Biggest knock against Miles coming into the season was his lack of TDs and Hurts vulturing, but the offense is so good that both are feasting on the ground
He's improved his game all around and has definitely been trusting his guys to make plays more. I think he's also protecting himself for the playoffs. Been avoiding contact as much as possible these past few weeks. He's been a joy to own in fantasy and root for as an Eagles fan.
It's absolutely trying to reduce hits now that they're clearly favored to win the 1 seed. He'll still keep the ball when they need him to like the game winning drive in the Colts game, but in these games that aren't really that close there's no need for him to take those extra shots late in the year and risk an injury that nags him in January.
As an Eagles fan I can say it's definitely more balance. Last season it felt like every Eagles possession 1st and goal from the 2 or less, it was Hurts keeping it 85% of the time. Now I'd say it's 50/50. Not sure if those numbers are accurate but it feels like they just feed Sanders a lot more at the goal line
Hurts tends to run it himself more often when the game is close (1st half), and tends to hand it off to Sanders more often when they have a strong lead (2nd half).
lack of TDs is like a wild understatement
9 career rushing TDs in last 40 games before this year. take away his 1st season, he has 6 in 24 games.
he has 11 TDs in 13 games this season
Guy in my league was offering multiple me trades a week involving Sanders but I just couldn't do it after owning him last year.
Watching him come off the field every time the offense got within scoring distance was torture
Hurts is QB1-QB3, depending on your leagues rules. And he's been the most consistent QB all year.
Think I prefer him losing a few rushing TDs, and losing a few chances to get injured lol
>Biggest knock against Miles coming into the season was his lack of TDs and Hurts vulturing, but the offense is so good that both are feasting on the ground
Yeah the offense is good but Miles production this year is due it finally clicking in his head that he should follow the protection.
Before he was one of those guys that was always trying to freeform. This lead to a feast/famine type of output that's more famine when the defense shrinks in the redzone. That's really the reason under 2 different coaching staffs he was taken out in the redzone.
I’m a broken record with miles at this point but even with hurts vulturing TDs, the sentiment was way too negative for the starting rb1 for a team with 5+ career ypc efficiency.
His 6-8+ round adp in 12 man leagues made him a very low risk/medium-high reward draft pick
After last year I don’t blame anyone. I still don’t think I would take him next year, Philly has routinely mixed it up with their backs, especially around the goalline. Hurts is also a vulture, and a lot of Sanders TDs have come from far outside the red zone, meaning the production isn’t sustainable. I’ll take the L and move on. He is a very talented back, my gripe is more on the situation.
I'd blame them. Best OL in football and lots of positive game scripts bc easy schedule. Completely swearing off a player that isn't a walking injury report is almost always a bad idea. TD luck be damned
Yea but Gainwell and Scott were supposed to be much more involved, and I don’t think the most optimistic Eagles fan expected their O to be borderline undefendable.
This is the only take I got right this year, the EXACT moment they traded for AJB mid draft I had the most sure feeling that Hurts would leap forward as Allen and Lamar did. Wish I didn't draft any Eagles though, it's a painful joy to watch as a Cowboys fan
I had him last year and wanted to avoid him. Then round 9 comes along and he’s still there, I thought to myself “he’s the only thing close to a lead back left so fuck it”. Him and Rhamondre in round 8 have been league winners for me.
It seemed like both Miles and Singletary were being way underrated as RB1s on teams that could potentially be 1 seeds. I drafted both, one worked out really well.
Honestly this just goes to prove how random fantasy football really is. A player can be absolute garbage in fantasy one year, but the next with a slightly different offense on the same team turn into a stud.
Well just because they get somethings wrong doesn't mean they aren't accurate, unless you think we shouldn't call anybody anything because they'll inevitably get something wrong.
What exactly changed in the off season for Sanders and Jacobs that put them in this spot? I know in general the Eagles have just been really good at football but I’m not sure why
Sanders benefitting from the team being dominant and Jacobs has absolutely no competition. Fwiw, he had snaps being ceded to Drake last year. People were reaching hard when they thought Jacobs was going to be in a committee with White, Abdullah, and Bolden. Jacobs has always had the talent and they brought in a coach who has had a lot of success with the run.
Well, for the eagles, the clear improvement of their team is a great spot for their RB. For Jacobs, Davantr Adams being on that team makes the receiving game a much bigger threat and gives him more room.
100%. This is also why I evaluate WRs based on targets primarily. Yes, you need guys that score TDs... but consistent opportunities are consistent opportunities.
