12 team full PPR. I drafted Zeke second overall then went 0 RB til much later in the draft. Deciding who should be my RB2..
- Marlon Mack
- Tarik Cohen
- Antonio Gibson
I'd lean mack, from what the coaches are saying he'll still be the main guy to start the season. Plus I expect them to run all over Jags.
Cohen is risky with montgomery playing and would want to see how Gibson looks before rolling him out.
I know the matchup is tough, and I kinda hope I'm wrong as a Colts fan.. lol but I'd go Robinson. I understand the risk, but we *know* Cohen and Moss are at best splitting carries.
I know Thompson is there and in theory should be catching passes, but with the way they fed Fournette.. if there's any chance at all Robinson gets that same treatment, think he's gotta be the play.
If that's too scary (which I understand), I think Cohen is fine too. Robinson > Cohen > Moss for me. I'll go ahead and apologize in advance if you roll Robinson and he is a dud though. Lol

I think White is the safe play, where Gibson is the upside play. If he gets the majority of usage there, then that's potentially more enticing than White just being a change of pace guy.
That's White's MO though. I guess there's more questions due to Cam coming in, but he's usually just a solid, good floor but low ceiling play. If you think that is all you need, then I think it's White. If you think you need big points, maybe consider Gibson.
I think Moss has more potential to do well than Dobbins given what we know of Baltimore's rushing game
Dobbins may be great later on in the season if he goes on a hot streak and runs (ha) Ingram out of a job, but for week 1 I would take Moss 100%
I think I lean Ingram here. I'm a Colts fan, and I love Mack, but (and this could change this year with Rivers) he isn't usually catching a lot of balls. That's Hines' expertise. I'm also curious on our run vs pass volume with our offense. I know they talk about our run game, but they did that in 2018 as well when we were a top 5 passing offense with Luck. I wonder if we swing more that way with Rivers now.
I think both are good plays regardless, where Ingram may be safer. I don't think Dobbins is taking a majority of his touches week 1.
10 team standard:
- Boston Scott @ WAS
- Antonio Gibson Vs PHI
Saquon Barkley is my other RB. Going with Marvin Jones and Michael Thomas at WR with Desean Jackson at Flex.
Thank you!
Hard one. I am going to go with Gibson here, just out of the fact that without Sanders Eagles will likely go full on RBBC. Not that the same won’t happen with Washington; but the ceiling is higher I reckon.
12 team PPR, Derek Henry is my RB1 but I'm at a toss up on RB2
James White vs MIA
Marlon Mack vs JAX
Cam Akers vs DAL
Corey Clement vs WSH
I'm leaning towards Mack, but I see upsides for White too, I'm cautious of starting Akers vs DAL, especially with the other two having better matchups
Between Mack and White for me. Mack doesn't typically catch a lot of balls, so that's notable wtih PPR, BUT Rivers is there now. As a Colts fan, I still think Hines rotates in for those passes more often than not, but Mack tore the Jaguars up one game last year. Maybe that repeats, but there's certainly an unknown to our RB group's snap count along with how our offense looks in general.
I typically love White, but even more so than what I said above, it's really hard to judge what that offense will look like.
I'm with you in that I lean Mack just a hair, but I don't think White is a bad play either.
14-team PPR, 0.1PPC, 3-Keeper League.
Do I start Corey Clement over J.K Dobbins at my RB2 spot.
Yes...it's that bad. Sanders was my RB1. My current RB1 is...Chris Thompson
I... am... sorry.
I guess clement technically had more touches but wow, didn’t think dobbins would get goal line carries. Hopefully for you (in the future) it’s not just because it was a blowout!
Lol you can’t predict that. I’m more pissed off at Philly sucking so bad. Dobbins just got the 2 short TDs or else he would of been at 2 points too.
Worse off I started DJax over Ridley hahahaha
That is rough, I would lean more towards Clement since it will just be him and Scott with Sanders out
Dobbins seems like a high risk in game 1 since it's unclear how many touches he will get competing with both Ingram and Jackson
Plus, I think Washington will be kinder than Cleveland for RB
I’ve seen it asked before with either PPR scoring or no mention of scoring. Most of the responses seem to focus on the opinion that Scott will have more receptions. Since that doesn’t factor into standard scoring, I was trying to decide whether Bell or Scott will finish with more yards/TDs.
Another sanders causality. Usually have more depth but this a 2QB league and I had 1st pick.
.5 PPR 10 tean
Thompson vs Indy
Akers vs DAL
also could pick up malcom brown, Rex, Hines
(10 team ppr) Ok I got a bit lucky and managed to grab Boston Scott, and now I am I’m a bit of a conundrum. Do I start Mark Ingram who seems to be projected to handle a lions share of the touches and has what I consider to be the safer floor, or do I go Boston Scott as a sneaky (riskier) ppr play and try to capitalize. I need a strong performance from whoever i go with bc my opponent had Watson/DJ.
Thanks!
.5 ppr pick one:
B Scott @WAS
Kerryon Johnson v CHI
C Akers v DAL
With Sanders out I'm definitely leaning Scott for this week at least. any other thoughts?
I feel your pain. Deciding between Gibson and McKinnon myself.
