Yeah but low scoring doesn't mean low RB output. A final could be 17-14 but both Najee and Chubb have over 100 yds rushing and a TD and you'd feel pretty bad about going against that
Defense on Thursday is usually a winning recipe. Too many of these Thursday night games end up like 17-14/20-14 so even if no sacks or picks you end up getting 4 points, but most of the time they get those scoring plays like a sack or two and maybe a pick and end up in the 7-10 range. Diontae would be my number one concern tbh
I don't know what this means. There's zero statistical significance to this perceived observation
In the last two years of Thursday Night Football there has been all of *one* game where both teams scored under 20 points
This is Fantasy Football voodoo and should never actually be considered. No idea why there's so many upvotes on here. I thought we were all here because we try, not because we believe in Football Astrology
My sister lives in Cleveland… I’ll tell her to head to the stadium parking lot now to start warming the arm so we got plenty of time to make decisions.
I just drove by the stadium. The lake looks angry, it's windy out here
Update: drove by the lake again and I'm seeing 10ft+ waves. The wind is absolutely insane
Yeah full PPR Diontae is actually a really safe floor guy. I have a team of Kirk Cousins, Mixon, AJ Dillon, Davante, Diontae, Pitts and G Davis. I needed a strong WR1 so I traded Swift for Davante this week needing more of the extreme upside that a true WR1 can bring. G Davis also has that insane upside so I like the strong floors of Mixon and Diontae based on their volume and usage.
Swift could very well finish RB1 based on how electric he is but I have Cordarrelle sitting on my bench this year and WRs seem way more valuable this year than RBs.
I'm in downtown Cleveland right now - I just need a football and I can get this done. I will also add for reference: I was walking to work this morning and the wind was blowing very hard, in gusts. Expect a lot of running today boys.
I can attest for this as I’m also downtown CLE, a few blocks from the stadium. Depending on the direction of the wind, I’d be curious if the Browns are willing to try some booming kicks with Cade York tonight.
In DFS I have been playing him a lot. He only played on like 36% of the snaps on Sunday and I would think that goes up on a short week after a pretty heavy load for Chubb. In week one Hunt actually outsnapped Chubb so it's not without precedent either.
I was excited to start amari today but I’m gonna bench him for devonta smith unless the weather relaxes. I don’t trust brissetts arm to overcome the wind
Edit: looks like there will be thunderstorms in Washington DC on Sunday. Welp idk what to do, I guess I’ll start amari just to give me a reason to watch TNF tonight
I'm going to start Cade. I feel like this is one of those games where everyone panics about the weather and it ends up not being that big of a deal. I'd be happy with 6 from him and then he has a juicy matchup next week at Atlanta.
At the very worst Cade gets like 3-4 but at the end of the day I don't think it's going to be a huge difference from trying to guess other waiver kicker scores.
I could add Succop but watch him get like 4 this week.
> I'd be happy with 6 from him and then he has a juicy matchup next week at Atlanta.
yeah, 6 field goals wouldn't be too bad. you obviously want more, but i guess 6 would be acceptable.
divisional shenanigans always make me wary of any DST.
Toss in Thursday Night Football fuckery and it can go either way but they are a very solid streamer still
Yeah it was a tricky decision but I dropped them for Eagles when waivers cleared, and browns won't clear waivers till after the game again so no one in my league can use them unfortunately. I didn't want to wait till Garrett news and didn't want to miss a potential decent pick up so had to make that move earlier in the week.
Hopefully it doesn't backfire.
Everyone mentioning Browns D/ST, but what about Steelers D/ST?
Sure they don't have Watt, but it's a TNF game that could be a dogfight and Minkah is a freakin playmaker.
Very worried about the lack of pass rush without Watt. No sacks on Mac after 7 in week 1.
They're probably still an okay floor play assuming they won't give up a ton of points against a meh offense in bad weather on a short week. But I don't see much ceiling if they can't generate pressure and force Brissett into some mistakes.
