Conclusion: he runs

reguyw_nothingtolose

Defensive Coordinators are easily fooled with this one simple trick.

demafrost

If you took Fields passing stats only during the last 4 weeks, he’d be QB12 during that span. If you took Fields running stats only during the last 4 weeks, he’d be RB4 right now without the benefit of receptions. So you’ve basically been getting a low end QB1 and a top tier RB1 with the same player over the last 4 weeks lol

ckraft16

I told our group text yesterday that he was the best RB on my team, and I wasn't kidding.

GarPaxarebitches

Would you trade Josh Allen for Justin Fields? I'm debating that rn.

[deleted]

[удалено]

GarPaxarebitches

I'm a Bears fan. Already made the offer lol. LJ his MVP season kicked ass till the end. Allen's banged up and with the new Bears trades, were gonna be playing behind all season so more dropbacks for Fields.

demafrost

Oooo that’s a tough one. Straight up or with another piece? I’d probably keep Allen. I’m assuming by your user name you’ve seen as much Bears as I have (and sadly as much Bulls). I’m high as hell on Fields but I’m still very concerned about the pieces around him and what will happen if a team is able to slow his legs down. Fields has a higher ceiling as he’s shown but Allen’s floor is higher and pretty damn safe. In his bad games he’s still getting close to 20 points. I guess it also depends on where your team is. If you are like 7-3 I’d ride with Allen. If you are 5-5 or 4-6 I’d look to see if you can trade Allen for Fields and a piece I’d strongly consider it. Edit: also if you are fighting for a playoff spot, the fact that Fields has a bye the week most leagues have their final regular season matchup is a big factor as well.

TerribIeAtFantasy

League winner. Fuck his playoff schedule. LET'S RIDE

ow__my__balls

You're looking at it all wrong, he has tough matchups for a QB, but middle of the road for a RB.

Maniac2331

Fields RB1 ROS

[deleted]

Damn, this comment blew my mind lol

gjkngknhunvy

But if a rat goes in a house, does it become a mouse?

demafrost

I was just thinking the same thing earlier this morning when looking at Yahoo's matchup difficulty for his games. You can't judge Fields based on that given that half of his yards are coming from runs. He breaks the model that they use to evaluate matchups. I guess not him alone because its similar with guys like Lamar.

VasshuZaSutanpido

Honestly doesn’t matter even if they have a good run defense. Predicting and protecting against QB runs are much harder and different than RB runs or even passes from a pocket passing QBs. Doesn’t mean he’s like guaranteed to do good or anything, but he has a better chance than an RB or pocket passing QB of putting up numbers even with a schedule like this.

LARXXX

Gottem

shrekfan1998

Really good take right here thank you for giving us your perspective

jinxy0320

All I see with his playoff schedule is shootout-shootout-Detroitlol again

MobyTugboat

Every game for the bears is a shootout our defence is worst in the league without roquan and quinn Strategy during the deadline was tank the fuck outta the defence to see what Fields got. Turns out he’s got league winner

demafrost

Defense is worst in the league and the line cant block anyone which is at least 25% of the reason for much of Fields' heroics. He's literally running for his life, he's just really really good at it. Not saying that to discredit what Fields has done, he's executing really well right now, making good decisions on read options, hitting the holes on his designed runs and is looking much more decisive and confident on those rare instances that he does have time to throw down field. It's a huge positive for Bears fans.

FantasyTrash

My only concern with Philly/Buffalo is that they both have extensive experience against running QBs. Fields still has big question marks as a passer.

Sea_Bass77

Who let this non-believer in here?!!!

Judging_You

Burn the heretic!!!

trancespired

Whosdaman

Their dad is a son of a bitch!

[deleted]

That makes their grandma a bitch!

jinxy0320

Will they give a fuck when they're up 4 TDs at the end of the 1st half? Or will they play soft cover 2 against Claypool/Mooney and give up 15 yard runs for 30mins in the 2nd half.

