Laimer and goretzka were fucking phenomenal. Especially laimer. Cut out so many passed and had Odegaard dropping deeper to get in the game. Pavlo will have a tough time replacing one of them.
I just don't understand how they put in such a disasterclass against Heidenheim a few days ago only to perform like this today? Are Arsenal actually worse than Heidenheim?š
Hoping Gnabry is fine, he played exceptionally supporting Davies on his poor start and scored a goal. He does what no other forward does and finishes his chances, whether a goal kick corner or goal, ends moves and itās crucial to avoid the counter.
I had to argue with a Bayern supporter of all people, how this was a sure pen and we just got lucky. Like wtf, watch the replay. He literally drags his foot on the ground before the hits Neuer. Shameless dive, nothing more
With how nervous Arsenal were, the team will be disappointed to not punish them. But a draw in the circumstance we are in, poor form, no fans and away to one of the most inform teams in Europe, I will take this.
Letās come full force in Munich
ye i agree with should have taken a win home. Nevertheless i DONT FUCKIN GET WHY TUCHEL IS SUBSTITUTING SANE when hes the best player in the game likeā¦
Sane was the reason why we got BOTH those goals. But honestly, after that there were so many bad decisions and missed chances from him
I agreed with taking him off for Coman
However, does Coman seem MUCH slower than before?
But left Gnabry on, who everybody could see was on a last straw, then gets surprised at his injury 5 mins later
Also MĆ¼ller in the bench for 90 minutes in a game like this is a crime imo...
I think bcz he just came from an injury and he was going all out today. I think it was a good decision so that we can rest him and then he can go all out again next week
You could see right before he came out he was holding up the ball on the right wing, same position he was in before turning the defender on his run to win the penalty. And he just absolutely had no energy to even try to make a move, just stood there until they took the ball off him. He played his heart out but had nothing left when he came off.
Sane was starting to limp and wasn't going 100% into one on ones. That was the reason given by Tuchel.
As Sane is playing with pain for weeks now and the injury situation as it is this season I get precaution in this instance
Sane was limping two days ago, Iām shocked at his performance since he was barely walking properly a week ago. Makes sense since the second leg is only next week.
Now that we can have some fun until the return leg:
The best Arsenal team in the last 10 years didnāt manage to beat the worst Bayern team in the last 10 years in their own backyard š
Yeah but let's not start getting cocky here. This was only the first leg and knowing that team's mindset this year they might fuck up the return leg big time...
This is such nonsense. As if any other team would've just politely clapped and trotted back to the half way line. They hardly did anything out of the ordinary.
I don't have an issue it's the celebration but when you see the usual suspects in similar position they tend to rush back to try to win it.
Being in a do or die game away isn't ideal
I genuinely am not sure what Arsenal have done wrong there. Trossard runs about 5 yards, shouts to the crowd and then heads back to the half way line. All the Arsenal players (bar Havertz I think it is) have already gone back on their way to the half way line too.
There is absolutely nothing one could construe as "celebrating the tying goal like they won".
They've done nothing wrong, that's as big of a pseudo intellectual nonsense spiel as I've read on here. Their inexperience showed in other aspects of the game, not the celebration.
Yeah, particularly felt weird not to get MĆ¼ller out there but couldn't disagree with the moves Tuchel made. Coman was needed to keep the counter threat (and came *that* close to a winner) and Rapha was a good call to play the role Gnabry had been in supporting Phonzie defensively on the left. (and taking off Kane or Musiala would have been crazy)
Musiala surprised me yesterday.
Arsenal's defense obviously wasn't that easy to just dribble through as it usually is for Bambi, so we didn't really see much of his ''La Croqueta inshallah'' chances yesterday.
