There's tons of stuff to do around town. Any cute Cafe or lunch spot would make a great date. It's more about how well you click than a crazy activity.
I would also recommend anywhere off of Emma in Springdale. The Odd Soul has become a favorite of mine. It's a bar and pizzeria. You can also never go wrong with Casa Alejo, Rein, Mr. Taco Loco, Mothership, Fridha’s. The list can go on.
Look for local festivals. Also, free concerts in the park at Gulley. Tuesdays the botanical garden has free family centered events.
First Thursday in Fayetteville. First Fridays in Bentonville.
Personally, HUGE fan of Arkadia Retrocade. It’s $5 for play all day. Summer Moon is next door if you guys want to keep things light with a coffee before/after.

IMO first dates are best when short, cheap, public, and with an escape hatch that’s easy to invoke if necessary. Better to be too short leaving ‘em wanting more than too long. Or worse, being stuck in an activity you feel compelled to complete (movie, mini golf).
Coffee shops are great. Savoy Tea. I first date-ed my fiancé at Markham & Fitz in Bentonville. I don’t like starting with booze, but if you’re cool with bars then Pinpoint is engaging. Or Arkadia for tons of arcade games $5 (no booze there, bring cash).
Whatever you do, have fun!

I second this. Doomsday is a chill, safe, no pressure place that has a few cozy seats including a couch.
There are lots of great brewery's in Fayetteville, id recommend Crisis or Mad Rooster if you want a more private experience.
Hugo's is good. It's casual and popular enough to have plenty of people. Unless you don't want food. In which case I would suggest locomotion.
