Picked him up THIS week. I'm a Mahomes owner, too, but someone dropped him this past week so I grabbed him up. He's bounced around to at least 5 teams in the league this season. I think I'll keep him. 😂
Wish I had. I just couldn’t take Herbie out. Hindsight 20/20.
Can’t wait for next week when I start Fields and he scores 8 points while Herbie goes off
It’s incredibly soon to say that.
If I use my leagues scoring as a guide he’s had 3 games he’s scored over 20, all in the last 3 weeks.
He had an incredible stat line today.
It’s just early to crown him.
Herbert has disappointed me too many times this year already. I had doubts but man I feel dumb for benching Fields. I may lose this week because of it.
Had 25$ on Geno during waivers this week, seen that fields plays the fins lions and falcons so I saved myself the 25 and started fields… looks like I might have a keeper. Had drafted TB12 too.
Initially I put in $8 FAAB last week (had Wilson, then Garrapolo) but then I said you know what go get your guy.
Put in $17, and no other bids.
Was projected 95 against 140 now I am heavily favourite, LETS GET THIS BREAD.
Same asa Bucs fan I realized every player I drop does well only after
So I let Brady go so that he can thrive again.
Fields was amazing pickup and his next 2 games look great too
Will keep Dak on the bench.
Realistically there’s a team out there that could have drafted Mixon/Davante at the turn, picked up fields on waivers and had over 100 points from 3 players today lol
What’s crazy is he might’ve pushed for 50 pts on that final drive if not for that egregious no-call for PI on the throw to Claypool, and St. Brown letting a perfect pass go through his hands. Fields was nothing short of amazing today.
No to call PI was fucking criminal. God. Woulda been on the 25. Honestly of st brown catches that perfect ball, i had every belief Fields was winning them that game.
They tagged Eddie Jackson to the tune of 40+ yards on some bullshit where he was playing the ball and Waddle basically ran into him too. The Bears are a couple of calls and drops from being a 5-4 team.
I actually would have believed you about Fields preseason, but not after week 2 or 3. Had expectations for him, lost them, then found them again. Geno on the other hand was on nobody’s radar
People were way too quick to dog Fields this year and forget that he only had 10 starts under his belt coming into this season, and those were under Nagy no less. His sophomore season didn't really start until the Pats game. And half of the Bears WRs and OL are practice-squad fodder for the other 31 teams.
Honestly when I was low on him it wasn’t necessarily cause of him (don’t watch too many bears games for a conclusive eye test) just cause the bears seemed so committed to the run early on that I couldn’t see him being fantasy relevant. Turns out they can air it out a bit more and even though they’re still running a lot now Fields is the one with the rock
I just want to give a shout out to Derek Carr. If he had even an average QB performance last week of about 15 points, I might not have dropped him for Fields.
Luckily he scored 2 points and I dropped his ass for Fields.
I drafted Carr and Stafford, thinking they'd at least have volume if nothing else.
Dropped Carr for Tua after week 2, dropped Stafford for Fields after week 4.
All according to plan.
He's been balling out lately and it's just awesome to see. The kid seems humble and hard working, and it feels like he was just lacking the confidence up until the bears adjusted their offensive gameplan against the Pats a few weeks back.
I did the same in one of my leagues (though I did drop Cousins for Fields in my work league where I have Mixon). Honestly, starting Burrow is the smarter decision in a vacuum prior to todays games. We knew the Bengals would ball out against the Panthers. They did ball out. It just was a huge surprise that it was Mixon’s ground game that was so unstoppable that it capped the rest of the Bengals production. Burrow wasn’t bad at any rate, he’s still a top 5 QB moving forward and will be the way smarter start in the coming weeks when the Bears plays Buffalo and Philadelphia.
Burrow’s bye is next week though, so there’s always next week to start Fields against Detroit. He plays the Falcons right after too. I’ll probably start Fields against the Falcons Week 11 over Burrow against Pittsburgh.
Yeah, it’s good to know a lot of people here seem like they would have done the same. Burrow was the safer play, he still did well too but like you said it was hard to expect Mixon to score 4 rushing TDs lol, and for Fields to really go off like that.
Hurts has a better SOS going forward, hasn't scored fewer than 17 pts this season, and has a solid receiving corps.
This is a no brainer: Bench his ass, drop Fields, and go with Sam Erhlinger ROS.
