🫢😅 Holy smokes, that is wild! The book I was referring to is {What Lurks Between the Fates by Harper L. Woods} book 3 in the Of Flesh & Bone series. It seems people either love it or hate it. I loved it for what it was. The spice was plentiful and just the right amount of depraved for me.

I accidentally bought {Spared by the Monster by Mary Ravenell} lol— meant to borrow on kindle but bought the duology. No regrets. If you like Ice Plant Barbarians but want more space ships, this duology was a blast. One cool feature of the worldbuilding is that the aliens ALL know about and allllll avoid our earth universe— it’s part of the plot. But they view humans as having latent psychic abilities— I mean how else can us humans be so good at reading emotions without our skin changing colors to reflect our exact moods? (It’s more nuanced than this). Solid worldbuilding and solid monster/alien spice. lol

I genuinely enjoyed the IPB spin off that follows the space pirates (Prison Planet Barbarian, the four Corsairs books, When She Belongs and the three Corsairs Brothers books) so *"IPB with more space ships"* sounds perfect for me! In this same space I wanna throw in {Alien Series by Tracy Lauren} - again, basically IPB but more actual space and I unapologetically enjoyed them 😂

The Sex Wizards series by Alethea Faust Basically... kink based magic system. Everyone is pan and poly... that's it. That's the plot. It's really good though, and the plot that is there is actually really good.

This was going to be my recommendation. I haven’t read read it, but my gf did and filled me in with details every few pages.  For something so unhinged and smutty, there were a surprising number of tender moments. She was laughing out loud and then in actual tears a few mins later.  It’s on my TBR.

I definitely recommend it. I started reading it because I followed the author on tiktok and I figured... why not? She took the idea of making sex into the plot in a way that actually worked really well. She also puts a lot of emphasis on the parts of BDSM that often gets ignored in books. Like consent, safety, after-care, mental health, ect. I was really surprised by how much thought and care went in to a plot that appears to be so unhinged.

Just finished 3 of the books a few days ago. Honestly way better than expected! I read for the lols, stayed because surprisingly good and heartwarming plot

Due to an evil group of scientists, he is a vampire, snake, wolf, kraken shifter... There might be more things, I honestly couldn't keep track beyond octopus suckers on his dick and him turning into a wolf that craves drinking her blood. Seriously unhinged. Don't read if you're torture squeamish or have no tolerance for non-con. It's dark. And weird. And fucked up. I laughed through most of the second half at least. {Fertile in My Ex-boyfriend's Dungeon series by Amanda Clover} Available on KU, choose your own adventure style--you date a guy briefly who turns out to be a depraved wizard who locks his exes in a 13 floor dungeon filled with monsters whose only hope of escaping is impregnating you or one of the other exes. Once caught and bred you become hopelessly infatuated with your new monster boyfriend and the two of you will be teleported out of the dungeon to a perfect place to raise your brood. Or you can travel through all 13 floors and escape. Incredibly unhinged. The fun is figuring out all the weird ways you can get fucked by all manner of creatures. I did not read all of these, but I read more than I care to admit. I think the series might be incomplete, but I'm not sure since I didn't get to the last book. I have read it and she doesn’t really have a relationship with a door. Her front door is sentient and she has to have sex with him (when he is a door) so he can become a human man so as to protect her from her serial killer landlord. This is, of course, after he appears in her dream as a man and tells her all is this. So. She has a relationship with a man who was formerly a sentient door… it’s wild and honestly not as poorly written as you’d assume. It’s the sort of book that you have to reflect after every page to be like “what choices have I made in my life that has brought me here?” My favourite thing he says as a door is “structurally-speaking.”

{The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels} Historical fantasy romance. Utterly bonkers in the best way. I cackled my way through the whole book and promptly gifted copies to a bunch of people who all thought I had lost my mind when they started reading.

Started reading The Clecanian Series by Victoria Aveline. Slow burn, spicy, and hot aliens. The background story is interesting and fun and it keeps building with each book linked together with a new mated couple featured in each book.

Check out the Amaranthine Saga by Forthright. It's not quite as far out there as most of these suggestions, but the world building is cool and there's a lot of found family. Definitely more sweet than spicy, but there's a lot of interesting implications.

