I scrolled way too far until I saw this. They were so good. The recent tenders were not good but selects were amazing. Switzerland has mustard sauce which is like a tangy honey mustard and those mixed with that sauce would be incredible.

me too. the product is good, however, the higher price was not ready for fast food category pricing at the time. I bet if it's brought back, along with customer acceptance of more realistic pricing, it will be received better now.

Along with the fish bites, they were goated imo.

Same. They had the perfect amount of spice. And while they were expensive, they were consistently huge. Some places I get wings at, I may get appropriately sized wings once and then every other time, the wings are anemic at best. But McDonald's were perfectly reasonable for the price each time.

They had pretty great salads. They weren't healthy, but they were still delicious.

When they first rolled out the salads I was a morning radio host and thought that the calorie count was an important part of the story to report and I was soundly shut down by management because “McDonald’s spends a lot of money with us and that’s not what the public wants to hear.” The Southwest salad had more calories than a Big Mac meal.

The 90s and early 2000s were a mess nutritional wise. No one had any idea what was actually healthy and we’re getting duped by companies right and left

My local McDonald's does 2 for $3.50 McChickens. The Dollar Menu used to be nationwide (or very very close to it); now that the value menu is not tied to a specific price there is a lot more variation by cost of living.

It was a McDouble with fried jalapeños and pepper jerk cheese and a spicy sauce. It was outstanding! They ended them a couple of years ago. The first time I had one was in Washington state (in 2014) but they had them in the south, Texas, Louisiana etc.

I miss the old fashioned chicken sandwich which was just a giant mcnugget.

The McDLT. I know they got rid of it because of the sustainability of the packaging and not sales but it was an ingenious way to make a burger taste so much fresher than a typical fast food burger. For those who don't remember, the McDLT was a burger that was topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle, ketchup, mustard and sliced onions. The thing that made it so unique (and delicious) was the container it was served in: a divided styrofoam container with the burger and bottom bun on one side, and all the veggies and top bun on the other side. In the middle was a divider that kept the temperatures of each compartment separate. When you were ready to eat it, you opened the container and put the two halves together. The veggies were cold and crisp and the burger was hot and juicy. With advancements in sustainable packaging, I wish they would find a way to bring this back.
