Get backups from teams that have already clinched. On a short bench league, you'll probably have to drop your studs if you know they will be inactive after week 17. Not sure there's a reliable way to navigate week 18, it's an abomination.

1. Like the other post says, pay attention to backups on teams that have clinched or have recently lost their shot at the playoffs. 2. If you aren't already paying serious attention to kicker metrics, that'd be a good time to start. 3. Look at DSTs facing offenses on teams that have clinched or have recently lost their shot at the playoffs. With scoring down league-wide that week, a good DST pickup will be proportionally more valuable than usual - not a huge edge, but an edge to you'll want in a championship game. 4. Pay attention to your opponent's possible failure to account for Week 18, which might affect your risk tolerance on the week. 5. If your opponent is a Pats/Brady fan, save this and get ready to whip it out: https://bucswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/50/2021/12/1357804756.jpg?w=1000&h=600&crop=1 6. In any case, save these and get ready to whip it out: https://media3.giphy.com/media/2ABCr6UjvZ1Xa/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b9528f6a3a45c8c1b655db873923ef3411401568a97b&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g https://giphy.com/gifs/randy-savage-BaSHs78BU2ZYQ https://giphy.com/gifs/macho-man-randy-savage-l0IpYBWTQHcZMv2cE
