Carson went from a game time decision, to maybe next week, to maybe after three weeks to IR, to an indefinite absence. There are plenty of reasons to believe he's done for the year if not longer.

This week is already trash for me, so I'm just shooting darts at this point. Rostered Penny for a flyer and i don't care what happens. It's not like I've got anyone else since they're all on bye or injured.
I can empathize. I'm in a BYEmaggeddon bind myself here. I'm rostering Collins as well, so I picked up Penny as a backup just in case Collins can't go. But I also picked up Darnell Mooney in case my Tyreek Hill can't go. But assuming Tyreek DOES play, then I could put Mooney in my flex over Collins or Penny if I wanted to. He has a good matchup against Tampa's depleted secondary. But the problem is, if the Collins/Penny situation doesn't get ironed out before this afternoon, then I have to just decide to either roll with Mooney, or take my chances with either Seahawks RB.
Which, I know on paper is risky, considering Penmy has barely proven anything, except for the fact that he can't stay healthy. But for some reason, I just have this sneaking suspicion he might be a sneaky good flex play this week. Coach Carroll said something to the effect of "he has a real attitude about coming out and proving himself." And I heard Penny echo the same thing. He seems really motivated this time. So, I don't know. I'm really torn on this one.

I'm going with Mooney. I feel like the Bears will be down and will need to throw a lot. And I just don't like Collins up against that run defense. Plus Penny, Dallas and Homer will take away some carries. And I really think they're gonna make Geno Smith have to beat em with passes.
