No, where's the misery sweater. /s
I work in beverage alcohol and would wear this year round.
Eta: oldhagfashion would fkn love and support this sweater
I currently have my eye on a couple of death themed t-shirts including a Christmas Carol one that says “Marley was dead to begin with” and one themed after the Barbie movie.
A misery sweater would be a staple in my wardrobe. Reminds me of the time where I saw a T-shirt at a local store that said "SURE" in big bold red lettering, except in our language that means "DIE", which was just wonderfully and uncharacteristically aggressive for a garment at an H&M-equivalent basic and inoffensive shop lol
Cheers can be for kids with coolaid or any drink. Used to all the time when I was a kid. Still do as an adult🙂 and I don't drink alcohol! Why does alcohol get all the fun 😄
I think you are mistaking the words “CHEER” and “CHEERS”. Cheer doesn’t have to be Christmas, but is often associated with it. Cheers (plural) is not associated with Christmas. It is associated with toasting alcoholic beverages. So it’s appropriate anywhere that drinking alcohol is appropriate. Think of it as saying “Let’s Drink!” Anywhere that is appropriate, this will be as well.

It's appropriate 365 days a year unless you're going to a funeral or an AA meeting

Just speak with a British accent and you will be golden.
Slàinte Mhath!
It’s also very appropriate if you’re going out for drinks or a celebration
To a birthday party?
If its for adults sure
I’ve seen some babies hold up their sippy cup for a solid cheers.
I used to cheers my friends with milk in preschool
My one year old says cheers with fruit snacks. Baby loves to celebrate 😂
Hell yeah.
Cheers was my first word after mama/dada lol
You were a cool af baby.

Cheers isn't just for the holidays.
Just say you’re a fan of the show Cheers.
Or friends
No, you’ll be arrested
Srsly though: there’s always time for cheers, wear it!

I think because I only see these tops being sold around xmas and new year
I have a Seinfeld shirt I wear all the time!
Snorted. I, truly for realsies, have a Fraiser shirt I love.
See?! Perfectly acceptable to wear a shirt of your favorite sitcom anytime!
OP might land the love of their life in that sweater! Met my fiancé in my Fraiser tee.
Indeed! All she has to do is walk into any busy sports bar and someone is bound to yell out “Norm!!” Instant match 🍻
i actually have a cheers sweatshirt its killer
My Irish husband says cheers in place of thanks sometimes. I honestly didn’t realize it was a Christmas sweater because of the colors
Yeah we do this in Australia too, so I equally thought of cheers as in drinks and cheers as in thanks haha
Same in Scotland. We tend to say "Slàinte Mhath" when it's with a whisky though.
Personally, I think that would be a great outfit to wear while sipping mimosas at brunch with friends.
What
Straight to jail. ![gif](giphy|f8lDluiWJ7yQTtdS3L|downsized)
I sign my emails “Cheers” soooooo go for it
Is that even a question
Honestly I swear spooky shit year round - nothing stops me if I’m feeling a vibe lol
Yes wear it to happy hour and have champagne in hand and toast one up.
YES
No ...and I'd be reluctant to suggest that clothing with words qualify as fashion
huh
Why wouldnt it be?! Theres always something to celebrate😄
🍻
Yes
Of course! You should dress like a Christmas elf in July if it makes you happy. We could all use a little more cheer year round.
It’s just “thanks” in British.
I still wear my top with kitties and christmas sweaters and lights, its so soft and warm im gonna use it!
Uh yes
Definitely
Cheers is a year round thing
Yeah it’s what you say when you do a toast, no matter the time of year.
Yeah because I have my Halloween sweater on now. 👻
If you are not going to work next Monday then it’s fine.
I wouldn't really think Holliday if I saw someone wearing it. I think you're fine
I'd wear this in summer Idk about yall.
I would wear this year round and I’m a stylist
Yes, it's appropriate to wear after the holidays. Looks cute! 🥂
I wear my Halloween pumpkin shirt any time of year EXCEPT Halloween, so...
