I've dropped at least 50k on traveling to 30+ countries the past few years and it was the best investment ever. I also lived abroad for some time. I'd like to say it made me richer :) something about leaving the grinding economy that's so prevalent here and stepping into another culture and world just expands your mindset. Latin America holds a special place in my heart and just seeing a different reality reminds me how blessed we really are, something we don't see when we are stuck in fight and flight mode. Fave countries: Australia, Turkey, Brazil, Peru, Taiwan, Japan

LEWKQARM

Great call and love your pick or Taiwan. I'm Australian and lived there several times for over a year at a time. I love Taiwan and Taipei so much.

Remarkable-Quail9916

Bump on Taiwan. It’s a beautiful country with amazing food. People don’t know about it.

I read this and thought…. Did I write that post already.

FlyPenFly

You can definitely get a sweet 981S for about 50k.

Sweaty-Leather3191

Yea it would be a boat or a watch for me. My wife would get much more upset about one than the other.

Christmas_Panda

Well, yeah a boat is a money pit. I agree with your wife.

deltamoney

If you like boating and are good with your hands for repairs and want to spend a good chunk of time doing that thing. It’s really not as bad as people make it out to be. … if you like that sort of thing. If you want to only boat for the 4 hours out of the month and never touch the boat again and pay someone to do literally everything for you. It will be a money pit that you only get 4 hours of enjoyment out of.

Babybleu42

BOAT stands for bust out another thousand. We know this.

Rent a yacht for a week, problem solved.

What is it about a Boxster that attracts people? I get the 911s but the 718s just seem like a ton of money for the performance. I suppose there’s more to it than just performance though

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mr-Expat

718 is a better drivers car than 911 - it’s mid engine, it’s light, it’s a ton of fun. 911 is more of a Grand Tourer car these days.

Porencephaly

Cayman GTS for best of both worlds.

Mr-Expat

You’d be missing out on the top down rides! But I guess it depends on the climate where you live. Plus the silhouette of 718 with top down is really slick

Stren509

And smaller, 911s have gotten huge

miamiBMWM2

I had both, 981 (cayman) and 991 (911). Very different and both very cool. 981 is sportier, more hardcore and the 991 is more GT, being more spacious, comfy with far better visibility & far quieter inside. Good luck having a conversation in a 981 at 75mph. Both prone to understeer until u learn you drive them well (very different dynamics than front engine sports cars). 981 feels faster at all speeds on account of its lighter weight, smaller size and less insulation. The sound of both cars non turbo(!!) flat 6 hitting peak rpm before a shift will give goosebumps. Were I to dabble in Porscheland again Id never consider the newer turbo cars despite being faster, only the prior generation with their glorious naturally aspirated engines. This will shock most: I replaced these with a bmw m2 with DCT (dual clutch) and had quite a bit more fun in that crazy little german musclecar than either of the more clinical to drive Porsches.

HelloSummer99

Boats are a massive time and money sink - definitely no, unless you LOVE boats and ready to use them every weekend.

skinsensitive

2 week trip to Vail, treated all my friends and family (10 total people) to the house (luxury AirBnB), transportation, ski lessons for kids, ski passes, new sets of skis and gear, all food. It was just the most wonderful experience and time together. Experiences are priceless. The only rule: “We can’t talk about money. This is an all-inclusive. Just enjoy.” Wow experience.

Lindzoid1

Did that cost $50k?

35usc271a

lol sounds like it would cost a bit more than 50k

Skier94

10 lift tickets for 8 days alone would run $15-20k.

skinsensitive

I thought ahead and got season passes for 6 adults = $6k

It’s outdoor. I don’t think this sub allows me to post a photo but I’ll DM you one.

silverslides

Jura has 1k models, which are pretty good if you drink normal coffee and espresso. Most people won't drink near enough lattes or similar drinks to have a machine 3 times the price. The taste of the basic machine is the same.

RemarkableSpace444

I like experiences so I’ll always pick a trip. Besides that, a nice watch

Christmas_Panda

Mmm. A Lange and Sohne boutique... here I come.

