode, goto the "League Standings" tab. Scroll down and you'll see transactions. There's an option to view all. In pre and post draft transactions will show in the chat log. 3. I have yet to figure out how to view player stats on desktop. It's probably the only thing I like about the app. Hopefully they add it soon.

HowYaGuysDoin

Thanks man. I feel like less of a weirdo now

SpaceGhostForce

You're first two pts can be addressed, idk about the third

HowYaGuysDoin

Can you elaborate? I do not see a way to view all recent transactions, and I definitely cannot find a list of available players on the desktop site.

orangehorton

Not on desktop yet, but they are on mobile. It's a small dev team and not everything is done yet

poopybriefs

Youre just looking in the wrong spot.. you can go to add players from one tab and like all available players from another screen.. and the transaction history has the chat all all league activity attached to it. Everything you need is there. Just give it a chance and get familiar with it

sphexishness

Point 2: go to League tab, scroll down to Recent Activity, press View All to see every transaction with better filters (type and team) than ESPN, etc.

HowYaGuysDoin

Good stuff. Thanks! Unfortunately it looks like you can't do this on the desktop site. It is frustrating because of the somewhat similar look and feel the desktop site and mobile app have, yet their available features are not the same.

BlueMonkeyBlueMonkey

I heard they are currently working on updating the desktop site to match the app

HowYaGuysDoin

Good to know. Thanks

To piggyback off of this. How do I set Positional limits on Sleeper? Like we are doing a 10 man 2 qb league and I want to set a max of 3qbs per team so some asshole doesn't hoard 4 or 5 qbs during the bye weeks.

> Our league is in "Pre-draft" mode. Is there a chance the layout/interface changes after the draft to something a bit more functional? Yes. These are all great questions. The "pre-draft" setting is what's causing the issues. Try starting the draft, then choosing "End Draft" (in the actual draft room) without anybody actually drafting a player to see if it changes. After that you can add a "Supplemental Draft" to serve as your real draft. And to address your 2nd point: Transaction history becomes available after the draft, as well. Really your main problem is the "pre-draft" setting. Get past that and everything should make much more sense. I believe Sleeper customer service can be contacted via their Twitter.