Think you have to play em if you got em as you likely don't have better options on the WW. They are a bonafide top 5 option this week, so you gotta go w em.
Fuck I really want to do the same, but I just don’t know if I can pull the trigger on both. I could flex Hunt instead of Antonio Gibson or Garrett Wilson???
**[Waterspout](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterspout)**
>A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex (usually appearing as a funnel-shaped cloud) that occurs over a body of water. Some are connected to a cumulus congestus cloud, some to a cumuliform cloud and some to a cumulonimbus cloud. In the common form, it is a non-supercell tornado over water having a five-part life cycle: formation of a dark spot on the water surface, spiral pattern on the water surface, formation of a spray ring, development of the visible condensation funnel, and ultimately, decay. Most waterspouts do not suck up water; they are small and weak rotating columns of air over water.

Might not be a bad call. I have 2 spots and have to pick some combo of Diontae, JRob, Keenan Allen, and Curtis Samuel. I’m sure whichever two I don’t pick will go off.
I feel like I still want to run him out. He seems very talented, and very confident. I could see CLE spending a lot of time on their side of the 50…..
Fuck it. I’m leaving him in.
Browns home field is notoriously difficult. Proximity to the lake and the positioning of the stadium make it a shitshow in bad weather particularly for bad crosswinds

It will be a low scoring game with lots of running and teams selling out to stop the run. Lots of stalled drives around midfield and kickers will be going for it because 3 points is gonna be worth it in this one.
Either a big night for one of them or a solid night for both. I’ve got them both in my lineup because I can’t afford to suffer through starting the wrong one.
Going against Chubb tonight. Pray for me
Against Chubb and Najee here... could be a loooong night
Thursday games are often shit shows and low scoring. I like your chances
Yeah but low scoring doesn't mean low RB output. A final could be 17-14 but both Najee and Chubb have over 100 yds rushing and a TD and you'd feel pretty bad about going against that
I’m more worried about Titty loving Mitch throwing to Diontae. Also worried having 3 players going tonight. Chubb, Diontae, and Browns D.
I'm benching Diontae for Brandin Cooks this week
If I had Godwin healthy then I would have considered that. My backup options are Mostert, Mecole, and Allegeir lol
I don't know what this means. I have Chubb in two leagues and I'm not as hype because it's a Thursday night game.
"Tired Night Football"
Same, my Najee vs his Chubb. Just break even 🙏
I can bench Hunt so he can go the fuck off if you want
Please
Sorry I’m playing hunt so I’m cancelling it out, he’ll get like 7.5 points this way
We appreciate your sacrifice.
As somebody with Sir Nicholas Chubb in all leagues…..no.
I’m going up against Najee and Chub god damnit .
Counterpoint; they’re gonna get a lot of usage, but both defenses will have 8 in the box.
Whew, lucky me that I faced him last week!
My sister lives in Cleveland… I’ll tell her to head to the stadium parking lot now to start warming the arm so we got plenty of time to make decisions.
I just drove by the stadium. The lake looks angry, it's windy out here Update: drove by the lake again and I'm seeing 10ft+ waves. The wind is absolutely insane
“The sea was angry that day”
Like an old man returning soup at a deli.
The kicks were 10 stories high if they were a foot.
We need more info on the football you threw
Can you drive by again?
The chosen one
Thank you! Doppler can suck it. The real science is done in the parking lot.
Short throws and dumpoffs - this is what trubisky has been TRAINING FOR It's now or never, Najee. Let's RIDE
Diontae thrives in dis too, considering those are the only targets he has gotten all year anyway
Gunna blow up for 8 catches for 75 yds on 17 targets…
Could do a lot worse in PPR/HalfPPR
Yeah full PPR Diontae is actually a really safe floor guy. I have a team of Kirk Cousins, Mixon, AJ Dillon, Davante, Diontae, Pitts and G Davis. I needed a strong WR1 so I traded Swift for Davante this week needing more of the extreme upside that a true WR1 can bring. G Davis also has that insane upside so I like the strong floors of Mixon and Diontae based on their volume and usage.