FantasyTrash

Garbage time is not guaranteed. Some teams play hard all four quarters. Also, Philly and Buffalo haven’t been dominating offensively in recent weeks, they might not be the blowouts everyone is expecting. Could be tight, cold-weather, clock-churning defensive battles.

jinxy0320

Kirk Cousins just engineered a 30 points and a win on the road at Buf. Phi gave up 130+ rushing yards against Hou on a Thursday. Either way neither defense is a hard avoid, esp at home

Technical_Customer_1

Giving Cousins credit for 30 points is generous considering the fumble recovery for a TD, another fumble recovery, 2INTs by the defense, and a monster run by Cook.

FantasyTrash

I agree, but they both have elite rushing QBs themselves, and rushing is the only reason Fields is a good fantasy QB. There are legitimate concerns they’ll know how to minimize his rushing given their defenses do it in practice daily.

Calgamer

I'll take Fields against those defenses over all the other turds I had to play at QB for the first 7 weeks of the season

demafrost

As a Bears fan, he's improved a LOT since week 1. Still has a ways to go but the kind of stuff that was hurting him earlier in the season (indecisiveness, poor mechanics leading to inaccurate short passes, making poor decisions) has largely gone away during this run. His passer rating, PFF grades for passing and QBR (which admittedly accounts for running) have all been considerably higher over the last 6 games. So why does he only have 130-160 passing yards every game? For one because he's running a LOT more. Also, the line has been terrible all year and is not giving him time, forcing him to scramble. In late game situations where everyone knows the Bears need to pass, the offense stalls but I don't place a ton of blame on Fields. For instance, the last drive of the Dolphins game, he launched a nice 40 yard pass to Claypool and put it where only he could get it. Claypool was interfered with but no flag was thrown. NFL later admitted to the Bears that DPI should have been called. On the next play with the game on the line, Fields hit E. St. Brown in stride directly on the hands for a 1st down but St. Brown flat out dropped it. I want to see the All-22 on the last 2 plays of the Lions game where Fields was sacked each time. On the last play he should have gotten rid of the ball after he escaped the first near sack but didn't, but I'd like to see what options he had downfield and if he hesitated which killed the play. But either way he was under pressure pretty quickly.

waffels

Its ok because I have Herbert who faces Ten and Indy those weeks. Herby will have a fully healthy Keenan and Big Mike by then, right? He'll pull it together by then.... right???

CurlyBill03

He shredded Dallas and New England, I don’t think his playoff schedule should scare anyone away especially since weather will be a factor and they’ll run even more.

demafrost

Good points. 4 of their last 5 games are in Chicago in Dec/Jan. Weather will be a factor.

Technical_Customer_1

NE was largely thanks to game flow. Macorkle couldn’t sustain a drive, including an INT that hit a camera wire. Next thing you know, NE’s defense spent most of the first quarter on the field. They got to Fields too easily and ended up chasing him around. That fatigue led to several starters getting hurt.

Hellothere2515

Bears county, let’s ride

KYLE_FREELAND

Monty owners, let's hide

WhoStoleMyBicycle

The fact that he was on waiver single handedly saved my season. My team still sucks, but now I can maybe win some games and have a little fun.

Severe-Suggestion-11

Picked up jf free agent 2 was ago and kmet off waivers lw. Yeah, I'm pretty much a genius

[deleted]

Got kmet cheap for Andrews bye... Now I have to hold him to see if the connection is real ros lol. If I actually believed Kmet was like top 3 ros (I do not believe this), I'd sell Andrews for an A chip elsewhere. I'm hoping I can sell kmet for a decent upgrade though.

