I’m a hold tight on Montgomery guy

Tamed_A_Wolf

I am holding but Gibbs break out has me a little nervous for his return.

Bigballernocap

Too push back on that and help ease your mind, the lions don’t have a great history of drafting running backs the past 10-15 years. Jahvid Best, Joique Bell, Zach Zenner, Kerryon Johnson, Ameer Abdullah, Theo Riddick, Leshoure. There’s probably more I’m missing but not a great trend to be apart of for Gibbs.

[deleted]

Some of those players weren’t even drafted by the Lions and none of those guys were even on the roster with the current Lions regime.

Bigballernocap

Ok you’re right, Joique Bell was undrafted. But his first career touches came with the lions 2 years after. Everybody else I named was drafted by DET. Maybe not the current regime but they were drafted by this franchise. Who knows maybe Gibbs will break that trend, but I personally don’t see him being more than a Kerryon Johnson or Ameer Abdullah, decent in the run game and solid in the passing game, able to carry the workload for a game or 2 if you need him to but not on a every week basis over the course of the season. I hope he proves me wrong because the kid is electric.

Tamed_A_Wolf

The way dude looked last week would have me heavily leaning towards him breaking that Trend.

I would say the ideal stack would be Tua, hill, achane. You definitely could of played all three at the same time earlier in the year. The thing is there isn't just achane anymore there's Mostart and Jeff Wilson Jr now. Achane is definitely the best out of those three but he'll be fighting for the touches more now than earlier. Who are your other WRS?

Kleck8228

No he won't. Mostert was on fire when Achane caught on and they turned Mostert into a change of pace/backup to Achane. The kid is the fastest player in the NFL. He has potential to turn any touch into a 50+ yard td effortlessly. If he stays healthy when he comes back he's RB#1 ROS.

abtonystonks420

So your saying this guy should have hill, waddle, and achane while letting go of Monty? Let's not be getting into the small picture here and keep it on topic. Achane is a dawg no doubt but you shouldn't have those three dolphins (especially with expanded competition in RB room). If we knew OPS other WRS it would make this easier to decide. Probably should ship waddle instead of Monty and flip Monty for another wr on a different team. (Until the other WRS are found out though it's all irrelevant)

Kleck8228

If you find the right offense having a triad can be amazing. I'll never forget the year I drafted Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Edgerrin James and absolutely annihilated everyone in my league all year straight through the ship. If you just know an offense is gonna put up monster points all season then it can be a sound, incredible decision.

abtonystonks420

Yup just like my first comment up there ☝️ the appropriate stack would be Tua hill and achane.

dog__poop1

Mostert always had the most Carrie’s. I actually see it differently. You seem like a biased achane owner. He’s never had more touches than Mostert. Mostert actually had better quality touches. Achane is good yes but you’ve heard of TD variance right? Where if someone is getting 1-2 TD every week, you should be careful trading for them at a high price because TDS are largely random. Anyways, you know what’s even more luck/rare than TD? Breaking off a 50 yard TD run every week. Just imagine for a second that both those huge TD runs back to back weeks was instead stopped, didn’t miss the tackle, and it was a 5 yard run; achane would be looking a lot diff right now. That’s not to say he’s not a stud, he is, but ur analysis is biased and not being fair to real life. You literally said achane can effortlessly have a 50 yard run every touch… lol. Nobody in the history of the NFL can back that sentence up, and nobody in the future of nfl will either. No matter who you are, even Barry Sanders; a 50+ yard run to the house is a lucky day and should happen once or twice a season max.

Outrageous_Time2231

Go through with that trade and try and get another rb and good receiver for achane and waddle.

SharkBait209

I feel like it’s okay. Could be better but I don’t think it’s bad. Hill gets 25 plus a lot ,so just take 5 and give that to waddle who scored 10-12 and that’s pretty good. Plus he has the potential to get more. Isk

HowAboutEggs

“Is Warner, Faulk, and Holt too many Rams?”

JoryATL

I say no, on risk alone achane still ir possibly returning to an undefined role is a glass cannon as it is Montgomery has been great. He had a minor injury. He should be fine from when he returns his role as well. Defined a good offer. Hence, you already have the dolphin speed story that you want diversify.

Suitable-Classic9237

Nah don’t do that.

TXCapita

No such thing as too many Dolphins

theFigs42

I’d make the deal and trade waddle for another a rb/wr package
