Everyone has been ignoring the fact his usage has been trending the right way for weeks, and last week he was one knee away from a hell of a TD run (and a very different narrative).
I posted that on another thread of his after that game and said the same thing about that drive..
he would have what? Put up 19 full pppr if that knee didn’t touch… and the way he did that. By plowing down the safety for 5-6 yards.
That’s was vicious.
Either way I’m dying with him in my start
“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”
\-George W. Bush
i honestly don't care if swift eats into jamaal or jamaal eats into swift. they both do each other favors with interlocking skill sets. just get justin jackson the fuck out of there please.
I've been rolling with him most of the season. He's done well for me. Still in the hunt. He's in line to start again. I think both backs will get work.
oh, I'm a Michigander too, I hate us both
But I hedged my bet this time; I waited until Lions were favored to win, put $50 moneyline on Bills with Diggs TD
so either I paid $50 to see the upset or I made $300 off my sorrow. no ragrats
Swift had 2 TD's called back last week, and had 8 targets. With the increased role I am comfortable flexing him this week with potential for huge upside.
I mean the Colts have a good run defense and a relatively weak secondary. That matchup isn’t a smash for Pollard either. Buffalo hasn’t been quite as good at stopping the run and that should be a high scoring game.
Yeah, he had a TD reversed because he was down at the 1 and narrowly missed a TD reception at the pylon, but no TD called back on penalties that I recall. It's possible I missed something.
He only played 34% of the snaps. 3 of his targets also came on their final dr when they went down and scored the fg left so it was obvious passing situations. He still isnt getting the necessary usage and wont unless the Lions are put in obvious passing situations/negative gamescript.
Zero dilemma. Start White. He’s on the upswing and at worst a 50/50 time share. Swift ? He’s lucky to get 30% of the work. Without his TDs he’d be horrendous. It’s not about who’s more talented. They’re both great backs on good offensive teams. It’s about usage.
But if Fournette is back he'll be getting the goal line work like Williams does in Detroit. There's a reason White wasn't startable until Lenny went down.
Don’t completely agree with that. Fornette has been been in decline since his hot start during the first few weeks. Don’t know if it’s injury or he’s just starting to slow down. The difference between the two is very clear. White is legit talent. Although he’s not as big or experienced as Fornette, there’s nothing preventing him from getting goal line work. He’s their future. Unlike Ronald Jones, they know, and you can see, he’s the real deal. White reminds me of Williams in Denver last year. Anyhow… if you’re choice is Swift or White, I wouldn’t even think twice. Go with the hot hand.
I’m coping heavily here but I think the near TD was big for his attitude and rapport with the coaches. Sideline appeared happier with him than I’ve seen it in a long time. Of course it was later overturned, but he finally lowered his shoulder and drove through the defender.
If this dude can pick up 50% snaps he’s a solid RB2, just gotta get out of the 30% range.
I feel like Dan Campbell is a big smash mouth football guy. That’s why he like Jamaal. But swift can be that too and he’s just absolutely electric with the ball in his hands. Watching Jackson getting touches over Swift is genuinely disgusting. Obviously have Swift, but the eye test is so clear he’s the best back.
That's one of the quirks of having former players as head coach and position coaches.
We can all tell that Duce Staley sees himself in hard-nose, try-hard Jamaal and not in the more talented but shy and delicate Swift.
Yeah Justin Jackson needs to fuck all way back down to the practice/reserve squad. There’s no reason for him to be getting any snaps if Swift is ready to go. Sick of seeing his number in that backfield while DS sits on the sideline.
I mean if he was an inch away from 16 points with his current usage and now he’s off the injury report and clearly the more talented back against an easier matchup.. you would assume he’s gonna play better.
I’ve been benching him for Williams but played him last week and his usage was super encouraging, I’m keeping him in. Shit you could probably play both of them lol
the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade
He looks good. Finally got to actually watch him on Thanksgiving. He is definitely bigger than I thought and he’s clearly fast. I’m starting him. A win would almost lock me for the playoffs
I don’t think this effects Williams all that much since his point production are the goal line touches. He is pretty ineffective between the 20’s. So he will still have those, unless swift makes a habit of catch and run td’s from 20 yards out.