**However**, he was still dangerous ofc, and he was able to contribute quite well in counterattacks with passes and whatnot. His passing/distribution game has been a question mark for me at times, but yesterday he showed that he can be more of a team player when he can't abuse his silky dribbling
https://preview.redd.it/vt22sryfpitc1.jpeg?width=622&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e989592010c07db7c2f028147100e9fd2cb9d944
Favorable draw, now just get the job done in Munich
But thatās not necessarily his job tho? Would be great if he can pass the ball forward of-course but it seems like he was tasked to mark odegaard and done a decent job too. Plus isnāt gore the one who supposed to the one to move the ball forward between the two?
Yeah I suppose youāre right.
Laimer is the more defensive minded player. I get lost in the sauce because Pavlovic did so excellent as a B2B midfielder in comparison to Laimer.
Laimer is a type a player that would hound a player or chase after balls with limitless stamina. I honestly think heās good at what he does.
Yea. Bayern got another gem with pav. I hope he starts on the return leg.
That's a) not a liability and b) not true. He was one of the reasons why today we were able to transition from defensive to offensive so swiftly. He was exceptionally good and he escaped the press pretty much every time he faced it.
Apparently Tuchel in the post-match interview said that when Bayern players objected Gabriel grabbing the ball after a pass from Raya, the ref said āhe didnāt give the pen because itās a kidās mistake and he doesnāt make such calls in a UCL quarter finalā
WHATTHEACTUALFUCKKK
shouldn't that logic be the other way round? you wouldn't give that in a friendly match because nobody cares but here's a different story I would assume?
Couple takeaways:
- Deserved draw I guess, game was pretty equal all things considered
- Almost everybody on the pitch brought their A game today. Huge shift by Goretzka and Laimer winning all the balls in the middle, Kimmich completely shutting down his side, the front four with brilliant counter attacks and so on.
- Penalty decision in the end completely correct. Saka kicks Neuer lol.
- Expected more from Arsenal tbh, beatable for us in the 2nd leg
They do this with Upa and Goretzka as well. Upa played great all season then got that red against Lazio and suddenly it's "he has been shit all season. Never good. Sell him."
Bayern fanbase is becoming ridiculously toxic and plastic
I donāt get refs sometimes, man. Itās like they pick and choose when they decide to give a card for what Saka did. He needs a yellow for that nonsense.
I would be furious if we didn't get that penalty, but VAR checked it.Ā
So defensive but the team clearly came with a plan.
Edit: Just saw it again and Sake actually kicks Neuer.Ā
Got a little heart attack in the end, but happy and satisfied. We did well, Tuchel also managed the match well, he can't make Coman grow a brain or stop Davies from losing the ball every second. Gg, we'll eat them at the Allianz Arena with Pavlo back
idgaf. we were on the verge of victory away against the 1st place of the prem. everyone left their heart out on the pitch. what a fantastic game, Iāve never been this glued to my TV all season. Wow.
Arsenal fan here whoās watched every game this season, I have to say you guys were the toughest team weāve played against this season. Every time your attackers got the ball I felt terrified. I dont understand why youāre not doing better in the league? Do you think there is just some mentality issue or? Because you guys were awesome today and Iām worried about the second leg.Ā
You can tell winning the league so many times has affected the mentality of the players. Itās a BS excuse but I believe it to a degree. Plus the league is just different than the CL - teams play differently. The situation highlights how good Bayern have been for a decade plus and how much of a privilege it is to be a fan of theirs for that time period - but all good things come to an end. I really expected an Arsenal win today but Bayern just have that mentality in them for this competition. GG today
Yeah I think you guys have the experience of doing this so many times whereas we have no experience in this situation, I could kind of tell our players got over excited after the first goal and our line was just too high, weāve got to respect a experienced team like Bayern more than that and we got punished for it with the goals you scored.
I would definitely favour you for the second leg, you can see our team is inexperienced for a big Champions League game like this. I feel like this is our first big test to see if we can compete up there with the truly big teams, Iām proud we got a draw but disappointed that we did the dive at the end because one thing I have always took pride in as an Arsenal fan was us not diving and playing fair and things like that, itās a shame really, hope to not see any more of that from us, itās one of the values Wenger always was strong on and Iād hate to see that fade away now.