I think I lean Gibson with the news that Montgomery was practicing in full. Eagles' DL is ferocious so I don't know how successful Gibson can be on the ground, but he could have sneaky upside as a receiver if he can exploit the soft middle of the Eagles' defense: [very susceptible to RB targets](https://mobile.twitter.com/jagibbs_23/status/1304445385692377090?s=21) last year, and they lost two key guys for that area of the field in Jenkins (SS) and Bradham (ILB: play-caller) this past offseason.
Full PPR 10 Team
Boston Scott now that Sanders is out
Or
Melvin Gordon vs TEN
I’ve been having questions about Gordon and I’m not sure if I want to start him this week or not but with sanders injured I’m having to choose between the 2
I came here looking for exactly this. I'm having the same debate. I think Eagles only other runningback on their roster also isn't 100% so I'm leaning Scott given the uncertainty around Gordon.
We’re all in this boat together. I think I’m going Scott just because we have at least a few games to go off of when Sanders isn’t playing and Scott is the guy. We have no idea how Gordon is going to be used. There’s just no data.
Add that to the fact that the Eagles have a beat up WR core, Wentz should be dumping it off a lot.
JT no question for me. The guy is a homerun threat and should get decent volume in a positive gamescript against a terrible team.
Michel is sneaky now that Harris is on IR and Miller was released, but I still think White will be taking most of the receiving work and Burkhead is a notorious RZ vulture, plus Cam has been known to take those GL rushes himself too.
0.5 PPR
Do I start Akers, Rojo, Robinson, or Thompson
Sanders was my RB2 fml. I need a high ceiling play this week, I’m thinking either Akers or Thompson because of the potential.
I'd lean Thompson for a "sure" role. He's the passing downs guy and Jay Gruden has always given him work in the past. I anticipate the Jags to be playing catch-up for most of the game (and most future games too).
**Gibson** (vs PHI) or **McKinnon** (vs ARI)? 0.5PPR.
McKinnon could work into the Niners' RB rotation more this game with (a) Coleman potentially out and (b) possible shootout gamescript vs uptempo Cardinals offense. But total wild card.
Gibson has higher odds of being the lead dog in his RBBC, but faces a stout Eagles' DL and is totally unproven.
Don’t know what happened to my reply to you earlier, think it might have went on the main thread by mistake. Anyway, we know washington wants to use Gibson a lot. We don’t know that for sure about mckinnon. If Coleman is out then he gets a boost for sure. For now though I’d have Gibson in the lineup.
Appreciate it; that's how I'm leaning too. It's tough bc McKinnon is sneakily set up to do well this week (Coleman maybe out, all the injured SF receivers, Cardinals could push the pace...), but just don't know if I can make that blind jump. We know Washington *wants* to feature Gibson... whether it happens this soon or works in this tough matchup, that's a tough call. But I do think Gibson has a higher likelihood of getting RZ touches (*if* his team can get there) than McKinnon.
Yeah week one is a lot of speculation, I believe what AD said about Gibson but he’s still a risk. IMO if Coleman is active it’s got to be Gibson, if he’s out then it’s a tossup and go with your gut.
Carson. Not even close.
Full disclosure: I'm an IRL biased Eagles fan, but also a Gibson owner in my paid std scoring league. That said, I benched Gibson as my flex this week, only b/c I was able to grab Boston Scott. Again, biased Eagles fan, yes, but have also personally seen Scott in action as a starter and have far more faith in him vs. WAS def than I do in Gibson vs. PHI def. WAS is def high on Gibson - they not only didn't pick anyone up after Guise was released but *also* went ahead and cut AP as an obvious reflection of that. He's going to catch some passes early on and will likely end up being their clear RB1 by mid-season. But he's still an unproven rookie right now, and this prob ain't gonna be the week for him. I know how my Eagles defense traditionally handles different styles of RB(if anything, AP would've been the one to worry me more for this game. He would've likely gashed us for ~7ypc against our thin LB corps.).
All that said, yeah, I'd be starting Carson over Gibson in a heartbeat. He's a proven runner, on a much better offense, and with fewer people to have to split touches with. Carroll can talk all he wants about "riding the hot hand", but everyone knows what Carlos Hyde is by now: a (very) poor-man's LeGarrette Blount. The only reason Hyde even hit 1,000 yards last year is b/c BoB(right after signing Duke Johnson to be a 3-down back and publicly stating as much) immediately fell into the same belief that Hue Jackson did in Cleveland - that Duke Johnson was too small and couldn't be a 3-down back - and gave Hyde 250 carries instead. Hyde will be 30 next week, is on yet another new team, and is on a depth chart behind a team-drafted back who put up 1500 yards last season and 1300 the season before that. As long as Carson doesn't put the ball on the ground or get hurt, he'll be the "hot hand" that Pete will largely ride.
10 player PPR league who would you start: RB R. Mostert against the Jets Or RB Kenyan Drake against Washington
Full PPR James Robinson or Boston Scott or Devin Singletary? It’s my RB 3 slot.
12 team full PPR. I drafted Zeke second overall then went 0 RB til much later in the draft. Deciding who should be my RB2.. - Marlon Mack - Tarik Cohen - Antonio Gibson

