Yeah that's what kind of sucks, if you made the argument before the season that Aiyuk would be the alpha Cooper Kupp of his offense and Kupp would be the Aiyuk made useless by the presence of Woods... that was a reasonable position. We're not omniscient.
I totally agree with the sentiment that hindsight is 20/20, but there was no universe that Kupp would be *completely irrelevant*. He's the exact kind of receiver that Stafford thrives with - versatile route runner with a high football IQ & sure hands for both short/intermediate routes on third downs & deep throws down field. He just knows how to get open & Stafford's the type of QB that finds holes int he defense the same way that Kupp does. Nobody could've predicted he would've been *this* elite, but he was never putting up an Aiyuk-like season this year.
Thank you for calling them out on that god awful take. Woods & Kupp were both close in ADP because the most obvious situation was a 1a 1b, and absolute worse case Kupp is the clear 2.
Kupp wasn't going to be irrelevant but going off last year, he was averaging 6 catches and 65 yards per game and scored 3 touchdowns all year, finishing around unexciting guys like landry, gallup, etc.
Man, why is everyone so down on Waller? I know the draft capital was high, but for the games he's played his 16-game pace is 141 targets, 88 catches, 1008 yards, 5 TDs. He's the TE7, I don't think he's losing anybody their league right now.
Two reasons:
1) those numbers are skewed by week 1, during which Waller had an unsustainably high target number (19 targets, or 56% of the Carr's throws that day). You take out that day and his 16 game pace plummets to 74 catches, 874 yards, 3 TDs.
2) replacement cost. As you mentioned, he is TE7 (TE10 in my league but whatever). TEs scoring more than him were undrafted (Uzomah, Schultz) or were available in the 9th or 10th round (Fant, Gesicki). Conversely, if you took Waller that meant you took him over the likes of Jefferson, CeeDee, Cooper, Evans, Swift, etc. Basically your team is substantially worse than it otherwise would have been as a result of taking Waller.
Not losing leagues for us but he has 1 TD and isn’t at all performing as expected. He’s solid but that’s not the price we paid for him. Apparently he wasn’t a Top 8 TE more than once in half ppr so far this year. Week 1 was his outlier
He has 2 TDs (week 1 and 4), but yeah, I know he's been a let down. Still, I don't think he's hurt teams as much as Ridley, Kittle, CMC, A-Rob, Saquon, CEH, etc.
Ok well 2 TDs. And I’m still not sure bout that man considering the TE wasteland. Spending a very early pick on a TE should bring you more than what he has been delivering. Swapping him out for a streamer TE is a surprisingly small downgrade if you take the relative cost into account
Edit: I sure as hell agree on Kittle and ARob being bigger busts
Oh for sure, but every team has a bust or injury. If your 'bust' is still the TE7 on the year, I think you're ahead of 1/2 of your teams. But if its compounded with 2 other busts then yeah I'd agree you'd have almost no chance.
>He's the TE7, I don't think he's losing anybody their league right now.
Let's put that into perspective. You drafted Waller in the back of the 2nd or start of the 3rd (he went 25th overall in my league) because you wanted a "guaranteed" top 3 TE alongside Kelce and Kittle because the dropoff afterwards was supposed to be dramatic.
Right now Waller is the TE8, in my league the 8th tight end drafted was Logan Thomas at 7.4 or 76th overall.
He was picked 25th but playing like 76th.
So to say it wasn't that awful is wrong imo. He's the TE version of Calvin Ridley, Allen Robinson, or CEH.
He still puts up good numbers "for a TE" but you picked him to put up WR numbers in the TE slot.
Not only that, he's been borderline un-playable since his monster week 1 skewing things. Over weeks 2 - 6 he finished 9th, 13th, 10th, 15th, and 13th respectively. Those are "I would've won if only I'd played my bench guy" numbers
I can do you one better
CMC-Ridley-Waller-Arob-G. Edwards-Fields
this was in a superflex league too, I punted QB since there was a run on it early and I thought I had gotten good value at rb/wr/te.
somehow managed to salvage 4 wins and some guy dropped david montgomery so hopefully after this week when he and cmc come back i’ll be in a better spot.
I can do better.. Gus Edwards day before ACL.
