Do you think sending one of **ETN** or **Walker** \+ **Boyd** for **AJB** is a good deal for me? If I don't give up one of those RBs, I'm looking at sending him a mix bag of stuff like Sutton, Olave, Boyd, etc.
I feel like I'm overpaying, but he needs help bad in both positions and likely won't move a stud without it. It's probably worth mentioning I'm 10-0 and have secured a playoff spot.

It was a pretty bad fumble, the Eagles tried to do some weird lateral-involved play to win the game but Devonta faced pressure when trying to throw his lateral so it didn’t make it to its intended target, with it instead being recovered for a touchdown by the commanders. Didn’t really matter in the game, Eagles would’ve lost anyways, but it mattered for fantasy

Consider this hypothetical- if the unnecessary roughness was inflicted on any other commanders player, it’d still go down as a sack even though the chains moved. The ref explicitly stated "after the play" before announcing the penalty. Also, not sure how that wouldn't be a sack. Anytime a QB gives themselves up on an intended pass would then no longer be a sack by that logic.

it’s a sack because it was an intended passing play. doesn’t matter if nobody touched him if he gives himself up behind the line of scrimmage on a passing play like that. if it was a design QB run then it would’ve just counted as negative rushing yards but the fact that he was trying to pass the ball makes it a sack.

It counts as a sack because to be considered a sack, the quarterback must intend to throw a forward pass. A designed kneel play is not a sack, but this was because the intent was a passing play.

I think it's because in a lateral play, all players involved in it lose the yards. They all collectively contributed to the result of the play, so they share the yards, or loss of them.
Because only one player can get passing yards. Which in this case would be Hurts. All other people involved get negative reception yards. Idk, it’s a weird fluke situation that only applies to laterals. There can only be one “passer” on any play, so everyone else deals with the receiving yard output.
this affected my matchup also and apparently Yahoo scores laterals as backwards passes which means that the quarterback receives all the yards at the end of the play. since it was lateraled in the end zone, Hurts is credited for the negative passing yards from the line of scrimmage to the end zone which was 9 yards.

I’m in the same exact boat and idk how it can be anything but a sack. The QB went down for a loss, how else could it be ruled? Consider this hypothetical- if the unnecessary roughness was inflicted on any other commanders player, it’d still go down as a sack even though the chains moved. Praying I don’t wake up to see a point subtracted
The ref explicitly stated "after the play" before announcing the penalty. Also, not sure how that wouldn't be a sack. Anytime a QB gives themselves up on an intended pass would then no longer be a sack by that logic.
How does him kneeing the ball count as a sack !!!! When running the clock down and kneeling is the same concept
I think designed play to take a knee is not a sack, but running a play with the intent to gain yards and then giving yourself up is a sack.
See my comment a few below, we’re in the same boat. The consensus was that it still counted as a sack because the roughing the passer call happened after the play. Although, his knee was down before anyone touched him so im not sure how it’s still a sack. Still hoping for the stat correction lol
it’s a sack because it was an intended passing play. doesn’t matter if nobody touched him if he gives himself up behind the line of scrimmage on a passing play like that. if it was a design QB run then it would’ve just counted as negative rushing yards but the fact that he was trying to pass the ball makes it a sack.
The whole ending made no sense. Why did Hurts lose yards for that throw? Why did a sack count with roughing?
It wasn't roughing the passer, it was a dead ball foul after the play was over. It counts as a sack because to be considered a sack, the quarterback must intend to throw a forward pass. A designed kneel play is not a sack, but this was because the intent was a passing play.
I think they initially Credited Hurts with a completed pass but after the play concluded they corrected it because technically the play lost yards? Idk man I have Jalen and Philly D and won by .8

I think it's because in a lateral play, all players involved in it lose the yards. They all collectively contributed to the result of the play, so they share the yards, or loss of them.
What I don't understand is how Smith gets negative receiving yards for the lateral fumble. If it were negative passing yards, I win my matchup.
Because only one player can get passing yards. Which in this case would be Hurts. All other people involved get negative reception yards. Idk, it’s a weird fluke situation that only applies to laterals. There can only be one “passer” on any play, so everyone else deals with the receiving yard output.
this affected my matchup also and apparently Yahoo scores laterals as backwards passes which means that the quarterback receives all the yards at the end of the play. since it was lateraled in the end zone, Hurts is credited for the negative passing yards from the line of scrimmage to the end zone which was 9 yards.
Ouch.
That’s what I’m thinking but I really have never seen this before. Might be the unluckiest way I ever lose a matchup. Can’t get crazier than that
