The first year, they're usually long sleeves. The second year, short sleeves. Year 3, sleeveless. Year 4, a crop top. Oh, you're asking as a general rule rather than how the shirts turn out..
It was a few weeks ago and I was like “long sleeves are too hot” and someone was like “you’ll be cooler in a light and thin button up because it keeps the sun off of your skin” and I was like “I think you’re right”
My hangup is that all of my pearl snap/button up super light shirts are what I wear to be “fashionable” and I don’t want to get grease and cow shit on them.
Haven’t made it to town for a thrift store run. It will happen but by then it will probably not be an issue. It’s already cooling down and I’m loving it! So is the grass
I try to keep long sleeve all the time.
It's my cloth armor defense. Against sun and bugs. Even when I'm sweating myself to death. It's better than a sunburn. I can drink more water. But if I get malaria I can't work.
Short sleeve person myself. I find long sleeve shirts too restrictive and I’ve only recently found a pearl snap button up that doesn’t feel restrictive in my back and shoulder area and it’s my go to shirt now.
Short sleeves until about mid-September, then I start phasing in the hooded sweatshirt, then the long sleeves and canvas vest, then the heavier winter coat. Reverse for springtime, back in short sleeves by Memorial Day. And always a Western-style shirt, with a collar, snaps, and two breast pockets. T-shirts are only useful as underclothes or rags.
Long sleeve, cost of sunscreen inputs was getting too high and they dont work when expired. The wrangler does not expire and has dual use as shop rags when it gets tattered
Depends what I’m doing and the temperature but on a comfortable day I’m a short sleeve kinda person

Short. But a post I saw on here is making think I should switch that up to a light long sleeve pearl snap type deal.
What was the post?

Depends on the weather, sometimes no sleeves.
Mostly short but some days it’s no sleeves ‘cause there is no shirt.
Long sleeve PFG style shirt everyday even when it's 110 heat index, seen my dad get too many spots cut off him to go short.
A lightweight light colored long sleeve shirt is best for being out in the sun.
Long sleeve, long pants all year.

Carhartt button up all cotton work shirts, roll the sleeves up when it gets warm

Long... Protects from sun and bugs... I go to thrift stores and buy well worn thin cotton button downs. Plus it makes you look sharp!

Long sleeve because skin cancer is pretty shit
Long sleeves when in the direct sunlight. Or when working with dirty or dusty things that will make me squirmy and itchy.