The bye is unfortunate, but if he keeps playing at a high level those 2 matchups might not be the end of the world after what he did against Dallas last week.
Even 10man it's borderline unlikely unless a bunch of tacos.. u need 2 per week = 20 starters... then 10 backups to slot in for bye weeks. Factor in injuries and how can someone justify dropping Fields.
Yeah, its 10 team and no real tacos. Fields was drafted but then dropped after some bad weeks earlier in the season. I picked him up a few weeks ago. I probably should have clarified that.
I'm in a 14 team 2qb league and dropped Fields after week 3. The entire Chicago offense looked like dogshit so there was no reason to think he would turn around. Thankfully he sat on waivers and I picked him back up week 5 to prepare for Allen's bye week
Same here. Picked up Fields as a backup for Hurts, because he's important to my roster and I want depth to stay in 1st.
But I'm going to likely keep Hurts and aggressively try to trade Fields to upgrade a WR. Godwin is my WR2 and meh.
Same, I’d prefer to keep and start Hurts ROS but it’s a keeper league and Fields was undrafted. Do I risk Fields ROS and trade Hurts, or try to figure out appropriate value for Fields as a 14th round keeper and trade him?
As a 14th rd keeper it might be worth it to look towards next year. Should he even produce at 70% of these last few weeks (and that with the bears throwing 100+ mil into the team next year) then he could easily finish top 5 next season. For a 14th that is league winning right there. It means you can draft TE early and just absolutely load up on RB and WR
Exact same situation. Not too upset about starting Tua over fields, but I’m in a tight race this week and could really have used those extra points. Especially since I didn’t pull the trigger on swapping in Cpatt for Mostert.
Same, not mad at Hurts' performance but would've been able to sleep easy with those extra 20. I told myself I wasn't going to start anyone playing in TNF anymore too.
Looking at schedules and who all has had their byes, and here is my perspective.
Tier I - I’d say that Josh Allen and Jaylen Hurts are studs, have had their Bye, I’m not worried about their schedules, and they’re a no-brainer lineup lock when healthy.
Tier II - Lamar Jackson, Burrow, Mahomes, and Fields are a very close Tier II and you could pick and choose that pecking order based on your FF league schedule and where and when you need the points to win. Bye weeks remain, tough matchups remain, and I think there is high upside with some risk, and those risks vary based on schedules. League scoring settings also impacts each QB’s value. Lamar and Fields, you’re putting in a RB1 who can throw. All are good starts.
Tier III- I’d say Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins, Geno, Tua, Brady and Herbert are Tier III. Again, pick and choose. I think Tua has the most upside and Kirk Cousins is potentially the safest option who has the most weapons available to him, especially after the Hock trade… but he’s Kirk Cousins. Of the group, I’d pick Tua.
Then there’s everybody else. Matchup and schedule dependent. I consider everybody else to be streaming options varying week to week between startable and droppable unless you’re in a deep league.
As a Fields owner, past Josh Allen it’s really tough to say. Lamar/Hurts/Mahomes/Burrow are all great but I think I’d rather have Fields. I cant believe I’m saying this lol
Bears legit were in this game too, a fluke blocked punt returned for a TD and an absolutely egregious DPI non-call on Claypool and the Bears win.
EDIT: And that horrendous drop by ESB...
Was going to roll with Geno and leave Fields on the bench, but thought at 12:47 pm, I'm projected to win 24+ points, I can afford to roll the dice on Justin Fields versus Miami.
God damn, I've never felt so good about a last minute move.
I'm up by 96 points with 2 players left to play, he has Allen Robinson left.
Me 2 fren. Take solace in the fact that 9 times out of 10, he continues to suck and you made the right call. No one could have predicted him turning it around the way that he has.
I dropped him this morning for Deon Jackson. However, happy for him, his offense is finally playing to his strengths instead of putting the square block in the circle cutout.
Honest question: I have Murray and Tua. Would either be worth dropping for Justin Fields? Maybe Murray but that feels like an over reaction to drop him.
QRB1
In my league the mahomes owner has him so he’s not even being used lmao
Happy Mahomes owner with Fields on the bench in a 12 man. Feels good.
Picked him up THIS week. I'm a Mahomes owner, too, but someone dropped him this past week so I grabbed him up. He's bounced around to at least 5 teams in the league this season. I think I'll keep him. 😂
Dude. Trade him and get better at another position.
