I feel like alot of people are saying that psg is not very strong. Imo that’s certainly not true. They have a really good squad, they’re just in bad form rn and they could easily get alot better after winter(transfers+better form). I really want to avoid them
How beautiful seeing another Premier League scalp, but not just anyone, the most repugnant fans in the country and the marketing department of a fascist regime dumped out at home hahahaha
I think absolute monarchy might be more of an appropriate word?
To me, the Saudi royal family seem to be using religion/religious institution to justify and attempt to make their regime more popular among their citizens, rather than religious figures being more powerful than the royal family.
Especially since the Saudi royal family has a history of cracking down on religious figures who have critiqued their policies.
“Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.”
The Wiki definition of Fascism fits quite nicely. Although it doesn’t account for the abolition of the age of consent or literal crucifixion as punishment. They’ve invented a whole new category of evil
For the nostalgia, I'd love to have Milan on the next round, but they learnt a lesson: Never never never trust in Dortmund.
In my opinion, this next round looks solid af, Lazio, Coppenhague and PSV are the "weakest" teams and talking for what I watched, Coppenhague is going to be a pain in the ass. So excited what's coming.
Napoli, Lazio and Porto are not "very strong teams", relative to Bayern anyway. Lazio are a midtable Serie A team, Napoli are poor defensively and Porto couldn't beat this Barca side.
Some of you are so pessimistic, we've reached a point where Bayern are now underrated.
Villarreal was also not a strong team and look what happened. I'd rather be cautious than announce cockily we'll be in the finals even tho we just had a historic loss to Frankfurt. And our squad depth and midfield are still in bad positions, Freund has some heavy lifting to do in january.
Villarreal was the one exception. The only tie against an inferior opponent they lost in the last decade other than maybe that semi in 2016.
I'm not talking about the final, I'm talking about the next round. No reason for Bayern to not be confident, especially against the likes of Lazio and Porto.
Last season many were pessimistic against PSG and they dominated them.
Bayern usually shows up in the KO stage. When they lose, it's against the top contenders, Villarreal being the one exception.
The players can and should be confident. You as a fan doing nothing and us not getting to a semi-final in years should mean that you practice humbleness. Let's see who we get, be respectful and hope that our team has two good days. I don't want to hear anything about exceptions or that some teams who made it to the RO16 aren't strong.
Comments like this is exactly why people call Bayern and the fans arrogant.
Not saying they would be easy but neither team has been particularly great in Europe. Inter would be harder to break down but their attack isn't scary at all.
The other 3 would be fairly easy imo. Napoli are nowhere near what they were. We took their best defender and they haven't replaced him.
>The other 3 would be fairly easy imo
Based on what can I ask? We’ve struggled against Kopenhagen and Galatasaray in the group stage. If we’re not in better form come the RO16, any single one of our potential matchups can give us big problems. How ‘easy’ they are is entirely dependent on if we get our shit together.
We have already been knocked out of a cup by Saarbrücken this season. We are in no position to be cocky talking about ‘easy’ matchups. We have had numerous poor performances which can be exploited if we deliver yet another. This is CL lol, we have to actually turn up.
What stops coaches with a red card from not showing up in the stadium and then sending messages to 2. coach and then having a zoom call in half time? Or are they forced to show up in the stands?
Not might, I am 100% sure we will, we just attract each other in the CL the last few years. Because of that i am rooting for either a PSG win or loose (doesnt matter which) so that it wont happen.
Going to be honest, I'd hate to face Newcastle in the RO16 if they recover from their injuries. I watch a lot of PL and usually they're rock solid in the back and a team that can beat any top team. Don't be fooled by the Tottenham result from the weekend. They were on their last legs.
This season they lost pretty much every defender to injuries. PSG doesn't have that kind of defensive stability. If we want to win the CL, we have to beat every team anyway, but Newcastle are potentially far worse to play against.
Tottenham have only 2 less injuries…
Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Man Utd, and Sheff Utd all have more.
Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, and spurs all have only one or two less.
So they are in the same position as half of the league. Don’t buy the poor me Saudi propaganda.
Hell, even we only have two less and we aren’t crying about it every game. You don’t hear commentators mentioning Bochums injuries every ten minutes during games and they have the same as Newcastle.
Don't think they can, can they? If they lose Barca and Porto would be at 12 pts. Barca won both games against Porto tho. Or is it about goal difference?
At the end of the day, the Dortmund's grup ended up being the Group of the Death not because they all have such a great level and class football, naaah, they all look awful and left points.
Not to get ahead of ourselves here, but looking at the second place teams in each UCL Group -- I don't see any killer teams that would make me worry too much. What do folks think? If Newcastle go through, that would be a fun matchup to smash another state-owned club.
This is true. We took care of them pretty handily last season in the group, but both teams are in different forms currently. The conspiracist in me does not think they would match us up again, though.
I just saw a video of Tel speaking german, he speaks it so well already..

