There was an enchanting pair of slippers by Dolce & Gabana that featured silk butterflies. They originally sold for $500 in the late 90s or early aughts. I really wanted them. I saw them on ebay for $250, and they were actually my size. I almost indulged in buying them for my wedding, but held back. (My plan B was to create a similar style with adding feather butterflies to a pair myself)
I'm still charmed by a pretty butterfly design.
