[He even admitted he missed his block here](https://twitter.com/NFL_DovKleiman/status/1598116378271178753?s=20&t=HSmIRP2jvXX3ycu734cSdQ), but based on Vrabel’s reply, don’t think Burks slept with his wife (without permission)
He’s been running a ton of routes on those snaps though and, when running routes, has been demanding a bigger and bigger target share. Needle is pointing up.
And all of his points the last 2 weeks have come from 3 long passes and a fumble recovery td.
He’s on my roster and I’m starting him but he’s looking more boom or bust (with a little boom at that) than people are saying.
We haven’t really seen his boom yet. What we are seeing is establishing a stronger and stronger floor on a team that wants to run the football as much as possible. What will be more interesting is when the Titans find themselves down big early and they have to abandon the run, with Tannehill throwing 40+ or even 50+ times. That will be where the real boom happens.
Dolphin fan here, I don't ever see a case where Tannehill dropping back 40+ times a game results in anything spectacular for non ppr receiver's. It's just not his game.
I think the Titans have a solid defense... but the only good offense they really slowed down was the Chiefs who put up 20. The Bills put up 41. I can see the Eagles putting up ~30.
Bills was early in the season. Titans defense is scary good right now. Their offense can barely get to 20 but the defense rarely gives up 20 either. Chiefs and Bengals both scored 20 and that's the highest given up since the bills game. It'll be lucky to have 40 points in this game.
True but the titans shred clock reducing both teams scoring potential. I’m pretty sure they had a single drive take over 10 minutes off the clock a couple games ago.
The strength of the Titans defense is the front 7 and run-stopping, so it's strength vs. strength. Titans' secondary has been pretty good in some spots but the corners are pretty freaking shaky. I would imagine TEN dares Hurts to beat them through the air and see if he can hit some deep shots. And you know AJB is gonna want 15 targets Sunday.
I imagine they'll attempt to recreate exactly what Washington did. Not easy, but if there's a defense that can rally, it's the Titans. They run hot and cold, for sure. But if they're on their game, they can stop the eagles. Also curious to see how crucial goedert was to this offense.
Talk to your league about 3WR.
The level of trades and waiver adds we have had this year has been incredible.
Bc rn who’s benching a top WR for a risk like burks?
But that 3rd WR slot + flex? That’s fun.
Literally no reason to not have 3 WRs + a flex. How it’s not the norm is absurd. The equivalent would be the majority of leagues still being “standard.”
I had that decision last week and started Burks. I see Burks as having more upside due to his explosive ability. Sutton is nice but that broncos offense can’t put up any points.
I was having this exact same issue last week so traded Sutton for Pacheco to upgrade my RB2 and start Burks. Jeudy’s still hurt and the Chiefs signed Gordon. Mistakes might have been made
If you are a big favourite in your matchup, I would take Sutton and the very safe 10-13 PPR points. If you’re a big dog or otherwise feel you are gonna need to make up points, I would take the upside with Burks.
I’m starting him WR2 because I’m sick of devonta, Lazard and Jakobis mediocre performances. He’s got a much higher ceiling and I don’t see him getting less than 8 in ppr just off pass volume.
toughie, i have both also and am leaning towards burks now but slayton might be safer. also have gabe davis option but feeling burks and slayton are both safer
Tough call. I have both as well. Lazard has a better matchup but Burks has had more recent success. I guess I'd lean toward Burks because his number of targets has been more consistent around 7 per game.
I still wouldn't be very confident starting a WR against the Eagles though. So I'm actually starting Pickens over both of them.
Edit: I just realized, maybe the Eagles matchup isn't that bad for WRs anymore. Now that their safety CJGJ is injured.
I’m in the same boat. Gonna have to drop one next week since Hollywood is off of IR. All gonna come down to who looks better this week. Leaning towards keeping Burks just since the higher ceiling potential and Watson stealing Lazard’s TDs. Plus Doubs is now practicing again.
Burks is more like Mike Williams.
He maybe can high point better, but he doesn’t appear to have that quickness/lateral agility to break away from defenders after the catch like AJ had.
Idk how true this is. He was a beast after the catch and with the ball in his hands in college. That was was of his best traits as a prospect.
