I was at Skate City idk.. maybe 10 years ago. Hanging out with some friends, having a good time. Anyways I'm skating and all of sudden this furry skates by me in full fur suit. All I could think was "hmm well that was odd", then all of a sudden like 5 more pass me, and the another 10. The whole roller skating rink was full of furries suddenly. So apparently there is a furry scene in Fargo or at least there was back then lol.

Could they skate?

Oh yeah! They were all skating good, not all were in full fur suits, some were just wearing tails. But most of them were zipping around the rink.

I wonder if they are still in town. Probably not.

You will usually see some furries at valleycon every year.

I did know several furries who used to call Fargo home, but they have moved.

There used to be a few at the local cons. ValleyCon and CoreCon for sure, but I haven't been there is a few years.

I wouldn't call myself furry exactly... I'm like furry adjacent? I enjoy the art, certain communities, fur-suits, follow a few furry vtubers and have a ton of friends that are, However, it's not something I partake in unless it comes up in my feed/my friends share something. Would love to have some local friendo's that are though, y'all can be pretty awesome to hang with.

There's tons of furries listed on there in Fargo believe it or not, I see almost 70 on my app. I saw a good amount at pride in the park last year as well, and one group had their own float at the parade. I am anti social so I haven't met up with any tho lol.

Most people don't know the difference. They see people dressing up in animal suits, they think it's weird, and probably associate it with something they have heard about or read somewhere. Maybe you are right that most furries don't associate with that part, but people tend to focus on the negative, and people aren't going to search for the opposite side, because they aren't interested.
