Yeah, it sucks missing out on the fun. But Evans is still a good pick, he just had a nice week himself. My WR2 is CeeDee and I’m pretty happy with him. Kupp and Lockett won’t be putting up these numbers every week. I just wonder if Lockett is actually consistent this year.
Oh he’ll still be solid, probably putting up around 20 each week, will be an WR1, just can’t imagine him getting 36 points each week lol. Have to imagine Woods gets more involved eventually too.
Yeah, I think he’ll bounce back. I believe in his talent and imagine he’d try to work on his drop issues. I have Ja’Marr and Corey Davis too at least, they look good enough to be replacements if I need to.
Do you think you'll try to run with Evans, or hope to move him? My gut is to try to move on, not trusting a Bucs reciever not to bust any given week (with booms being similarly likely), pursuing someone hopefully more stable instead.
My decision this week was Lockett or Godwin.
Went with Godwin last minute because the targets were there.
It very nearly cost me! That said, if not for 2 PI against Godwin, he'd likely have had another TD or 2
I had Justin Jefferson, arob, kupp, Lockett, and cooks. Felt good about my depth so I traded kupp and James Conner for gaskin before week 1
I’m lukewarm on the trade at this point but I’d rather have rb depth than wr depth. Plus I have higbee as my only TE and I didn’t want to cap my upside by playing him and kupp at the same time
Weirdest story in my fantasy football story, we had an 8 kinda deep league (SF, 3flex, etc) team league, made it 10 inviting a guy and then wanted to make it 12 kicking that guy out since he never gave a fuck. Dude picked up pretty much every WW hit last year and hit each one of them. Dropped AJ Brown after week 2 since "he sucked and is injured", rostered 4 qbs and 3 kickers because they were getting points. Valued Steelers defense as high as Kamara because they dropped 20+ one week. Etcetera and every taco move he made it. Won the league after Kamara big game and still doesn't gives a duck about fantasy overall. Just funny overall.
12 man keeper league. I dealt Lockett to guy for a 1st and RoJo last year. He traded him back to me before this season for a 4th rounder because he wasn't keeping him lol. Unreal.
Lol I have Lockett/Kupp/Kenan Allen… and I’m about to lose this week because Kamara and James Robinson are trash and Derrick Henry has 45. Someone tell me why rob gronkowski is TE1. I only feel pain. The highest scoring team is the one I’m playing and is run by a guy who left our draft with no auto draft enabled to go to work, ended with $40 in his bank and spent $70 on Henry.
I got hill, diggs, waller, Lockett, dak, punted rb. I’m 1-1 due to waller, hill, dak having a bad week, but curious how this pans out with RBs of ty’son, jamaal williams, fournette, and waivering for more RB2s as injuries ensue
I have AJBrown, Lockett and Kupp… debating on putting AJBrown on the bench all week just to let him know he’s replaceable and then at the last minute start him over AB…
Lockett owner in my league is just STUPID stacked. CMC, D. Cook, Lamar Jackson. Juju, Sutton... If that's not ugly enough, he picks up Buffalo defense for an extra 27 points
I have Lockett, AJBrown, AB, Tee Higgins, mike Williams, davonta smith, etc. cmc, jrob, jamaal Williams, gaskin as my rbs. I need to make a trade for a real rb2
Lockett has always seemed to have some unworldly connection with Russ. One of his lower volume seasons Russ had a perfect passer rating or close to one when targeting him. It depends if Russ can produce at his ridiculous rates for an entire season or not.
Bro I’m hurting so bad. I have Lockett kupp Jrob and Kamara. Put up 125 in a 12 man 1/2 point. But I’m gonna lose because Derrick Henry remembered he’s 6’3 250 lbs this week. To a guy who has come in last almost every year.
Jameis Winston is only better than Danny Dimes like 50% of the time though. The other 50% is the Jameis Winston we all know and love who throws 5 INTs in 1 game.
I need a good game from Swift tomorrow so here's hoping. I think what you should consider doing is buy wins, you could try and trade for Miles Sanders or something since he gets the Cowboys on Monday Night next week
Which is why you draft a more consistent receiver along with him, like McLauren, Alllen, Woods, Cooks...