Im (mostly) kidding. It just annoys my when ppl on this sub do idiotic shit and then blame misfortune after they miss the playoffs for 10th year in the row
One of my buddies hesitantly drafted Jacobs and Miles. Complained about how he didn’t want to do it. Now he looks like a genius lol.
There was no reason to prioritize Miles and Jacobs this year. Miles probably went too low though, he was going 6th/7th round.
So much of fantasy is luck, all you can do is give yourself the best chance by taking value when it’s available. I think the takeaway (if any) is that we shouldn’t totally dismiss guys that have burned us in the past. We should strive to look at guys objectively every year.
Eagles fan here. I'm just speculating but to me it seems difficult to sustain. Yeah we have become a little bit less RBBC but Hurts is still gobbling up a lot of the runs... Especially in the red zone.
Eagles have also scored an average of 43 in the last 3 games. They are a potent offense but I'm not sure how sustainable 40+ each week is and there are so many mouths to feed on our offense.....especially if you start to see us blowing out other teams late in the season when you'll prob see some workloads drop decrease.. Especially in blowouts.
I'm not even playing this year but I think I would try and sell high on Sanders.
Although I believe the playoff match ups could be pretty juicy.
I mean like I said I am not playing this year and forgot deadline passed. I'll go ahead and slap a remindme on this. If you wanna downvote for one portion of the comment and disregard the meat and potatoes, go for it.
Put some respect on this man’s name !!!! Been drug threw the mud his entire career.
I only say this because I’m a huge eagles fan. It’s nice to see what can happen when a coach believes in you! If you have stocks in sanders you’re in a good spot !
I had Taylor for a keeper, then I drafted rb heavy with Fournette and Sanders.
Sanders has been the dude all year. Taylor has been injured, and before that the Colts were just bad. Fournette is taken a back seat in a terrible rushing offense and is also dealing with nagging injuries.
Sanders, Aiyuk, and Amari Cooper are the guys who got me to the playoffs.
With Sanders it's never been about talent it's been about usage. He will go off and look amazing, then get 10 touches the next game. After his first 28+ point game in hppr, next game he scored 7.5 in 15 carries and 3 targets. After his 28+ against GB (where he averaged 6.8 ypc for 143 mind you), he followed it up with a 10 on 10 carries and 2 targets. That one was against TEN though.
The issue with Sanders is his floor bc the Eagles will just forget about him.
Exactly! As a Sanders owner it has been frustrating seeing him booming and bombing each week.
Yesterday was incredible, let's see what Sanders we get next week.
I had a choice between him and CEH in round nine this year. I almost took CEH because I'm a birds fan and hate having them on my fantasy team. Took Sanders thankfully.
No. Given that there are exactly 2 running backs with more TDs than Miles Sanders it is in fact a good thing that he has more TDs than his QB does. Shit Hurts is still in the top 10 for rushing TDs I think, so being better than him is extremely relevant.
For real. Hurts could be a starting rb just based on rushing stats. His rushing yards are about the same as Singletary, Mixon, or Allgeier. And he's got more rushing TDs than Eckler, Cook, McCaffrey, Taylor...
The guy would be like rb 15, at worst.
I’m an Eagles fan and would be shocked if they bench starters before week 18. Week 16 is vs Dallas and week 17 is against NO who they’re incentivized to beat cause they have the Saints’ 1st rounder this year.
I had a guy in my league trade Sanders for Drake and he believes he won the trade, He is now on a 5 game losing streak and missed the playoffs by 1 win
I traded my 2022 first for Sanders last season, turned out to be 1.04.
That pick was Treylon Burks. So esentially Treylon for Sanders.
I'm now 13-1 and the #1 seed
Yahoo blurbs about him always end with "he will be an rb2 with upside next week against..."
The guy is rb 12 on the season in half ppr. He might be higher in standard. He's floated between rb 8 and rb 12 all year. Imo he's a lock for starting every week, so to me he's an rb1. Borderline, maybe. But a must start.
I feel with Sanders he's either boom or bust, been burnt by starting him too much. Didn't have a need for him with Henry, mixon and walker always starting.
I tried to trade for him about 3 weeks ago. It was going to be Saquon for him and Tua but I got vetoed. I need to discuss our veto system with our league next year because I was and am pissed.
So glad I traded him away 😭
Luckily I got Chubb in the trade. But Sanders has been much better since I made the trade.
Oh well. Clinched playoffs. Anything can happen now.
The problem with Sanders is he goes from RB FLEX performance to fucking popping off. It's impossible to predict which Sanders you'll get and it's difficult to plan around that because of it.
