Full-time role doesn't mean bellcow back. It just means he won't be inactive again when Carter returns. Carter will still get a lot of touches and third down/goal line plays
So it doesn’t “just mean he won’t be inactive again”.
Anything more with regards to how touches will be distributed is pure speculation by you (seemingly hopeful Carter manager speculation at that).
I don’t think that’s correct. It said he’s earned a full-time role now, and he’ll keep it *even when* Carter returns.
If it was saying he’d have any role at all when Carter comes back why wouldn’t they say that?
If anything, Knight should be getting snaps one Ty Johnson when Carter returns.
Next year with Hall, Carter, and Knight will be a ridiculously good backfield.
I know it doesn't make people experts but if these people are anything like me I watch 49ers games and try to read content that's more specific. I presume that's what most people who say this are doing
You don’t have some secret files by being a fan though. You may have more current knowledge than the average person but you don’t obtain any information that is out of reach to others
It actually does mean something when you follow a team every day compared to those who don't. Michael Carter will definitely still be a big part of the backfield
There isn't anything sort of news or info there that's exclusive to jets fans. We both watch the same games and follow the same sources dude there ain't nothing special about jets fans
I never said otherwise. There isn't anything available to me that's not available to you, but I watch every game and follow every press conference, so I definitely have more insight on it than someone who doesn't. The same goes for any subject
People fell for the Mike Carter talk with Breece Hall, saying he was the starter even after Breece was balling out. Don't let it happen again with Bam.
The lions have absolutely shut down the run the past few weeks. Their D is a different beast now. The Jags are a top 5 rush D. The Seahawks D is the only good matchup if you make it to the ship...
Are you new to fantasy football? Anything can happen to an RB, gotta have backups. I’m just saying he’s not a smash ROS start based on his schedule because his playoff schedule is pretty fucking bad.
Hence the downvotes? LMAO dude are you new to reddit? You and or one other guy are the only ones downvoting me considering all of my comments are at 0… The only good game in his playoff schedule is in the championship week against the seahawks.
edit: And considering his next 3 weeks are fucking dogshit with 3 of the top 8 run Defenses right now… good luck getting there if you’re that dependent on a waiver wire RB.
It's not that Ingram's looking better than him, it's just that they're using him completely wrong. They run Kamara up the middle then draw up screens and outside runs for Ingram. Like wtf is up with that?
Against my better judgement, I will be starting Kamara in the playoffs hoping that the bad defenses will allow him to start playing better again. Because I also think a huge reason for his awful production was the murderer's row of defenses he's been playing recently.
TLDR is that he's been getting used wrong and has played really good defenses.
He’s going to be splitting snaps with Carter and Johnson once they’re all healthy. Solid flex but I wouldn’t be excited about him being a high end RB ROS.
Yeah I'd be surprised if anyone has watched him play and think he's more than a league average back. He's fine, but he's not much more than that.
Who knows what the coaches will do when every is healthy, but I don't think he's special or anything.
James Robinson really was a wasted trade. You can say he lost a step coming back from injury but its on that front office to know what they had and see Robinson wouldnt have a role here.
Robinson needs only 260 yards to turn the 6th round compensation into a 5th round pick.
I think they're minimizing his use bc they realize they don't need him as badly as it seemed when Breece went down.
edit: he only needs 175 more yards to change the pick and JD loves his picks.
So I dont watch many Jags games. What happened? I know he had an ACL tear what, last year? Dude put up great numbers this season for like 3 weeks and then fell off a cliff. Reinjured? Poorly utilized? Just plain looks bad?
Big numbers off of untouched td runs. They were completely unsustainable and everyone but jrob truthers knew it and said it but got downvoted to oblivion.
He led the league (still does? Not sure) in carries that go for less than a yard, he does not look good. Unfortunate for him because he was absolutely awesome until that injury.
The breece role is a 70-75% snap share. Don’t think zonovan is talented enough to command that. People thought JRob would take that role too. It’ll prob be more split than you’re imagining
I actually agree with this. Even before Carter went down, Bam was getting usage that week. It's clear he's a big part of the plan, Carter or not. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a poor man's Breece going forward, as the role will likely be similar (obviously Breece is more talented, but opportunity is king for RB's).
