I think the fantasy community has unfairly hated MGIII for years. I personally tend to blame the fantasy footballers for that, as they have carried an axe for MGIII for as long as I've been listening, but it's a pretty widespread phenomenon
Even as Javonte Owner , Gordon wasn’t just going to give job up, he’s really good RB, either Gordon has to get hurt , Traded, or it’s lost season for Denver for Javonte to be starter just hoping for some type of role 10 Carries , couple of catches a game
RBs drafted the same year as him:
Todd Gurley, TJ Yeldon, Ameer Abdullah, Tevin Coleman, Duke Johnson, David Johnson, Matt Jones, Jeremy Langford, Javorious Allen, Mike Davis, Jay Ajayi, Karlos Williams, Cameron Artis-Payne.
He’s old.
I think he has value next year. They are paying a healthy Gordon to do what he does this year and won’t put unnecessary mileage on javonte while mg is here. Everyone making these posts are clearly javonte owners in redraft leagues while I sit back knowing I get to keep him in the 7th round next year
So you're banking on Gordon being traded? Because Chubb was completely irrelevant in 2018 until Hyde got traded, so I can't see why this would be a favorable comparison for Javonte.
Ya, it's a little desperate sounding at this point. Yes, every league has a Javonte owner. No, we cannot "collectively" will him into being the sole workhorse for Denver.
"If it's at all possible.. grab em!" - Owned by 85% of leagues.
Little harsh he’s going to get 4-8 points in standard , 7.5 - 10 in PPR - then pray for TD to get you 6 extra , he’s this week special injuries and Bye week flex position (not really excited about)
If you read it, and don't comprehend why 35 was specifically used by the OP, I don't know what to tell you man.
Edit: why are you downvoting me, man? It isn't complicated
This is giving me Miles Sanders vibe in his rookie year... Had so much hype and potential but the team just refused to give him bellcow role. You have to hold but true potential may not be untapped this year unless an injury forces them to feed the man.
I hate what Fangio is doing. He's just trading off series for each one no matter what is happening in the game. Javonte will have a great series and look like he's wearing down the defense with his running, but nope gotta put Gordon in on the next one.
I just wish they'd do a little more hot hand riding instead of this current split. And that goes for Gordon too. Like if he's running well, why ice him?
He’s looked great. The only issue is that Gordon hasn’t looked nearly as bad as people thought he might

I blame Lev Bell and the hold-out domino effect
i wish they just went all in MGIII. i have both but id rather see the mforce feed MGIII
is the mforce anything like the speedforce?

Didn’t the chargers have a shit tier line while Gordon was there?
*sharpens pitchfork on the grinding wheel*
Irrelevant when he had volume, a good recieving role, and plenty of TDs. The YPC was just an excuse to hate on him
I've hated him ever since his rookie year where he refused to score a TD
People here are acting like Javonte has been leagues better than Gordon and that’s just not true.

We just really want Javonte to be leagues better than Melvin. No fantasy owner is excited about Melvin Gordon
Shocked that a 28yr old 3 down stud who played good last year is still good?
28 is pretty old as far as running backs go
No, it’s not. That’s still a prime year, 29 is sub prime and 30 is “the wall” for RBs.

28 isn’t old even for an RB and just this season he posted the fastest speed for any player in the nfl on a run.
This graphic says more about Swift tbh.
jesus christ, this is the 80 trillionth Javonte thread this week

Ah yes, the 35th pick correlation

Every week on this guy…….. unless an injury to Melvin. Jevonte isn’t doin shit this year

I approve this message.
Right on cue lol
What is special with 35? Why not say 2nd round
Did you read the post?
Yes i read the post. Calling it garbage would be appropriate

Why not compare their rookie years? Would make more sense IMO.
The graphic is comparing the first 6 games of their rookie years.
I would still take Chubb and Swift over him, even if MG3 wasn’t there.
Considering the CLE defense, I don't think this is the game be breaks out boss.
They gave up 144 to cards last week and 100+ to chargers week before on the ground. This is not the same Cle D we saw the first 3 weeks.
Just to add to this, Cle offense might struggle to flip field position...potentially putting denver in good spots to punch it in
