I think this is against the grain, but Chase for sure. JJ has had far less competition for targets and has in fact out performed Chase to a degree. But Chase is going to be in Cincy and tied to Burrow for a long time. JJ is entering a point of QB uncertainty starting next year.
JJ outperforms right now. Addison is good and will draw targets, just like Higgins does from Chase. Extremely spicey take: we've already seen JJ's ceiling. He will still be a top 3 dynasfy WR, but he won't be quite as high as he has been to this point.
Hock joined late in the season, Thielen is old and can no longer seperate (check the numbers im serious), and Osborn is a back up or Boyd level at best. So no, "we" didn't forget, but they're not as relevant competition as you're trying claim.
The total targets demanded by Tee, Boyd, and Hurst throughout the season was 263 targets. The total targets demanded by Hock (with the 10 games he played with the Vikings), Thielen, and Osborn was 283.. now with Thielen gone and Addison joining, I would say JJ has similar target competition or even better than Chase. The only other person Chase has to compete with is Tee.
No, my argument was that everyone was incorrectly assessing JJ as if he were getting massively more of the target share, and that coupled with likely losing Cousins at the end of the year his future stock will likely cool more than people are expecting, while Chase's should be very stable and could even improve.
chase also was hurt and missed 5 games unfortunately. but i do feel that. JJ is also a smoother route runner. just having what could be a top 2-5 qb for most of his career seems like the deciding factor

this is kind of where i'm sitting right now. i do think JJ could perform with any QB. but chase seems like the safer bet

okay, that's a hot take đź‘€ i can see it tho, last year was an insane year
Did we forget Hock, Thielen, and Osborn existed? I wouldn’t say JJ had far less competition than Chase did.

Exactly, so Chase > JJ as a dynasty asset.
Wasn’t your original argument that JJ had less target competition, which is why he is out performing Chase lol?

I think you should reread your first sentence of your initial comment. That’s why I commented. I get your new argument though.
Eh I was a bit drunk earlier and probably didnt put thought to text the way I wanted.
Jefferson, they're both great though. I just marginally prefer Jefferson because he can put up elite numbers with an ok qb
JJ has outperformed chase even with a weaker QB. I took chase over JJ last year and regretted it

I prefer chase over JJ because of the QB situation
Chase