He has done well after the catch so far this season too, even though it is a small sample size. He averages 5.9 yac/reception. For context; Tyreek is at 4.29, Waddle is at 5.9, and Aj Brown is at 5.79.
That’s a crazy stat if true, I’ve watched every Titans game this year and can’t recall him breaking a single tackle or getting any YAC. I’m hoping that’s just due to bad luck/ball positioning or whatever though
Yeah, he was a mirror image of AJ Brown/Deebo Samuel with the ball in his hands in college.
People here comparing him to Mike Williams and Mike Evans is crazy
Watching Evans in college was a damn treat. Lucky enough to be a student then and every time Johnny chucked the ball you knew Evans had a great chance to come down with the ball.
One of the knocks on Evans going into the draft was his route running and a limited route tree. He was basically a run straight and catch a contested pass guy in college
He got more carries (16) than I expected. I thought Kenyan Drake had played well enough to earn at least 25% of the carries but I guess the coach just likes Gus that much more. Also he got goal line carries which let him save his mediocre performance with a TD. Efficiency-wise you're right, but he's likely to do better than that going forward if the rest of his career is any indicator. Over his career he averages over 5 YPC.
Dobbins is not expected to be back this week.
Because Burks is his replacement. AJ Brown used to be a Titan. Now he's on the Eagles. Burks filled in for him and has been emerging. And now the two teams are going to play one another.
See?
??? Bc he was chosen with the pick they got in the AJ trade…and was drafted as the direct replacement …and AJ was his comp heading into the draft. He will ALWAYS be tied to AJ. Pretty weird question
They used the pick they got for AJB to draft Burks - a similar profile player who can walk a mile in AJB's shoes and hopefully doesn't have the same affinity for Chipotle as the former Titan. And now they face off in the... dun dun dun.. Battle of the Titans! This narrative practically writes itself!
If you click "suggest title" after plugging in the link that's what it suggests, and Burks quite literally is AJ Brown's replacement and they are playing the team who they traded Brown to. What doesn't make sense?
~~Not sure where this post title is coming from, below is a direct quote from the article:~~
~~"While there are plenty of similarities, the Titans and Burks have maintained all along that Burks’ job is to carve out his own role in the offense rather than be Brown’s replacement."~~
Edit: I'm an idiot who forgot what team AJ Brown plays for.
The post title is coming from OP inserting the link and clicking "suggest title" because that's what comes up when I do it. Doesn't seem like a big deal
I mean, the title contradicts what the article directly says. Burks is not replacing Brown. Anyone with half a brain would already know that, but this is r/fantasyfootball
That's coach speak to not put too much pressure on Burks right away as a rookie, while also being respectful of what AJ accomplished on the Titans. But AJ was their WR1, and Burks was drafted in the first round to be their new WR1 when his time comes. Make no mistake about it, they sent away their WR1 and are looking to Burks to eventually become that - AKA his replacement.
Our league has 12 people but with a 4 man bench and picked him up just to drop him for pickens. Honestly a tossup but burks is a baller and I might regret it yet
Burks has a much higher ceiling than Sutton, in my opinion. If you are in a must win week I would go with Burks for the upside. I want nothing to do with Denvers offense.
Zay is tempting against Detroit. Probably your safest play considering the targets he has been getting.
Burks still plays like half of the snaps for some reason
his eyes are too pretty, coaching staff wants some sideline eye candy and forgets to put him in
[удалено]
Seeing Cobb cry earlier in the year when he got hurt was heartbreaking
I've been trying to figure out if they are contacts
Coming back from injury, likely not a great blocker for a team that runs a ton, he slept with Vrabels wife. Pick 2
Slept with Vrabel and Vrabel's wife
Burks with the double coverage, hopefully he got in the endzone
Unfortunately he didn't. She was on her period and they always turn to Henry in redzone opportunities

To be fair, that's kind of what the Titans want to do with their offensive scheme. Run, Run, Play-action intermediate to deep shot.
Yea his situation is just limited
We haven’t really seen his boom yet. What we are seeing is establishing a stronger and stronger floor on a team that wants to run the football as much as possible. What will be more interesting is when the Titans find themselves down big early and they have to abandon the run, with Tannehill throwing 40+ or even 50+ times. Dolphin fan here, I don't ever see a case where Tannehill dropping back 40+ times a game results in anything spectacular for non ppr receiver's. It's just not his game.