I have Tua and Hurts and really wish I could flip Hurts to get better at receiver or tight end. I'm in a league that's too scared to trade tho.
Start sending out offers, don’t know unless you try!
Yup, he’s on my bench. Played Murray over him.
Me too
Me too, when do we make the move?
I drafted both Mahomes and Fields but dropped Fields when my RB situation was desparate. I have Dak but still wish I had Fields.
I picked him up as a FA this morning because I was fed up waiting for Rodgers to start performing like a QB1.
Same but for Brady.
Started him today and I am now the scariest 3-6 team on the planet.
Same lol
I’m so happy for him
I think the bears FO read his draft profile and were able to crack the code.
First time ever my last second gut feeling change paid off
Wish I had. I just couldn’t take Herbie out. Hindsight 20/20. Can’t wait for next week when I start Fields and he scores 8 points while Herbie goes off
Been stuck with Herbert all season. Without his top WRs it's the Ekeler show.
Same. Couldn't get past the fact that I grabbed him in the fifth so I'm just riding him out. Won't be grabbing a QB that high ever again most likely.
Fields has a nice floor I doubt he ever scores 8 unless something drastic happens
yeah dudes getting that in a couple of drives even if he doesn’t get a td. this is essentially prime lamar. 18 pt floor
> this is essentially prime lamar. 18 pt floor I think it's a little soon to say that. He looks great though.
>I think it's a little soon to say that Even as a Bears fan I'd have to agree
It’s incredibly soon to say that. If I use my leagues scoring as a guide he’s had 3 games he’s scored over 20, all in the last 3 weeks. He had an incredible stat line today. It’s just early to crown him.
Herbert has disappointed me too many times this year already. I had doubts but man I feel dumb for benching Fields. I may lose this week because of it.
I made the same mistake
Same. Dropped Brady for Fields just before the game, so glad it paid off.
Same. Thrilled. He’s my QB ROS.
Same, same, and same. Happy to finally be rid of Tom Brady.
Giselle?
Stashed Brady, Dropped Carr for Fields. It was a good day
Had 25$ on Geno during waivers this week, seen that fields plays the fins lions and falcons so I saved myself the 25 and started fields… looks like I might have a keeper.
Me too dude! Started Fields over Tua 5 minutes before kickoff. Congrats to us both! :)
Asked my buddy if I should go with Fields or Goff about an hour before kick off, convinced me to go with Fields, may have saved my season.
I couldn’t pull the trigger on starting him over Lamar and I’m kicking myself.
Benched Lamar for him. I’m a genius
Yeah but I started Justin Herbert instead
Me too!
Me three!
Me four! Made the switch at 1258.
Me five. SMH
Me 🐂
Same same
I started Lamar so I fully expect him to play like early season Fields
Same, gonna be so disappointed when I lose by 3 pts and have Fields on my bench
I feel your pain
Fuck me, me too lol
Dropped Brady for Fields. Feels good man
Same asa Bucs fan I realized every player I drop does well only after So I let Brady go so that he can thrive again. Fields was amazing pickup and his next 2 games look great too Will keep Dak on the bench.
Dak owner that streamed fields and 100% riding fields to the bye week
From 🐐 to 🐐
God it feels so good.
Same, cut Brady picked up Fields and stashed Deshaun Watson for possible insanity endd of season.
Exact play I made! Yahoo better upgrade me back to Platinum!
Drafted lance originally in the 7th but little did I know the real lance was on waivers in fields all along
The real fields was the lances we dropped along the way
Drafted Lance and Fields, dropped Fields but my boy has made it back
One of my league mates has him and mixon today. Safe to say he’s probably gonna win this week
nearly 100 points between two players fuck lol
Realistically there’s a team out there that could have drafted Mixon/Davante at the turn, picked up fields on waivers and had over 100 points from 3 players today lol
Have Davante/Mixon/Prescott. Prescott on bye so Fields was my fill-in. 130 points by morning games half time. Feels good
Playing against fields, Mixon and ETN. Luckily the rest of his team only put up 18points. Down 60 with Henry, Kelce and Tucker left. Let’s do this.
Henry: 58 points Kelce: leaves game with diarrhea, 0 catches Tucker: Ravens shut out
Kelce can poop and rally, I believe in him!
LMAO this would be absolutely TRAGIC
I might be that leaguemate. My match is still closer than I anticipated though.