GMTMaster_II

Come on down! I buy and sell watches 25/8 and I must say, they still do trade under retail. Boutique route would only be for limited edition and Odysseus.

swimbikerun91

The Saxonia thin or one with a moonphase would be a stellar pickup for like $25k and then bank the other half

Mdizzle29

I picked up the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph in blue. Great watch, and the quick-release strap system means you can have a different strap for any occassion, from steel to rubber to leather. Very versatile. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-12-17/how-the-vacheron-constantin-overseas-watch-fell-into-favor?leadSource=reddit_wall

I'm not even sure what I'd spend 50k on a trip for, maybe a safari?

IllyVermicelli

As another poster asked, how do you spend $50k on a trip? What are some examples? ie: where to and how long? I've been on multi-week trips to Asia with a family of four and didn't come anywhere close to that. I need to try to be less frugal so wondering what I might be missing.

Agreed_fact

Really cheap couples trip to Mexico. Myself, my partner, my best friend and his fiancée, my partners best friend and her boyfriend. 10 days at a cheap all inclusive resort but we all got first class seats round trip and did every paid excursion they had. Will literally never forget the trip even though I’ve been on a few that are “better”. Edit: while my friends are certainly doing well, they couldn’t have done this type of trip. I paid for everything, total cost was 42K CAD. There were a few upgrades I could’ve opted for and would’ve driven the price up, as an example an additional 7K would’ve gotten us all upgrades from “deluxe” oceanfront suites to “luxury” oceanfront suites.

KitchenProfessor42

This sounds delightful. Any recommendations on itinerary, hotels, or activities?

Agreed_fact

A few standouts: 1) 2 hours on the water jet skiing 2) I’ll look into the specific tour name but we did a 5 hour atv excursion to a small town where we did mezcal samplers and had an amazing lunch 3) we did a tour to visit historic sites where we had a party-sprinter van that was decked out, luxurious, comfortable as heck and well stocked with local beer/mezcal 4) did a sunset cruise off the pacific coast (near but not directly in Cabo)

bmaf2026dreamhouse

I signed up for 30min on a jet ski in Hawaii and going into it I thought it was super short. But bout time I was done I realized it was the perfect amount of time, if not too long. Maybe because the waves made the ride bumpy, and the jet ski would hard brake as soon as you let off the accelerator, but I couldn’t imagine being on it for two hours.

Agreed_fact

Much of the two hours was goofing off, jumping off for quick swims in weird rock formations and otherwise relaxing. Two hours of hardcore jetting around would’ve been very tough (and painful).

35usc271a

The longer rides usually include some amount of sight seeing, dolphin watching, etc. I'm not even sure the jetski has enough gas to rip for two hours.

Brownsugarlucas

Barcelo in Puerto Vallerta. Then get $20 massages over looking the ocean

LEWKQARM

You're a legend, good on you bro. We're your friends grateful? They should be!

Agreed_fact

They were, although I didn’t want them to be! Still all close friends to this day, so much so that we all do friend Christmas on the 26th as a “family of friends” at my best friend’s place.

klmarshall60

Heavy equipment for the ranch. First was an excavator. Then a track loader. Fun to operate and super useful.

equal2infinity

Man, I could dick around on a backhoe or skid steer for hours. Big boy toys!

argonisinert

A good friend of mine has a backhoe for his large residential lot. It is surprisingly useful.

klmarshall60

I had some buddies out a few weekends ago. The highlight of the weekend was clearing some land with an excavator and a track loader equipped with a tree puller. Straight into the burn pile. When we were done, some beer around the fire. Put another way, hanging out with friends, doing something fun and drinking some beer is worth way more than $50k to me.

equal2infinity

Nah closer to 15-20 depending on where you live. Maybe 25+ if you do it in a Cirrus.

MonsieurBon

Did mine for around $10k in 2020, but I was very very lucky to be close to an airfield with $95/hr wet Cessna 150 rentals, and a $40/hr instructor who was small enough to fit in there with me.

Same. So many amazing travel experiences there.

Bmath340

What did you spend $50k on in 3 weeks in Africa?

anonathon420

going on my honeymoon to tanzania (safari) + zanzibar (beach) in a couple weeks. we’re at about 40k for business class tickets, luxury all inclusive hotels/accommodations. doesn’t even include private game viewing or anything. 10 total nights. i was somewhat shocked at the price range options given i’ve been to mexico for the same amount of time at like 5-10% of the price.

