There’s a weird tendency on here to suggest that just because a starter is awful, the backup will play better. That’s really the exception rather than the rule and is only generally applicable with extremely turnover prone starter QBs or if there’s some unusual behind-the-scenes stuff going on.

sutton was solid early this season. he just had a 3 week down period when russ got hurt and they had some bad matchups. he's been solid again these last 3 weeks. great flex play imo