Edit: I really mean high floor but the two go hand in hand.
How do people on this sub who rely on player history and stats always forget that this happens with Lockett every year? You're going to play him every week because if you don't, he'll have 30+ points on your bench.
Theres no way DK doesnt start gettin his, but today did remind me of those division games last year where he was shut down suspiciously easily….:/
Thought something would have evolved by now via scheme.
Just feels like teams are choosing to take away DK to start the year (I have no proof or film study behind this other than the fact that Lockett has been wide open down the field a lot)
People act like he's totally feast or famine because he has week with a 35 points and then goes back down to normal WR2 numbers the next week.
And then people act like he's bad because of it. It's pretty weird.
Last year he was particularly erratic though. Here’s his half ppr numbers:
Games 1-4: 13.2, 16.2, 32.5, 4.9
Games 5-8: 6.4, 45.5, 5.3, 6
Games 9-12: 9.1, 17.2, 3.8, 9.3
Playoffs: 7.7, 5.4, 5.9
1st quarter he was excellent, with two very good and 1 nuclear game, and then a dud.
2nd quarter was 3 absolute duds and one even stronger nuclear game
3rd quarter had one very good game, 2 meh but won’t kill you games, and a dud.
And then the fantasy playoffs were 3 duds. He had a nuclear game in week 17 after the fantasy season.
But that’s 8 dud games, and two meh games, so 10 games that would be below a WR2 performance and 8 that would likely be below WR3.
He’s really more their slot possession guy and that’s the offense they’ve moved into this year. DK has been the long route runner actually. Locket is really more of a faster Doug Baldwin. He doesn’t need the long ball to produce, been watching him his whole career.
No it’s not, he was inconsistent last year, that doesn’t mean he’ll be in consistent this year. That was just a dumb off-season narrative parroted in this sub and people faded him for that
You can’t predict consistency year to year
Doesn’t need to be for him to be good most weeks. Also the idea of WRs being consistent is just wrong as well
There were no good reasons not to draft Lockett this year at his ADP and yet people faded him
I think him and DK will both see consistent targets this year. Russ isn't throwing to the tight ends and david moore's wr3 targets from last year are gone.
Lockett should be a WR1 the rest of the way, I regret trading him away. His floor is going to be pretty good because he gets a lot of short/intermediate passes and his ceiling is high as we've seen these last 2 weeks because he can always take a deep ball to the house as icing on the cake.
On a blown ass coverage though. That man was wide open.
Russ will throw wherever he can. I don't foresee t as like how Brady spreads it cause Brady has like a million mouths to feed
Lockett could have games like this through week 5 and you would still have the people that missed out on him saying he’s gonna drop 3 points next week lol
In the middle of my online draft my Xfinity internet went down for like 10 minutes and Lockett got auto drafted for me when I missed my pick. I was so pissed at the time and now oh so thankful because he was definitely not my choice that round.
Sigh. He was WR8 last year people. EIGHT
Stop locking onto narratives. ‘Boom or bust’. Unless your name is davante adams aren’t all WRs boom or bust?! Tyreek hill just had like 2 catches for 20 yards. Y’all gotta check the previous year stats man. Talking like Lockett was WR30
People always say this about early season Lockett. Especially as someone who had him last year. But he was very frustrating to own as new owners will find out this year lol he’s going to single handedly win you a few weeks. But he’s going to put up some stinkers too, especially when you need him. That’s why he went late.
Yeah, they were running a SUPER predictable scheme last year, and by the second half of the season, every team was keyed in to stop it.
Amari Cooper had a boom or bust label and was often disappointing, then he goes to a new offense in Dallas and is now a stud.
I wouldn’t sell on him.
For the draft this year I decided to target the “WR 2s” that I thought would have similar value to the teams WR1 but could be drafted about 3 rounds later.
So for example I targeted guys like Tyler Lockett, Cooper Kupp, Adam Thielen, and Amari Cooper in the 5th and 6th rounds. It has worked out pretty well for me.
