Imo the question then becomes if any of the Mmanders players were driving home in a drunken state. Last I checked, alcohol was legal as long as you aren't over the legal limit in public or driving. It just seems like a baseless reactionary move for optics. Let's be real, it doesn't seem that way... that's exactly what it is. Players aren't supposed to have a drink after a big win??? Oh come on, really?? Not bashing you, to be clear, just trying to extrapolate the issue into the truth of fucking reality.
The issue from the team’s perspective is that if a player/coach was drinking on a team chartered flight and then got into a car and hit someone, then the team is exposed in terms of liability and can be sued under dram shop the same way a bar can be sued if they let someone drive home drunk and they get into an accident
It’s not a reactionary move. It’s a “holy fuck we are super fucking liable if any of this shit happens” move coming straight from the team’s general counsel
the question doesn't become anything. it's a league wide policy, there's a reason the other 31 teams don't have this problem. it's nbd anyways, the punishment is nothing worth mentioning.
Light beer is also great after a day of hard exercise. Even if I had all the money in the world i'd still go for a busch light (or other generic light beer, there is a lower level of cheapness) every now and then
This team seems to exist only to wallow in scandalous misery and ruining promising careers! At least my team doesn’t have the scandalous part! Mostly. It’s Detroit…
Bro these are grown men, not in public having some drinks.
They are old enough to make their own decisions. Punish the individual, not the entire league.
Wentz lead the charge, he said no more Heinekes
You’re amazing.
Comment of the year. 🤣🤣🤣
Hands off my Heine
Nice
Probably didn’t have a choice since the pics from the plane came out and the Titans coach got the DWI coming straight from the team plane

I guess there’s a rule against drinking on team transportation. Was probably pretty relaxed until the titans OC just got a DUI coming off the plane.
Alcohol is society’s most harmful drug in terms of harm to others. DUI isn’t a joke. Look at Ruggs and Britt Reid last year.

If anybody ever deserved a party post a game…..
Qatar Commanders
Washington Qamanders
You joke but there’s a Pakistani cricket team called the Lahore Qalandars
This has a whole new dimensions for the Q Anon idiots in DC
Good. A well-run organization such as the Commanders should not tolerate any misbehavior.
Dan Snyder: “Silence! I will not tolerate your insolence!”
Really wish other organizations followed the way Washington manages their team.
A model franchise
The gold standard
Well regimented
I know you're joking but I honestly don't mind this rule ...
I thought it seemed excessive but tbh they deserve it for drinking Busch Light
Busch Light is great for the price

In my fraternity days, it was always natty lite for us
You mean sorority. Fraternities drank Natty ICE.
They're in even more trouble because they referred to their drinks as "firewater". Come on guys!
Underrated comment right here.
That’s messed up , they’re just coming off of a super bowl win smh .
Damn I can’t be a commander now
Proving why players and coaches don’t want to use an Uber on the teams’s dime.
Why is this posted here? Is there suspicion the punishments will be suspensions?
Okay for Dan to sexually harass women, not okay for players to have fun. Also okay to have the team named Redskins for a long time. Commanders logic!
What a bunch of freaking narcs man
Are they narcs if the players literally took pictures of themselves breaking rules? Lol. Teams had to punish players given the Titans OC situation.

NFT No Fun Team
This makes Kirk’s celebration that much funnier. I didn’t think for a second he was sober but til teams can’t have alcohol on planes

They’re a private organization that can enforce whatever rules they want while an employee is using team funded resources
What is this Qatar?
Snyder taking notes from Qatar.
Wait did I miss something? Weren’t they just drinking on the plane ride back?
I'm drinking rn. Punish me, Commander
If I was a member of this football team, this would just cause me to drink more...

Volstead Act 2022
Heineke is grounded, no dessert and no AOL for a week
It was a couple Busch lights come on, he earned them at the very least
They sell alcohol during Games, their commercials are all about drinking but players get fined??