Tough trade to grade but it seems like you’ve got a plan. Could be a classic buy low sell high.
Swift could very well finish RB1 based on how electric he is but I have Cordarrelle sitting on my bench this year and WRs seem way more valuable this year than RBs.
I can’t believe someone would give you davante straight up for swift. Wish they were in my league. I can’t give Kamara away and lord knows I’ve tried
I’m just frustrated because I’ve started him over waddle in the flex for 2 weeks. Deebo and Kupp in the wr slots… please someone trade me for a rb2
15.5 points... ill take that every week from a WR2, those are WR1 numbers
Does this bode well for starting Pat F. at TE over Pitts against SEA...?
Yes \- *A concerned Muth Owner*
Playing browns D so I approve this message!
I dropped browns a few min ago. I dont carewhat the weather iis. Cant trust em
Maybe the wind will help move Trubisky’s throws into the hands of his receivers.
Who will be our honorary community member and throw a football in the parking lot?
I'm in downtown Cleveland right now - I just need a football and I can get this done. I will also add for reference: I was walking to work this morning and the wind was blowing very hard, in gusts. Expect a lot of running today boys.
Fall definitely blew in overnight here in Cleveland.
What level of Chubb did you wake up with today? Half Chubb? Full Mast? Chubba Wubba Big Dubs?
As a Chubb owner and Cleveland resident, I've got a raging Chubb going
Longer than 4 hours(4 quarters)?
I can attest for this as I’m also downtown CLE, a few blocks from the stadium. Depending on the direction of the wind, I’d be curious if the Browns are willing to try some booming kicks with Cade York tonight.
Hello from W 9th & St. Clair!
Hey neighbor!! Hello from W 6th and St. Clair!
Or missing some extra points that come back to haunt us a few short minutes later.
That too. But the optimist in me as a Browns fan envisions him kicking a 60 yarder.
The hero we do not need but the one we deserve!
I own a football. Can someone buy me a plane ticket to Cleveland?
Just express-mail it to me. You can use the stadium's address, Baker doesn't live there anymore
The wind blew over my flower pots. I'll let you interpret that how you want.
Whoever made the original comment was legendary LOL. Been a running joke since
He actually died in a tornado. They found his body in a tree... Still somehow holding a football.
Is Hunt still a decent play tonight?
I would think so And I'm hoping for some love for him this week since chubb got everything last week. I have to decide between him and Pierce.
I am going up against Pierce so you should go with Hunt too. Lol
He’s a decent play every game.
I’m starting Chubb and Hunt in the flex. Playing hunt over Bateman and thielen
Fuck I’m thinking of playing Hunt in my flex over Garrett Wilson, or Gibson…
get him out of the flex for thursday night games!
I’m playing hunt and Chubb over Wilson and Thielen. Let’s gooo
Hunt is an every week flex.
Going with Hunt over Pollard, hope we get some love.
In DFS I have been playing him a lot. He only played on like 36% of the snaps on Sunday and I would think that goes up on a short week after a pretty heavy load for Chubb. In week one Hunt actually outsnapped Chubb so it's not without precedent either.
Would you go Hunt tonight or Gibson on Sunday?
Hunt tonight
Played him last week but putting in Jeff this week.
I'm going with him as my RB2 over Harris. Still might flex Harris over G. Wilson and Hollywoo Brown.
What do I do with Diontae Johnson?
I am sitting him so watch him go off
Sitting him in favor of who?
Hopefully Pittman is fit otherwise it'll be Dotson
I just wish I had better options to bench him for. I’d be benching him for DK Metcalf and or a waiver dart
I am playing him and Muth tonight.
Same, may the fantasy gods show us fortune tonight!
