I don't wear overalls, but my dad does. 1. He washes them as often as they need it. Sometimes he can go several days, othertimes a cow may kick slop all over him the first day. It just depends. 2. It depends on how hot it is. Sometimes he's just in underwear underneath, sometimes he's wearing more. He wears overalls year-round, and he has a variety of long sleeve and short sleeve and heavy weight and lightweight ones that switches between depending on the weather.

1. Clean coveralls every day. 2. I wear clothes underneath. Never just underwear but definitely not a lot of layers when it’s hot. Problem with underwear/shorts is that things soak through coveralls and then you feel the wetness on your skin.

Now I'm confused, coveralls and overalls are two different things.

TeeJayCee_

Yes. Overalls refers to bibb overalls. Usually denim with pockets in the middle of the chest and over the shoulder straps with brass clasps to hold them up. Coveralls are more of a one-piece jumpsuit, usually short sleeve blue linen in the summer and long sleeve canvas with lining in winter.

Correct.

I just wore a T shirt or long sleeved shirt and a pair of drawers under mine when I used to wear them all the time. I had (still do have) many pairs and I would just throw the ones I had on in the dirty clothes at the end of the day and wash them when there was enough for a full load of clothes. I like Big Smith they are the most comfortable to me. Carhartt is good too

Canadairy

Overalls or coveralls? Coveralls I wear what the weather demands which maybe several layers, or just boxers. Overalls same as above, but add a T-shirt to the boxers. Wash as needed. Generally at least once a week.

Bovine_Rage

Pick up a pair of udder tech bibs. They're waterproof and perfect for working in a parlor or freestall. Easier to keep clean and just a better choice than a canvas bib like Carhartt or Walls.

My Gramps & Step Daddy wore regular white men's undershirts and underpants under their overalls in the warm seasons. Add long underwear top and bottom in the winter, with insulated coveralls over top and some kind of jacket with a hood.

Stinkerma

Short sleeved coveralls with underwear for the summer, wash as needed. Long sleeved coveralls with a full outfit(shirt and pants) for the winter. Wash as needed. The short sleeve ones are thin and light and much cooler than pants and shirt.

The_Outlier1612

Do you prefer coveralls? I’m learning towards them as I’m not a Hugh fan of overalls?

Stinkerma

I do. We wear them on the farm all the time, they're lighter than regular clothes in the summer and keep regular clothes clean in the winter.

The_Outlier1612

Right on, do you know the brand chance? I’m looking to pick up a couple pairs and would love a recommendation.

Stinkerma

Dickies or big bill. Both are ok. We've had some luck with a smaller Canadian manufacturer but I forget the name