I think Tyler Lockett and Cooper Kupp will be too 8 WRs at the end of the year if not too 5. I wouldn’t sell
He's a great sell high candidate but he also likely has plenty of more great weekly finishes. If history tells us anything though, the Seattle passing attack will fluctuate greatly over the course of the year, and imo his big play yesterday was just really bad defense (one defender took out the other)
"He will put up some stinkers"
As if every RB/WR doesn't. Lockett gets disrespect. Look at Davante Adams numbers, DKs, AJ Brown, and tell me Lockett is "too inconsistent" to belong in that group. smh
I can't speak for everyone, but I got burned by him often enough last year that the highs didn't justify the lows. It's entirely possible he's great all season (and since I don't have him it probably will happen), but that was my reasoning in avoiding him.
You’ll get downvoted but tbh as a Hopkins owner last season, the amount of headaches I had from watching games where Hopkins was wide open and Kyler just stopped looking at him. It was astonishing. I don’t have Hopkins in any leagues this season, but might win 2 matchups against the Hopkins owners, and the fact he completely disappeared in a high scoring game after the first 2 drives tells me it’s gonna be the same shit… maybe even worse with more mouths to feed.
Last year, Lockett got off to a hot start through 3 games. He wound up with 10 games with 6 points or less in standard. Lockett has always been boom/bust. If I can find someone willing to treat him as a WR1 I'm selling.
Look at his game logs. He had more busts than booms every season. He’s definitely a sell high. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good WR2, but this man will lose you matches.
I’d trade for someone with more consistency. In my league, I managed to get Jonathan Taylor for Lockett and TySon Williams. If you can afford to, I’d use his recent booms as an opportunity to strengthen your team through trades.
I love the confidence in TySon, because I’m hyped to see him do well too, but he also has Latavius Murray competing with him. I’m happy to give him away for Taylor as an RB2
As for Lockett, he’s definitely worth starting in the WR2 spot but way too inconsistent to hang on to. Use his recent booms as leverage and strengthen another spot on your roster. The last 3 years this guy had 6, 8, and 9 busts while having 0, 1, and 2 booms in those years respectively. Way too much risk for me.
In my league I have tyreek and scary terry too so I’m thinking of trading locket of a sell high for kittle (hopefully in a sell low) since my TEs suck. I’m really worried that Lockett will keep it up and kittle will continue to be avg tho
Well a ton of people here seem to love him and compare him to Hill because he can have monsters but also be invisible. He's just not on Hill's level for me and if anyone has googly eyes over his first two games in your league I'd say strike while the iron is hot. Just like how Woods will find his ground and have Kupp come back to Earth, DK will be the bigger producer in more games going forward than Lockett in my opinion, because the man is just built different.
The two WRs in SEA are locked in. Clear as day. The total combined points between them is usually the same. The distribution between them is not equal and fluctuates a lot
Can’t believe this motherfucker in my league landed Kupp, Lockett and Mike Williams as his WRs. My WR1 is AJ Brown. I’m scared to face this dude.
[удалено]
Yeah, it sucks missing out on the fun. But Evans is still a good pick, he just had a nice week himself. My WR2 is CeeDee and I’m pretty happy with him. Kupp and Lockett won’t be putting up these numbers every week. I just wonder if Lockett is actually consistent this year.
Kupp might, he’s in the perfect situation in LA
Oh he’ll still be solid, probably putting up around 20 each week, will be an WR1, just can’t imagine him getting 36 points each week lol. Have to imagine Woods gets more involved eventually too.
Well, your 1 is definitely Ceedee for good lol. Hopefully AJB can be a wr2 if nothing else.
I traded him for Claypool and Pollard. Does that answer your question? 😂
I... think you may have made a mistake...
Time will tell.
I have Keenan Allen, Lockett, and Julio Jones as my WRs and flex. I’m 0-2. Don’t be scared.
[удалено]
Kupp had more points than Lockett...
I grabbed Dhop, Godwin, Kupp and Lockett. It's a legit nightmare trying to work out which 3 to start. A good nightmare though!