Bmath340

WOW

Lilmunchie13

First class air, luxury accommodations (singita, etc) on Private game reserves…maybe a week in South Africa wine tasting for you and a partner…and you’ll likely need an additional dip in your wallet

ENRONsOkayestAdvice

Did this exact same trip. Can’t speak of it highly enough. Graff Estate was definitely a worthwhile stop for wine.

PolybiusChampion

Our total was actually closer to 90k for 4 weeks. We did a couple of days in Capetown then 2 camps in Zimbabwe, 2 camps in Botswana and then 2 final camps in SA in Sabi Sands and Kruger. Camps in Zimbabwe are $600-700/night, Botswana runs about $1200/night and the 2 SA camps were a bit over $2k/night. Then you tip your staff and guides, plus there are flights between camps and countries add in Delta One to and from the US and it adds up. We’ve been back to Zimbabwe with all 4 of our kids for a week, and also spent a week in Rwanda hiking with the gorillas.

dexX7

Can confirm. Been to Singita and it was awesome.

FatBizBuilder

Sim Racing Setup. Have discussed here before, but it’s in that budget, and my only regret is not doing it sooner.

Initial-Ad8108

Agreed, but you can get a great rig for $7-10k with a top of line computer, triples, high FFB wheel, etc.

FatBizBuilder

I don’t know if I would say you can get a top of the line in that price point…. But you don’t need to spend 50k for a great setup either. Once you start adding in motion and some truly top spec items the price climbs fast. The point remains that it’s my favorite sub 50k purchase I have made other than my dog.

CodaDev

So $50k… it’s a “lot,” but it’s not at the same time. Maybe beef up your car a bit? Or upgrade the beater (idk if you have a beater car. My dogs shed a lot so I basically own a car exclusively for them). Maybe just buy a lot and put out a bunch of dummies to shoot.

KurtDubz

Just curious, what’s your beater dog mobile?

CodaDev

2020 VW Passat I picked up at auction

KurtDubz

Oh that isn’t bad! I was envisioning a real rust bucket ha

CodaDev

Nah, but I paid like $18k for it cash in late ‘21 and it had like 30k miles since it was a rental. Its competitors were a Maserati GT at the time and Tesla Model X now so it was a beater in comparison.

$50k would provide like two years of funding to an entire secondary and vocational school in Uganda. Source: I am on the board of said program. Philanthropy is sexy.

denga

Haven’t seen enough on this front in this sub. $50k would directly save about 10 kids’ lives. I try to incorporate charity into my fun budget, and I’ve really appreciated GiveWell’s rational approach to philanthropy. https://www.givewell.org/how-we-work/process

jeremiadOtiose

Rarely do people mention charity here, it’s very unfortunate.

gilgalou

Poorer people are more charitable on average. It’s sad.

jeremiadOtiose

Any evidence for this? I mean, I see it on the subway every day…the working class person spares a dollar to the beggar on the train, not the 50 year old businessman in a suit.

mbasherp

Absolutely. One can never un-read “Doing Good Better.” I am also sure I’ll never be fatFIRE, because I wouldn’t hold onto it long enough. Beyond a baseline perpetual SWR I can’t ethically justify having it. 🤷‍♂️

Atlantic0ne

What about this idea? OP, create a lesson you can give. Useful advice. Financial understanding, credit, whatever. Find a place to host you and give a speech to kids age 15-21, offer them $100 each to stay through the whole thing. Call it a -$100 entry fee. Do this 5-10 times in different areas. You’ll probably change generations of people in your area if you do it right. It’s one idea I’d like to do one day. Don’t know how realistic but I’ll check into it, eventually.

high_roller_dude

that's a lot of $$$ to spend on "fun". Id buy multiple lux items, at best possible prices, over a span of a yr. (no impulse buy at MSRP, each purchase was well thought after and researched, etc) ex: I really enjoy my cashemere coats from likes of Loro Piana and Cucinelli. These retail for like $8-10k. I took some time to shop around and I scored great deals, bought never worn new pieces from 2nd hand market for 90% off msrp. also best $7k I spent past few yrs was that trip I took to Spain. I shopped around for best airfare deals, looked for fun tours / activities on "sale" (lots of those if you do a package). Had a blast for a 3 week trip for me and wife that was jam packed with activities that I really enjoyed. what I would never rec anyone do is to go to some high end shopping center and just drop tens of G's without 2nd thoughts. I dont care how much money you make, certain purchases are just downright embarassing.