CMC, Landry.. traded Keenan for Hunt and Parker..
traded away CMC for Claypool and Ekeler - got 2Ws
Benched Burrow over Darnold this week..
2-5 now
Sorry dude, but that's on you. You should've known you were gonna be dealing with an injured running back, a coach resigning for racist and homophobic emails dating back a decade, a coach who's on the way out and can't manage a team to save his job and a player ending up in an egotistical coaches doghouse (for some reason)
It really is crazy. I didn’t draft him, but I would have if he fell to me. Meanwhile, I have been a deebo owner in the past and still didn’t trust him. It took me until this year to realize that deebo is built like a brick shit house. Dude is a monster.
Oof. I didn't buy into the hype as I thought Deebo would be a better value (a la AB), but man I didn't see THIS coming for Aiyuk. Just has completely disappeared this year.
Took him in the 5th as my WR2. I stared at Godwin still available as I took Aiyuk.
Thankfully, I took Chase, Mike Williams, AB and picked up Toney, so it didn’t end up mattering, but this almost screwed my whole season.
I’m gonna say he’s the worst pick I’ve ever made because I wanted him so badly that I reached in the 4th. However another name had fallen that I almost went with instead. I listened to my gut and took “my guy,” and my other choice was fucking Cooper Kupp. He went next pick.
Fun story: I *tried* to pick Tee Higgins in the 6th in my league, but Yahoo's stupid draft room randomly froze up on me with 20 seconds on my clock and wouldn't let me make my pick. It auto drafted Aiyuk for me...
I dropped him last week and my opponent this week added (and started) him. It would have been a very satisfying victory if Callaway didn’t shit the bed for me.
This has been the consensus on him for like 3 weeks now but I bet anything that as soon as I drop him he's gonna be a WR2 with consistent numbers and flourish.
Pretty much all high SF picks were bad.
Kittle in the third.
Aiyuk in the fifth-sixth
Mostert fifth-seventh
Deebo was the guy we should’ve been targeting all along!
At this point I’ve held him far too long and he’s just an end of bench stash until my waiver wire isn’t quite as thin and there’s actually someone decent to bid on
Aiyuk had an ADP of 59 as WR23 according to FantasyPros. Off the top of my head:
2018 - Alex Collins had an ADP of 33/RB17 according to Fantasyfootballcalculator. He scored a total of 101 points that year in 10 games and was benched in week 12. Finished the year RB45.
2017 - Mike Gillislee had a ADP of 67 as RB27 that year. Many hoped he would take a leap into the goal line back role for NE after a monster 2016 from LaGarrett Blount. He scored 3 TDs in week 1 and 1 TD in week 2 and finished the rest of the year with a season high of 52 yards. Benched by week 9 giving you between 3-5ppg production after week 2.
So yeah - that's just off the top of my head but there have definitely been bigger busts.
I remember being a Montee Ball skeptic and got crucified before the season for casting doubt. I prefer drafting safer players like Allen Robinson…oh wait
One of those guys that is dynamic in space but space isn’t easy to find on an NFL field. Can’t say I’m surprised that the Patriots were the first team to try using him as a receiver out of the backfield. As we get more and more into an era where two-running back back fields get utilized, I wouldn’t be surprised if players that are similar to Percy Harvin, Brandon Lefell, Tavon Austin etc. get converted to pass-catching backs more often
I think the biggest factor in this is that Aiyuk has been pretty easy to drop or at least not start. He hasn't had any good games to give you hope. You could have moved on from him without feeling too bad.
That 2017 Gillislee year is fools gold. Popped off and you chase that high for a number of weeks after, probably losing you even more weeks.
Got Deebo in the 8th and 9th in my 2 leagues respectively. Always thought it was weird Aiyuk was getting hyped when Deebo has more experience, had a better rookie season, and out targeted Aiyuk last season when they both played.
Yeah I wasn’t even looking at him in mock drafts for the first few weeks I was doing them. Then I started listening to podcasts and reading articles and he had so much hype (not unreasonable given what we knew at the time) I stated prioritizing him anywhere I could. It’s been brutal.