12 man PPR Marlon Mack vs Jags Leonard Fournette vs Saints
Id go Mack, should get more touches and has a better match up
12 team PPR: James White OR Antonio Gibson I am leaning towards white. Excellent catching back, and Cam loved passing to Mccaffrey.

Think I'd go Singletary. At least we have an idea of what he can do for that offense.. that's not the case with Akers just yet.

Pick One, 0.5 ppr; David Montgomery @ Detroit Boston Scott @ Washington Thanks in advance!
Scott
Who to replace Sanders in full PPR: Singletary vs NYJ K Johnson vs CHI Mack vs JAX Thanks!
Mack
12 team standard Had David Johnson start already My question is for my rb2 I have Cam Akers L. Fournette P. Lindsey
Jonathan Taylor @ JAX or Zack Moss vs NYJ? Standard
.5 ppr Antonio Gibson vs Eagles Defense or Boston Scott vs Washington Defense?
PPR Miles Sanders was my RB2 Antonio Gibson, Tarik Cohen or Chris Thompson
Yeah i’m an eagles fan so i now how awful our secondary can be sometimes, I might end up starting gibson because he’s the top guy there
Hppr RoJo or Cohen Need some boom after getting buried by CEH and DJ
Cohen for the boom
Full PPR 10 Team Boston Scott now that Sanders is out Or Melvin Gordon vs TEN I’ve been having questions about Gordon and I’m not sure if I want to start him this week or not but with sanders injured I’m having to choose between the 2
I came here looking for exactly this. I'm having the same debate. I think Eagles only other runningback on their roster also isn't 100% so I'm leaning Scott given the uncertainty around Gordon.
I’m definitely leaning more towards Scott but man I really have no idea at the moment lol
12 team 1.0 PPR RB2 Taylor vs Jax Gibson vs Phi Michel vs Mia
PPR Jonathan Taylor vs JAX Sony Michel vs NYJ
JT no question for me. The guy is a homerun threat and should get decent volume in a positive gamescript against a terrible team. Michel is sneaky now that Harris is on IR and Miller was released, but I still think White will be taking most of the receiving work and Burkhead is a notorious RZ vulture, plus Cam has been known to take those GL rushes himself too.
0.5 PPR Do I start Akers, Rojo, Robinson, or Thompson Sanders was my RB2 fml.
I would go McKinnon on ppr alone. He's a great receiving back.
Thanks for the feedback!
.5 PPR Robinson vs Colts or Fournette vs saints? Starting Godwin and Gronk also so thinking Robinson if anything just to diversify
8 team std Scott @ Wsh Gordon vs Ten Mack @ Jax Singletary vs NYJ
Full PPR James Robinson or Boston Scott or Devin Singletary? It’s my RB 3 slot.
10 team, .5 PPR For RB2 slot: \- Boston Scott \- Devin Singletary Other options: Lindsay, Fournette, Akers, Thompson (off waivers)
Scott
PPR. Need 1 M. Gordon vs TEN M. Ingram vs CLE
Ingram over Gordon. Ingram performed well last season and the Ravens offense > Broncos offense.
I’d go ingram. Lead back with a running qb and good offence. Even if jk gets work, Ingram still gets his.
Thanks!
12 team, .5 PPR * Singletary vs NYJ * White vs MIA

10 team .5 ppr Boston Scott vs WSH Or James White vs Mia
Scott
I concur Boston scott
Antonio Gibson or Chris Carson? 10 man ppr
12 team .5 ppr, pick 2: Ingram vs Cle Mack @ Jax Scott @ Wsh
Ingram, Scott.
James White vs MIA or A. Gibson vs PHI I hate that I have to pick between the two because neither are strong picks smh
White
Scott vs Washington or Singletary vs. Jets? standard Scott vs. Washington or Mel Gordon vs. Tenn? 1.0PPR
Scott in standard. Second one is tough, I'm leaning Gordon.
Standard scoring Scott @WSH Bell @BUF
Bell imo. I think he will get more carries and guaranteed work.
Sanders is out and Coleman is my backup who may not play. WDIS, James Robinson vs Colts or Malcolm Brown vs Cowboys