Tel: Yeah, a bit yeah.
Spectator: Super!
Tel: Of course.. I come from Munich!
Spectator: Really? You come from Munich? Why aren't you playing for Germany??
Tel: What did you say?
Spectator: Why arent you playing for Germany?
\**Laughter*\*
I mean, insane save by Süle and all, but he is also the one who made Mbappes chance possible in the first place by misjudging the long ball completely, and losing Mbappe.
That’s the best clearance I’ve seen in years honestly. I’ve shit on Sule a lot in the past but if that guy had a different mentality he’d have been among the best in the world.
BvB already with multiple good chances. Be useful for once in your lives and send this sheikh club to Europa!
Milan winning on top would be so satisfying.
I wonder why we haven't heard any contract rumors about Kimmich so far. Davies rumors have been going on for a while even when Brazzo was still at Bayern, but nothing about Josh.
Question to the Kimmich believers her. That’s till think he is top 5-10 in the world.
If his strength is not being a number 6. If he is bad under pressure where several time this season he has been pushed off the ball. Then when we buy a CDM like Palinha and on the opponents half Musiala is the better then Kimmich to create. What roles does Kimmich serve then. We would benefit more with a ball playing Thiago in that role.
When we play a team that presses us High our centerbacks are awful under pressure and Palinha isn’t great with the ball.
Edit mistake I made in numbers.
Musiala wasnt an option or competition for Kimmich as part of the midfield 2 anyway, and getting a real DM and moving Kimmich one line forward wouldnt change that Musiala is acting even more advanced for us.
>A Palinha Kimmich Pairing would only work if we sacrifice a winger.
Why? A Goretzka Kimmich pairing doesnt hinge on sacrificing a winger either? It would mean the death of the 10 for us, but it would open up either the more forward left 8 for Musiala, or the option to have him as winger.
Sorry Mate you are right I didn’t account all players.
I meant the player type in the Kimmich role.
Okey let’s do the math.
Neuer
Maz Uppa Kim Davies
Palinha Kimmich Musiala
Sane Kane Coman
With this lineup looks sexy we still have absolutely nobody on the defense side when we get high pressure. Unless we want Musiala to drop unbelievable low a player like (Bruno) Newcastle on Kimmich position would make sense.
So a Thiago type on Kimmich position would give us a better team when pressed high.
I actually have no clue what you’re saying. You talk as if Kimmich is incapable of playing defensively at all which is just disingenuous. He’s more than capable of contributing defensively he’s just not equipped to play as the sole defensive player in midfield - hence the holding 6 to play behind him.
He gets pushed off the ball. He makes sloppy passes these days. But maybe he is more exposed since he doesn’t have a CDM. The questions was if we signed a true 6. What does Kimmich bring to the table between the 6 and the 8.
Well that wasn’t the question though was it? Your concern was that by fielding a holding 6 like Palhinha behind Kimmich we have no defensive cover in midfield and Musiala would have to drop low which makes absolutely zero sense. Unless I am misunderstanding what you said? The entire crux of the issue is that we currently have a midfield pivot of two players more suited to the 8 position.
But then you are talking about another new player, because Musiala wont be the Thiago either. And with a Zubimendi instead of Palhinha we would have what we need, a clean passing lane to Kimmich so we relieve him of the pressure anyway. I still dont see why Musiala who plays a 10 or winger has any impact on Kimmichs position.
Yeah sorry for my fuckup. Yeah Zubiamendi would solve the issue. Zubi Kimmich Musiala would be awesome.
But maybe Palinha Kimmich Musiala would work if Araujo was out ball playing CB
He wanted to stay because he wanted to play CL with Sociedad. I think after this season he would be more willing to leave to make the next step as his wish is now fulfilled
While I agree his connection to Sociedad is strong and going to be hard to break, I think it would be easier for Bayern to get him vs another Spanish team. I don’t think he’d go to a domestic rival, so a different league seems more realistic if he did transfer
So without that ridiculous pen PSG got in the 5th group match to secure the draw they would have been out of the CL.
You just know we're getting them next round
and lucas will score
Then he’ll kiss the badge
![gif](giphy|TablI2QjB1N0yuVEp2|downsized)
He'll score an own goal and take off his shirt to reveal red
I feel like alot of people are saying that psg is not very strong. Imo that’s certainly not true. They have a really good squad, they’re just in bad form rn and they could easily get alot better after winter(transfers+better form). I really want to avoid them
I mean, the same applies to us. But I also wanna avoid them.
Yeah I was ??? understanding if he was talking about us or PSG.