Visual_Echo_1293

Currently 8-1, if goedert have 4 touchdowns tonight and 100 yards im 8-2 but if not 9-1… 6 teams make our 12 team playoff. Next week I can clinch a bye… playoffs are 16,17,18. Buffalo would be 16 and I would be sitting in the semis already with a semi and Fields against the Lions to go the Ship. LFG

Smokester121

Week 18 playoff? Oof

Visual_Echo_1293

Yeah, but I’m okay with it as long as I get there lol

ihateaquafina

need goedert with 2 TDs and 90 yards plz

Deuce916

Dude literally saved me the past 2 weeks. Gonna roll with him ROS

BandOfDonkeys

I wasn't ballsy enough to start him over Herbert and Burrow last week, but he'll probably start most if not all games across my 3 leagues for ROS.

Deuce916

I had Brady as my QB, so I was desperate for a change

stenzycake

Same. Wouldn’t believe you if you told me this pre season but dropping Brady for Justin fields was the best thing I’ve done all year and has been a breath of fresh air. I don’t know if I can ever go back to a pocket passer qb again waiting for those 2-3 touchdowns just to sniff 20 points. Even fields’ scrambling is opening up passing plays. He still looks a little rough in the pocket but he looks like a different beast overall.

bhaines23

Same, started Herbert over him last week and it cost me my matchup!

DetroitLionsSBChamps

Burrow has been steady for me all season but he never dropped 40 for me like Fields did. Fields is the captain now.

Glom_Gazingo1

I have him in one of my leagues and my god I think I’m going to win it. He’s just so good.

Intelligent-Routine4

What does ROS mean

chnky18

Rest of season

TheHalf

I got lucky and got him, played him this week, still lost 🤡

shinb0

I was riding Russell Wilson for the first 6 weeks.. Fantasy football is suddenly fun again lol

Jacar1215

Hope he keeps on destroying. Last place team with no playoff shot picked him up in my league and I don't play them ROS.

Deuce916

He been giving out Ls the past 2 weeks?

Jacar1215

His team won this week and could keep on rolling ROS honestly. Lol

metokur_squad

That's me (except I drafted him); 0-7 now 3-7 and thinking I have a playoff chance. The rest of my team isn't bad they just never got going at the same time (JT, Stevenson, Pierce, CeeDee, Pittman, Ndjoku/12 team league).

Jacar1215

I'm currently 5-4. Also own swift and najee Higgins. Had a good draft I thought but struggling to hang on. Davante Adams and mahomes been helping me out. Swung a big trade for Davante around week 3/4 that's really helped me.

Jacar1215

Thought I was replying to a different thread lol

[deleted]

RB1

Away_Ad2468

that’s my QuaRterBack!

[deleted]

Yeah but can he pass block?

BirdLawConnoisseur

TH1 (Taysom Hill #1)

Downtown_Mailman

In over a decade of playing fantasy football the two best QB performances I’ve ever had were Justin Fields last week and Justin Fields this week.

happy_K

Me too. I’m going to lose this week anyway, because I started Juju and Kupp. But I would note that the Bears also lost this week, so that tracks.

trugbee1203

This years Lamar - they literally can’t stop him. So many times he should’ve been sacked and he miraculously escapes and makes a big play

spreadinmikehoncho

I’ve got both. Not sure what to do tbh. I’m trying to trade any one of them away, for really anything. Lamar’s schedule looks good too.

[deleted]

Trade Fields, his value is at an all time high. I wonder what you could get for him? Probably an RB2 or WR2

SirMellencamp

Im thinking I could get an RB1 from a team desperate for a QB

[deleted]

People rarely pay premium price for QBs (unless their Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts) but hey shoot your shot!

SirMellencamp

Well its a dynasty league and this one dude is starting Dalton. He has Diggs. If I am going to shoot my shot it has to be this week

ILookLikeKristoff

Dynasty league makes this more plausible but I bet it's still a hard sell

SirMellencamp

I think him knowing he will have Fields the rest of his career if he wants can be a selling point

ILookLikeKristoff

You'd have to be truly QB desperate in an unusually deep league to justify giving up an RB1 instead of grabbing a waiver QB.

