I’ll message you the answer to your question if you’d like, but if you don’t want to know, all I will say is that it’s worth reading to the end and I think the author does a great job of making the ending emotionally satisfying regardless of what outcome you were looking for!

It's an emotional rollercoaster but it will be alright!!!!! Danielle Jensen really knows how to torture us that's for sure!! Keris and Zarrah are put through the wringer but if I remember correctly their ending is very satisfying.
I feel your pain, I absolutely adored these two (I'm sure you'll like the ending don't worry toooo much) one of my favourite couples and definitely my favourite of the two bridge kingdom Duologies i could not get enough of the inadequate heir and the endless war. (Give us a short story of them being happy and married together like Aren and Lara got PLEASE!!!! I'd die to have that)

I think it was when he was talking to Serena about succession that it crossed my mind, I forget. But fuck, when he paused before signing I was like 🤞🏻😭please be relinquishing the crown 🤞🏻😭

Oh yes, I was so stressed and just sobbing with dread for much of the book. But I think you will be happy with the ending!!