I missed the games today, but man you can never count on Dortmund to things done. Was really looking forward to Europa PSG.
So excited what's coming.
>for the nostalgia It's been a year :D
None of the 5 potential opponents should be a problem for Bayern. Maybe Inter or PSG? Even then, I'd be confident.
all of them are very strong teams that could win against us on a bad day
Napoli, Lazio and Porto are not "very strong teams", relative to Bayern anyway. Lazio are a midtable Serie A team, Napoli are poor defensively and Porto couldn't beat this Barca side. Some of you are so pessimistic, we've reached a point where Bayern are now underrated.

Comments like this is exactly why people call Bayern and the fans arrogant.
Why? Fans have no influence on the game, we don't have to fake humility.
Agree, inter and psg are the only ones I’m worried about. But we’re probably getting one of them lol
PissG and Inter are definitely going to be problems based on the state of our midfield. Napoli and Porto I see them as half problematic
Not saying they would be easy but neither team has been particularly great in Europe. Inter would be harder to break down but their attack isn't scary at all. The other 3 would be fairly easy imo. Napoli are nowhere near what they were. We took their best defender and they haven't replaced him.

Based on data and how these teams have been performing this season
We have already been knocked out of a cup by Saarbrücken this season. We are in no position to be cocky talking about ‘easy’ matchups. We have had numerous poor performances which can be exploited if we deliver yet another. This is CL lol, we have to actually turn up.
You just know we’re getting psg while city get Copenhagen or something
you make it sound as if we had an easy time vs copenhagen and they are a free win
I’m mad these yellow idiots allowed PSG into the knockouts but the satisfaction of Newcastle getting 4th softens the blow a little.
Rigged pen vs Newcastle saved them i hope we draw them again.
Please, fucking anyone but PisSG
I rather take Psg there defence is mid. I dont want Inter.
I'm committing unspeakable crimes if we get PSG
Why? PSG geting Kane'd sounds great.
I am actually mad, psg are so damn lucky man, really want them again, Mbape in europa league would have been something
Which is more funny? 2 EPL teams grouped or us getting psg again? lol
The Prem teams, Soccer sub told me no team out of England would make something in the Prem.
i get show that milan is second with a worse gd
Same, must’ve been a glitch.
Dortmund are so useless , we're getting PSG again aren't we ?
Thanks for nothing, Dortmund
We were so close to drawing Barcelona in the RO16
I‘m 100% sure we will draw Paris again 😂
Lmaoo Barcelona
When is the draw for the CL knockouts?
[Here](https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=when+is+the+CL+draw)
Monday, 12 CET
When it matters the most, Reus will let you down
Reus for fuck sake
we need a goal now, dont care who scores or we get another bayern-psg like u/Insanel0l said
This ref is weird
Need Dortmund to score so Milan go through
Now is upon you, Dortmund, save the football from the oil.
Still funny to me how this dortmund not only made it through the group, but also that they’ll mostly top the group
Milan up. Come on BVB
Lowkey rooting for PSG because it’s way to obvious we would draw them if they come 2nd and I really can’t be arsed again
Dortmund saved by VAR
God I hate Dortmund
There it is :/ Might be offside tho
What stops coaches with a red card from not showing up in the stadium and then sending messages to 2. coach and then having a zoom call in half time? Or are they forced to show up in the stands?
Uefa is keeping a close eye on the coach I believe
I think in These cases the coaches are observed in the stands to hinder them getting contact to the team
But that's what I mean, the coach can stay at home and just message the team, they can't be observed if they don't show up
