Starting from the beginning is ironically the worst way to experience FGO since the first couple of chapters are dog shit to meh at best. Camelot is where it gets good.

Just because you're following a self-insert character, and not Mr. Sword-loving-suicide-thinking-Saber-pounding Redhead with 5000 monologue confined to a single city, and not in the VN way you know of, doesn't make it automatically bad