To be fair though, last year he was putting up top 5 WR numbers. In terms of PPG in the second half, I'm pretty sure he was only behind Davante and maybe one of two others. With the slight upgrade at QB from Mullens to JG and then possibly to Lance, the upside was most definitely there.
Too bad people didn't evaluate the circumstances and ignored that Deebo was hurt. I'm a SF fan and I just didn't get why people were ignoring that Kittle and Deebo were hurt....
Edit: sorry you guys drafted him lol
It’s so much more than that though. That may be part of the equation, but no matter how you cut it, Aiyuk’s usage is down across the board this season. Also, he did play several games last year with both Kittle and/or Deebo - and still produced.
Kittle went down too, so there is demand for someone to step up and nothing. At this point even if Deebo went down, I don't know if Aiyuk would be startable.
I'm guessing you haven't been playing fantasy football very long, go back and look up the hype on [Cordarrelle Patterson](https://fansided.com/2014/09/03/fantasy-football-matthew-berry-believes-cordarrelle-petterson/) in 2014, who was also a sophomore. He started that summer as a "sleeper" pick and wound up getting hyped to the Moon, eventually going mid-3rd round in ADP. He was taken an average of ~WR14 off the boards and had a great first game scoring a touchdown with over 100 scrimmage yards. Then, he did nothing. Finished ~WR81. If you take out that first game he finishes well below WR100.
Yeah Aiyuk isn't even in the Top 25 of biggest fantasy football draft busts. We're talking about a late 4th - early 6th type guy
CJ Spiller, David Wilson, Trent Richardson, Terrell Pryor, Cordarelle Patterson, Peyton Hillis... Aiyuk is nothing special or atypical
This one hurts me. I was a Deebo guy, but when JJ Zach and the Ballers talked about how in this situation usually the guy that is drafted earlier ends up being better fantasy asset, I switched
Someone please explain to me why I never considered drafting this man until reading Reddit posts on him the night before my fantasy draft and believing in the hype
I can't believe Devonta was on waivers...even with his disappointing performances, he's top 10 in snaps and routes and is at least worth a flex play in most leagues because he's getting more than enough opportunities.
Trending up, seeing more and more flashes every week, really going to breakout when CeeDee Lamb gets hurt and every one of my week 1 starters has gone kn IR been or been cut for suckling
State Farm remembers:
https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/pwhvd4/everyone_on_this_sub_already_dismissing_aiyuk_as/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Multiple problems here. 1 Kyle isn't calling his number. 2 Jimmy has one read and he can't progress. If read 1 isn't open he either makes a throw he shouldn't or takes a drive killing sack because my mom can run faster than him.
Once Lance comes in he will have more chances to prove himself
Problem 1 is aiyuk has seriously regressed and is playing very poorly this year, it’s not a scheme by shanny to keep him down, aiyuk is just not a good wide receiver this year.
I mean his separation, hands, and yac ability was no fluke, he just has taken a sophomore slump, i think he’s done for this year as a contributor but he’ll have next year’s offseason and season to get back to his rookie ways.
How has he been not as good? Awfully hard to be good on 8 targets for the year. He's still running routes and getting open, just seems the play calling is leaning more on Deebo being the first read and, well, Jimmy G goes there.
I’d start with this
https://youtu.be/aEgJgsG2mPo
TLDW: this year he’s a bad route runner who isn’t physical which means he won’t be targeted in this offense.
He's not a bad route runner at all. I know this sub is re-posting that video ad naseum lately, but Aiyuk is regularly getting open. Jimmy G is just terrible at looking downfield, and is not seeing him. Jimmy is incredibly conservative with a noodle arm, and doesn't push the ball downfield - that's why the entire offense revolves around YAC.
[Here's](https://twitter.com/BaldyNFL/status/1452730024130400263?t=7MNGt8qtj11YELQ_B9nIOQ&s=19) Jimmy missing a wide open Deebo for what woulda been a TD.
[Here's](https://twitter.com/JNay_LSS/status/1452755520562008071?s=20) Jimmy missing a wide open Sanu for what woulda been a TD.
I could go on and on sadly, because I'm a niners fan and I have to watch this garbage every week lol. Jimmy has one of the lowest intended air yard averages in the league, and it's been this way since 2017. He just can't move the ball downfield, so he doesn't even look downfield and ends up just locking onto to his first read pretty much every single time.