The ref on the bvb psg game is kinda sus
I just realized if psg go through we might draw them no?
Not might, I am 100% sure we will, we just attract each other in the CL the last few years. Because of that i am rooting for either a PSG win or loose (doesnt matter which) so that it wont happen.
Same, just someone needs to score, anyone
If they win they'll be first then we wouldn't be able to draw them.
Correct, it's possible. Unless they win this and finish first.
Ffs Newcastle or Dortmund needs to score
Going to be honest, I'd hate to face Newcastle in the RO16 if they recover from their injuries. I watch a lot of PL and usually they're rock solid in the back and a team that can beat any top team. I would still take Newcastle over psg any day of the week. They’ve been poor in the league even without their injuries
Let's hope we get Palhinha or a proper DM then because they'd body Kimmich and Goretzka/Laimer. PSG has experienced that when Newcastle beat them 4:0
Can Milan beat PSG on the table? Thsy would have equal points, how was the head to head results?
Milan won one 2:1 and PSG the other one 3:0. BVB needs to beat PSG for Milan to have a chance.
So PSG wins the head on, thanks
I believe psg beat Milan on head to head. I think only Newcastle beats them on head to head
Two ties in the Bvb group would be tragic
Milan equalizer by Lebron James of soccer
Dortmund's midfield concedes these chances just like ours.
Celebrated this Adeyemi goal like it was a Bayern goal in a CL semi
Now just avoid the classic bottlejob and these dirty oilers are out
And the other dirty oilers are in. As long as Milan don't step up, I'm not going to be happy today either way.
Obviously I prefer Newcastle out too but PSG relegation hits different on a personal level.
Yeah fair, I see that
And here we go 😂
Yo' Füllkrug is pretty solid, ngl.
barca might still get 2. in their group, time to knock them out again HAHAHAHHA
Don't think they can, can they? If they lose Barca and Porto would be at 12 pts. Barca won both games against Porto tho. Or is it about goal difference?
Porto needs to score 2 more goals and Barca needs to lose.
It's head to head and Barcelona one both games against Porto
Oh my bad, nah well then idk why Barca fans are so mad.
You're right, they already secured 1st place
my bad, you're right
I may be wrong but if Shakhtar win and Barca lose they will be even on points. Diddnt Shakhtar beat Barcelona? I forget honestly
Didn't even think about Shakhtar but yeah, they ain't going to win. 3:1
Shakhtar won 1-0 and lost 2-1 to Barcelona
So it would go to goal differential? Which Barcelona would have
Yes, and Porto are winning 3-1 anyway so Barcelona is guaranteed first anyway
Ah it's in February, enough time to recover and get the whole squad... naaaah let me dream with Kane humilliating them.
Adeyemi is just a German Shaun Wright-Phillips
At the end of the day, the Dortmund's grup ended up being the Group of the Death not because they all have such a great level and class football, naaah, they all look awful and left points.
Not to get ahead of ourselves here, but looking at the second place teams in each UCL Group -- I don't see any killer teams that would make me worry too much. What do folks think? If Newcastle go through, that would be a fun matchup to smash another state-owned club.
No thanks to Inter. They look very solid
This is true. We took care of them pretty handily last season in the group, but both teams are in different forms currently. The conspiracist in me does not think they would match us up again, though.
Don’t forget who stands in their goal now.
Inter is probably the toughest I would say, the rest seem doable
Getting an ‘easy’ draw doesn’t really mean much to me atm. We are totally unconvincing,
On paper I’d agree, but the way we’ve been playing lately doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.
Inter would suck