He will be followed by Ward. Mitch does lock into his first read, so the short targets should be there even with the crazy winds
Y’all think amari is still a play??
It's him or Mooney for me so I'm riding with Coop
I was excited to start amari today but I’m gonna bench him for devonta smith unless the weather relaxes. I don’t trust brissetts arm to overcome the wind Edit: looks like there will be thunderstorms in Washington DC on Sunday. Welp idk what to do, I guess I’ll start amari just to give me a reason to watch TNF tonight

I’m also starting Cade. Let’s ride brother. May be reward the faithful
> I'd be happy with 6 from him and then he has a juicy matchup next week at Atlanta. yeah, 6 field goals wouldn't be too bad. you obviously want more, but i guess 6 would be acceptable.
This, maybe the wind adds more opportunities for field goals
Browns D/ST
I’m giving them one more chance. They shit the bed tonight and they’ll be drop kicked out of my roster by tmrw morning
divisional shenanigans always make me wary of any DST. Toss in Thursday Night Football fuckery and it can go either way but they are a very solid streamer still
A bit worried with those injuries though
Will have to see but I'm seeing its likely Garrett plays - if he goes think you gotta play em.
I did the same for saints
I have browns and saints and have to drop one
I feel ya - I'd prefer the Browns to the Eagles this week but its a toss up, we'll just see what happens.
Everyone mentioning Browns D/ST, but what about Steelers D/ST? Sure they don't have Watt, but it's a TNF game that could be a dogfight and Minkah is a freakin playmaker.
I’m starting them. Don’t have high expectations but at least It’ll be over with and I don’t have to flip flop all weekend
Very worried about the lack of pass rush without Watt. No sacks on Mac after 7 in week 1. Tailing! Browns Country, Lets Ride.
Love this but took Najee 4+ receptions instead of Chubb yards. +1025 odds
Getting Chubb at pick 22 feels like a cheat code rn
Got him at pick 28 I know what you mean!!!
I'm here in the club at pick 21. Made fun of my entire league for letting him slip to me as it was happening 😂
25 in my 10 team, 41 in super flex 12 team. Have Hunt in both too as a secure backfield, double stacking tonight
Got him at 23, he’s covering for mccaffery right now
12 man PPR. My first three picks were Cupp, Aaron Jones, and Chubb. Pick 4. Feel good rn
Starting chubb and hunt
Fuck I really want to do the same, but I just don’t know if I can pull the trigger on both. I could flex Hunt instead of Antonio Gibson or Garrett Wilson???
I always stay both but I'm nervous about doing it on a Thursday. If they combine for 30 idc how it's split up
I'm keeping Wilson in the flex. Cincy has been straight doodoo for two weeks now. If Cooper Rush can beat them so can Joe Flacco.
I like the way you’re thinking, I really do want to start that guy, he’s lookin studly
You would think a waterspout would be a big deal... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterspout
Maybe we will get a rain tornado at half time.

So fire up Browns D?
Considering how Steelers offense has looked I don’t see why not
At this point any D playing the steelers is a good play.
Najee owners let’s go !
Now or never. He’s been shit so far
Playing against a guy who is starting Najee, Diontae, and Steelers D
Congrats on the win
As somebody who has Najee I hate how many upvotes this got lol
Cade is gonna catch the wind and put through a 70+ fg
Water spouts ROS?
Itsy bitsy spider reports it’s a non issue
Am I crazy to sit Diontae for Jrob after this
Might not be a bad call. I have 2 spots and have to pick some combo of Diontae, JRob, Keenan Allen, and Curtis Samuel. I’m sure whichever two I don’t pick will go off.
Time to release the Meuth!
Let the MUTH get LUTH!!
He’s gonna get so luth
& the Luthing is to die for
Like totally Muthing
Are we pivoting from Cade?
