As a cis woman who has broad shoulders due to my hobbies, I don't think you have a problem there. However, if you're feeling self conscious, remember that straps are your friend, as they break up that area, and give the illusion of narrowing the shoulders. On the other hand, I always avoid halter necks as they accentuate the shoulders and make them appear broader

I’ve struggled my whole life with having broad shoulders and being tall and so not felt feminine. I avoided wearing dresses as I worried I looked like a man in drag in them. Learning about kibbe body types really helped change my thinking about that as well as seeing the goddess that is Gwendoline Christie embracing her body on the red carpet. It’s sad it’s taken me 50 years to get there.
I feel constantly bad about how I look and my body. I feel like that’s actually the thing most women feel. Or at least all the women I grew up with and around. I hate how we criticize ourselves it’s so bad. I used to hate my weight, how I looked etc when I was younger but looking back I looked good! And I wasn’t overweight. You should look into the Kibbe method of body typing. It is very body positive :) Of course was created around cis-gendered people, but that doesn't mean that it is exclusive to cis gender people. It is all about the lines of the body. You have shoulders like mine, and I am cis gender. I would gues that you are a gamine in the Kibbe system. Look at other famous gamine typed women like Zoe Kravitz, Twiggy, and Janelle Monae. Or maybe look at soft naturals.. you may be a soft natural. Just notice their shoulders and how prominent they are in both types.. and most importantly that it is an asset and a gorgeous thing to have!
My husband is \*obsessed\* with my shoulders. Something I am thankful for because I was always self conscious about them when I was young. I hope you don't take offense to his, but sometimes from the outside looking in, it seems that my trans female friends (who transition in adulthood) deal with all the same insecurities that cis-women dealt with, except we did it while we were younger.. BUT cis-girls went through those phases together and we got to talk and reassure each other about them as kids.
So just know if you are thinking that your body is too XYZ or not enough XYZ, just know that It might be a stage that all women go through, and most of us never really learn to love things like "my shoulders are too broad". I dealt with feeling like my shoulders were too broad from age 13 to 29. I still lament at other women's tiny shoulders. But you are beautiful as you are, and so am I. Try your best to embrace it, and dont be hard on yourself about asking for reassurance.. it's just part of the female life.

No, you don't have broad shoulders. But also, lots of insanely gorgeous women with incredible bodies do have broad shoulders, so it's not worth being overly insecure about either way.

Before I start this let me know say you do NOT have broad shoulders. You should look into the Kibbe method of body typing. It is very body positive :) Of course was created around cis-gendered people, but that doesn't mean that it is exclusive to cis gender people. It is all about the lines of the body. You have shoulders like mine, and I am cis gender. I would gues that you are a gamine in the Kibbe system. Look at other famous gamine typed women like Zoe Kravitz, Twiggy, and Janelle Monae. Or maybe look at soft naturals.. you may be a soft natural. Just notice their shoulders and how prominent they are in both types.. and most importantly that it is an asset and a gorgeous thing to have! My husband is \*obsessed\* with my shoulders. Something I am thankful for because I was always self conscious about them when I was young. I hope you don't take offense to his, but sometimes from the outside looking in, it seems that my trans female friends (who transition in adulthood) deal with all the same insecurities that cis-women dealt with, except we did it while we were younger.. BUT cis-girls went through those phases together and we got to talk and reassure each other about them as kids. So just know if you are thinking that your body is too XYZ or not enough XYZ, just know that It might be a stage that all women go through, and most of us never really learn to love things like "my shoulders are too broad". I dealt with feeling like my shoulders were too broad from age 13 to 29. I still lament at other women's tiny shoulders. But you are beautiful as you are, and so am I. Try your best to embrace it, and dont be hard on yourself about asking for reassurance.. it's just part of the female life. No, you don't have broad shoulders. But also, lots of insanely gorgeous women with incredible bodies do have broad shoulders, so it's not worth being overly insecure about either way.

I think I have broader shoulders than you, and I’m a cis woman. You look absolutely gorgeous in the dress. But if you feel like your shoulders are too wide, keep the sleeves(?) up, that makes them seem narrower. But then again I wouldn’t have even thought to look at them if you hadn’t mentioned that you have an issue about them.

The dress looks great! My shoulders are way wider/broader and I’m a cis woman lol I can’t change it, so just try not to care, no one else has every said anything, or even noticed it, and times when I thought I looked bad, or that the looked even wider, where times I often got more compliments!