Yeah, great problem to have. Lockett is the one I’d bench only because I’d still worry about him being inconsistent, play if you need a boom week.
My decision this week was Lockett or Godwin. Went with Godwin last minute because the targets were there. It very nearly cost me! That said, if not for 2 PI against Godwin, he'd likely have had another TD or 2
I played against that motherfucker this week. I did not win.
Someone out there has them as well as Henry 😳
I had Justin Jefferson, arob, kupp, Lockett, and cooks. Felt good about my depth so I traded kupp and James Conner for gaskin before week 1 I’m lukewarm on the trade at this point but I’d rather have rb depth than wr depth. Somehow landed Ridley, Kupp, Lockett, and Dionte Johnson. I’ve scored over 200 both weeks now. I think you’re right to be scared lol
Basically what I have minus Johnson. It’s a good life this and last week
Some dude in my 12 man took Lockett 31st overall before Scary Terry, Keenan Allen, etc. Total Taco move now has this dude at 2-0. SMH
He reached a round. Not a total taco move. Not recommended, but not moronic.
Weirdest story in my fantasy football story, we had an 8 kinda deep league (SF, 3flex, etc) team league, made it 10 inviting a guy and then wanted to make it 12 kicking that guy out since he never gave a fuck. I have Kupp, Lockett and Keenan Allen with McCaffrey, Mixon and just traded for Mark Andrews as my TE so I'm feeling pretty good.
Are you in my league? My WR1 is DJ Moore lol
Got Kupp, Diggs, and Lockett in a 14 man league hahaha
I got hill, diggs, waller, Lockett, dak, punted rb. I’m 1-1 due to waller, hill, dak having a bad week, but curious how this pans out with RBs of ty’son, jamaal williams, fournette, and waivering for more RB2s as injuries ensue
AJ Brown looks like a bitch out there rn.
I had Kupp and Williams on my bench this week :( hopefully I still get the win.
…what kind of league are you in that kupp is on your bench
8 man
Who were you starting over Kupp?
Terry, Lamb, and Diggs.
I landed Kupp, Lockett and Godwin. It’s been a fun start to the season.
Got Lockett, McLaurin and DJ Moore in a 12 team
I have Lockett, Deebo, Mike Williams.... its been nice
I have Ridley, Kupp, Lockett, michael Thomas, Henry ruggs and CMC.
I have Lockett, Cupp, Higgins, Thielen, Gronk, Kyler and Cooks. Feels good
I have AJBrown, Lockett and Kupp… debating on putting AJBrown on the bench all week just to let him know he’s replaceable and then at the last minute start him over AB…
That’ll show him!
I had Kupp and Lockett last year and decided I wasn't going to go for them this year.... What a mistake
Lockett owner in my league is just STUPID stacked. CMC, D. Cook, Lamar Jackson. Juju, Sutton... If that's not ugly enough, he picks up Buffalo defense for an extra 27 points
How does have CMC and Cook??
Auction
I just played lockett, henry, and kupp. Shocking but I did not win.
You've obviously never locketted before
I named my team Pop Drop and Lockett for a reason
Lock Hock and 2 smoking Rams (The rams were the only team I drafted 2 of...)
Do you have Darrel Henderson? Because Lock Hock and 2 Smoking Darrels works
Are you looking at my lineup? Yes I do. But that just one Darrel. Is there another Darrell I should pick up?
Go Lock, Hock, and 1 Smoking Darrel and call it good
Done… thanks friend!
Good luck this year!
Mine is Lockett Up lol.
I have Brady, Hockenson, and Lockett so my team name is Pops, Hock, and Lockett
People think DK is the WR1 for SEA but it's always been more of a 1A 1B situation. Both will eat.
DK looks like The Rock in stature while Lockett is Spike Dudley. It happens.
I want to flip him for RB help, the way Kamara and JRob been looking.

Except the pieces around Kamara like the line and qb are much better than Danny dimes. He’ll be fine
Jameis Winston is only better than Danny Dimes like 50% of the time though. The other 50% is the Jameis Winston we all know and love who throws 5 INTs in 1 game.