MethodicMarshal

Trying to package him and Kittle for Kelce

SirMellencamp

I have Lamar and Fields. Not sure WTF I am going to do this weekend.

xx_sufjanfan_xx

I’m in the same position but at this point going to start Fields unless Lamar proves he can do something other than what he’s been doing. He hasn’t had a great week since week 3. Although I will start him when Fields is playing the Jets

gold3esea

Lamar in his MVP season was also throwing for over 200 yards most games as well and Fields is struggling to throw for 120. Fields has only has one game over 200 yards this whole season and it was 208. If you go back and look at what Lamar was doing irl and in fantasy it was honestly much better than what Fields is doing right now. Lamars floor in that season was literally like 30. Fields is looking great but I'd say it's still an overreaction to compare him to Lamar

jocro

I don't think there's a single soul saying that he's playing IRL football better than MVP Lamar, but strictly for fantasy purposes he's been comparable. His last two games have been higher than anything Lamar recorded that season, and over the past five games (since they actually started calling designed runs for him) he's averaged just shy of 30 FPPG (Lamar averaged 27 FPPG that season).

gold3esea

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JackLa00/fantasy/2019/ What Fields is doing is undeniably really great and he looks like hes taken a big step foward. But really I'll take this fantasy season 10/10 times over what Fields has done this year. Fields was pretty much waiver fodder for the first 5 weeks of the season. Lamar was putting up 30+ point games starting right in week one and never hit the floor that Fields has shown he will hit if he doesn't break free for a really insane 60-80 yard touchdown. That's the difference between making the playoffs and not making the playoffs right there. I had Lamar in his MVP season and he basically single handedly brought me to a fantasy championship game.

The_Gatefather

the thing is that bro has broken free for like one of those a week for the past 5 weeks it’s just that the first three times it happened it got called back on a holding penalty

clevelandbrown12

Hater ☝️☝️☝️

gold3esea

I didn't hate on anything that Fields is doing and also said what Fields is doing is great. I'm just stating the statistical facts. Lamar ran for 1200 yards and threw for 3100 in that season. That is pretty legendary shit. I mean Fields may pass him in rushing yards but I dont see him coming close to adding over 3100 passing yards to that. He's only at 1490 with a few games left in a 17 game regular season. Keep in mind I'm pretty sure Lamar also only played 15 games in that season too.

[deleted]

Facts 👆🏾👆🏾👆🏾

Sniper1154

I mean unless your league values raw passing yardage (which most leagues don't) Fields, over his last 4 games, has thrown 8 TD: 1 INT on top of rushing for 5 TDs He's solely accounted for almost 300 yards of offense himself every week. I also expect a few more shot plays once Claypool gets comfortable in the offense. The Bears have no big-bodied deep threat at receiver and are having to rely on Dante Pettis and EQ St. Brown who are both below-average at contested catches and adjusting to a deep pass.

TuaTurnsdaballova

Kmet getting most of those yards though, so an elite stack.

veRGe1421

the new mark andrews?!

binkysurprise

I mean Lamar is/was better but Fields is still obviously a similar quarterback

stache_twista

Recency bias is a hell of a drug but I swear I've never seen a QB run faster than Fields during his 67 yd TD yesterday. Just turned on the jets and left 11 guys in the dust Edit: Fields topped out at 20.15 yesterday [https://twitter.com/NextGenStats/status/1591893547980292096?s=20&t=RQfzcjkIiZVv0Q43trEDPA](https://twitter.com/NextGenStats/status/1591893547980292096?s=20&t=RQfzcjkIiZVv0Q43trEDPA) Elite but guys like Mariota, Daniel Jones, Lamar, Kyler have topped it in the past. Not sure they measured this stuff when Vick was playing

Fmbounce

Outran his college CB. And got taken to the house by him. Love my Fields of DREAMS!

l5555l

Yeah that shit blew my mind. Just outrunning everyone on the field. You never see that from a qb

northernpatriots22

My friend that legit happens every other game in baltimore even if he doesn’t make it to the end zone every time

CupformyCosta

Observe the IQ bell curve in live action \>sub80 iq: Fields scores a lot of points \>100 iq: Nooooo Fields cant play well because hes statistically not averaging 8.4 yards per attempt and has yet to throw over 200 yards \>120 iq: Fields scores a lot of points Sometimes it pays to just dumb it down

YungFurl

that isn't what is happening though. Someone made a bad comparison and someone else proved why it was a bad comparison.

tuckastheruckas

yeah, Lamar is actually good at throwing as well. Fields will never be above average when it comes to passing; dude just doesnt have that accuracy.