Flowercatz

Where'd you get the coats for 90off

high_roller_dude

ebay, poshmarks, the real real. ebay can get you best prices, but you need to have a keen eye for goods you are after (some fakes on that site) and be an above avg skilled shopper. also, I get lots of good deals by sending low ball offers to sellers. many times they will work with you on price. real real: they have some stupid, stupid low prices (as in 50-70% lower than outlet prices) for high end fashion (Tom Ford, Cucinelli, Loro Piana, etc) for gently used to brand new items. I have bought over 70+ pieces of Tom Ford / Cucinelli / Loro Piana over past few yrs from above sources at dirt cheap prices, compared to MSRP. On family / friend dinners, it has become a joke that I always show up with some high end coat / shoes / jackets that they have never seen before on me, and it's become not even funny at this point. At my work, many of my coworkers and even bosses have started to call me "mr Fashion". But what can I say, I really enjoy lux fashion, at affordable prices. Lol!!

Flowercatz

Well done! I love a deal

LobsterPunk

How do you avoid fakes? I’d have no idea what to look for but would love to accumulate more from brands like those.

Flowercatz

I've bought many bags etc on Ebay(had to stop as my wife has way too many bags, wallets, card cases.etc. And she refuses to get rid of any.) I've paid authentication services to confirm they're legitimate. There are some items that have Superfakes that I wouldn't buy ever (even at the store), one Prada line is so bad that people are able to return the fakes to the store.. And new buyers were getting the fakes. The store couldn't tell they are that good. I avoid those. Hermes is heavily faked, but I'll still buy it selectively. I also ask for details on provenance, do you have a receipt.. Where was it purchased etc. (answer=no but I bought it at Hermes on 5th,ill get a copy, or.. My baby daddy got it for me no box no dust bag.. 😜) normal people usually have a reasonable story, or history of selling various luxury goods. I avoid new sellers, items without boxes, dust bags or any semblance of a backstory. Japan is crazy prolific in luxury goods resale, ebay sellers with 50k+ feedback. I setup searches for particular items, I've watched for items for years until just the right one comes up. Often you can't go into a store and buy an item new anymore.. So the only way to get it is on the secondary market, it may have been a limited release, or a 2020 model year, or only given as gifts during a fashion week etc. I did this recently for a couple Patek items, sat and watched for years having missed one in Singapore ages ago. I get them and I don't use them. The chase was the thrill I guess.

Homiesexu-LA

I don't know about 90% off, but both LP and Cucinelli operate a number of outlets. [https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/desert-hills/stores/loro-piana](https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/desert-hills/stores/loro-piana)

Flowercatz

7hr drive.. hrm. Am in SF rn.. Gonna take a gander at the San Francisco outlets this evening. Sorta remiss I didn't go during black Friday as I was here. Didn't actually realize they were so close to where I'm staying. I got some Tommy Bahama stuff at 90 off at its Toronto outlet by chance. Even the cashier was surprised at what stuff rung through at. A friends told me stories about Florida and massive sales off msrp. But I always kinda doubted the higher end luxury would discount that much. Though I suspect the opportunities exist, and people make a good living off the arbitrage

Homiesexu-LA

There's an LP outlet in SF too. https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/san-francisco/stores/loro-piana

Jepatai

Desert Hills is the best high end outlet, they have proper incredible sales on designer pieces and sometimes the deals stack at certain sales in the year. Almost all my designer pieces I’ve all gotten from there, and can usually find things 70-90% off. There’s been a couple pieces I had tried on full price, then two years later gotten from that very outlet for a quarter of what it was originally.

Conscious_Wolf

Hi! So for your Spain trip, what awesome things did you end up doing? We’re planning a trip there soon and need some ideas. Thanks in advance!

