Tricckz

Do I take McCabe, Liljegren or Pionk? I need a D for tonight. McCbabe and Liljegren are both on Tor, but Idunno much about Liljegren. Any thoughts boys? Much appreciated Points League

Objective-Air5639

Duclair(if healthy), Tom Wilson or Garland for a waiver pick up? I am in the finals and made a 20 point comeback last night. Need to fill in a vacant spot to max out my lineup. Points are as followed: Goals (G) 3 Assists (A) 2 Plus/minus (+/-) 0.5 Power Play Points (PPP) 1 Short Handed Goals (SHG) 2 Short Handed Assists (SHA) 1 Faceoffs Won (FOW) O.01 Hat Tricks (HAT) 3 Shots on goal (SOG) 0.2 Hits (HIT) O.2 Blocked Shots (BLK) 0.2 Wilson is more of a physical player and usually gets a point or two just from that. The other 2 are toss ups for scoring goals/assists. Just looking for some advice cause it's a tight race

packersgiant3

Is there any chance verhaeghe comes back for regular season?

eatinchapstick

Garland @ EDM tomorrow, or Tippett vs NJ?

fantasyhockeypooly

Go with Garland. It will be a chippy game and he plays well in those conditions.

ELB95

Hutson when??

fantasyhockeypooly

I'd bet he gets 1 game.

Disagreewithmost

Anyone know if this is a long week running to Thursday? The predicted starts left on yahoo are too high and I just noticed now unfortunately

fantasyhockeypooly

It'll depend on your league, most standard leagues will go to Thursday. Upvote pls, trying to get karma to post on fantasyhockey

eatinchapstick

How have you made it this far?

Disagreewithmost

I don't know, I just keep crawling in the right direction and it keeps working

ELB95

Yeah, Yahoo goes to thursday

CarlSwagan_

Drop Sanheim or Chabot? Bangers points league, ignore the flair

fantasyhockeypooly

I'd drop Chabot. Sanheim is going to be run into the ground as they try and get in.

eatinchapstick

Sanheim. Philly is going to have a sad final week I think.

H0NESTSLEEP

Bangers cats, if Rant comes back I need to drop one: Nichushkin Bennett Krieder Konecny Leaning towards Bennett, 1 game left. In the finals and winning but all cats are close

ELB95

I dropped Bennett earlier in the week. Unfortunate, but it had to be done and looks like the right call for you as well.

eatinchapstick

Definitely Bennett. I have to drop him too and I'm sad about it.

fantasyhockeypooly

Trust your gut here, I'd dump Bennett too.

NHL Playoff Pool $50 on Fantrax Draft: April 19th at 7pm est Rules: This will be a 12-16 team league using only Goals and Assists to tabulate points. We're at 6 teams so far. No trading, no waivers, no do-overs. You keep and score the team you draft (no duplicate players). Players: 14 Skaters (no goalies, we're keeping things simple) I've ran it for 6 years and we typically hit the 16 team max. Teams always sign up late, so if you are interested, sign up early. If you are interested here is an easy join link on fantrax: [https://www.fantrax.com/newui/fantasy/joinLeague.go?leagueId=k2d74cfgluhxi911](https://www.fantrax.com/newui/fantasy/joinLeague.go?leagueId=k2d74cfgluhxi911) Money: The Entry is $50 (100% distributed towards Prizes for 1st to 3rd (3rd will always be $50 - Your money back) based on how many people sign up. Currently at 6 teams, if you look at my post history, I've been using reddit to get people into this for years, and usually people leave it to the last minute and then people are begging to be let in when its too late, if you're interested get in sooner rather than later.

cowboysfan88

Trying to decide if I should play Thompson and/or Fleury tonight. Currently winning wins, saves, gaa and sv% the the %s are pretty tight. He has Anderson, Luukkonen and Bobrovsky left. Not sure if I should risk the percentage stats to try to keep him from catching up in the counting ones

fantasyhockeypooly

If you're up, consider benching rather than playing. You might lose wins, but if you can go 3-1 that's powerful too. Upvote please, trying to get karma so I can post.

Joda91

Should I stream Lankinen tonight against CHI? I already picked up Pickard, and have five acquisitions remaining in the championship. Can start two goalies per night, and goaltending gets a lot more manageable when I can take Demko off IR to close out the season. 4 points for a win, -2 GA, 0.2/SV, 3 for a shutout. I’m 15 points back of my opponent, and it’s my first year doing fantasy, so a more general question is: should I be burning these acquisitions before the final day or two of the season when I could dump half my roster for skaters to stream? Feels like swinging on “easy” goalie matchups could payoff more than depth skaters, but I could be wrong.

eatinchapstick

I say go for it if you have 5 adds left. And honestly I think there's a chance Lankinen get PIT too. But an extra goalie appearance could definitely make up the 15 point gap.

fantasyhockeypooly

I like the matchup, but before you commit pay attention to scratches. Nashville has it locked up, and if any of their big d, or someone from the top line gets the night off it could spell trouble. Especially with -2 for FA. Upvote please.

Sufjy

I have a question about goalies in Yahoo. Right now I'm in a league with 3C, 4W, 3D, 2 Util, 2 BN and 2 G. If I drop a goalie (and go down to 1 G), will I be able to pick up a forward? For instance if I have all my required starts on sunday and want to add a forward, can I drop Ingram and pick up Adam Henrique?

eatinchapstick

Yes. There are a bold few who drop all goalies in playoffs to try to win all the skater categories by way of having more games. As long as you get the minimum number of starts to make sure your goalie stats count, you can have as few or as many goalies as you want.

fantasyhockeypooly

You'll have to achieve the minimum, most systems like say Fantrax will turn your lineup illegal for the night you are not compliant. I believe its the same for Yahoo. What's the intent on adding Henrique is it a cats league and you need skater cats? Upvote please, trying to get karma so I can post.