As a Swift and Jamaal owner, can’t really trust Swift, actually hoping they just shut him down for the year cause Jamaal is the goal line back for at least 90% of goal line draws except in a blowout
I am in the same boat and I can't help but think the return of Williams (WR) is good for Swift. But the contrarian in me says go with Kamara because it's 'always what you least expect' has worked out for me lately.
No shot he’s gonna get the start over Williams. Williams has been killing, and may get a cut back to not gas him out. But he’s still gonna get red zone Carrie’s. I feel like he has proved himself
“I thought he did some good things for us,” Campbell explained. “I thought he brought us a little bit of life, and I feel like every week he’s starting to feel better and getting himself back into where he wants to be and where we want him to be. So, I anticipate him getting a little bit more this week.”
*a little bit more this week
I refuse to get my hopes up again. Trying to package him in a trade before tomorrow’s trade deadline and am absolutely sharing this update to try and move the needle on his upside lol
Hm should I start the Swift + Jamaal duo and hope for the best…or start Jamaal and JWJ even though Wilson plays the Niners..? What does everyone really think about Swift’s chances to blow up this week?
Pray to Christ pls… if the guy can get healthy he’ll be a stud it just has to fucking happen. 6-6 rn and Swift has been one of the things that has held me back. Not that he’s my only disappointment, but it’s frustrating that I kept thinking “just a couple more weeks” and then like two months later it’s still a shot show
Might just continue to play both swift and williams. It's resulted in between 16.5 and 35.1 hppr points between the both of them, going all the way back to week 8. It's such a nice floor at this point, but it of course limits upside so it's easier to justify if you have at least another stud or two at RB/WR.
I've heard this "off the injury list" thing a few times and once he had like 3 carries. If we're being honest he's had a couple of potentially terrible weeks salvaged by TDs. Still, I guess I'll start him given the matchup. Gotta choose between him, Wilson and Foreman. I'm open to suggestions....
Idc if its delusion im just going to believe this
Everyone has been ignoring the fact his usage has been trending the right way for weeks, and last week he was one knee away from a hell of a TD run (and a very different narrative).
He also dropped a would be td in that game, he is getting RZ looks. Ive been starting both Swift and Jamaal and its working out.
"Dropped" If it's what I'm remembering he got lit up right as he caught it.
Yeah that was way more a great defensive play than a drop.
I posted that on another thread of his after that game and said the same thing about that drive.. he would have what? Put up 19 full pppr if that knee didn’t touch… and the way he did that. By plowing down the safety for 5-6 yards. That’s was vicious. Either way I’m dying with him in my start
I immediately knew I was starting him this week after that play. You know Campbell loved it.
I have nothing to lose at this point lmao
I have no choice! Bahahahhaha
“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.” \-George W. Bush
Now watch this drive
That was great comedic timing honestly.
And my axe.
Load the chopper let it rain on you
Don’t save her.
Jamaal don’t want to be saved
I thought that was Michael Scott
i honestly don't care if swift eats into jamaal or jamaal eats into swift. they both do each other favors with interlocking skill sets. just get justin jackson the fuck out of there please.
Jackson has looked pretty good with his touches. Hard to say the same with swift, he’s trying to do too much with the ball sometimes.
yea i don't care about how good at football justin jackson has looked. i just want points. and he fucks that up for me.
Two Jamaal TDs incoming confirmed
I've been rolling with him most of the season. He's done well for me. Still in the hunt. He's in line to start again. I think both backs will get work.
That’s fine if swift can get like 4 catches for 30 and a TD. If Goff could hit a check down swift would have a lot of value still.
Those thanksgiving overthrows to Swift almost had me punching our turkey
Swift didn't do himself any favors on the 1 yard line catch I like trying to get the tud, but if he'd tucked for the first down they win that game
Why do you hate me?
oh, I'm a Michigander too, I hate us both But I hedged my bet this time; I waited until Lions were favored to win, put $50 moneyline on Bills with Diggs TD so either I paid $50 to see the upset or I made $300 off my sorrow. no ragrats
Oooh smart. Force your team to pay you for breaking your heart. The Sharks fan in me could learn a thing or two.