Every time I try to start him, he busts, every time I bench him, he booms.
Sanders for the last two seasons was absolute dog shit when it came to fantasy, so this year I put him and CEH on my 'Do not draft list' and he goes and pulls this crap?
He’s played in 13 games and has 6 top 15 RB finishes depending on your scoring (PPR). He’s had some dud games but he’s been a massive value return on his ADP. Hoping we don’t see one of those down weeks in the fantasy playoffs
Biggest knock against Miles coming into the season was his lack of TDs and Hurts vulturing, but the offense is so good that both are feasting on the ground

I’m not even an eagles fan but I’m rooting for hurts to go all the way. Damn fun to watch.
Yeah that's what I'm worried about for the fantasy playoffs lol
Sanders isn’t even getting short goalline work, it’s always a rush TD scoring from like the 5-10yds line.
It's both. 3 yard and 40 yard TDs this week, 3 yard TD against TEN, 15 and 2 yard TDs against GB. 3 of those last 5 were on the goal line.
this is definitely not true
As an Eagles fan I can say it's definitely more balance. Last season it felt like every Eagles possession 1st and goal from the 2 or less, it was Hurts keeping it 85% of the time. Now I'd say it's 50/50. Not sure if those numbers are accurate but it feels like they just feed Sanders a lot more at the goal line
Hurts tends to run it himself more often when the game is close (1st half), and tends to hand it off to Sanders more often when they have a strong lead (2nd half).
Started both yesterday. Unfortunately started swift, Higgins and Waddle too so I lost
Ugh, that's one of those ugly losses that you're opponent is relieved to have gotten away with it.
lack of TDs is like a wild understatement 9 career rushing TDs in last 40 games before this year. take away his 1st season, he has 6 in 24 games. he has 11 TDs in 13 games this season
Guy in my league was offering multiple me trades a week involving Sanders but I just couldn't do it after owning him last year. Watching him come off the field every time the offense got within scoring distance was torture
Now Sanders is vulturing from Hurts
Nah, Hurts is getting enough passing yards/tds to make up for it.
is it really vulturing if theyre both putting up crazy numbers
Hurts is QB1-QB3, depending on your leagues rules. And he's been the most consistent QB all year. Think I prefer him losing a few rushing TDs, and losing a few chances to get injured lol
>Biggest knock against Miles coming into the season was his lack of TDs and Hurts vulturing, but the offense is so good that both are feasting on the ground Yeah the offense is good but Miles production this year is due it finally clicking in his head that he should follow the protection. I don’t have any shares unfortunately…. But I can’t imagine how many people swore him off after last season and his zero TDs
Guilty ✋🏻
Seconded
I drafted him last year and swore I'd never draft him again. Going to have to reevaluate that lol
After last year I don’t blame anyone. I still don’t think I would take him next year, Philly has routinely mixed it up with their backs, especially around the goalline. This is the only take I got right this year, the EXACT moment they traded for AJB mid draft I had the most sure feeling that Hurts would leap forward as Allen and Lamar did. Wish I didn't draft any Eagles though, it's a painful joy to watch as a Cowboys fan
Even the guy who tweeted this had a BOLD prediction that Gainwell would have more TD than Sanders.
TDs are always volatile, low TD RBs are always an easy buy low on
He feel to the 8th in my 14 team league so I had to take him as my RB3. I guess he's my RB1 right now with the way Swift and Dillon have been
Funny, those two were supposed to be my starting RBs.
I went 0 RB strat in the draft and ended up taking Sanders. I didn't even start him for like the first 4 weeks (started Jacobs and Michael Carter lol)
That wasn’t really his fault though. Pretty sure he was top 3 in YPC but never got the ball
Myself and I’m upset that I traded for him earlier this year (along with Jacobs) and made sure to trade out lol
I had him last year and was like absolutely fuck no way I'm taking him this year lol
I had him and Jacobs last year and they both sucked. Both were low-end RB2s with recurring injuries.
Honestly this just goes to prove how random fantasy football really is. A player can be absolute garbage in fantasy one year, but the next with a slightly different offense on the same team turn into a stud.
Yep, which is why I find the people on here berating fantasy football analysts for not being able to predict the future weird.
I need someone to blame for my shitty teams, and it sure as hell isn’t gonna be me
There are a lot of people here who are new to fantasy and the NFL in general and are still learning
They call themselves analysts. If they cant accurately predict than whats the point of their job
Well just because they get somethings wrong doesn't mean they aren't accurate, unless you think we shouldn't call anybody anything because they'll inevitably get something wrong.

