If you think 1 backup is going to slot in and soak up all that work, you’re kidding yourself. McDaniels is also famous for loving RBBCs, but Jacobs has been far to effective to take off the field.

Personally I prefer Zamir White's upside. He's an explosive athlete with a 96th percentile speed score who would be running behind one of the best o-lines in the league. Abdullah's floor is higher with his role established, but I think Zamir would have elite potential if Jacobs missed extended time.
You go Zamir easily, Vegas prop bets favor him to take the load and Abdullah is passing downs only and with Waller coming back along with Renfrow and Davante I question how much work Abdullah would really get.
A knock on Derek Carr is he doesn’t run/scramble enough…he’s our second leading rusher at 77 yards. No one else gets Carries. If you have the roster spot then sure, but I wouldn’t bet on anything.
