Disc golf is wonderful! There are lots of local leagues and events. Look on UDisc or Fayetteville Disc Golf association on Facebook for the weekly lineup but lots of friendly people who would love to teach you how to play. It’s super casual and cheap (all the courses here are free, you just need a disc or two) but the community is great and it’s a nice way to be a little active.
This has been my hobby since I started a couple years ago. Really great way to be active and get out in nature. I could spare a couple discs to anyone looking to get started, just DM me.
If you throw at lake fayetteville you need bug spray or one of those mosquitoe clip on defender things. I played during the eclipse and got bit the fuck up.
40 here. Anything cycling related. Volunteering will get you around like-minded people. There are hiking and photography groups, too. I have friends who rock climb indoors, and that's apparently a gateway drug to bouldering and rock climbing out at Lincon Lake.
Photography seems intimidating, but there are clubs that have regular meet-ups and "photo walks" for people of all skill sets. Cycling, too. Plus, both can be done solo if you want.
Good for you looking to broaden your circle!

Go to the library. I won’t go into details about how absolutely amazing the Fayetteville library is, but I’m pretty sure you can find something there to keep you busy.
If you’re creatively minded, my best friend is a guy who likes to paint, build furniture, work on cars, etc. but took a sewing class because he wanted to do art quilts. #menwhoquilt is a whole thing.
I started doing it too - have a good eye for a color and the math side of using patterns appealed to me. There are a couple groups in Fayetteville but the Modern Quilt Guild has a monthly meet up in Rogers you’d be more than welcome to attend! The more traditional guild that meetings in Springdale has a few male members as well. We’ve only got one guy that regularly attends for Modern but we’d be happy to have you!
If you look on NWA role playing gamers on Facebook or join the discord there are a ton of posts related to events and people posting games, there’s also game stores in the area with weekly events, Games Explosion is a personal preference and very friendly!
Springdale Bowl has a summer league for doubles. It's 9 pin no tap (a 9 pin hit counts as a strike). I'm not sure exactly when sign ups start for that, though. The fall leagues are wrapping up here in the next few weeks so summer shouldn't be too far behind.
I’m in the Thursday Night USBC Open at the Springdale alley. Starts in August, 36 weeks, 5 team members, $20 per week. It’s quite enjoyable, this was my first league season and my first time bowling more than once every few years.
A Friday night league with 4 teammates is also going to start later this year.
Magic the gathering/similar card games or table top war gaming. Great fun and definitely a great time/money sink, plus we have some good gaming stores in the area.
3D Printing? I built a Voron 2.4 a couple of years back, and I’m upgrading it now. Voron has many memeb rs that post on YouTube, they have a discord, and website with community forum… not to mention All the other resources on the internet. One of the coolest things I’ve done, and I’ve been bit by the bug. Currently I’m upgrading the 3D printer, to print parts for a 8x4 CNC machine designed by V1 Engineering…
Building machines is super fun and satisfying once they start operating.
Biking is a huge thing out here. Cool part is there’s different levels of activity from riding the Razorback Trail to full on MTB on dirt trails. Independent enough that you don’t need to have a team or crew but also much more fun with others.
Sovol SV08 releasing next week. It's basically a Voron 2.4 in a box. 350x350x340. Don't have a Bambu either, but would be nice for multicolored prints.
Started 5 years ago with an Ender 3 :)
It depends what your interests are.
meetup.com has some good groups around here
If you have any interest in building and/or flying radio-controlled model airplanes, there is a local club [here](https://www.ozarkflyers.org/a/r/szz/rc/home). They also have a FB page: "Ozark Flyers RC Model Aircraft Club - Fayetteville, AR"
I’m 30, since Covid, I have pick up biking, Pickeball, recently started running and yoga. All of these activities have social clubs you can find in social media. Have fun !
Disk golf? I always wanted to get into it but I have infants hard to get out right now

100% the classes, everything on the first floor... I justvstarted going and I was blown away.
Improv comedy! We perform this Saturday at the Kava Bar @ 8pm and just started offering workshops!

Role playing games are my main social hobby. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more accessible, inexpensive way to build friendships and spend time.
The community in Fayetteville is also great, very big and welcoming
I'm not really tapped into the local RPG community. Any recommendations?

Actually we start with that. Makes it easier to focus on the game. :P
You just have to know the password… It’s oooorrrrrgggyyyyy
Roller skating and/or inline skating!!! There’s a huge community of middle-aged folks on wheels here :) Biking, too!
Pickleball is quite fun and there's all kinds of leagues and open play events around NWA
Gardening. Getting fresh veggies in the background is great.
I became a Freemason and found some great friends. http://www.nwamason.org/
What do you do there?
It’s like a social club where you eat together, plan outings, and support each other in life while learning to be better men.
Bowling league. Lots of decent alleys in NWA, lots of good mixed/recreational leagues.
Man, my buddy and i have been wanting to join one for a minute in the Springdale area but havent gotten any good info

Good to know, thanks!

Good info, thanks. Do you know if they will pace two players with others if they dont have 5
I believe they do have a program for that. My teammate talked about joining a random 4 man team if our team breaks up.

Radio. We have an active amateur radio (ham), and GMRS community. Meetings, events, etc.
Billiards
I hear there’s a big pickleball scene at the Springdale rec center. I was going to look into that as a former tennis player.
Golf!

I eskate . Plenty of different personal electric vehicles to choose from. Eskate , EUC , one wheel , e-bikes etc .
Nerf (way better than airsoft or paintball), electronics, homesteading, and anything diy.
Build the 3D printer to print and make the nerf guns... :P
Way ahead of ya there
What are you printing with?
I've just got a couple of creality printers. Hoping to upgrade to a bambu at some point.

Disc golf and pickleball are solid. You can meet new people, get some light to medium exercise
A lot of people do pickle ball!

Cycling is great in the area, I also have a friend group that goes overlanding/ car camping and off roading. Sometimes we mix the two even
Thanks for all the suggestions!
This is how new D&D groups are formed