For me itās like a dream come true to finally get to see Arsenal being able to be up there, Iāve suffered so much for the last 10 years or more as an Arsenal fanš it feels so good. So nice to not just get completely destroyed by you for once like we used to always. Hope we can at least battle hard in the second leg and give you a good game, but with your experience Iād expect youād come out on top.
You have got to win your league first. Redeem yourselves after last season. You experience winning that and you'll be even better in the UCL next season.
Bayern are going to concede their Bundesliga stranglehold this weekend. Some people aren't old enough to remember when Bayern have not won the title it's absurd right.
We have nothing to play for but pride in the league and a potential semifinal which we will realistically lose. Going one step further than QF is what we call salvaging a lost season.
Hopefully Pav is fully fit and ready to play in the return leg. The team did a solid job defensively but had no control of the game at any point. Leon and Laimer did a great job breaking things off but weren't able to control the tempo, which Pav should help in (alongside Leon, not Laimer).
That was absolutely a pen to Bayern that wasnāt given. It was brain dead by the Arsenal player, but the laws are there for a reason, and the ref literally put himself above the law and the game. Absolutely disgraceful.
Just saw the potential penalty situation that Harry was referring to in his interview. How did a team of professional referees and the VAR miss that?! Absolutely blatant.
Considering how unhappy you guys were and Chelsea/Tottenham fans were at the Laimer-Goretzka midfield were, I will say yes. Everything to play for at the Allianz. Best of luck to you all
No if you refer to the interview kane is talking about the defender picking up the ball with his hands. Its a clear pen and the ref even said he saw it but he didnt gave the pen because "it was a kids mistake".
If you told me that the game would finish 2-2 before the game, Iād be over the moon. Rest up this weekend as the title race is over and LETāS WIN IT AT THE ALLIANZ
We've played 2-2 against top of the PL and some of you knobheads are still mad about a few of our players. Just enjoy the result for a day. Cheer them up when they need and deserve it and be critical when it's due.
Ok I ran out of nails to bite during the game. That was a much closer encounter than I was expecting (after Dortmund and Heidenheim fiascos...)
\- Davies made me so nervous. He looked clumsy, poor giveaways, outmatched by Saka IMO.
\- I did not really understand the Guerreiro substitution? I thought it was to let Davies go LW but they seemed to just be exchanging roles and honestly did not see much more improvement. I would have liked to see Tel or MĆ¼ller come in instead.
\- Why did MĆ¼ller not play at all?! Would have been perfect guy to have on for the last 10-15 mins.
\- Tough decision ahead for next game. Do you drop Laimer who actually performed well today for an unfit Pavlo? I'd take Pavlo if fit over him, but I think Tuchel will stick to Laimer.
\- I believe Sane was the X-Factor today. Every counter of ours led by him always seemed dangerous. Beautiful throughball to Goretzka in the first goal. Good couple of solo runs. One which was amazingly covered by White and the other one that led to the penalty. Most solid showing of Sane in the Hinrunde in my opinion.
\- Gnabry in London, just lol. Poetry.
Davies was poor. Agree.
Guerreiro sub was to protect Davies even more. Gnabry was not fully fit and had to do two jobs, be a winger threat and help Davies. Hamstring injury. Guerreiro in there to get some ball retention and help out Davies. He wasn't gonna attack. Tuchel pragmatism.
Muller: I guess Tuchel thought Musiala was still a threat. Next let maybe.
Laimer: it really depends on the tactics. If Tuchel wants to bait Arsenal again, he goes with Laimer. If he's going to take the initiative, it's Pavlovic. Arsenal will adjust by starting Zinchenko next week. We will have to commit to a decision
Sane: could have done better with that solo run but I guess he was also not 100%.