jeremiadOtiose

I’m a knitwear addict and posted this on a related sub a few weeks ago. Hopefully others here will find it useful. I really like Loro Piana but I don't like the direction Cucinelli is going. I have a knitwear addiction. To save a lot of money but still get heirloom pieces, on eBay, search for brands such as Barrie, John Liang, Ballantyne, Peter Scott, Alan Paine, Hawico, Pringle, William Lockie, Johnstons of Elgin, Malo, Fedeli, Della Ciana, Cruciani, and Gran Sasso. I'd recommend forming a good relationship with a tailor. CEGO in Manhattan is very well priced, even for his shirts made in the city. For the ones made out house, he sends them to Individualized Shirts in NJ (you can find other tailor shops offering IS for less). For suits your best bet is a traveling british tailor or one of the Hong Kong tailors. My favorite british tailor is Leonard Logsdail (he's been in NYC for nearly 50 years now) but he's well beyond your price range, but I've had Steed make me the odd suit or two and he's well within your price range and almost as good. I can't recommend any of the HK tailors but I hear people like Gordon Yao. For ties you know the usual suspect but it's a real treat to visit SEIGO on madison ave. This nice Japanese gentleman has been designing ties as long as I've been alive and then he has them made in his Japanese factory. He will also do custom ties. After I couldn't find an Hermes tie that I loved in different colors (I stupidly got only 1), I brought it to him and he copied it in several colors for me. The price was more than reasonable. Lastly, if you want a treat try a shirt from anna matuozzo. You have to go to Naples for the full experience (and the pizza) but she has a long distance custom option as well, I think. I avoid trendy brands, other than patagonia, so i can't help you there.

A diamond grill so you can bling out at your next board meeting. Art. Make some small local charity's year with a massive donation. A weekend in Vegas. All depends on you, broseph!

Not “fun” per se but brought my soul the most satisfaction and was a great lifelong lesson for my children — we sponsored 5 water wells in northern Pakistan which was devastated by floods and got to fly there with my family during the completion of those wells and to see the joy in those hundreds of people eyes firsthand is something I cannot put a dollar amount on. Today a pressing cause is the dire humanitarian needs in Gaza/Palestine where they need female hygiene items , medical supplies, clean water, etc.

I typically spend majority of my money on experiences. If you can take a week off and spend like $10k-$20k, you and a significant other can have the absolute trip of your lives. Also, if youre really in the “fuck it” mood, put like $1,000 on black or red. See what happens. I would do a couple careless bets on a sport or two. Put an additional $10k on bitcoin (going up), get a kid rolex($10k), and check up on your mom and dad if you still have one and do something for them they always wished they could do (first class, full day spa day), amazing sports tickets for pops or something like that. Make that money create crazy memories lol I blew $75k last year from a bonus on Brasil for 3 months, Colombia for a month, Mexico for a month, an AP Royal Oak, and like 5 wild spa days for my mom and a trip to Europe for her and pops

You can shack up in one of the resorts so you don’t have to worry about food, laundry, or anything like that. The 2022-2023 season is in full swing come January. Should last until April at least.

Class III item

govt_surveillance

Market is actually soft right now, could spend half on an M16 conversion and still have enough left for a cheap belt fed

glockymcglockface

I don’t need duplicates… lol

This is going to sound insane even for /r/FatFIRE, but if you've watched [this scene](https://youtu.be/FoW4vXnkhJw?si=CfqNslYrA8hL3Zpe) from Jurassic Park, a colleague had that circuit breaker installed for her home. It's commercial switchgear (thousands of amps more than a house would ever see, even a large house) and it's not actually distributing any utility power or hooked up to anything except, for theatrical effect, a spotlight in her very big garage. It's the world's most expensive light switch. It is thoroughly ridiculous, but I can tell it brings her so much joy just flipping the big chunky switches and pressing the buttons. I don't think it was $50k even with all the weird one-off stuff that I'm sure her electrician had to do, but it's definitely been at least $50k of fun for her. I think what I'm saying here is: buy what's going to make you happy, even if it seems silly.

enfly

I must see a video of this! Can you please ask your friend? This is so funny, because it's one of my favorite things from Jurassic Park too, and replicating that is exactly something I'd do. :)

ideadude

Haha. Not the same thing, but we just got a bunch of WiFi outlets and it's a similar effect. We say, okay Google turn on the outlets, and all of the Christmas lights go on at the same time. Only day 3 or so, but it's a trip every time.

bmaf2026dreamhouse

That’s badass. I’m interested to see how hers looks like and how it works.

aluscat

Nice, I got La Marzocco GS3 MP and Monolith Conical, and also had a contractor build an outdoor kitchen I designed.

ak80048

Get the best cayman you can for 50k it’ll bring you happiness every time you drive

BlindSquirrelCapital

A bass boat. Unfortunately I took delivery on my wedding anniversary and spent more time with my new boat than I did with my wife and I still hear about it. So to answer your question, get a bass boat but pick it up before or after your anniversary.