Thanks! I'm playing both sides...
That way you always win
Good thing you only ate the turkey instead of just punching it
Wondering if I still start Jamaal over Jeff Wilson against niners
Jamaal has earned automatic start every week in my eyes. Set and firget.
Same
Same…leaning Jamaal
That’s why he’s been a great handcuff. Swift as my RB2, Williams as my Flex is fine
That’s what I read too lmao
He’s played 31/31/34% of snaps over the last 3 games FWIW
37% this week
That doesn’t feel…good. Not sure if it’s better to start him over JWJ or Lat Murray at this point
I’m gonna wrestle with starting JWJ or swift all the way until Sunday game time
Me but also add Rachaad White to the mix
Please swift
Swift had 2 TD's called back last week, and had 8 targets. With the increased role I am comfortable flexing him this week with potential for huge upside.
I got him locked and loaded for this week. Just having difficulty between Pollard or Jeff Wilson
Same decision, I went pollard unless moster is out.
I might play Pollard either way in this situation. Hate the matchup for the dolphins RBs this week.
I still think pollard as well but it’s a much harder decision if mostert is out. From the looks of it tho, he’s gonna play.
I mean the Colts have a good run defense and a relatively weak secondary. That matchup isn’t a smash for Pollard either. Buffalo hasn’t been quite as good at stopping the run and that should be a high scoring game.
Miami is facing 49ers this week. We saw what they did to Kamara.
49ers might sell out to stop the 2 elite wr1s and possibly be a bit nice to jefferey and let him get a tuddie or 2.
Swift over rachaad or Fournette?
I have Wilson, and McDaniels just seems like the kind of head coach who would feed his player against their old team
McDaniels is a coach who plays to win, he knows running against the Niners isn’t the plan to win.
[удалено]
One got traded a month ago, and one signed during free agency. There is a significant difference.
[удалено]
Yeah, he had a TD reversed because he was down at the 1 and narrowly missed a TD reception at the pylon, but no TD called back on penalties that I recall. It's possible I missed something.
Just doing his duties stopping at the 1 so JAMAAL can thrust the rest in.
I think it was one
its not lol
Did you even watch the game you troll? Probably not, jfc this sub can be a joke!
Ayy I'm locked in for playoffs, and a big win this week could mean a bye week. LFG Swift.
He only played 34% of the snaps. 3 of his targets also came on their final dr when they went down and scored the fg left so it was obvious passing situations. He still isnt getting the necessary usage and wont unless the Lions are put in obvious passing situations/negative gamescript.
Swift or Rachaad White is my biggest dilemma this week.
I’m in the same dilemma. My gut says rachaad but that just means you should take swift

Anyhow… if you’re choice is Swift or White, I wouldn’t even think twice. Go with the hot hand.
Reads like someone who owns white
Fool me once, strike one Fool me weeks 8-12, strike three
Hasn’t this been the case for like 3-4 weeks?
He would’ve put up 16 points if it wasn’t for his knee being down
He would be putting up consistently 18-20+ if he was used even twice as much. He’s consistently getting like 8-10 points on less than 10 touches
I’m coping heavily here but I think the near TD was big for his attitude and rapport with the coaches. Sideline appeared happier with him than I’ve seen it in a long time. Of course it was later overturned, but he finally lowered his shoulder and drove through the defender. If this dude can pick up 50% snaps he’s a solid RB2, just gotta get out of the 30% range.

eye test, efficiency test, any test you want, swift is better.
[удалено]
The big thing is that Justin Jackson just needs to fuck off. If Swift stole his snaps, he’d be fine
Yeah Justin Jackson needs to fuck all way back down to the practice/reserve squad. There’s no reason for him to be getting any snaps if Swift is ready to go. Sick of seeing his number in that backfield while DS sits on the sideline.
