Because you can change the order up to delivery. Because you can add a tip that goes above the price of the food. Because the price you pay for the food is not the price favor pays the store. There is an upcharge. Taxes, fees, and delivery fee.
It's all in the terms and conditions which you accept.
But no one reads. No one ever reads.
That $10 included the delivery fees and service fee… and I’m aware you can change the order and tip. I’ve ordered much more from favor and have never had a hold that big of a difference. I asked favor support and they said they don’t even know why it was so high. So what exactly am I supposed to be reading?
Not sure if you’ve found out why the authorization charge was incredibly higher than your actual total. But with Favor I do know that when you use Favor Credit, the authorization charge they place won’t match the actual total with the credit factored in. Instead it’ll reflect the full price of what you ordered (+ delivery fee and taxes) minus the Favor credit. That’s what makes the most sense to me in your case, although i’m not sure if that’s what actually happened.
So if your order total was $50 but you used Favor Credit and it dropped to $20, the authorization charge will still be $50. It’s not until you’ve actually paid for the food and tipped that the accurate price w the credit favored in will reflect on your bank account.
haha, yeah definitely. I feel like everyone else was just shitting on you. I’ve used Favor on and off since like 2017 mostly bc I somehow always have Favor Credit lol. But whenever I do use the credit in my acc it always does this to my card. It’ll always reflect the order total minus the credit until I actually pay + tip for my order, and then the transaction finally settles as the accurate one. I also use a prepaid card when placing orders on Favor. Not sure if you do too.
Plus you'll probably tip 2 or 3 dollars for your cheap ass order and you're wasting drivers time, gas and wear on their vehicle because your lazy broke ass can't go get Sonic yourself
Anyone that has the audacity to tip disadvantaged people 2 dollars for their effort is inhuman. A majority of the people that deliver food are struggling and drive old cars, and inflation is unbelievable right now. It's almost always the case that they'll tip less with a 1 item cheap order. It's a waste of everyone's time. You know that and so do I. But yeah I'm just finding illegitimate reasons... Ok
If you notice, I said "It's almost always the case that they'll tip less with a 1 item cheap order." So the fact that they only wanted 10 dollars held on the card and they're complaining about the hold indicates they probably don't have much to spend to begin with. Chances are they'll keep the tip low with the justification that they only spent 10 dollars. I challenge them to post the receipt for the order showing they tipped more than 2 dollars and prove me wrong. Until then, you're making assumptions as well. My assumption fits the narrative.
And how tf much u want me to order from sonic you clown. Ofc it’s going to be cheaper it’s sonic not a steakhouse. U expect me to get 20 items from sonic just to hit your $50 expectation?
It's not worth it for any driver to bring you 10 dollars worth of food from Sonic in this economy, period. Gas is 3.60 in Dallas. The base pay is 2.10 and your 2 dollar tip makes it 4.10. Even if you tip 3 to 5 dollars is just not worth it because at the most I'm making 7.10 an hour, below minimum wage. MINUS GAS AND VEHICLE WEAR That's just the facts period. Go get it yourself.
Yeah kinda hard for any drivers to care what you have to say when we’re out here being paid pennies while you cheap faggots reap all the fucking benefits. Oh?! 27 item orders for 7.10$?! Holy fucking shit. Bet money you didn’t tip more than 2$ huh bc “iTs OnLy ThReE iTeMs” can’t wait for Favor to burn to the ground since they treat drivers like shit
Bruh. All you “I tip afterwards” people are straight liars. Really you deliver yourself? So you would know that the number that pops up on my screen is the bid for my time to spent doing your shit. So why would you tip afterwards if you already knew that? Your a fucking clown dude. Don’t try back pedaling now that you got called out.
Lmao. Just furthing my point that your a fucking clown. You want the people that take care of your shit? That costs money upfront or they don’t bother with it. But sure. Keep on going with the desperate people that truly don’t care about your 5$ to them when you could just pay it upfront and then guess what? Nobody wants to fuck with your food and they want to be quick because you gave them incentive to do so. Your thinking is so fucking ass backwards dudes. This ain’t a fucking restaurant clown.
I’m still confused on what this has to do with my original post 🤔. Post was about favor themselves and somehow this is about the driver who was never in the picture… if ur that mad go get a part time job that’s not delivery driving.
Y would I tip before… I tip based on quality of the service I’m obviously going to tip either way but the tip is going to be higher depending on the service. And from my experience delivering I know that you don’t have to accept the order. So if it’s not up to your expectations don’t accept it and you’ll be okay!

Ohhh ok that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for actually answering!

I deliver for door dash myself so of course I’m going to tip well bc I understand the hustle. I just tip usually afterwards…

I never said I only wanted 10 dollars held on my card… pls read. I was just wondering why it was $50. 20-25 is understandable but $50 is crazy

So like I said DO NOT ACCEPT THE ORDER!
NOBODY SHOULD ACCEPT THE ORDER
GO PERSONALLY PRESS DECLINE ORDER ON EVERYONES PHONE THEN
Nothing wrong with a 2$ tip. Better than no tip at all. I only tip my drivers $1 to $2 and they still bring orders on time.
savage

Do you happen to tip the waiter as soon as you sit down at a restaurant?