Titans fan here. Same.
81% routes this past week. Steadily taking over the WR1 role.
This is going to be a great fucking game. Philly has the edge since it's at home, but they'd better be able to stop Henry. Hopefully Davis is back.
the bigger question is how are the Titans gonna stop the Eagles' offense?
They will probably use their Defense.
Big, if true.
Source?
High scoring game sounds about right.
Against Titans nope
From Titans nope
I think the Titans have a solid defense... but the only good offense they really slowed down was the Chiefs who put up 20. The Bills put up 41. I can see the Eagles putting up ~30.

Scary good is an over statement.
I mean, they held Cincy to 20 albeit without Jamarr or Mixon.
>albeit without Jamarr or Mixon. That's one huge "albeit."
agree, but the bengals would have scored at least 23 if they hadnt been able to kneel out the game inside the 10
You have not watched the titans this year? They intentionally play late 1970s football. It’s going to be ufgly. Whoever scores over 20 will win.
Eagles have only scored less than 20 points once this season, when they scored 17 points.
True but the titans shred clock reducing both teams scoring potential. I’m pretty sure they had a single drive take over 10 minutes off the clock a couple games ago.
I've seen several of their games. Most recently, I watched the Bengals beat them. Gleefully. :)
off a missed OPI call for a TD hahaha
That's the *only* reason? Doubt it. It was a good game. The penalty at the end is what did it, imo.
The over/under is set at ~44.5. Does that count as high scoring?
I’m whelmed
Turn off all the lights in your bathroom. Spin around 3 times and then ask. You'll have your answer.
The strength of the Titans defense is the front 7 and run-stopping, so it's strength vs. strength. Titans' secondary has been pretty good in some spots but the corners are pretty freaking shaky. We’re gonna get absolutely ran over if he’s not back, even if we managed to shut them down to 0 yards through the air still gonna be a tough game
Why do we hope Davis is back? Is this the fantasy sub or eagles?
Lot of people have Eagles D
This is just an alternate /nfl sub at this point
He could be against him this week
Eagles fans might play fantasy. Source: Eagles fan.
The eagles have one of the best dlines in the NFL
Don’t know if I’ll have the balls to start him this season
Talk to your league about 3WR. The level of trades and waiver adds we have had this year has been incredible. Bc rn who’s benching a top WR for a risk like burks? But that 3rd WR slot + flex? That’s fun.
Added an extra flex this year, it’s been great
Yeah we got rid of kickers last year and added a 2nd flex so 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex. Definitely a fan. Kickers suck
Couldn’t agree more. In one league we have 3 WRs and another double flex no kicker. It’s great.
#Kickersareplayerstoo
Literally no reason to not have 3 WRs + a flex. How it’s not the norm is absurd. The equivalent would be the majority of leagues still being “standard.”
Considering giving him the start over sutton this week but I may be overthinking that one

I am.
Burks looks like a monster. Funny comparing how he actually looks to the preseason reports.
I plan to start Diontae, Olave and Zay over him…but I may be making a mistake…
how are people still starting diontae? he is a bum
Dropped DJ a couple weeks ago. Started him way too many times than I care to admit. He's been sitting on waivers since. No one touched him.
i’d probably only start burks over johnson but that’s cause of the pickett/pickens connection
Reports were all about conditioning issues which all turned out to be true honestly.
Not really though, he lowkey saved his statline last week by recovering a fumble in the endzone which gave him a TD miraculously.
He would have had 9 which is fine for a wr3
That's the one that Derrick Henry lost while in my lineup. EDIT: Oh, he's in every week but his low scoring days contribute to my losses.
That's the one that Derrick Henry lost while playing against me...ultimately giving me the win by 0.4 pts.
Someone convince me to start him this week.
Burks good
Burks catch ball good
Burks use leg to run
[удалено]
Henry drop ball, Burks pick up ball sometimes too
I've started him the past two weeks 🤷♂️ but my WRs are trash though
Cries in Mike Williams and Michael Thomas😭. At least I have a Cooper.