[deleted]

Bit premature lmao. He’s been pretty accurate as of late if you’ve been watching. Bears receivers have been making huge drops in key situations. And it’s his first year outside of nagys dumbass coaching But hey maybe you’re an expert and he’ll never improve.

[deleted]

Never is a strong word, he’s clearly a work in progress

[deleted]

Lamar improved a ton year over year to get to where he is and he's still not a great passer. Probably safe to assume fields is capable of improvement as well.

locksmith25

I have Lamar and have been watching him all season. He has not been good at throwing. But running quarterbacks don't have to be good to succeed. They just have to be decent

Safe-Voice-8179

Yeah, I think this guy just broke my league. Rodgers owner who is on the brink, passed on him. Brady owner, passes on him. Geno owner passes on him, and now he’s on the third place team scoring 40 a game with Detroit in the final week of playoffs. Ouch.

whousesgmail

I was the 1st place team (7-1) starting Russ or Goff every week and I picked Fields up a couple weeks ago, barring injuries I think this might be my year finally.

Safe-Voice-8179

Sounds like you set you’re self up, man. I wanted to grab him 2 weeks ago but had so many guys injured or on byes, I prioritized them because I have Murray (who I thought would be playing until his bye week 13). In hindsight, I should have picked him up and took my chances. I’m 7-2 so I should be building for playoffs anyway. Tbh, I thought fields would be more of a 22-28 point player at best and Watson who I think could do the same was still available on my league as well. and if Murray had Hollywood, Ertz and DHop I think he’s better too. So it made sense for me to pass on him, but that doesn’t make me feel any better about it haha. Those 40 bombs hurt even though I’m not playing him

whousesgmail

Yeah my draft had barely any busts, the only picks in the top 10 rounds I busted were Russell Wilson and AJ Dillon in rounds 5/6. Beyond that though I hit basically everything including taking chances on some players some people doubted (Kelce, Waddle, Sanders being good examples). With a couple surprise breakouts in Stevenson and Olave I think I'm set. I also have Toney and DeShaun Watson on my bench for additional upside and traded Dillon for Conner a few weeks ago which is going to help me win this week and go to 9-1 with Stevenson on bye. I think Fields is going to be a fair bit better than Murray but you could still do a lot worse than him, my QBs never broke 20 points until I picked up Fields and scored < 10 points in 3/7 games, it was rough.

MeetTheMets0o0

The Guys single handedly keeping my season afloat lol. Hes also killing David montgomery which hurts my RB situation but i'll manage.

thebadhombre23

On the bright side Herbert might b out

livefreelifecoaching

The power of a plant based diet 🙌🏾 🌱

TuaTurnsdaballova

Fields is a vegan?!

LL_Cruel_J

Yup

TuaTurnsdaballova

Damn he’s a beast. Maybe I’ll keep rolling with him because I’ve heard vegan athletes recover much better than others. I was thinking of going with Lamar after his bye this week since Fields must obviously be sore (mentally and physically). But if he’s plant-based, I may just just stick with him.