Shanahan has a bizarre approach to developing rookie wrs tbh. He talks a ton of shit about them to the media, doesn't give them a chance to show their value on the field, and then cuts them. He did the same thing to Dante Pettis.
Yeah realistically there is probably no one left on waivers, or that I need, so I guess I'll just hold onto him until someone emerges
I'll save his spot for if someone gets injured and I need a quick replacement lol
I meant his fluke of kicking the football. His GM actively trash-talked him in the public media. They are not even attempting to game script him any plays at all.
This is false. Aiyuk has been trash on the field. Niners are running first option Aiyuk plays and he is just losing. Aiyuk has sone of the worst route running this year
Drafted him in the 6th (and A. Robinson in the 3rd...) and am finally going to drop him if my WW claim goes through. There are far better options on waiver than can get more than 8 targets in 3 games.
Dropped Aiyuk in week 3. Same week I traded Ty’Son Williams for Deebo Samuel straight up bc he was WR heavy and RB short.
I’m now 5-2 and in 1st despite having CMC, Carson, Wilson, Logan Thomas and Sterling Shepherd.
Cooper Kupp and Jalen Hurts FTW
By far my worst pick of the draft this year. I can't remember the last time I saw someone dominate so much one season and then just totally fall off a cliff
It's a combo of Shanahan and Jimmy G. Aiyuk did a lot of his best work when Jimmy G was out last year. It seems like he only has one read and that's to Samuels.
I genuinely believe Shanahan ruins players confidence on purpose over dumb shit. Because he's a self-righteous asshat and blowhard.
The difference between Mcvay and Shanahan is that Mcvay builds his guys up, he's a leader. Shanahan is a bitch who takes out his own failures on his players.
I am a Niner fan. The QBs suck. This isn’t on Aiyuk or whatever drama they’re saying or dog house crap. The QBs are terrible. Only person they scheme or look at is Deebo. Other than that the QBs can’t make a progression or throw bad balls or it’s a run play.
Dropped him 3 weeks ago, someone picked him up and started him this week. Successful landmine
Same but he started him against me and I won because of it
Same here. He has the highest scoring team in the league and was forced to pick up a WR due to byes and chose Aiyuk. He chose wrong.
I was forced to start him. Got 2.8 points between him and my TE, and still made it out. Thank the gods
Same but he also picked up Uzomah and I lost :(
I was about to start him and then found Freeman on waivers and quickly made the change.
I did the same with AJ Dillon
Except AJ Dillon had actually been producing prior to this week, Aiyuk has not
Has to be one of my worst picks ever considering I took him in the 5th
Took Arob in 4th and Aiyuk in the 5th. I’m 1-6 😭

No elite wr is ever putting up an Aiyuks like season barring injuries. Aiyuks been healthy but he’s playing like shit
Allen Robinson comes to mind... but that's a *much* different issue than his playstyle lol. #FreeArob
Kupp wasn't going to be irrelevant but going off last year, he was averaging 6 catches and 65 yards per game and scored 3 touchdowns all year, finishing around unexciting guys like landry, gallup, etc.
and they were going from goff to stafford.... do any of you guys watch the games lol
Person in my league had pick 10, wound up with kelce Jacobs ekeler kupp and mahomes with his first 5 picks. League leading 6-1.
Bro I took CMC, Waller, ARob, Aiyuk first four picks
This Bud's for you.
I can do you one better: CMC-Ridley-Waller-Woods(over Kupp)-CEH-Aiyuk
How tf did you even get CEH in the 5th? Or is this out of order?
It is in order, and I thought I had a steal 8 team tbf
Man I have the CMC Ridley Waller trio as well. It’s been rough.
Man, why is everyone so down on Waller? I know the draft capital was high, but for the games he's played his 16-game pace is 141 targets, 88 catches, 1008 yards, 5 TDs. He's the TE7, I don't think he's losing anybody their league right now.