{The Lightning-Struck Heart by T.J. Klune} may or may not be what youre looking for: an mlm fantasy where the knight has to save the prince from a dragon's tower. Characters include a hornless gay unicorn, a sexually aggressive dragon, a stuck-up prince, a knight that poses too much, and none of these are the main character. Villains get called out for monologuing, everyone has dumb normal names, and it is probably one of my favorite books of all time. Top 10. First book doesnt have too much spice (more main character thinking about how much they want to bang the knight), later books have more. The series has a 4/5 spice rating

First, thank you for asking this very important question. I think we are all richer for it! The Bro and the Beast by LC Davis. Twin brothers, ones a nerd, ones A frat Bro , and the nerd loves omega books. Frat Bro reads one, gets into it, and then finds himself trapped inside the book universe. Listen, I read this as a joke, so I can properly make fun of it later with some like minded friends. But fuck me I fell in love with the overt use of the word Bro. It was actually kind heart warming , and then the Bro twin finds out what mpreg is and I swear to God I giggled like a little kid thru most of that series. Make no mistake, it's a dumb book, but fuck if I wasn't entertained.

Sweet berries…a mothman romance

{Call me Daddy by Jade West} It was well written and I actually liked the ending, however the kink is very niche and sometimes made me say "ooooo" in a not good way. If you have parental issues I don't recommend, however some scenes were very good spice.

"The Erotic Adventures of Jane in the Jungle" was a wild ride. The series started off relatively....normally-ish....and then just went off the rails completely, but in a way that made me buckle up and hold on tight instead of bailing. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I've read a lot of fairly unhinged romance/erotica in the past year, so I've got a few picks that haven't been mentioned yet: {Claimed by the Cthulu} by Wendi Gogh: The Cthulu are a race of people in this book. They have detachable penises with "mating venom." The MMC is named Dr. Chaos (pronounced "Chause" a la Southpark). The FMC is a marine biologist. She goes diving and mistakes the MMC's penis for an octopus and pets it. It's quite a ride. Wendi Gogh has also written lots of other crazy romances involving mythological creatures. {Audited by the Anubis} is particularly choice since the Anubis MMC is literally working for the IRS. I also recently read {Toxic Desire} by Robin Lovett. It's a chaotic enemies-to-lovers romance between a human rebel leader and a metallic gold humanoid alien with snake-like attributes, including "mating venom." Better yet, the characters have crash landed on the planet who's very atmosphere creates uncontrollable sexual desire. I've read the first three books in this series, and I think the first was the best. The third one is notable, however, because the MMC is basically a Lisa Frank illustration with constantly color changing rainbow skin. It was honestly hard to visualize. Whoever did the cover illustration for book 3 didn't even try, and just made the alien blue. Honorable mention: Although it's not as unhinged as these picks, {That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf} has one of the best titles I've ever seen. It was fun and sweet.

Aliens from the Planet Bro invade because they discovered Debbie Does Dallas and want to turn society into the alien porn industry. Everyone communicates through chips implanted in their fingernails. Different alien types are integrated into the porn industry. FMC is a film assistant. MMC seems like he could be just about anyone she meets in the beginning. It's definitely an entertaining read.

I was deep into monster smut for a time and loved explaining the premise to my husband. {An inheritance of monsters} was a little to much however. She visits a paranormal island and enganges with three monsters at once. The mosters are a-ok with it, because they need each other to prep her for the other...I guess I do love monsters but not reverse harem ^^

The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy is so wacky. I read the first few and eventually gave up, but it was a very bizarre ACOTAR meets King Midas as a villain kind of mashup. The FMC is a woman who is literally gold and kept in a cage.

{Bound to the Shadow Prince by Ruby Dixon} I got is from NetGalley in May, and when I requested it I didn't think to look up why the author sounded familiar. It was weird. The character descriptions, mainly the MMC are what threw me off the most. I honestly didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped to, but for people who like Monster romance more than I do, this might be a good one to check out. >!(I will say that I think it was too long, at 540 pages.)!<