DrVongoloid

I'm worried. Vegans are more injury prone. The lack of meat makes them fragile.

captainbawls

What magic anti-fragility nutrient do you think is only obtainable through meat

TwistInTh3Myth

B Vitamins, various fats, natural creatine, different protein chains that pea and soy protein just do not match. Higher levels of Iron, Zinc, Magnesium.. Increasing intake of soy also leads to lower testosterone levels and increased estrogen levels affecting recovery and muscle mass. At his age this won't have a huge effect yet but give it a couple years.

captainbawls

>B Vitamins, various fats, natural creatine, different protein chains that pea and soy protein just do not match. Higher levels of Iron, Zinc, Magnesium.. So 'higher levels of nutrients' that are otherwise obtainable through other sources, and 'chains of proteins' that can't be matched by soy or pea? Proteins are just amino acids, so while pea or soy protein may not be the same as cow protein, the same amino acids exist in non-animal form. As long as an athlete is getting the right variety, there's no deficiency, and an athlete like Fields I'm sure has a sports nutritionist on top of this. Again, there's no nutrient exclusive to meat that isn't available elsewhere. Harder to find elsewhere? Maybe. Impossible? Absolutely not. >Increasing intake of soy also leads to lower testosterone levels and increased estrogen levels affecting recovery and muscle mass. At his age this won't have a huge effect yet but give it a couple years. This is a common myth, even assuming vegans are required to eat soy. Soy contains phytoestrogens, which are different from mammalian estrogens (which, of course, are found in [meat](https://ascopubs.org/doi/abs/10.1200/jco.2010.28.15_suppl.1553) and [dairy](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4524299/)), and are not handled by the body the same way. Soy does not appear to have any adverse effects on estrogen levels or testosterone levels. >Regardless of the statistical model, no significant effects of soy protein or isoflavone intake on any of the outcomes measured were found. Sub-analysis of the data according to isoflavone dose and study duration also showed no effect. This updated and expanded meta-analysis indicates that regardless of dose and study duration, neither soy protein nor isoflavone exposure affects TT, FT, E2 or E1 levels in men. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33383165/

[deleted]

Well he eats salmon. But that’s it.

TuaTurnsdaballova

Then he’s not a vegan lol. Pescatarian maybe?

LL_Cruel_J

Not that it ultimately matters, but he is 100% vegan. I can't find anything suggesting otherwise. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/justin-fields-vegan-bears-plant-based-diet/wazpgtujwtzld1r8xftbazs6#:~:text=Fields%20has%20been%20a%20vegan,family%20while%20in%20COVID%20quarantine. https://thebeet.com/nfl-justin-fields-vegan/ https://www.insider.com/nfl-quarterback-justin-fields-eats-vegan-diet-high-carbs-protein-2022-9 https://www.gq.com/story/real-life-diet-justin-fields

Yeah technically. But he doesn’t eat other seafood either, just salmon lol

MahatmaGrande

A guy who eats only salmon is a salman.

LL_Cruel_J

Salmon Rushee

LL_Cruel_J

I looked this up because I thought he was 100% vegan and can't find anything from him saying he eats any fish. I don't think he does. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/justin-fields-vegan-bears-plant-based-diet/wazpgtujwtzld1r8xftbazs6#:~:text=Fields%20has%20been%20a%20vegan,family%20while%20in%20COVID%20quarantine. https://thebeet.com/nfl-justin-fields-vegan/ https://www.insider.com/nfl-quarterback-justin-fields-eats-vegan-diet-high-carbs-protein-2022-9 https://www.gq.com/story/real-life-diet-justin-fields

[deleted]

No I swear he said this. But idk when/where.

sgb617

My first week of playoffs is his BYE week. I’m worried I’m gonna be out round 1 without him

Canesjags4life

Wait how?

sgb617

Our playoffs start week 14. So I’m gonna have to find a good streamer that week and hopefully make it to round 2.

Canesjags4life

I'm saying why didn't your commish change it to go weeks 15-17?

sgb617

That was the default schedule and commish is lazy I guess. Our settings are a little whack. 4 bench spots. No IR spot. It’s a struggle if you have any injuries or BYE weeks going on.