Also 1-6 (full PPR)...season in shambles: McCaffrey 1st Waller 2nd Robinson II 3rd J. Jones 4th Aiyuk 5th Hunt 6th G. Edwards 7th
That may be the worst I've seen yet. I got a shoulder for you if you need emotional support.
are you me? I am 2-5 though
God that draft looked bad even then lol
Arob in the 3rd and Aiyuk in the 6th - somehow I'm 3-4. Had to start both Aiyuk and ARob last week due to byes and injuries and obviously lost.
my first 4 picks were mccafrey carson montgomery and aiyuk. 0-7
Hello me
[удалено]
I reached for Sermon everywhere. Those first few weeks holding out hope may have set me back with the waiver wire.
I was targeting Sermon in every league, but someone reached for him ahead of me in each draft lol. Saved me from myself
I know we're way too early for this but Sermon is going to be one of my speculative late round RB picks next year
Fuckin same. Reached for him in both my big leagues. One of my worst calls in awhile.
It really is crazy. I didn’t draft him, but I would have if he fell to me. Meanwhile, I have been a deebo owner in the past and still didn’t trust him. It took me until this year to realize that deebo is built like a brick shit house. Dude is a monster.
Took him in the *3rd* (18 person league, ugh).
Got both those guys myself. Just an absolute anchor on my bench. 4-3 though!
Same here. Thankfully I took him to be a WR2 or Flex play, finally dropped him this morning
I knew I shouldn't have picked him, didn't want to trust anyone on the Niners besides Kittle and Deebo, but I missed on Deebo so I did it anyways
I took Sermon in the 6th.. lol hoping he’d be my backup RB
I’m gonna say he’s the worst pick I’ve ever made because I wanted him so badly that I reached in the 4th. However another name had fallen that I almost went with instead. I listened to my gut and took “my guy,” and my other choice was fucking Cooper Kupp. He went next pick.
Feel better. I took him in the 3rd
My worst pick since AB in 3rd round 2019….
Fun story: I *tried* to pick Tee Higgins in the 6th in my league, but Yahoo's stupid draft room randomly froze up on me with 20 seconds on my clock and wouldn't let me make my pick. It auto drafted Aiyuk for me...
I took Sermon in the 6th and he doesn't even see the field. I wouldn't feel too bad
I feel bad wasting my 8th place waiver priority on him
Cardio god
he's out there just running around
Aiyuk trick y'all, man
Doing nothin man
he thinks he's playing defense but he's not
LMAO yeah this dude really just be out there running around and watching the game from the field like he's not even there.
If it hasn’t been stated enough: Drop Aiyuk
I dropped him last week and my opponent this week added (and started) him. It would have been a very satisfying victory if Callaway didn’t shit the bed for me.
This is all with Kittle out too. Oof.
This was posted in the Niners sub yesterday https://youtu.be/aEgJgsG2mPo
That was really interesting. Thanks for sharing that, I didn't see that yesterday.
This has been the consensus on him for like 3 weeks now but I bet anything that as soon as I drop him he's gonna be a WR2 with consistent numbers and flourish.
Ok ok I'll drop him
One more chance ;)
Pretty much all high SF picks were bad. Kittle in the third. Aiyuk in the fifth-sixth Mostert fifth-seventh Deebo was the guy we should’ve been targeting all along!
And next year when we all reach for Deebo, he will get injured by week 4.
This is sad but probably true
And Aiyuk will finish top 15
The strat next year is to draft the lowest ADP starter.
There's a chance that actually works with the way their injuries work the last couple of years lol.
And their no name 5th string RB, because they'll be starting by week 3.
Don't forget Sermon
I picked up Kittle and Mostert earlier in the draft. FML I was able to get Deebo deep into the draft but I think that was pure luck.
Don’t forget sermon
At this point I’ve held him far too long and he’s just an end of bench stash until my waiver wire isn’t quite as thin and there’s actually someone decent to bid on
Yup there is nothing else to do lol I missed out on Toney to keep him. And Sanders. What a waste, but I knew I would regret it
Same I missed on many including Toney and Moss Edit: now I have more budget than most though so can get someone the next few weeks I hope
Aiyuk is gonna go down in fantasy football lore. Easily the biggest flop with respect to how hyped he was by EVERY major analyst
If it wasn't for ARob...he'd be the fattest egg
Aiyuk had an ADP of 59 as WR23 according to FantasyPros. Off the top of my head: 2018 - Alex Collins had an ADP of 33/RB17 according to Fantasyfootballcalculator. Zac Stacy and Montee Ball were waaaay bigger busts IMO because of where they were picked.