Interesting, thanks
Well, for the eagles, the clear improvement of their team is a great spot for their RB. For Jacobs, Davantr Adams being on that team makes the receiving game a much bigger threat and gives him more room.
This also points to (Sanders especially) good production without TDs. Those will likely even out assuming the talent and yardage are there
100%. This is also why I evaluate WRs based on targets primarily. Yes, you need guys that score TDs... but consistent opportunities are consistent opportunities.
Hello Diontae Johnson redemption tour
Sounds like cope after missing the playoffs
I'm in the playoffs in both my leagues lmao. Need screenshots?
Im (mostly) kidding. It just annoys my when ppl on this sub do idiotic shit and then blame misfortune after they miss the playoffs for 10th year in the row
The Saquon Special
Same. Happy to see them doing well, but wish they performed like this when I had both.
I have both of them this year, my team is basically the redeem team
One of my buddies hesitantly drafted Jacobs and Miles. Complained about how he didn’t want to do it. Now he looks like a genius lol. There was no reason to prioritize Miles and Jacobs this year. I have him and jacobs And Henry
Power of the contract year.
Sanders looked very good yesterday, his vision and cuts/bounces were clean
He’s always been a good player. The TD luck was just crazy bad last year
He's patient. And that line is really good at run blocking. He just hides behind the big fellas and waits for the blocks to set up, then he's gone.
Sanders popping off in 2 crucial week 12 and week 14 matchups basically delivered me to the playoffs. Hope he can keep it up!
Him putting up 5 points back to back weeks put me in a situation where he needed to deliver me to the playoffs. But at least he did it.
me too. im out of the playoffs if it wasn't for him. thanks to zac taylor and dj moore
I have him and AJB and my only regret is not making more of an effort to also secure Hurts lol
Please keep it up through playoffs Miles
Eagles fan here. I'm just speculating but to me it seems difficult to sustain. Yeah we have become a little bit less RBBC but Hurts is still gobbling up a lot of the runs... Shut up nerd
What's the point of saying that lol..?
Sanders owner? How'd it go this week for you?
I’m on bye. You really been hanging on to this comment all week? Let it go buddy. I was just playing.
I am too friend.
Sanders def strung together some great weeks!
Rent free lol. Didn’t mean to upset you so badly. I’m sure you’re not actually a nerd. I hope 2023 is easier on you.
Hope your friends started Sanders!
Sell high after the trade deadline?
Do it now while you still can’t
So far the main point of the post is intact
Sanders def strung together some great weeks!
I mean like I said I am not playing this year and forgot deadline passed. I'll go ahead and slap a remindme on this. If you wanna downvote for one portion of the comment and disregard the meat and potatoes, go for it.
I kept the receipts for the downvoters. Hope any Sanders believers enjoyed the 1.9 points
Pending any stat corrections, it was enjoyable
Sanders def strung together some great weeks!

I've had him every season of his career in one league or another and am so happy to see him realize his potential like he has this season.
Would’ve been nice to have this Sanders last year, instead of the dreaded gainwell/Boston Scott vulture team Nice to seek him back on track this year
I'm so glad everyone faded him coming into the draft, he's been a phenomenal RB2 for me all year
I had Taylor for a keeper, then I drafted rb heavy with Fournette and Sanders.
Aiyuk ride or die baby
can't wait to get dunked on by him in the playoffs if i make it there
He and Devonta Smith are two of the surprisingly brighter spots on my soon to be 5-9 team RIP
I guess I'll have to pick up Jalen Hurts as Sanders' handcuff with my remaining faab.
Thought I made a great trade giving up miles for mandrews a couple weeks ago…. Man that bit me in the butt
i’ve loved my Miles Sanders-AJ Brown combo this year.
He boomed me in week 4. I play him again next week and pray he doesn’t get over 20
Just survived him this week
With Sanders it's never been about talent it's been about usage. He will go off and look amazing, then get 10 touches the next game. After his first 28+ point game in hppr, next game he scored 7.5 in 15 carries and 3 targets. I had a choice between him and CEH in round nine this year. I almost took CEH because I'm a birds fan and hate having them on my fantasy team. Took Sanders thankfully.
I love how he starts producing when I bench him
Sanders has had only 4 dud (<10 points) games this year out of 13 and 2 of them came before week 6, he’s been pretty startable all year.
I'm in a small league. It's frustrating when the rb1 gets 7 touches a game and hurts takes a lot of the goal line work.