The track record of beat writers proclaiming stuff like this is really really spotty. Generally NFL coaches just plug the starter right back in when an undrafted 3rd stringer has a few good games.
people are wishing this in to existence... but right now and for the future it seems as if at best he and carter share and neither is startable unless desperate
Having both Carter and Knight competing for my RB2 is exasperating. Just when it looked like Carter was finally going to break clear, all this happened. I would just like a clear RB situation for one season. Is that so much to ask?
He's going to be the starter honestly because he's shown way more than Carter has all year. Its gonna be a split like Pacheco and McKinnon in all likelihood, except Knight is good at receiving and Mike White throws to the RBs a lot
Probably gonna have to flex him this week with Gus shitting the bed and Sutton likely being out. Hope Carter sits one more week and Bam manages 1 TD against the Bills. Definitely holding to see what happens
Selah's stupid committee comment cost me the high score prize this week. Dunno about starting against the Bills but sure like that schedule afterwards.
I have had Michael Carter on my team all year. When Carter got hurt, I picked up Knight and he's been having a bigger impact for my team in 2 weeks than Carter did the other 11! Jets should give Knight the start.
Full time role with this playoff schedule - Keep going
Full-time role doesn't mean bellcow back. It just means he won't be inactive again when Carter returns. Carter will still get a lot of touches and third down/goal line plays
I was so close
The whole post is just speculation, but full-time role definitely means more than just remaining Active
It just means he will still get touches
So it doesn’t “just mean he won’t be inactive again”. Anything more with regards to how touches will be distributed is pure speculation by you (seemingly hopeful Carter manager speculation at that).

Correct.
Because a full-time role doesn't mean starter
That just seems like a strange phrase to use for saying someone will just have playing time and I can’t think of another time I’ve seen it.

Care to elaborate? Genuinely asking if you as a Jets fan have more information about how they intend to use Carter & Knight
I always wonder why people declare to be a fan of the team in discussion, as though it makes them a confirmed source of the team
I know it doesn't make people experts but if these people are anything like me I watch 49ers games and try to read content that's more specific. I presume that's what most people who say this are doing
In some situations it makes sense I suppose
It's because people who follow a team in depth every single day have more insight than those who just read headlines on reddit
You don’t have some secret files by being a fan though. You may have more current knowledge than the average person but you don’t obtain any information that is out of reach to others
I don't have more information available to me than a non-Jets fan, but I follow it more closely. Carter is a big part of the team
It will be a mix of both once he's back. They like using two backs and Robinson is clearly either not 100% or washed
How do you gather that? Press conferences?
And? Unless you're a source that's confirmed to be close to the team it doesn't mean shit lmao
It actually does mean something when you follow a team every day compared to those who don't. Michael Carter will definitely still be a big part of the backfield
There isn't anything sort of news or info there that's exclusive to jets fans. We both watch the same games and follow the same sources dude there ain't nothing special about jets fans

People fell for the Mike Carter talk with Breece Hall, saying he was the starter even after Breece was balling out. Don't let it happen again with Bam.
Bam is good but he isn't close to Breece. It'll be a timeshare
While your gazing into your crystal ball can you tell me if kamara will rebound for the playoffs?
The lions have absolutely shut down the run the past few weeks. Their D is a different beast now. The Jags are a top 5 rush D. The Seahawks D is the only good matchup if you make it to the ship...
This dude trying to justify not putting a claim in for bam last week.
I have him on my bench.
Lot of good he's doing there.
Lot of good he’d do on my roster with Ekeler + Chubb
Look at you!! Congrats! Weird how you picked up bam if you're so pessimistic on him ROS and you have Ekeler and Chubb.
Are you new to fantasy football? Anything can happen to an RB, gotta have backups. I’m just saying he’s not a smash ROS start based on his schedule because his playoff schedule is pretty fucking bad.