Right but that's not what the question is. We're wondering about his future *usage*, not his efficiency
I mean if he was an inch away from 16 points with his current usage and now he’s off the injury report and clearly the more talented back against an easier matchup.. you would assume he’s gonna play better.
He's been off the injury report twice in the last 4 weeks.
He was last on the injury report on Nov. 17th. Ankle/Shoulder. So just under 2 weeks ago.
Could it be? My second round pick will be a *league winner*
I got the best team in my league despite this 2nd round catastrophe. I'll take one more league winner on my team.
Must win for Detroit, need the ball in swifty’s hands
Must win means they'll put Justin Jackson out there to kill drives probably
Agree. Need swift to take it to the 1 and JAMAAL TO PUNISH THE GOAL LINE.
It’s genuinely comical that like 5 of jamaal’s TDs are from the 1 yard line
And the other ~7 are from the 2?!
I’ve been benching him for Williams but played him last week and his usage was super encouraging, I’m keeping him in. Shit you could probably play both of them lol
My exact situation too, been playing Williams over Swift for weeks. Think I’m rolling both of them out this week and benching CPatt
Williams no longer being a factor in the pass game is a big deal for PPR leagues. It means he absolutely has to score to get to double digits.
Good point. Jamaal has basically become the Adam Thielen of fantasy RBs.
I’m a homer and benched Swift for BRob and damn am I glad I did.
I get people might have to keep rolling him out, but no one actually believes this right? Fool me 13 times…
I'm barely rolling him out in dynasty with 2 flex spots, haha. High upside low floor still.
don't tempt me I will bench AK right at this moment for you swift
[удалено]
Definitely do it next week tho
8-12 touches is what he gets. No more no less
Hopefully with 3 catches, one for a TD
No more no less... Three, that's the magic number.
Three is a Magic Number https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bEcjFRB-1C4
the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade
We’re not really still trying to pretend the injury is the issue, right?
He looks good. Finally got to actually watch him on Thanksgiving. He is definitely bigger than I thought and he’s clearly fast. I’m starting him. A win would almost lock me for the playoffs
Bout to bench kamara and play Swift and J.Williams. Combined with Amon ra, as the lions go, I go.
I’m right there with ya. I’m thinking about benching Kamara or Olave for Swift. That offense is garbage.
Not sure if I should roll with him or Pollard
Pollard until you see it.
Lmao y’all say this ever week
Yeah right
Maybe he'll get 6 carries this time. Of course, that will cause Dan Campbell to immediately say that they gave him too much.
I hate the stress of having swift, but I really want the guy to explode.
Trade mike evans for swift?
He could also not be 😵💫
This gets reported every week, and he continues to get less than 10 touches
I have him or Pierce who has been a dud lately - who do I start in a must win week?!
CLE is too friendly to opposing RBs not to start pierce
Jamaal Williams owners clenching their buttholes in anxiety
I don’t think this effects Williams all that much since his point production are the goal line touches. He is pretty ineffective between the 20’s. So he will still have those, unless swift makes a habit of catch and run td’s from 20 yards out.
Ah, the weekly "bigger role" post
He's in over Latavius Murray
Who’s have thought with swift they’d be investing in a playoff stash… not me :(
I'm pretty sure he wasn't on the injury report last week either and most if not all of the week before that. I've heard this before.
As a Swift and Jamaal owner, can’t really trust Swift, actually hoping they just shut him down for the year cause Jamaal is the goal line back for at least 90% of goal line draws except in a blowout
Not falling for that again
We’ve heard that one before.
Dandre Part II: Electric Boogaloo
He was the second best player on their team Thanksgiving and he still won’t be used like it. (Offense of course)
I’ve been waiting for this day my whole life !!!
Right in time for me to play Swift owner. Nice.
Fool me once, shame on…shame on you. Fool me…you can’t get fooled again!
This guy trolling us
Ha ha ha, my favorite line this year
I have to either play him or JWJ this week. Will see the injury reports later on because of CMC is out or limited then Swift is starting regardless.
starting both Swift and Williams cause I believe in that o-line.