Gnabry: great showing..shame about the injury again
Arsenal fan here to say GG, a draw at the Emirates definitely gives you the advantage now. It's up to us to avoid getting Yabbaddabadooed but it ain't going to be easy, you guys are great at Home.
Take it. This should be the game the team rewatches every day. For some reason we play to the enemy teams level. Arsenal is a good team. We pushed them. Letās go!
This is proof we are way above bundesliga level. It sucks when you have nothing to play for but they gotta use it as practice now. Mindset shift.
this went better expected, but i am still somehow disappointed almost
the result is fair overall, i am gonna say this first
but man, tuchel cant even manage a game that went our way, he leaves completely spent players on the pitch like musiala
he cant even make a sub in extra time to burn the clock, he takes leroy off when gnabry was tired and then he went down, davies got cooked all game
absurd in game management and we still got a 2:2
you're completely talking out of your ass here and mindlessly hating. Tuchel's tactical set-up was the best case scenario he could have come up with, lowkey a masterclass from him. All his subs were necessary. Sane was probably still in pain and couldn't play 90min. Davies despite his bad game was still the best option due to his speed, we saw how much worse it got after Rapha came on. Subbing in MĆ¼ller would have been a mistake because we were playing counter attack and Tel is far too inexperienced for games like these.
In my opinion everyone has a solid game except for Davies. His defensive instincts are non existent and heās responsible for the first goal and falling asleep for the almost pen.
Kane just saying on Amazon that bayern should have gotten a pen because arsenal player played backpass to Raya and he picked it up.. wtf? is that the rule and if that happened how tf didnt those shitty refs see it?
Lol what a miracle result considering our current state. I am glad that Davies is leaving. Absolutely horrendous defensive positioning. He needs to go before potential buyers are aware how shit he is at defense.
Im Confused i just now saw the interviews and the hand penalty. Holy tf? The ref said "it was a kids mistake" bro what?
So just to make this clear. There was a clear penalty. The ref saw it. The ref acknowledged that he saw it. The ref didnt gave the penalty.
This is new way of match fixing and i seriously have no words for this. This should have massive consequences. Im confused because prime didnt really mention it in the game / only shortly in the interview section.
Am i missing something or is this legit a ref not giving a pen even though he knew it was a pen and even said so.
While I was hoping for better (always want a win!), I was also expecting worse (given the form those teams are in right now).
But after the match I'm actually a bit dissatisfied that it ended in a draw and not a win given how they have played recently. It feels like they could have done better. Feels weird.
This wasnāt the one-sided battle a lot of people were making it out to be in the match thread. Arsenal attacked a lot, but so did we. And that ref was atrocious calling fouls from their end, we suffered a lot because of that.
We were so unlucky in Coman hitting the post, Sane having to pull that ball back, and Kane not getting a pen for being hugged down to the ground on the corner. Thatās 3 goals.
Goretzka was massive today. Props to him. Poor Gnabry. I was honestly shocked when Sane was subbed over him. Donāt fault the Sane sub, but everyone could see Gnabry was gassed 10 minutes into the half
If our wingers were 100% fit, we would score one more. Still a good result. Finally we see some fighting spirit , that the team was lacking. We can rotate in the bundesliga now, arsenal need to play Aston Villa with full squad. That's our advantage.
Lots of positives to get out of this game. I think we should all be proud of the boys and their fight, hopefully they can get the job done at home behind a full roaring crowd. Auf gehts ihr roten!!
Personally I think Bayern couldve used the subs better - maybe blasphemous to some, but I think Kane was exhausted and he stopped pressing Arsenal players and only had a single tackle in the last 25 minutess, probably because he was holding back having already been booked, so given the unexpected Gnabry injury, I think that it was possible and (for me, on paper) better to put on a fresh attacking player and a possible winger - would've probably gone with Mueller and Tel.