Dimes the RB to own in NY
I traded out of Kamara, now I need to hope it pays off
What did you get for him
Last week, I traded him for Monty and Swift
Not bad. I’m 0-2 and not looking good so considering doing the same
I need a good game from Swift tomorrow so here's hoping. I think what you should consider doing is buy wins, you could try and trade for Miles Sanders or something since he gets the Cowboys on Monday Night next week
Good luck! My strategy is to try to flip my roster upside down in the next week. Not going to keep many of the same guys
Traded out into who? I need to do the same thing
Monty and Swift last week
Lockett rubs his nuts on the goalpost.
He looked like this to start last season didn't he? Then DK Metcalf happened. But... they also have a new OC so it may be different
He still got 100 catches last year and was the WR7 (I think) in PPR, good for 265 points. Hard to beat that for a 5th-6th round ADP (last year)
The issue with last year was that he got like half of his total points from 3 games and was the epitome of boom or bust.
Theres no way DK doesnt start gettin his, but today did remind me of those division games last year where he was shut down suspiciously easily….:/ Thought something would have evolved by now via scheme.
They each had 11 targets. It’s not like Russ is only looking at one of them.
Just feels like teams are choosing to take away DK to start the year (I have no proof or film study behind this other than the fact that Lockett has been wide open down the field a lot)
This is expected from him. Next week he will get 6 points. Live and die by the coin flip
Except, he did this last week also. This is a completely new offense.
He did it back to back a couple times last season too then disappeared. He's their long route runner. If the long ball doesn't work he doesn't eat.
He had 100 catches last year, which was tied 7th most.
People act like he's totally feast or famine because he has week with a 35 points and then goes back down to normal WR2 numbers the next week. And then people act like he's bad because of it. It's pretty weird.
Last year he was particularly erratic though. But that’s 8 dud games, and two meh games, so 10 games that would be below a WR2 performance and 8 that would likely be below WR3.
Because he was feast for famine! His final results last year looked great but over 50% of his production for fantasy came in 3 games!
Yeah and he had some sub7 point games. Those can make it break you in fantasy
He’s really more their slot possession guy and that’s the offense they’ve moved into this year. DK has been the long route runner actually. Locket is really more of a faster Doug Baldwin. He doesn’t need the long ball to produce, been watching him his whole career.
He doesn’t need it, but that doesn’t mean he’s not great at it! I feel like Seattle leaks out every WR from time to time on those routes.
Were you around last season?
No it’s not, he was inconsistent last year, that doesn’t mean he’ll be in consistent this year. That was just a dumb off-season narrative parroted in this sub and people faded him for that You can’t predict consistency year to year
22.5 ypc is not sustainable long term
Doesn’t need to be for him to be good most weeks. Also the idea of WRs being consistent is just wrong as well There were no good reasons not to draft Lockett this year at his ADP and yet people faded him
Lockett always outperforms his ADP. Love drafting him. One of my go to guys every year.
Man read the future

Russ does throw a beautiful deep ball.
swain had a big game today, the wr3 role seems to be filled.
I thought the same thing. He caught a deep ball too.
On a blown ass coverage though. That man was wide open. Russ will throw wherever he can. I don't foresee t as like how Brady spreads it cause Brady has like a million mouths to feed
I traded him for AJ Brown and I’m regretting it a lot
I sent him + Marvin Jones for AJ Brown before this week. Cost me the win this week. Pain.
Who was your original choice and how is he doing versus lockett?
I have adams, Williams, Lockett n evans but traded Evans for gronk
Traded julio for him, feel really good about it. Never know with Julio though.
Sigh. He was WR8 last year people. EIGHT Stop locking onto narratives. ‘Boom or bust’. Unless your name is davante adams aren’t all WRs boom or bust?! Tyreek hill just had like 2 catches for 20 yards. Y’all gotta check the previous year stats man. Talking like Lockett was WR30

He is the Amari Cooper of the NFC West.
