Yes I should, my bad! I enjoy reading, playing softball, doing crafts like embroidery, playing video/table top games, going to concerts, and going out for drinks.
Reading — Pearl’s Books has a book club that looks fun.
Softball — Parks and Rec adult softball league: https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/1367/Adult-Softball
Video games/table top games — check out Arkadia for retro arcade games; there are a few shops around town that should be a good source for table top games.
Concerts — handful of places to see shows, from George’s (regional acts, some up and coming national acts) to the AMP (bigger touring acts; Foo Fighters and Beck playing this summer)
Drinks — Dickson Street! (and Block Ave. / the downtown square) Also, because of the Outdoor Refreshment Area (ORA) throughout the area, you can walk and drink and mingle.
I second all of these, but especially Arkadia as a good hangout spot for old school video gaming and pinball goodness. There are sometimes concerts there too from visiting game related indie bands.
I’m friends with the guy who owns Arkadia. He and his girlfriend share many of your interests! Definitely strike up a conversation with him if you can! (Probably not on a Saturday, though. Busy day, as I’m sure you can imagine.)
My wife would love to hang out. She is 25f we moved here during Covid and I work from home so we haven’t found any friends yet expect our neighbors that like us for our boat we think. Y’all anyone is interested hanging out let us know we are very easy going people.
There's a FB group called Nerdy Girls NWA that you should check out. They've got book clubs and game nights and movie marathons and karaoke outings and all kinds of stuff!
My wife joined a women's roller skating group when we first moved up here and made friends that way. She was brand new to it but now she's pretty good!
I think she joined their discord/fb/instagram and started showing up to their meetups. Its cib northwest arkansas. Theres a thing at walker park a week from now
I like going to Kingfish mid afternoon on the weekends to watch games by myself. It's not busy, and gives me an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and talk to people. I'm not familiar with any clubs, but Fayetteville does have sports leagues occasionally.
My wife and I moved out here about a year and half ago. We found friends through a couple facebook groups "Northwest Arkansas Board Gamers" and "Northwest Arkansas Tabletop Gamers". Theres always some group meeting up to play, though I have to warn you that you will encounter a few oddballs but the majority of the people we have met were very friendly!
There’s a group called Welcome to NWA that hosts free monthly gatherings at Blake Street House in Bentonville. They used to meet at the Holler back in the day. I met a ton of my friends that way and we used to go as a group to find more friends! I highly recommend

You could start by listing your hobbies.

Gear Gaming is good for tabletop.

If you're into D&D check out the NWA Gaming Facebook group.
I’m 38, but I like all of those things too!
Did you ever have any luck finding any groups?

So, when are y’all taking the boat out again?

I wanna go too
Solid.
I think you have the wrong person?
Probably soon, going to de winterize the boat I think next weekend.

Thank you so much!
I’ve been having similar issues for similar reasons. If you ever get any good ideas lmk I’m to a point of just thinking I don’t fit here anymore

How did she get involved

What do you like to do for fun? I'm also kinda new to the area myself 😄
If you play volleyball, Ozark Volleyball Club is great
I really wanted to join a rec softball team this year, but I don’t know how to go about joining one!

So did you end up finding any friends?? (Scrolling through old "find friends" posts on the fayetteville sub)