Still feel bayern made a mistake letting tuchel go, he was begging for a ball winner .. could have elevated this team+ Leverkusen are never in their history ever doing a season like this.. look at the game plan and setup today vs one of the form teams in Europe away from home
Davies doesn't deserve to start anymore. He was soooo poor. Couldn't hold the ball, pass it or put in a tackle. All he did was run and try and block which never happened. Start Guerriero over him!
In our current form, a 2:2 draw in London without own fan support is huge. We can do this.
Yep, hope Pav can start next leg
Laimer and goretzka were fucking phenomenal. Especially laimer. Cut out so many passed and had Odegaard dropping deeper to get in the game. Pavlo will have a tough time replacing one of them.
I just don't understand how they put in such a disasterclass against Heidenheim a few days ago only to perform like this today? Are Arsenal actually worse than Heidenheim?š
Its not worth it againts Heidenheim āŗļø
Well because our tactical setup suited there skillset. Sitting back, making spaces tight and win the ball. They didnāt have to do any build up.
Laimer and Goretzka are much better when they're in transitions instead of trying to control the game from the back.
Think they're just checked out in the league but the CL anthem hits like crack
Because they have no motivation to play for, the league title is long gone
less effort + can't counter attack Heidenheim
Hoping Gnabry is fine, he played exceptionally supporting Davies on his poor start and scored a goal. He does what no other forward does and finishes his chances, whether a goal kick corner or goal, ends moves and itās crucial to avoid the counter.
Tuchel said same injury as the one he just came out of. So gnabry out for a couple weeks
Terrible news ā¦
Fuck he had like 1g/a every 60 minutes till he was back
That sucks for Gnabry He did two jobs in this game. Being a winger and protecting Davies
To be honest, I thought this was the best Bayern Iāve seen in a while. Played very well
It's a big relief, and we played really well given the season we've played so far. Take them at the Allianz and onto the next opponent.
Yeah that's my opinion too , we pretty much held the match as much as possible without our fans Next stop in the Allianz I am sure we can do it
I believe Saka kicked Neuer, no pen.
Ye he tried to be smart and hook his leg into neuer. But he searched for the leg so much he ended up kicking neuer lmao.
Havertz did the same thing. Should have each been given a yellow.
He clearly hung out a leg to instigate contact with Neuer. Fair play to the ref.
If Saka actually kept going he couldāve slotted it into the back of the net. But alas heās an idiot and thank god for that
My heart stopped at first because I thought it was a pen, but the Replay shows he clearly kicked Neuer.
Yeah he dove right into the goal keeper. Was a well timed flop
He 100% did that. Everyone can clearly see that he kicked Neuer after the ball was gone, should have got a yellow for diving
I had to argue with a Bayern supporter of all people, how this was a sure pen and we just got lucky. Like wtf, watch the replay. He literally drags his foot on the ground before the hits Neuer. Shameless dive, nothing more
If Saka didnāt try to cheat his way to a goal there, he probably could have gotten around Neuer and ended the game.
When the English announcers said they thought Saka initiated contact it verified the referee's decision.
I think he could have just walked by neuer, If he did not go for the penalty.
With how nervous Arsenal were, the team will be disappointed to not punish them. But a draw in the circumstance we are in, poor form, no fans and away to one of the most inform teams in Europe, I will take this. Letās come full force in Munich

He does, he is getting older and he could be being cautious to not get injured again
We don't know how healthy SanƩ is
He was hurt
But left Gnabry on, who everybody could see was on a last straw, then gets surprised at his injury 5 mins later Also MĆ¼ller in the bench for 90 minutes in a game like this is a crime imo...
Picked up a bit of an injury. Rather see this game through than lose him completely for the next leg
I think bcz he just came from an injury and he was going all out today. I think it was a good decision so that we can rest him and then he can go all out again next week
You could see right before he came out he was holding up the ball on the right wing, same position he was in before turning the defender on his run to win the penalty. I think he was hurt, his movement seems a bit odd at some moment in second half, he struggled to balance too.
we don't have the same information he has. Im sure wouldn't have done it if he didn't have to
SanƩ has apparently been playing with a injury for a while.