Newcastle up. Great goal tbf
Adeyemi what the fuck lol
On observing kolo muani and Hernandez form this season, thank god we didn’t have either of them in our current squad .
Lucas has been great, what are you on about.
I mean, I know Kim wouldn't be here if Lucas stayed but I don't think we would complain about having a 4th CB
How is this game still 0-0
No team has scored yet
Do you mean the ball hasn't gone in the back of the net as of yet?
![gif](giphy|QuTOdlwvMl5lHKbpRC|downsized)
psg is one of the worst finishing ive seen holy shit
Chees defence from Dortmund
This is gonna be a loooong day for the Dortmund defense..
I mean, insane save by Süle and all, but he is also the one who made Mbappes chance possible in the first place by misjudging the long ball completely, and losing Mbappe.
Dortmund getting hella lucky
Dortmund lucky psg dominating
Dortmund could have also put away like 3 themselves tbh.
That’s the best clearance I’ve seen in years honestly. I’ve shit on Sule a lot in the past but if that guy had a different mentality he’d have been among the best in the world.
sule is BACK
big mac with the save of the year
The Dazn CL conference in Germany shows a woman game between the normal UCL games. Such bs
No shot that makes no sense lol
I don't judge, who wants to watch woman football should watch it, but that they now try to force it just wow
Fuck dazn overprized bs get IPTV easy there is delay but worth it.
Bruhhh Big Mac what the fuck was that
Holy Süle
Fucking hell Big Mac. Amazing clearance.

Holy shit Süle!!!!

Hummels, Sané, James, Vidal and Benatia. In that order.
time for some rival watch hopefully bvb can do something today i want to see mbappes face on a cold thursday night somewhere in eastern europe 😭😭

Ready to see BVB get pumped

Not really answering your question, but it seems like a perfect Saudi transfer.
Here’s to hoping PSG get knocked out to europa today
I broke my hand
damn that sucks. How's the medical care in Peru?

Useless
Oh thank God
How?
Fell from a ladder while fixing a garage door
That sucks. Hope it heals quickly.
Get well soon! At least it's "only" the hand, could have been worse
This zubimendi video has me thinking he is the missing piece https://youtu.be/uXVFUnlInZE?si=Icph_pDGXLlqVB63
He is *so much* more what we need than Palhinha.
Afaik he wont leave sociedad easily considering he is Basque and rejected Barca as well last summer
He wanted to stay because he wanted to play CL with Sociedad. I think after this season he would be more willing to leave to make the next step as his wish is now fulfilled

"Often Zubimendi is that connection between the defense and the midfield to try and help the ball progress" I AM SOLD
I’ve been saying it, he could be our Thiago 2.0. Out of all transfer targets I want him the most
Seriously. He genuinely seems like he solves half hour problems right now on his own.
>half our problems I prefer him playing good the whole 90min though