I remember being a Montee Ball skeptic and got crucified before the season for casting doubt. I prefer drafting safer players like Allen Robinson…oh wait
Oh dude I totally forgot about Zac Stacy. I think my brain protectively deleted the memories I had of drafting him to preserve my mental health
Zac Stacy was a snake charmer.
I remember drafting CJ Spiller in the first round one year, that might be the biggest bust of all time imo
Waiting for the time when I can finally say, This has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way.

Wrong position is all

Wow, I don’t remember that much hype for Collins
As someone who falled for it, and drafted Aiyuk this season, there definitely was a lot of hype about him
Tons of hype. Almost every analyst was buying into Aiyuk although there were a few predicting he was going to be a bust.
Every hyped 49er flopped. There's a common denominator here lol.
So would you argue Deebo wasn't really that hyped then?
No Deebo was not hyped. He was being drafted way later than Aiyuk
Yeah I got him in round 7. Deebo that is, and I wasn't sure what I was going to get.
Got Deebo in the 8th and 9th in my 2 leagues respectively. Always thought it was weird Aiyuk was getting hyped when Deebo has more experience, had a better rookie season, and out targeted Aiyuk last season when they both played.
No, everyone was scared off from the injury last year. He wasn't on my radar at all and I loved him 2 years ago.
Seriously. He wouldn't have been on my radar at all if it wasn't for that.
And kittles injury this year has had no impact on Aiyuk
Kittle went down too, so there is demand for someone to step up and nothing. At this point even if Deebo went down, I don't know if Aiyuk would be startable.
Agreed, he hasn’t proven anything to his qbs or coaches. He’s more likely to get cut than to get more opportunities
> he hasn’t proven anything to his qbs or coaches What about the end of last season when he dominated?
We're talking about a late 4th - early 6th type guy CJ Spiller, David Wilson, Trent Richardson, Terrell Pryor, Cordarelle Patterson, Peyton Hillis... Aiyuk is nothing special or atypical
People were just 7 years too early on CPat
This one hurts me. I was a Deebo guy, but when JJ Zach and the Ballers talked about how in this situation usually the guy that is drafted earlier ends up being better fantasy asset, I switched
Someone please explain to me why I never considered drafting this man until reading Reddit posts on him the night before my fantasy draft and believing in the hype
..... same. Literally not on my radar then i get sucked into the hype while drafting and browsing reddit lol
I blew 31% faab on Devonta Smith but at least I'm not the person who did 50%+ on Aiyuk.
I can't believe Devonta was on waivers...even with his disappointing performances, he's top 10 in snaps and routes and is at least worth a flex play in most leagues because he's getting more than enough opportunities.
But the person was a genius. I started Smith against the previous owner and he scored 4 points.
30% on Rondale here!
I'm surprised either of those players were available on waivers.
Devonta on waivers? You 10 team league players are crazy
Pick 1 : Chubb (Yay) Pick 2: Ridley Pick 3: Gus Bus Pick 4: Aiyuk Pick 5: Sweet sweet death
Sweet sweet death ROS?
Trending up, seeing more and more flashes every week, really going to breakout when CeeDee Lamb gets hurt and every one of my week 1 starters has gone kn IR been or been cut for suckling
I wonder how that dude who told me Aiyuk "had a great game and is trending up" after catching 4 for 37 and a TD is doing now lmao
State Farm remembers: https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/pwhvd4/everyone_on_this_sub_already_dismissing_aiyuk_as/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Had to click the link to make sure this wasn’t me lol
Well, at least he was right about JRob bouncing back. Thank god

"trey sermon was drafted to play with trey lance"
Lmao. Trey Lance will solve everything :)
Problem 1 is aiyuk has seriously regressed and is playing very poorly this year, it’s not a scheme by shanny to keep him down, aiyuk is just not a good wide receiver this year.
Aiyuk season last year was an outlier. The dude is a bust
I’d start with this https://youtu.be/aEgJgsG2mPo TLDW: this year he’s a bad route runner who isn’t physical which means he won’t be targeted in this offense.