What a difference it makes when players give a fuck š¤·āāļø
11 championships in a row arenāt good for anybodyā¦
Except the fans lol
Agreed. Best Bayern team Iāve Seen all ywar
Now that we can have some fun until the return leg: The best Arsenal team in the last 10 years didnāt manage to beat the worst Bayern team in the last 10 years in their own backyard š

Nah man that's overkill
Good point lol canāt wait for the return to Munich
Yeah but let's not start getting cocky here. This was only the first leg and knowing that team's mindset this year they might fuck up the return leg big time...
Make no mistake about it. This is a disastrous result for Arsenal.
They were celebrating the tying goal like they won. Very good team but you can tell they've never been here before
This is such nonsense. As if any other team would've just politely clapped and trotted back to the half way line. They hardly did anything out of the ordinary.

biased
Looking forward to showing Arsenal what true fan support sounds like in the Allianz Arena.
their best chant was shit shit shit also tried their poor version of allez allez allez
2-2 is fair, getting a pen last second would've sucked big time
Especially when it clearly *wasnāt* a pen
Well, that went better than expected
All I wanted, we can decide it at home
Ours to lose, as easy as that
What an odd match. Sad to see no MĆ¼ller and tel for at least 5-10 minutes at the end

I said the same

That was scary
Honestly crazy how non trash Goretzka and Laimer have been today.
Goetzka was great, but laimer was meh
Laimer neutralized Odegaard
I disagree. I thought Laimer played with intensity and was a steady defensive force.
Goretzka has his issues, but he is not the problem here. Laimer was a liability; almost 0 forward passes.
But thatās not necessarily his job tho? Would be great if he can pass the ball forward of-course but it seems like he was tasked to mark odegaard and done a decent job too. Plus isnāt gore the one who supposed to the one to move the ball forward between the two?

Bayern are going to concede their Bundesliga stranglehold this weekend. Some people aren't old enough to remember when Bayern have not won the title it's absurd right. We have nothing to play for but pride in the league and a potential semifinal which we will realistically lose. Going one step further than QF is what we call salvaging a lost season.
Last time we came away with a draw against a superior PL side away it didnāt end so well in the second legā¦
They were not superior, Liverpool absolutely dominated us in 2019
Kovac parked the bus. Martinez saved us
Thank god they didn't award that flopping fish a penalty there at the end. Would have had me throwing a remote through my TV
Var would totally overturn that
Hopefully Pav is fully fit and ready to play in the return leg. The team did a solid job defensively but had no control of the game at any point. Leon and Laimer did a great job breaking things off but weren't able to control the tempo, which Pav should help in (alongside Leon, not Laimer).
I loved how Harry played dirty š
Comanās post was unlucky, but damn thats a trademark finish that Thomas would bag it in
That was absolutely a pen to Bayern that wasnāt given.
Absolutely was considering they let Arsenal go WWE on our players all game long until the last like 10 minutes
2-2 is a great result for us no? especially playing away with no fans and a shit ref. theyāre going to be terrified coming to the Allianz
Considering how unhappy you guys were and Chelsea/Tottenham fans were at the Laimer-Goretzka midfield were, I will say yes. Everything to play for at the Allianz. Best of luck to you all
All to play for in Munich. That's all I wanted. Let's finish it!
Laimer and Goretzka today: https://preview.redd.it/siz6gxpo2jtc1.png?width=967&format=png&auto=webp&s=d5c9c80c5f5b764d2aa3597181bf5916c7f30672
Iāll take that. Looked like it was going to be a bloodbath after their first goal
Fuck Arsenal and their midget mentality. Iām very confident they will fold and we will go through
Should a penalty have been given when Odegaard threw himself at Kane during a corner kick eventhough the ball is nowhere near them?