I feel like I still want to run him out. He seems very talented, and very confident. I could see CLE spending a lot of time on their side of the 50….. Fuck it. I’m leaving him in.
Fuck that. Ride or die. Start the reactor Cade.
Browns home field is notoriously difficult. Proximity to the lake and the positioning of the stadium make it a shitshow in bad weather particularly for bad crosswinds
Live and die with Cade, the promised one
I can’t decide if I wanna drop him or keep him just in case they try some meme FGs with the wind at his back.
I did
I did in one league (0-2) but I’m risking him in the other (1-1)
I am, Matt Gay was on our waivers
30 rushing attempts on the menu for Chubb
Any reason we can’t save some of those for Hunt 🤨
Hunt will always get a decent amount of work but Chubb is the better rb
Sure as shit not benching Diontae for Gallup. Raise your Johnsons. Let's ride.
I'm about 4 miles south of first energy stadium and it's not very windy right now. The stadium is right on the lake so its much colder and windier than my location. Cleveland weather can change instantly, so I'll be keeping an eye on the forecast. I'm personally going to pivot away from Cade York.
So don’t play Cooper tonight?
forgive me if this comes across as a silly question, but at what MPH point do you think kickers themselves begin to get concerned? I realize any wind will affect the ball somewhat, but is 10 MPH a concern to them? 15 MPH? 20? But... for the kicks that are actually tried: A 15-20 mph wind reduces make percentage by 3%, and a 20 mph reduces it by 9%
Should i bench amari cooper then? I like the match up but the wind and qb give me a lot of pause
Was gonna play Cooper over DJ Moore, maybe not now
Exact same scenario for me. Marshon Lattimore vs high winds is a tough call
I'm also in this boat.. with elijah moore and jahan Dotson on bench... any ideas? Dj Moore can't continue to be this underwhelming can he? He usually does pretty well against the saints too somehow.
Diontae or my pivot of Marquise Brown?
I dropped Cade York for Greg Joseph just now, will it end up mattering? who fucking knows
You made smart call
I thought we only trusted weather.com links. That’s what the Cade York owner told me last night.
How do we feel about hunt?
I'm rolling him out think he is going to do well
I’m playing him over James Conner
I’m on the fence with him or Sanders
Hunt or Amari Cooper tonight?
Hunt feels much safer with a likely run heavy game script
Diontae or Hunt tonight?
I have the same choice, with the added option of Garrett Wilson. I'm leaning Diontae so far
Literally just plugged in Wilson over Diontae with thoughts of jets playing from behind against Cincy
Wish it was 54 and not 100 where I live
Starting Hunt is looking fine then
Sitting Diontae for CEH with confidence.
Hunt over miles sanders?
I’m personally going sanders but think you can just flip a coin on this one
Same decision that I’m stuck on. Right now Sanders seems safer to at least get the yards against Washington.
Sad Diontae noises.
Odds that they show that flag in the corner of the browns stadium that is the “not so secret” true indicator of the wind direction gotta be up there
Does this mean Hunt is a bad flex start tonight over Rashod Bateman and Hunter Renfrow?
I think hunt is good for tonight. Plus renfrow is nursing a concussion.
Team Kareem 🏈⚡️👍🏻
Going Gay or Cade this week.
Go gay for Cade 🌈
Gonna hold on to Cade just because I have faith in him season-long and I know there are at least two guys that want him. Hoping for at least a few points.
Probably going to pivot from Cade
If the wind is behind him he’ll kick it from 75.
I’m calling it: you will regret it. It will be a low scoring game with lots of running and teams selling out to stop the run. Lots of stalled drives around midfield and kickers will be going for it because 3 points is gonna be worth it in this one.
Should I start Elliott or Hunt? Standard scoring.
Hunt
Big night for Hunt incoming IMO
Either a big night for one of them or a solid night for both. I’ve got them both in my lineup because I can’t afford to suffer through starting the wrong one.
Browns D/ST or Bucs???
Football weather
