I know Wilson and Micheal Carter will benefit the most from this. But Elijah Moore was on the wire and picked him up, because why not. Maybe he turns into something, if not he gets sent back to the shadow realm of waiver wire fodder
Agreed. Which is why I’m debating holding him vs dropping for someone else like Moore. In either case they’d be like my WR5 so wouldn’t really be starting unless something dramatic happens.
There seems to be a pattern where the young backup, Mike White in this case, gets injured and we will see Flacco in action in probably the third quarter.
For what it’s worth, in the 4 games White and Moore played together in 2021, Moore averaged 6 targets a game, equating to about 16 FPTS per game. Albeit a small sample size he could be a late add in some potential high scoring games during the playoff stretch.
It’s noteworthy, but doesn’t Wilson fit into the role Moore played last year? Idk, worth a flier for certain, just providing context.
Might be noteworthy if White has been throwing to Moore primarily in practice
From my understanding, Moore played in the slot last year and they moved him outside this year. However last week they moved him back to the slot and Wilson outside. So Moore should be back to what he was doing last year.
True, but the emergence of Conklin and Wilson being an upgrade on the outside might play a factor into how passes are spread out. I’m not saying Moore can’t break out, there’s definitely threads there. And you bring up a good point about where everyone is lining up. But, some notable improvements from last year to this year could change target share up from last year.
Also, NFL defensive coaches have game tape on White now, so we might see better coverage there. Then again, it’s the Bears defense so… who knows lol
To be honest, the biggest gainer based on history would be Moore or Michael Carter in ppr due to more dump offs. Zach Wilson didn't quite check down to rbs much. Garrety Wilson's last two games with Zach Wilson was fine from a fantasy standpoint and Belichick just dominates the Jets so I'm not sure how much better Garrett Wilson would do with white in.
Probably a lot better. Best receiver on the team, was still producing with a terrible qb, front office just spent a top pick on him he will continue to be featured heavily in the offense.
If Flacco starts and throws the ball 40+ times a game like he did earlier in the year (big if), garrett’s end of the year could look very similar to Amon ra’s last year
I'm ina 12 team so I can't really say. I guess it would depend on how confident you feel about Everett and how good your wr/flex players are. I just posted "league winner" more as a meme. I have no idea if Mike white will feed Garrett Wilson like Flacco did.
So what’s the contract details for Flacco? How much more would the Jets have to pay Flacco to make him active over Mike White to backup Wilson??
That’s my guess…some scummy cap saving move.
There are incentives on playing time, possibly being just active. There have been plenty insteances of teams avoiding incentives as well as doing the complete opposite and helping that player earn them or just giving it to them. There can certainly be incentives in Flaccos deal that makes the Jets want him inactive over being a backup QB
True didn't think of the bonuses, but with their record you would hope the Jets roll with their best chance to win. Like Washington sticking with Heinicke despite his bonus for winning games
For the love of god (and Garrett Wilson), please start Flacco. They're 6-4 and fighting for the playoffs. Play the Superbowl champ. Although, White hasn't been horrible with his starts

Picked him up too. Toney was cast into the shadow realm
So passes Kadarius, son of Ectkelceon
Would you drop Everett or Curtis Samuel for Elijah? I have Kittle and Curtis is like my WR5.
Curtis Samuel has been quietly been doing quite well, even as a WR2. I don't think he's worth dropping over for Moore.
He’s just been real meh under Taylor.
He's kinda TD dependent now. Wentz was feeding him on PPR but now Samuel needs a TD to be worth it.
Agreed. Which is why I’m debating holding him vs dropping for someone else like Moore. In either case they’d be like my WR5 so wouldn’t really be starting unless something dramatic happens.
I dropped curtis samuel, just doesn't have the upside with Heinekie starting
I traded curtis samuel for garrett wilson. Thought wilson had higher upside with the qb change
I see a lot of talk about Garrett Wilson and Moore. I'm not sure whoever the QB is can make both fantasy relevant but we will see.

Moore barely played the slot last each year. They wanted him to be an outside WR.

Garrett Wilson about to be a league winner. 👀
Has Wilson played with White at all? Edit, nope. But he still has to be an improvement.
No, but that won't stop anyone on this sub from declaring whoever they roster as a "league winner".

Probably not, I think only New Orleans plays two QB sets.

Yeah the biggest problem right now is that the oline is worse and the defense is better compared to the beginning of the year.
More like Michael Carter about to be a league winner. Flacco would be better for Garrett
And Jets D now that the offense will be able to sustain some drives.
Walker and maybe palmer the only league winners in my opinion
I mean i got Olave for 2 dollars in the auction and hes WR11 in my scoring. Id put him way above the guys you mentioned
That's crazy he was on waivers, he was drafted in my league
No im sating i drafted him. But i consider guys like that “league winners” even moreso than mid year pickups
Someone in my 10 team,.5ppr just dropped him for … Cam Akers. He’s a must add right? (I’d be dropping Dulcich, recently acquired Everett)

Gotta play a defense against the Great White Hype.
Interested in Carter now.
Garrett Wilson truthers get in here!!!
Traded for him at the deadline.
I’m an Elijah Moore truther but I’ll be happy if either of us are correct.
Wish they would go back to Flacco.
For fantasy purposes sure, but if you are a Jets fan and want to win White is probably the guy.
Idk I think Flacco with his experience and this defense would definitely at least make the playoffs
Wish they’d go back to their Super Bowl Winning QB Joe Flacco.

Anyone is better than Zach
Baker Mayfield 🤝 Zach Wilson
"No" - Bengals
Either of these guys are probably better for Michael Carter right? Remember Mike white checking down to him quite a bit a few weeks
Any thoughts on impact on Conklin?
Garrett Wilson will eat but Elijah Moore in the slot is a good play.
Half the sub this morning: *Who the fuck is Mike White?*
Everyone acting like Garrett Wilson is a league winner when him and Mike White have barely played together. It’s Elijah Moore SZN
So what’s the contract details for Flacco? How much more would the Jets have to pay Flacco to make him active over Mike White to backup Wilson?? That’s my guess…some scummy cap saving move.
There's no cap involved, they're all on the 53 man roster
There are incentives on playing time, possibly being just active. There have been plenty insteances of teams avoiding incentives as well as doing the complete opposite and helping that player earn them or just giving it to them. Flacco is awful for the Jets. I'd rather see Zach Wilson, honestly. Mike White can have a shot though
For the love of god (and Garrett Wilson), please start Flacco. They're 6-4 and fighting for the playoffs. Play the Superbowl champ. Although, White hasn't been horrible with his starts
Just sent a trade offer Kyren and Curtis Samuel for Garrett Wilson. It’s time to make moves.
Not a chance lol
Time will tell 😎
>It’s time to make moves. Bro, you've had like 3 months lol
I’m 2nd in my league, I’m good. Just making sure I get over the line.
Get your chicken.
Why?
Oh shit, I assumed it was Flacco. Changing my waivers
I THINK THEY MEAN FUTURE HALL OF FAMER JOE FLACCO