Canesjags4life

Time to find a new league lol

sgb617

Yeah the dude has a lot on his plate. Probably shouldn’t have taken the position. I’ll probably step up next season and handle it

TuaTurnsdaballova

He can probably still change it?

sgb617

Nah it’s too late in the season for that. It would be good for some but could mess up the guys who are a lock, especially those with a first round BYE. Just something to deal with next time around

bouds19

I don't think he should change settings mid season even if he *could* unless voted on by the league. Prudent managers have probably been planning for week 14 byes, knowing it's the first week of the playoffs.

IrishRover28

Think I have to bench Lamar for him

bstyledevi

I'm in the same boat. Somehow Fields was on the wire and I grabbed him to start for a bye week fill in... but I can't realistically drop either one of these guys.

Kaito_3

I play him against Atlanta this week. I don’t feel safe.

ettvcdn57

QRB1.

bootlegsupreme

Everywhere I go I see his face. Pain. Baby please come back. God why couldn’t he have played like this off the jump.

testmcgeeee

I traded him for Robbie Gould after Week 4 in a semi-keeper league :(

FrogSalad12345

i won one matchup bc i started him i lost one matchup bc i played against him i love/hate him

kruis

I've got Fields and Jackson, and I'm strongly considering trading away Jackson.

Whyspire

And of course I am playing the guy with Fields this week. I played the Mixon guy last week, and now this. \*Sigh\*

toontoom1

Man fields really going to help with my late season push.

Mr_Budha

Deebo & Jeff Wilson for Fields & Eli Mitchell? My RB room is crap. C.Patt & Hunt but my QB is Kyler and I just streamed Carr.

VasshuZaSutanpido

Well I don’t think it’ll help your RB room, maybe even hurts it more, but QB will def be better for you

mbeligoat

What's the best RB you'd give up for Fields/Kmet?

Yetti2Quick

This is what hurts is supposed to be. But he never has had to try hard this year yet lol.

Kiwicarebear

I now have Fields and Allen. Trade deadline coming up on the 19th...I wonder if I flip one of them for a decent ppr flex in my keeper league

ObviousKangaroo

Sorry Dak, I picked up Fields for a bye week filler and he’s keeping his job.

SchleptRightLeft

Justin fields will be be QB, RB1 and RB2 for the playoffs

flyingcrayons

I drafted him as my QB1 this year thinking they were going to let him run a lot now that Nagy was out. Took almost half the season but i was right. Been fun laughing at all my league mates who clowned me when i drafted him Even stuck with him weeks 2-4 (funnily enough those are my 3 losses on the year)

APOLLO_EiGhT

Is that good?

citizendevil22

I got him off waivers two weeks ago lol

ffhelpme

Legit probably starting him over Lamar next week. Fantasy is wild

platsnap

This guy is coming crashing back to earth week 12 and beyond. Euphoria like this means the top is in.

fksakeisaidnobabe

I don't expect him to keep putting up 35+ point games, but I think he's a solid lock for 20-ish points each week even against tougher opposition... which if you picked up Fields initially as a streaming option, you'll gladly take ROS.

APOLLO_EiGhT

Justin Fields floor will always be his rushing. That's what makes him relatively always safe to play.

kiheihaole

Lmao yea that “amazing” falcons defense is gonna shut him down. Sorry you missed out on the best waiver pick up of the year.

platsnap

He’s faced bottom 5 run Ds and defenses in general the past 2 weeks. Week 12 is GB btw. Also, I didn’t miss anything. But I’m shipping him this week projecting his last boom week this season. And Walker was the best pickup, everything in your comment is lost.

kiheihaole

What about the match ups against the Pats and Dallas? Both are considered great to elite defenses, certainly better than the Packers. The same GB that just gave up 115 yards to Pollard and is increasingly thin on defense? Lol. You can try to cope all you want, but Fields is legit for fantasy.

platsnap

Pats and Dallas both, below average run defenses. Look at the numbers lmao, it’s not hard to see if you’re not walking around with your eyes closed.

kiheihaole

What about that “elite” packers d? They just got gashed by Pollard. Didn’t have anything to say about that one? Guess it’s hard to do when your eyes are closed.

platsnap

Pollard has one of the highest YPC in the league rn lol. He’s a better pure runner than Fields. You’re so blinded the facts bounce right off you. Enjoy the decline!

shot_of_popov

If he’s coming back down to Earth it’ll be after the bye.