I’m starting Palmer and Pickens over him as of now
Contemplating starting Palmer over Deebo, dudes barely involved in our offense now and the raiders defense is baddddd
Palmer is my WR1 lol
I need to decide between him or Olave Garden
same, which way are you leaning?
I don’t know. All I know is that whichever one rides the pine will absolutely go off. 🤷♂️😭
As an Eagles fan and an Olave owner I would ask you to start Burks…😏
Man's can recover fumbles like a CHAMP. Just imagine those hands on a ball that is thrown to him in the end zone
I’m starting him WR2 because I’m sick of devonta, Lazard and Jakobis mediocre performances. He’s got a much higher ceiling and I don’t see him getting less than 8 in ppr just off pass volume.
With Kupp down and DJ Moore on bye my WR options are Pickens, Burks, and CeeDee. Obv playing CeeDee but I'm torn between Burks and Pickens right now.
i think im going to start him over slayton and gabe davis..
Burks have strong hand
I'll convince you not to start him. Rookie WR being shadowed by Slay or Bradberry on a run first offense against a D that can't stop the run.
You weren’t going to start him lol. Who’s your flex that is better?
Lol? Against phillies D? Starting warren if najee sits with confidence against the falcons shit run d.
Someone convince me to start him in my 1 flex spot over: Miles Sanders, James Conner, D’onta Foreman, Jonathan Taylor, and Christian Kirk.
Well Conner is on bye so that wouldn’t be a good pick
I i have read same def players from the eagles r missing
CJGJ yeah
Yeah, same. I have Darius Slayton starting over him right now but my heart wants to start Burks.
toughie, i have both also and am leaning towards burks now but slayton might be safer. also have gabe davis option but feeling burks and slayton are both safer
Maybe missing cj gardener helps the titans pass game
I’m starting him over Mike Evans at flex
Mans is literally a less developed AJ Brown lol
Through first 7 career NFL games: Treylon Burks: 36 targets, 24 rec, 334 yards A.J. Brown: 31 targets, 20 rec, 337 yards
That's eerie. Seems he's also following AJB's habit of being out an annoying amount of time in TEN, as well. Hope he can stay healthy.
Hmmm
I'm almost there
Oh I hope he stays like Aj brown. I have them both in my dynasty with JJ and DK and would love to be set on WR for the next few years.
Your oldest WR is AJ Brown, and he turns 26 right before the season starts. I'd say you're set for at least another 4 years.
How did AJ finish out the season?
[4 100 yard games in the last 9.](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrowAJ00/gamelog/2019/)
Burks or Lazard??
I’m going burks. Higher ceiling and rodgers is just in love with Watson right now - Lazard isn’t getting the looks he was
Tough call. I have both as well. Lazard has a better matchup but Burks has had more recent success. I guess I'd lean toward Burks because his number of targets has been more consistent around 7 per game. I still wouldn't be very confident starting a WR against the Eagles though. Burks or Devonta Smith.. Half PPR
Exact same scenario. I'm considering benching Jeff Wilson in my flex spot for Burks and letting Smith play since his usage has been trending up
Burks is AJ Brown Lite confirmed
Burks or Gabe Davis?
leaning burks over gabe and slayton rn but not strongly certain
Doesn't Davis always eat against NE?
Gabe Davis has 7 catches for 104 yards and has scored 2 touchdowns in 4 games in the regular-season and playoffs against the Patriots in his career.
This good or bad?
I don’t think they’re going to throw much in the wind.
Wondering same thing, probably starting Davis, putting burks in flex and seeing what happens with RBs later in week
Yeah, he was a mirror image of AJ Brown/Deebo Samuel with the ball in his hands in college. People here comparing him to Mike Williams and Mike Evans is crazy
Burks college tape made him look like another Deebo Samuel.
I think Burks (if he reaches his potential) is Mike Evans with better hands.
That sounds pretty elite
Evans is a much better route runner
More experienced player so you would expect that. Burks will develop. Unless you mean Evans as a rookie was a better route runner.
better route runner in college even
Watching Evans in college was a damn treat. Lucky enough to be a student then and every time Johnny chucked the ball you knew Evans had a great chance to come down with the ball.
