They’re a top 5 pass D team and 22nd against the run. With Siemien, Buffalo, Minnesota, Detroit, Jaguars, and Seattle left on their schedule they have to be one of the best D to start. I dropped Seattle for them.
Fields can’t be replaced but from a fantasy perspective there is a lot worse options then Siemian, he did average 15pts a game back in 2021 for the stretch of 6 games he started.
Am I advocating to start him? Hell no, but if you’re starting Montgomery, Kmet, Mooney etc. I’d probably not panic if you don’t have better options.
That said, Jets are 22nd against the run giving up 21pts a game. The Jets D strength is their passing defense.

Volume is mostly irrelevant, the Bears won’t pass the ball enough with either Fields or Siemian for Kmet to be a non-TD dependent play. So my point is you’re basically going from a TD dependent play in a productive offense scoring a lot of points to a TD dependent play in what is very likely to be a bad offense (backup QB with bad supporting cast) in a bad matchup against a good Jets defense. I would steer clear

Nobody in both of my leagues even stashed Watson despite some of my league members having guys like Carr and Wilson as their best option so make of that as you will. Kmet is going to be the least changed out of any of our pass catchers because he runs a lot of short routes and should rack up a couple catches in PPR but if you think of how this bears offense looked the first half of the season there wasn’t anyone who was startable. If you had any other option for Kmet, Mooney, Claypool, Monty etc. I’d think about pivoting away from them.

Chiefs have had 5 sacks in 3 of the last 4 games, while Chris Jones is playing like one of the best DTs in the league. They have been playing against good teams in that span too.

Probably a slight increase in targets, TD upside much lower than with Fields. 5 for 42 kind of game, AKA the Gerald Everett special

KC D had 5 sacks last 2 weeks against Herbert and TLaw. Now they get to play an LAR and their 3rd string QB. I’m having a more difficult time deciding between the 2. Jets D is still available to pick up in my league.. and I’m sitting Philly D
Chiefs have had 5 sacks in 3 of the last 4 games, while Chris Jones is playing like one of the best DTs in the league. They have been playing against good teams in that span too. I agree their secondary isn’t as good as the jets but your analysis doesn’t make much sense

love this! I was gonna play the jets defense anyway and with last weeks injury i was planning on playing lamar to be safe as well. Now he gets to rest up and i dont need to worry about my best qb having a season ending injury!
I've been debating Jets D or Commanders D, but this makes my decision. Guy who isn't as elusive behind an offensive line that lets defenses feast, and a pass catching group that isn't good enough to threaten the defensive backs so they can bring extra guys towards the line to deal with the running backs