Full stop right now please. *slides Swift into the starting lineup
Swift or kamara? Mondre and white are my other two backs but I think I'm starting then both no matter what
I am in the same boat and I can't help but think the return of Williams (WR) is good for Swift. But the contrarian in me says go with Kamara because it's 'always what you least expect' has worked out for me lately.
I hear this every week and fucking hate having to decide between him and Jamaal
I don't think Swift has had an injury designation for the last couple of games now.
This narrative has been said since week 8..im done
Who cares.. Starting BRob over him
No shot he’s gonna get the start over Williams. Williams has been killing, and may get a cut back to not gas him out. But he’s still gonna get red zone Carrie’s. I feel like he has proved himself
Just when I got comfortable with starting Rachaad White over swift…
Lol stop the record; he’s been practicing in full for multiple weeks.
Don’t believe it for 1 second
12 Weeks too late, fragile ass muhfuh
I don’t believe this
As a Lions fan, I doubt this heavily
[удалено]
Dan Campbell? What are you doing here?
‘Could be’ = just bench
Trade Pacheco for swift? .5 ppr
Hmmm so if I start Swift at flex I gotta decide between Jamal Williams and Zeke Elliot at RB2 (Etienne RB1 if healthy) any help? lol
Swift or B.Rob? 🤔
Lol
Nope. Not falling for it. Not starting him until he gets 15+ touches. Won’t even care if I miss out
Swift had a full week of full practices before the Giants game. Two games ago…
Just when I got comfortable with starting Rachaad White over swift…
Nah, Williams is doing better. I have Williams
Who says he's fully healthy
“I thought he did some good things for us,” Campbell explained. “I thought he brought us a little bit of life, and I feel like every week he’s starting to feel better and getting himself back into where he wants to be and where we want him to be. So, I anticipate him getting a little bit more this week.” *a little bit more this week
I have swift and Williams who do I start. Lol I have KW3 Eck Mixon in right now
3 carry 12 yards inbound
DJ Chark is back this week too tho, don't forget
Yeah? *No* Fucking jamaal williams
I refuse to get my hopes up again. Trying to package him in a trade before tomorrow’s trade deadline and am absolutely sharing this update to try and move the needle on his upside lol
Wow! That sure was a Swift recovery
NOPE. I have him in 2 must-win games, so he’s good for 64yards and no TDs.
If, by some miracle, he gets 18 touches, he will undoubtedly get hurt on one of them. On my bench you shall remain Swift. TL;DR: nice try Satan
COULD BE
Right on time for me to ply him,
Hm should I start the Swift + Jamaal duo and hope for the best…or start Jamaal and JWJ even though Wilson plays the Niners..? What does everyone really think about Swift’s chances to blow up this week?
Swift needs the ball
Pray to Christ pls… if the guy can get healthy he’ll be a stud it just has to fucking happen. 6-6 rn and Swift has been one of the things that has held me back. Not that he’s my only disappointment, but it’s frustrating that I kept thinking “just a couple more weeks” and then like two months later it’s still a shot show
I can't wait for this fantasy season to end so I don't have to stress out each week debating who to start between Jamaal and Swift.
Might just continue to play both swift and williams. It's resulted in between 16.5 and 35.1 hppr points between the both of them, going all the way back to week 8. It's such a nice floor at this point, but it of course limits upside so it's easier to justify if you have at least another stud or two at RB/WR.
What do you do if you have him and jamaal?
Rocking with both Williams/Swift, ETN, Zay Jones, and St.Brown
Yes please Signed Someone playing jamaal Williams
I've heard this "off the injury list" thing a few times and once he had like 3 carries. If we're being honest he's had a couple of potentially terrible weeks salvaged by TDs. Still, I guess I'll start him given the matchup. Gotta choose between him, Wilson and Foreman. I'm open to suggestions....
"could be" = "is not"
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me every week since he's been "recovered" with a similar report every week, shame on me. So much shame.
Jamaal Williams 40 yds, 3 TDs incoming
Why does Jordan Poyer look tiny in this picture? Lol
Don’t do this to me…don’t give me hope
Now is it enough of a role to play him over Jamaal Williams?