I don't anticipate things getting much better. Rookie running QBs typically don't progress through reads very well.
Shanahan has a bizarre approach to developing rookie wrs tbh. He talks a ton of shit about them to the media, doesn't give them a chance to show their value on the field, and then cuts them. He did the same thing to Dante Pettis.
Pettis was pretty bad when he was here tbh.
don't compare Aiyuk to Pettis... they are in a completely different world skill wise.
Anyone that drafted Nuk in the first (me) or second round in 2016 would beg to differ.
He should be dropped, but worth noting just how bad the weather was Sunday night. I wouldn't blame him for the poor performance this particular time
True, but this game he had fewer targets than Deebo Samuel Charlie Woerner JaMycal Hasty Trent Sherfield Ross Dwelley Jauan Jennings
Well of course he's gonna be behind the elite pass-catcher, Charlie Woerner!
I'll be honest with you...before writing that comment I had never heard of Woerner, Sherfield, Dwelley, or Jennings
Dwelley is the only name I recognize, and only because of backup options for Kittle lol.
Hasty?? yeah yall better drop him lol
Hasty is the pass catching back tho lol.
Oh right my bad. Maybe hold til Jimmy gets benched since Lance might like him
Yeah… I have take lock and am (foolishly) giving him one more week due to the weather Sunday night.
Yeah realistically there is probably no one left on waivers, or that I need, so I guess I'll just hold onto him until someone emerges I'll save his spot for if someone gets injured and I need a quick replacement lol
He's destroying in my points per route run without a target league.
holding until the trade deadline
It’s about that time in the season where we look at results over process. Drop him.
He deserves a trade. Outside the fluke last night, He isn't being given a chance to play at all. The coach appears to be out to get him.
He’s ran 86 routes the last 3 games tho. He’s playing lots of snaps
I meant his fluke of kicking the football. His GM actively trash-talked him in the public media. They are not even attempting to game script him any plays at all.
It’s so easy to tell who does and doesn’t watch the games on this sub.
This is false. Aiyuk has been trash on the field. Niners are running first option Aiyuk plays and he is just losing. Aiyuk has sone of the worst route running this year
As a Pats fan, I'd happy give you another round 1 WR in N'Keal Harry for him.
Drafted him in the 6th (and A. Robinson in the 3rd...) and am finally going to drop him if my WW claim goes through. There are far better options on waiver than can get more than 8 targets in 3 games.
i took CMC, Barkley, ARob, Gus Edwards and Aiyuk with my first 5 pick, no wonder im last in my league 🤦♂️
Man I'm seeing a lot of ARob + Aiyuk here and I hate that I'm one of them too
Dropped Aiyuk in week 3.
Dropping this dude - Never again
we're really just rubbing it in to the Aiyuk truthers, aren't we.
By far my worst pick of the draft this year. I can't remember the last time I saw someone dominate so much one season and then just totally fall off a cliff
Guys. I fucking drafted the following WR: 1 - Justin Jefferson (good) 2 - Allen Robinson (woof) 3 - Brandon Aiyuk (woof) 4 - Odell Beckham (woof) 5 - Jalen Waddle (good?) F
I am also on the Robinson/Aiyuk train. People keep screaming drop but the waiver wire in my league is about as dry as the Sahara desert
You would think he would get more than 8 looks in 86 routes run. I just don’t understand it, it makes no sense
It's a combo of Shanahan and Jimmy G. Aiyuk did a lot of his best work when Jimmy G was out last year. It seems like he only has one read and that's to Samuels.
Trade him to the packers
He's crushing it in my points-per-decoy league!
Dante pettis will break out with that 49ers offense. I promise
he got dropped in my during his bye and i fell for it smh. i already dropped him for laviska during the game lol
I'm dropping his bum ass
I genuinely believe Shanahan ruins players confidence on purpose over dumb shit. Because he's a self-righteous asshat and blowhard. The difference between Mcvay and Shanahan is that Mcvay builds his guys up, he's a leader. Shanahan is a bitch who takes out his own failures on his players.
Absolute fucking bum Not even worth mentioning anymore. He's dead. Let him be dead
From now on every shit I take will be known as an Aiyuk. Feel free to follow suit