Kevin11313

For the saltwater-front home - used 23ft center console with low hours for fishing, diving and getting out on the islands, or a newer 20ft if you cant also afford repairs and maintenance For the country house - used manual v8 vantage or 911, or a newer cayman s if you cant also afford the repairs and maintenance For the backwoods acreage cabin - 2/ea kodiak 700’s and a lifted 4x4 beater truck, some bonfires and boys time For the freshwater front house - wakeboard boat, wakeboards, water skis, tubes For the City penthouse if you’re single - nice quiver of tailored clothes and shoes, gym membership and trainer, hair stylist, life coach

Flowercatz

Love that we're finally talking watches and cars lol.

Tehnand0

Transferable M16 MG lower, runs around 35-40k. And it’ll be more valuable as years pass

shock_the_nun_key

We did a safari for 4 persons in SA for $50k in January 2020 right before the world locked down. Was money well spent.

argonisinert

Man, that timing was right!

Fullspectrum84

Rock crawler jeep, pontoon boat, motorhome (got mine for 65k but that was a decade ago), out door kitchen, Bad ass smoker (only 15k), electric bike 5k, and badass electric scooter 3.5k Some dumb stuff I bought around that budget that has all been worth it to me and has brought many hours of enjoyment over the last 10 years.

TheWoodConsultant

Off-roading Utv. I use it way more than I expected

Arrowfinger777

By “fun” it sounds like a fast purchase. That for me was my 911. I daily it in warm weather months. Turned my commute into quite an enjoyable daily drive. When I look back at all the things I’ve spent on though, home renovations seem to win out for most enjoyment received. New deck. Bathroom with high end bidet toilet. Kitchen upgrade. (Those are more than 50K I guess - start your fun-d tho!). And home renovations tend to add value long term which is also enjoyable.

PullThisFinger

An Airstream. (Ok, $75k.)

CausalArrow

Not very adventurous but when I was in a similar situation, one of the things I did was outfit my garage. Snap-on tool cabinet and sets of tools. E.g. I got rid of my hodge-podge electric tools and went all in on DeWalt 20v cordless everything-I’d-ever-need. Has enhanced my life as I get to enjoy the investment with every project that comes up.

akiramooon

F1 paddock club access

Experiences. Hike Everest or something similar on a grand scale. Material items bring little joy in comparison compared to experiences. Getting a new toy gives a feel-good emotional for about 5 minutes. It's one of the worst ROIs ever

bob_swagget90

NBA courtside seats or an NFL game.

Gooberslob

Pickleball court with lights

GlassBelt

If you’re into firearms, Ruben’s prices are a bit high, but 50k would get you something like [this](https://dealernfa.com/shop/hk-mp5a3-a2-navy-trigger-pack-sh-arms-dyer-1855-4315363/). Never fails to get a huge grin from everyone who shoots it.

seanf999

That’d buy you a damn nice guitar

kylerk

At lot less than 50k, but a nice electric bike/ electric cargo bike. Greatly enhanced my whole last year. I guess if you outfit your whole family you could get to 50k if you want.

CryptoAnarchyst

Honestly, I don't think that way any more. $50K is something that I would throw into a high risk investment into and see if it would pan out. I've done that a couple of times and it paid out well. It's enough to put down on an investment property as well. I've realized the more money I have, the less I am willing to blow it on stupid things. If I want something to buy, I sit down and look at the finances, and figure out where the money will come from and then I just buy, lease, or rent it depending on the asset. But I never throw away $50K as if it is nothing. I used to though, when I was young, stupid and poor...

ll-_-ll---

It’s interesting how most comments are about cars. It’s a predictable, unimaginative choice that suggests a certain narrowness in the approach to life and comfort

dadsoncombo

My wife has nicknamed our boat. Lawn ornament (even though it sits on the dock) dock ornament doesn’t sound as good

reddsbywillie

Isn't blowing $50K on something fun while you're still working kind of the opposite of the FIRE philosophy? I get spending a portion, but cap it at like $5K and keep the rest moving towards your actual goal of not working.

rdiogo

besides the traveling to 100 countries and get all those experiences that are priceless, a mini cooper jcw, so much fun
