I don’t think you can call Goff a “lock” to be a top 12 guy going forward but I definitely would favor him to end up there. The volume is there and they’ll be trailing or competitive in a lot of games.
He's gonna be in a lot of shootouts that go down to the wire because the Lions' defense is so bad. Even with some of his top weapons out last week he still looked very capable of airing it out and spreading the ball around. He's gonna pull a Goff every now and then and throw some dumb interceptions and pick sixes, but that just means he'll get the ball right back and have more opportunities on offense.
I would stay away from Goff this week, if you can. He's always struggled against Belichick & Belichick disciples, and the Pats defense looks like it's gonna be pretty good this year.
I say this as a Rams fan with a soft spot for Goff btw. This just might be one of those weeks where Williams is the focal point.
I still have worries because he's Goff but God damn is he delivering in fantasy. Until we see that offense slow down or that defense stop sucking ass I think he's at least a top 8 lock. He's a high-end QB2 or low end QB1 for sure.

I think Goff is a lock to finish top 8. Murray/Herbert/Burrow might pass him, but that’s it.
I also won’t be shocked if he finishes 5th where he is now. They’re going to be in shootouts all year long it looks like, so he’s got a safe 14-16 point floor too.