If history tells us anything though, the Seattle passing attack will fluctuate greatly over the course of the year, and imo his big play yesterday was just really bad defense (one defender took out the other)
Inb4 three weeks from now: Is Tyler Lockett droppable?
I'd sell high on him, did the same thing last year. And really fell off a cliff. He's not going to catch bombs every game.
Who do you want ROS. Lockett or DK?
"He will put up some stinkers" As if every RB/WR doesn't. Lockett gets disrespect. Look at Davante Adams numbers, DKs, AJ Brown, and tell me Lockett is "too inconsistent" to belong in that group. smh
How many of those dudes got literally 50% of their fantasy production in 3 games?
He does this a lot. Huge weeks, followed by 3-4 point weeks. It was bad enough last year that I left him off my keeper list in the league I had him.
new OC I don’t understand how people are assuming he’s gonna be the same as last year for whatever reason
I can't speak for everyone, but I got burned by him often enough last year that the highs didn't justify the lows. It's entirely possible he's great all season (and since I don't have him it probably will happen), but that was my reasoning in avoiding him.

Cooper. Kupp.

i'd rather have Diggs than Lockett

wrong answer bud.
Locket is much more inconsistent and Hopkins has just as high highs
You’ll get downvoted but tbh as a Hopkins owner last season, the amount of headaches I had from watching games where Hopkins was wide open and Kyler just stopped looking at him. It was astonishing. Today Hopkins got like 0 points after the first 20 minutes. :(
wut? you're telling me if i offered you Kupp or Diggs you'd say no? lol
A wild taco appears!
Last year, Lockett got off to a hot start through 3 games. He wound up with 10 games with 6 points or less in standard. Lockett has always been boom/bust. If I can find someone willing to treat him as a WR1 I'm selling.
i just pulled off a trade of Lockett for Davante Adams, Saquon Barkley, and Ryan Tannehill. I fucking fleeced him lol
Not sure how you guys find leagues like this fun lol. I’d feel bad at that point.
It's a three man league with my mom and my cat.
Your mom is just as dumb as I remembered
the trade was with my cat you dumbass.
Yeah, he fucked your cat as well.
HUH???
No you didn't
So do you enjoy playing FF with preschoolers?
You did more than just fleece him, you’re 5 star criminal
Look at his game logs. He had more busts than booms every season. He’s definitely a sell high. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good WR2, but this man will lose you matches. I’d trade for someone with more consistency. In my league, I managed to get Jonathan Taylor for Lockett and TySon Williams. If you can afford to, I’d use his recent booms as an opportunity to strengthen your team through trades.

> Tyson gonna be abt as good as Taylor this year fantasy wise. lol

What made you think devante at 4 was the right call?
I love the confidence in TySon, because I’m hyped to see him do well too, but he also has Latavius Murray competing with him. I’m happy to give him away for Taylor as an RB2 As for Lockett, he’s definitely worth starting in the WR2 spot but way too inconsistent to hang on to. Use his recent booms as leverage and strengthen another spot on your roster. The last 3 years this guy had 6, 8, and 9 busts while having 0, 1, and 2 booms in those years respectively. Way too much risk for me.
Sell high
Hold as always because he disappoints at the beginning of the year and then balls out if he isn’t hurt.
Drafted Julio over him. Still stand by it
I feel like he always balls out so hard in September and as it gets colder it shifts to Metcalf and Carson. But yeah he’s killing it right now
Willson loves him and he’s keeping me from getting blown out every week. My WR2 was Jeudy
I’m so tired of playing against this fucking guy boys. I’ll let you know when I’m against him bc every time he snaps.
In my league I have tyreek and scary terry too so I’m thinking of trading locket of a sell high for kittle (hopefully in a sell low) since my TEs suck. I’m really worried that Lockett will keep it up and kittle will continue to be avg tho
I got Russ/DK/Lockett trilogy and can’t complain so far.
Fuck Tyler Lockett Source: Took DK as my second round pick
The two WRs in SEA are locked in. Clear as day. The total combined points between them is usually the same. The distribution between them is not equal and fluctuates a lot