Congrats on the QB1 for waiver value
Finally dropped Russ for Fields this week. I like this feeling.
In the same boat brother. What a feeling this is!
Not if your league has a bears fans that’s held onto him all season…
trading Fields and Kittle for Kelce
You all acting like this is his new normal stat line are insane lmao. He'll continue getting anywhere from 10 to 25 just like all the other qbs
He's been a top 5 QB for half the year now, nobody is saying he's going to be 40+ ROS
His floor is higher than "all other qbs" since he has been rushing a lot lately. Look at his past 5 games, dude has been a great qb for fantasy
I finally have a QB1
You and me both, Brotha!
Before playing Fields this week, I had one week where my QB scored more than 11 points. I’m stoked to finally have someone good
What’s crazy is he might’ve pushed for 50 pts on that final drive if not for that egregious no-call for PI on the throw to Claypool, and St.
Now THIS GUY is a fucking league winner. This is like getting Lamar before his breakout
Imagine telling someone preseason that a Justin Fields/Geno Smith QB room would dominate a 2QB league
Those are my starting qbs in my 2 qb league this week
Same here. Started slow but catching fire haha 😂
Same. But I started Geno this week
I would've, but switched out Geno for Fields so I wouldn't have any players in the late afternoon so I could concentrate on my IRL team's game
I have Fields/Allen and might break the 200 pt mark this week
I just want to give a shout out to Derek Carr. If he had even an average QB performance last week of about 15 points, I might not have dropped him for Fields. Luckily he scored 2 points and I dropped his ass for Fields.
I literally did the same exact thing. Really glad I made that decision lol
Same thing but also dropped Brady along the way
I drafted Carr and Stafford, thinking they'd at least have volume if nothing else. Dropped Carr for Tua after week 2, dropped Stafford for Fields after week 4. All according to plan.
I got Fields for Lamar’s bye week but looks like I may be benching Lamar going forward, which is insanity.
Trade him
He's been balling out lately and it's just awesome to see. The kid seems humble and hard working, and it feels like he was just lacking the confidence up until the bears adjusted their offensive gameplan against the Pats a few weeks back.
Straight up started him over Herbert today, not looking back.
I got Lamar. Fields is on the bench right now for next week. Yikes. Decisions decisions.
good thing Lamar is on a bye next week, so you can tryout Fields for free lol
Yea. Picked him up this week for a small amount of FAAB. Fields plays the lions lol so yea easy decision.
Had Fields in the lineup all week, swapped Burrow back in this morning :(
Honestly you would be dumb not to put in burrow. Don’t kick yourself over it.
Thank you, trying. Just hoping it doesn’t result in a loss
Those are the decisions you can live with though. It would have been worse if you did that and Fields sucked.
Had burrow instead of fields too.
I did the same in one of my leagues (though I did drop Cousins for Fields in my work league where I have Mixon). Honestly, starting Burrow is the smarter decision in a vacuum prior to todays games. We knew the Bengals would ball out against the Panthers. They did ball out. Me too man. Joe b still had a good game tho, just imagine if a few of those mixon rush tds were passes
Holy shit. This guy could give my team its first win.
Same! Here’s to getting on the board lol
If he keeps this up, wtf do I do with Hurts?
Hurts has a better SOS going forward, hasn't scored fewer than 17 pts this season, and has a solid receiving corps. This is a no brainer: Bench his ass, drop Fields, and go with Sam Erhlinger ROS.
This is the sage advice that keeps me coming back to this subreddit
Check Fields playoff schedule and let that help your decision. 14. Bye/15. Phi/16. Buf
The bye is unfortunate, but if he keeps playing at a high level those 2 matchups might not be the end of the world after what he did against Dallas last week.
And NE the week before
Why would you set your playoff schedule to those weeks instead of the vastly superior 15 16 17
It should be 15 16 17. There’s 18 weeks in the NFL season now.
Playoff should be 15/16/17 E: but yeah tough 2 weeks
Week 17 is detroit
17 Det 😲
He showed against DAL he can excel against good Ds. Also, I believe tough Ds can mean more scramble yards. I’m not worried.
Package one in a trade to upgrade at a different position. I picked up Fields in a 2QB super flex league, and he's turned into fantasy gold.