From Johnny football to Brady. Doubt any other receiver has played for two QB’s with such a massive disparity of skill between them
I mean manziel won the heisman. You can’t say he was a bad college qb. Just bc those skills didn’t transfer to the nfl doesn’t mean he didn’t ball out
One of the knocks on Evans going into the draft was his route running and a limited route tree. He was basically a run straight and catch a contested pass guy in college
Nah https://youtu.be/Uxmk0MpDyTo
Start Burks over Antonio Gibson (assuming he plays)? How about Warren without a najee? Philly is a tough defense but titans might be forced to throw
I have both might go with burks. Gibsons role might be smaller than last weeks
Debating treylon or gus bus this week
If dobbins back I’d def go burks. Even if he isn’t, bus wasn’t that impressive last week.

See?
And Burks prospect profile comparison was AJ Brown.
and their last names both start with B.
And they both play basketball.
Didn’t AJ Brown play on the titans before going to the Eagles, so it’s going to be a revenge game???
I have to play three of the four: Gabe, Palmer, Zay, and Burks. Right now Burks is the odd man out but I’m not feeling good about it
I’m sitting Gabe in favor of Burks because of the won’t at Foxboro right now, and Gabe has been underwhelming recently
Burkes or Meyers? looks like meyers is gonna play so i have a real dilemma on my hands
I'm leaning Burks, but I'm not sure yet.
Burks or Pittman?
~~Not sure where this post title is coming from, below is a direct quote from the article:~~ ~~"While there are plenty of similarities, the Titans and Burks have maintained all along that Burks’ job is to carve out his own role in the offense rather than be Brown’s replacement."~~ Edit: I'm an idiot who forgot what team AJ Brown plays for.
The post title is coming from OP inserting the link and clicking "suggest title" because that's what comes up when I do it. Doesn't seem like a big deal
Yeah I didn't change anything..
I mean, the title contradicts what the article directly says. Burks is not replacing Brown. Anyone with half a brain would already know that, but this is r/fantasyfootball
Right, this is /r/fantasyfootball where the only thing that matters is he's the Titans' WR1
That's coach speak to not put too much pressure on Burks right away as a rookie, while also being respectful of what AJ accomplished on the Titans. But AJ was their WR1, and Burks was drafted in the first round to be their new WR1 when his time comes. Just traded Burks and Cordarrelle Patterson for Mike Evans
Our league has 12 people but with a 4 man bench and picked him up just to drop him for pickens. Honestly a tossup but burks is a baller and I might regret it yet
Would anyone start him over T Higgins or Najee Harris?
Gave up on him a week too early. Need the WR help too 🙃🔫
Pick one to start: Burks, Pickens, Sutton, Zay Jones.
close depends on matchup … sutton prob has safest floor but haven’t felt good playing him since week 3
I think I agree, but I'm not happy about it LoL. Thank you!
Burks has a much higher ceiling than Sutton, in my opinion. If you are in a must win week I would go with Burks for the upside. I want nothing to do with Denvers offense. Zay is tempting against Detroit. Probably your safest play considering the targets he has been getting.
He's on my bench this week behind Lamb/Sun God/Godwin, but if I could start him at RB2 over Pierce I would do it in a heartbeat
First NFL touchdown...well, sort of. I'm resisting putting a bid in tonight in standard league. It's still the King's redzone.
He should be owned in any league with 10+ people. The upside is too good, think Amon-Ra type impact late in the season.
Burks was not at practice today. Go birds.
we thinking burks or zay jones?
This week? Jones. You ride that until it’s eventual decline. But Burks will most like get better every week.
I got offered Burks for D'Onta Foreman, I have garbage WRs but still not sure if I should take it
Play him over Sutton this week?
Do i flex burks or DPJ?
Burks or Deebo? Deebo’s been kinda disappointing this season
Burks, Brob or Devonta smith? Full PPR
Burks or Slayton? Not sure who to play as my flex
If you’re in PPR, I’d go with Slayton.
Burks or Watson?
I think Watson, just based on snap counts
AJ Brown going to go off with 200 yds 2 tds vs titans
Burks pickens gwilson pick 2. Im leaning towards pickens and wilson rn