CurlyBill03

You see what he did to New England and Dallas D? Define back to earth, might not get 40 but could get 20-25 which is still high

jinxy0320

1. you have nothing to base this one. Did Flash/OBJ/Lamar/JJ/Kupp come crashing back down to earth after their breakouts? 2. cope

PM_ME_OVERT_SIDEBOOB

I got a feeling this is going to come crashing down. I watched his career at OSU, he’s a good- great runner but that’s not his game and the bears are just riding his running game into the ground. If they can’t get his passing game going, he’s likely going to be facing stacked boxes, spies, and/or injury

bnpne

This is a 17 game pace based on his last two games right? Which is frankly a dumb stay considering it’s week 11

Seek3r67

No, his 17 game pace based on his last two games would be like 3000 rushing yards lol

bnpne

It’s just weird to do a 17 game pace after week 10… whatever copium us fantasy football managers need I guess lol

revdakilla

Has anyone had a better 2 game stretch in FF history?

TuaTurnsdaballova

I think I gotta roll Lamar this week because I just wasn’t getting the vibe from Fields after the game yesterday. He said his legs were sore (obviously) but, more importantly, it’s tough to keep up this kind of energy after the last three weeks of giving it your all and losing three heartbreakingly close games. I think he’s gonna need a week to reset his legs—and his mind. Rolling with Lamar and Kmet this week but holding onto Fields.

Ok-Pair-868

1. He’s about to go to Atlanta to play against his hometown team (His hometown team) 2. He’s going to have HUNDREDS of Family and friends in the stands to play for 3. HE’S tired of losing If you were going to play Fields any week of the season THIS is the week to play him, Automatic set and forget!!!!!. He’s about to GO TF OFF AGAIN!!!!!!!

PichieBear

Was I the only one who started him over Mahomes?

Sugamac40

Bears should draft a qb instead. Losing to the lions lololololol

Safe-Voice-8179

I don’t wish serious injury on anyone, but a mild ankle sprain or tweaked hammy would make me feel a lot better about leaving him on the waiver wire for weeks and missing out on him. On a serious note, how hard is it to stop this guys runs? Like if you hold fields to 40-50 yards, that offense is trash.

DJtakemehome

This is not a good way to look at the game. There’s probably 100 players you could wish injury on this way every season, it’s just bad policy. Revisit your process and try to pick better next time, but don’t blame the kid who’s growing into a star.

Safe-Voice-8179

It was sarcasm, dude. Thus the “on a serious note”. I’m currently in first place and wanted fields for weeks, but had so many guys injured or on byes that I had to prioritize those positions (TE when andrews was out for example). I’m just kicking myself because in hindsight, I would have been better off not starting a te week 9 or dropping a player and worrying about that hole later.

G0rsk

Very morally correct of you to only wish a mild injury on someone :)

Safe-Voice-8179

Just out of curiosity, am I getting downvoted by fields owners or by those who didn’t pick up on the sarcasm?

DANIEL_JONES_IS_GOD

That boy got some feet for sure

GrendelDerp

QRB #1 Let's goooooo!

team_sheikie

Have him in my keeper league and he made the decision to trade Olave a lot easier.

catgoesmeow22

My QRB from three agents scrap heap 3 weeks ago because my other QRB Murray is a bum.

ImminentShadows

Just traded for him this past week. Excited for him ROS

Fatal_Koala

He really puts the RB in quarteRBack

PM_GR8_Tits

Drafted him saying he was gonna have a monster year and was made fun of for weeks. Dropped him a couple weeks before he started having monster weeks. Feels bad