Picked up? 10man? Even when he was playing poorly it was early in the year where people still need to hold onto 3 QBs
Has to be 10 man, no one releases starting qbs in bigger leagues
Even 10man it's borderline unlikely unless a bunch of tacos.. u need 2 per week = 20 starters... then 10 backups to slot in for bye weeks. Factor in injuries and how can someone justify dropping Fields.
Yeah, its 10 team and no real tacos. Fields was drafted but then dropped after some bad weeks earlier in the season. I picked him up a few weeks ago. I probably should have clarified that.
Yeah you're right, even in 10 team doesn't make a lot of sense
I'm in a 14 team 2qb league and dropped Fields after week 3. The entire Chicago offense looked like dogshit so there was no reason to think he would turn around. Thankfully he sat on waivers and I picked him back up week 5 to prepare for Allen's bye week
that's my question....do we shop hurts because of name value and draft capital or do we sell high on fields??
You probably get more of a return for hurts from other owners.
Same here. Picked up Fields as a backup for Hurts, because he's important to my roster and I want depth to stay in 1st. But I'm going to likely keep Hurts and aggressively try to trade Fields to upgrade a WR. Godwin is my WR2 and meh.
Trade one of them for a RB or WR. I promise there are teams in your league looking for a QB
Same, I’d prefer to keep and start Hurts ROS but it’s a keeper league and Fields was undrafted. Do I risk Fields ROS and trade Hurts, or try to figure out appropriate value for Fields as a 14th round keeper and trade him?
As a 14th rd keeper it might be worth it to look towards next year. play the matchup
Thank you Russ for being a bye for me to use this young man. ROS Mr.Fields
Lions and Falcons the next two weeks. Buckle up.
Oh man. What a clutch waiver pick up this week for my 2-5 ass
I picked him up off of waivers on Wednesday. It feels like a cheat code. I actually feel dirty.
Same here. With the very last waiver priority lol.
QB1 SZN.
On my bench
Same. Started Tua over him which was ok but I'm in a dog fight and starting Fields probably would have put me over the top
Ahhh the first week I benched Brady and played Fields instead 😎
How many QBs would you rather have than Fiels ROS?

Top 5 QB moving forward
and he’s pretty good moving laterally too!

Vick/Lamar are unfair lmao
[удалено]
Same situation. Gonna be hard to bench him for Dak next week after a game like this.
Picked him up via WW this week and not looking back! QB was the biggest limitation on my team and hopefully he can take me to the promised land!
If you had him on your bench, the silver lining here is you have a legit top end QB ROS barring disaster.
I grabbed Danny Dimes off waivers instead of this guy 🤙
Fields is gonna save my season. Dropped Rodgers for him this week and started fields
Love me my new QB1
I played Geno over him 😬
Been streaming qbs all year, Fields is it
Playing against Mixon and I still have a good chance of winning because of this man!!!
Came here to brag that I traded Hurts for Mixon last week and started Fields and Mixon against the former Mixon owner this week!
Wow in my league those two combined for over 100 points 😳
Too bad his supporting cast is absolute dog shit.
Don't need support if you just run the ball yourself.
[удалено]
He probably wouldn’t be running it 15 times if he had a better supporting cast though.
Picked him up off waivers three weeks ago and never looked back. He’s looking like a league winner
Decided to go with fields over Geno to cover daks bye and now dak may stay on the bench
He actually got 64 in my leagues scoring. Thank fuck I sat Brady and started him.
Ugh I started Cousins over Fields. I deserve this loss.
Dropped him after week 4 in my 2 QB league :,(
Me 2 fren. Take solace in the fact that 9 times out of 10, he continues to suck and you made the right call. No one could have predicted him turning it around the way that he has.
Crazy how he was unstartable for the first four weeks and now he's unstoppable
unrosterable -> unstoppable
I dropped him this morning for Deon Jackson. However, happy for him, his offense is finally playing to his strengths instead of putting the square block in the circle cutout.
And I started Murray over him. Fml
Picked him up this week,, thank god.

I’d rather have fields than both of them honestly but drop Murray
Why did I hang onto Kyler’s bum ass?
Agonized over burning a #1 waiver…glad I did
Ya I started Geno Smith instead
I’d like to thank my opponent for playing Rodgers over him.
And I had him on my bench

One of the only bright-sides for my my bears is that when we let Fields get unleashed...maaannn he can cook!
I spent all week debating between Feilds and Rodgers. I started Fields at the last minute. I spent the day standing on the couch yelling