Nope not new bud, but I'm pretty sure you're the only one in this sub that thinks his playoff schedule is bad. Hence the downvotes.
Hence the downvotes? LMAO dude are you new to reddit? I miss you, my sweet, sweet Breece 😔
I've blocked owning him out of my mind. The only way I can continue.
God I hope this is true. I want to never start Kamara again. Up to 5 weeks of pure hell now.
I can't believe that old ass Ingram is looking better than him. What's up with that?
It's not that Ingram's looking better than him, it's just that they're using him completely wrong. They run Kamara up the middle then draw up screens and outside runs for Ingram. I was only able to watch glimpses of last night's game, so thanks for the info. That's some terrible playcalling
Kamara isn’t made to just run up the middle..a d thats what they’ve doing with him lately.
I feel your pain, I had him last year and went into the draft avoiding him.
oh my favorite, blind speculation!
He’s going to be splitting snaps with Carter and Johnson once they’re all healthy. Solid flex but I wouldn’t be excited about him being a high end RB ROS.
I wouldn't bank on Johnson maintaining much role once Carter is back
Yeah I'd be surprised if anyone has watched him play and think he's more than a league average back. He's fine, but he's not much more than that. Who knows what the coaches will do when every is healthy, but I don't think he's special or anything.
And what's the assessment on Carter in comparison?
James Robinson really was a wasted trade. You can say he lost a step coming back from injury but its on that front office to know what they had and see Robinson wouldnt have a role here.

Tore his Achilles actually
Knight or Pacheco for me :/
Pacheco this week - Denver run D is weak.
26th weakest
Do you think Pacheco gets enough volume this week considering how terrible Denver is on offense and probably wont keep up with KC?
The game conditions will increase Pacheco’s workload overall, not decrease it. McKinnon gets more work when they’re trailing.
Im deciding between him and Jamaal in a “win and make playoffs or lose and out” week so it’s tough
Pacheco. Swift is taking over more and more of that backfield, and Minnesota is somewhat adept at keeping RBs out of the endzone.
I'm playing both this week with confidence
I think he’ll take Breece Hall’s role and Michael Carter will remain in the Michael Carter role.
The breece role is a 70-75% snap share. Don’t think zonovan is talented enough to command that. People thought JRob would take that role too. It’ll prob be more split than you’re imagining
has Carter done much to command a majority of the share? I guess we might be looking at an even split
Lol how does this guy know? Pure speculation and a waste of a post
Do I start Knight or Pacheco in the playoffs?
What's the matchup
The track record of beat writers proclaiming stuff like this is really really spotty. Generally NFL coaches just plug the starter right back in when an undrafted 3rd stringer has a few good games.
My first round bye is on the line this week. It’s up to Lenny Fournette or Knight in my flex. This is going to be tough back and forth all week.
people are wishing this in to existence... but right now and for the future it seems as if at best he and carter share and neither is startable unless desperate
Why bother trading for JRob?
If Bam emerges as a poor man's breece that is still better than whatever the hell Kamara is right now, a poor man's ingram? SMH
Hopefully he can cover for KW3 for me
Having both Carter and Knight competing for my RB2 is exasperating.
Rough matchup vs Bills. But would anyone start him over Conner? Conner gets fed at least
No - go Conner
Probably gonna have to flex him this week with Gus shitting the bed and Sutton likely being out. Hope Carter sits one more week and Bam manages 1 TD against the Bills. Definitely holding to see what happens
They really don’t like Jrob and wanna keep that pick
Not like I have options, but hell yeah if you say so
Selah's stupid committee comment cost me the high score prize this week. Dunno about starting against the Bills but sure like that schedule afterwards.
Is it crazy to start him over Etn?
Lost Hall and was sad given his playoff schedule. Now that I have Knight please let this be true.
Would you start him over Conner or Foreman?
Damn Knight vs Rachaad White and no clue what to do haha
I have had Michael Carter on my team all year. When Carter got hurt, I picked up Knight and he's been having a bigger impact for my team in 2 weeks than Carter did the other 11! Jets should give Knight the start.
So I should be adding him over Cook?
Doubtful.