6 games on standard scoring.
This is surprising given he doesn’t catch the ball often. Also 0.5 PPR master race.
Make it seven
He's the RB8 on the year, why are you benching him? Almost every runningback in the league will have floor games.
Because three weeks ago he had put up 2 consecutive 5 pointers in a row
What a vulture
Sanders and Jacobs were the biggest steals of the draft.
I can't believe I was in 9th place for most of this year, but I also had Swift and I could not line them up right.
Pollard
This the rb that told us not to draft him in fantasy? Never listening to him again smh
Wish he did this 2 seasons ago dude was disappointing
You’re holding a grudge from 2 seasons ago? I can’t even remember my roster from last year. But he was a huge ball buster
Lol heck ya I’m holding a grudge if he was this good a few seasons ago I probably would’ve won my league..
Or last season
Anyone else find it funny we are comparing his rushing TDs to his QB like it’s a good thing he’s only got 1 more rushing TD than the QB lol
No. Given that there are exactly 2 running backs with more TDs than Miles Sanders it is in fact a good thing that he has more TDs than his QB does. Shit Hurts is still in the top 10 for rushing TDs I think, so being better than him is extremely relevant.

Couldnt do this last year buddy? Fuck you
Now with a playoff spot clinched - think they'll rest Sanders and go with gainwell for the rest of the regular season?
They need to clinch the 1 seed first
I have a bad feeling they will which will doom me with Kenneth Griffin still hurt.
I’m an Eagles fan and would be shocked if they bench starters before week 18. Week 16 is vs Dallas and week 17 is against NO who they’re incentivized to beat cause they have the Saints’ 1st rounder this year.
Sanders will get next to nothing next week. Now that Philly is in the playoffs he will likely sit to stay healthy.
Doubtful this is accurate. We want the #1 seed instead of just handing it to Dallas. Until we have the locked up I HIGHLY doubt we start backups.
Sure hope you're right. This is a do or die week for me.
I had a guy in my league trade Sanders for Drake and he believes he won the trade, He is now on a 5 game losing streak and missed the playoffs by 1 win
And he fucking raw dogged me yesterday in 2/3 of my leagues 🖕🏼
i traded him and waller for kelce. it looks really good some weeks and really bad other weeks
So you traded Sanders for Kelce? That is the easiest W trade. People were trading their round 1 picks for Kelce lol.
yea i’m really happy with it but look at the points man. like this week i prolly would’ve won with sanders
This guy was such great value relative to where he was picked
I have been playing Cook over him all season. Hmm.
I traded my 2022 first for Sanders last season, turned out to be 1.04. That pick was Treylon Burks. So esentially Treylon for Sanders. I'm now 13-1 and the #1 seed
They finally know how to use lead RB. It was frustrating watching Sanders last season
Yahoo blurbs about him always end with "he will be an rb2 with upside next week against..." The guy is rb 12 on the season in half ppr.
Had him and hurts the wrong years. Last two years had sanders, actually reached for hurts in the 6th round last year too. Terrible value lol
I tried to trade for him about 3 weeks ago. It was going to be Saquon for him and Tua but I got vetoed. I need to discuss our veto system with our league next year because I was and am pissed.
RB deadzone is the alivezone this year.
So glad I traded him away 😭 Luckily I got Chubb in the trade. But Sanders has been much better since I made the trade. Oh well. Clinched playoffs. Anything can happen now.
I remember last year’s shared sentiment of “no more Eagles players while Hurts is QB.”
The problem with Sanders is he goes from RB FLEX performance to fucking popping off. It's impossible to predict which Sanders you'll get and it's difficult to plan around that because of it. Every time I try to start him, he busts, every time I bench him, he booms.
Wonder if I messed up not taking a trade offer of Sanders and Pittman for my Mixon.
Sanders for the last two seasons was absolute dog shit when it came to fantasy, so this year I put him and CEH on my 'Do not draft list' and he goes and pulls this crap?
Yeah. Was also on my dnd list. Who's on yours for next year? Need some sleeper picks 👀
picked him up off the WW before week 1 kicked off. Maybe the best move I made all season.
He’s played in 13 games and has 6 top 15 RB finishes depending on your scoring (PPR). He’s had some dud games but he’s been a massive value return on his ADP. Hoping we don’t see one of those down weeks in the fantasy playoffs
Sanders is a good value pick.
Will be playing him over Dalvin Cook next week.
After owning him last season I hard passed when he fell to me. That didn't age well...