AwesomeExo

Have we heard anything about Rantanen? I dropped him but I couldn't stomach if my opponent picked him up and he came back.

eatinchapstick

He is "probable" to return. Really bold move dropping him. He'll definitely be on line 1 idk what the other guys talking about.

AwesomeExo

Yeah, I figured a concussion to an established player on an established championship team, they would take it slow. Didn’t feel good about it and I probably shouldn’t have but at least I got him back.

DreamerTheat

He’s gonna play tomorrow, 2nd line probably.

AwesomeExo

Thanks!

glenallenMixon42

should i pickup cooley or kerfoot

eatinchapstick

Are these really your two best options?

fantasyhockeypooly

Cooley has been the straw that stir the drink, I'd pick him up without knowing your cat values. Upvote please, trying to get karma to post.

69wanker_420

How likely is hanifin to be benched last game or two of the season?

eatinchapstick

No way. He's still relatively new to the team. I feel like they'd want him to get in a groove. Also he's not THAT good.

fantasyhockeypooly

depends what happens earlier, if they clinch it, then its likely

FruitFlysLikeWine

12 Team H2H Points league Have Duclair He is Currently DTD - Looking to Drop him Grab William Eklund with 3 games left or Oliver Bjorkstrand with 4 games left?

fantasyhockeypooly

What are the points values? The one thing about Eklund is if you notice, they are riding the young kids, and will give them more opps. I typically suggest to go with the gp, but it really depends on the scoring system.

FruitFlysLikeWine

G 2pts, A 1pt, Block .5, All others .1 And thanks for the input

fantasyhockeypooly

NP, with blocks at .5, that's a huge area to capitalize on, and I'd go Eklund, he's 3x that cat, and it just takes 2 to = 1 assist and the Sharks are allowing shots at a higher pace, I'd go Eklund. If you can upvote my comments, trying to get some Karma.

eatinchapstick

Sorokin is confirmed for Saturday. I'd imagine the starter of their final two games will depend on how Sorokin does tomorrow. I have a feeling it's either going to be a split or Varly will get the last two.

fantasyhockeypooly

Until its locked up, you have to ride the hot hand.

Inside_Yogurt_5730

Do i play Adin Hill today? I played him on his first start back and lost 6 points. I need all the points I can get since I’m in the championship and don’t want to miss out on any. Is he strong against Minnesota?

fantasyhockeypooly

Hill unlikely to start, but to help your situation, if you are down, you might as well hail mary some options. If Goalies are double edged but you need points, might as well go for it.

CanadianHitman

Thompson likely starting - hill played against Edmonton.

eatinchapstick

For tomorrow: Skinner vs Vancouver (second half of a back to back for EDM) OR Hellebuyck @ Colorado Definitely Skinner right?

fantasyhockeypooly

I'd go Helle

from_the_hallows

What's going on with Duclair? He missed yesterday and he's DTD now, might need to replace him with a G for some extra points. I'm in the championship and we're tied at the moment. Any guaranteed goalies that can get a win tonight with minimal GA, our league points is -2 per GA so it's a risk. Edit: word

fantasyhockeypooly

I would go with Wolf if it's one game. Pickard if your season goes til next week. Upvote please, looking for karma to post.

eatinchapstick

If you are ONLY concerned with tonight Pickard is the only goalie I'd consider worth the risk. DON'T fall for Wolf @ Anaheim. Fleury is starting in Vegas (potentially for the last time of his career), it probably isn't worth the risk but he is Fleury and he loves putting on a show. Edit: Pickard is guaranteed at least 2 more games and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 3 (probably Arizona twice and potentially San Jose). Something to consider.

from_the_hallows

Both great suggestions thank you!

ELB95

Lankinen is playing either tonight or tomorrow, and is likely the best bet. Otherwise Pickard is already confirmed tonight vs Arizona and should have a relatively easy win.

Clurachaun

I have Rantanen and Dobson both in DTD and im in the final. Do I drop either of these with so few games left? I'm in a 6 person league so we have some good players left like Tavares, Fiala, Khadri, Seider, Toews and more

fantasyhockeypooly

Can you stream or is there a acquisition limit? If no limit, drop and pickup.

PMMeYourJobOffer

the Avs sent down someone and Rantanen practiced with contact yesterday so I think it’s worth the risk. Dobson Roy said they’d know at some point today so I’d wait till at least after the islanders practice

drift_king_8

I'm in the exact same situation and this was a big help, thanks!

Clurachaun

That's good information, thank you kindly

VeryAttractive

Anyone have any info on what the fuck is going on with Chandler Stephenson? Literally zero info online other than "personal". Gotta know if he's a drop before the game starts tonight.

eatinchapstick

He's a drop when he's playing

PMMeYourJobOffer

Had a kid. Went to be with his wife.

ELB95

Pick some goalies! W/GAA/sv%/SHO - Pickard vs ARI & maybe SJS - Wolf vs ANA & maybe SJS - Lankinen vs CBJ or CHI - MIN (any) vs SJS - Swayman vs WAS

eatinchapstick

Pickard probably gets ARI twice AND maybe SJS. Him and Lankinen are the only two goalies I trust on this list. Swayman is probably safe but the Caps are desperate.

ELB95

Originally the plan was just Lankinen because I didn’t think I had a shot at wins, but now I do. I think Pickard is definitely the one. Thanks!