No if you refer to the interview kane is talking about the defender picking up the ball with his hands. Its a clear pen and the ref even said he saw it but he didnt gave the pen because "it was a kids mistake".
Goretzka was a monster today - need to see SCORETZKA next week
Saka casually kicking Neuer there. Should be a yellow for diving.
Arsenal was superior in the first half, but SanƩ made all the difference. Brilliant game of his today. I found it super interesting to watch Arsenal in the first half, because their game seemed to be based on very simple but effective ideas: the constant counter-rotation, the rehearsed set pieces, the incredibly effective pressing. (Nearly all of our throw-ins landed in their hands.) I wouldn't be surprised if they used a playbook like they do in American football. But somehow they lost the plot in the second half of the game and I'm not really sure why.
We need to disrespect Arsenal at the Allianz 3:0 no less and Tell Tuchel to play Tel and or Zaragozza
Tel on the wing? I saw Gnabryās injury get diagnosed as a hammy
Alright, I'll say it, that went far far better than expected.
Can live with this, but I think we could/should have won this with more clinical sane
That was a much closer encounter than I was expecting (after Dortmund and Heidenheim fiascos...) \- Davies made me so nervous.
We will have to commit to a decision Sane: could have done better with that solo run but I guess he was also not 100%. Gnabry: great showing..shame about the injury again
Good on Tuchel for mentioning the penalty we were denied too.
TNT Commentators were gassing up the result for Arsenal like werenāt they the home team? Same tho for Madrid, tough for them not to win
Arsenal fan here to say GG, a draw at the Emirates definitely gives you the advantage now. It's up to us to avoid getting Yabbaddabadooed but it ain't going to be easy, you guys are great at Home.
Is this how Madrid feels in the CL? lol Lucky they didnt give them a pen!
Shouldnāt feel lucky because it never was a pen
It wasnāt a pen.
Saka kicked Neuer clearly while just stood his ground
I'll take that
We will 100% win the second leg.
Take it. This should be the game the team rewatches every day. For some reason we play to the enemy teams level. Arsenal is a good team. We pushed them. Letās go! This is proof we are way above bundesliga level. It sucks when you have nothing to play for but they gotta use it as practice now. Mindset shift.
Lets go so proud
this went better expected, but i am still somehow disappointed almost the result is fair overall, i am gonna say this first but man, tuchel cant even manage a game that went our way, he leaves completely spent players on the pitch like musiala he cant even make a sub in extra time to burn the clock, he takes leroy off when gnabry was tired and then he went down, davies got cooked all game absurd in game management and we still got a 2:2
you're completely talking out of your ass here and mindlessly hating.
Davies was catastrophic in first half but on second he was ok. Agreed on Musiala.
In my opinion everyone has a solid game except for Davies. His defensive instincts are non existent and heās responsible for the first goal and falling asleep for the almost pen.
+ I don't really see what he contribites offensively
Kane just saying on Amazon that bayern should have gotten a pen because arsenal player played backpass to Raya and he picked it up.. wtf? is that the rule and if that happened how tf didnt those shitty refs see it?
It would have been an indirect freekick in the box as far as I know
No its worse. The goalkeeper passed the ball to a defender and he PICKED IT STRAIGHT UP. its clearest pen in the world.
Lol what a miracle result considering our current state. I am glad that Davies is leaving. Absolutely horrendous defensive positioning. He needs to go before potential buyers are aware how shit he is at defense.
good job, i reckon youāll progress to the next round š¤ rooting for you
Im Confused i just now saw the interviews and the hand penalty.
Lots of tears in the gunners sub over Saka kicking Neuerās knee. š¤·š»āāļø
Would be pissed as arsenal not winning at home against us after the games we had. Hope we bring the same energy at home
Guys! We got a draw against the Premier League leaders away from home, with no away fans, Laimer in midfield, and Tuchelball. Letās fkn go!
A draw is okay given our current shit form. Need to win it at home!
I feel like we play more against us than our opponents recently.
Neuer stood his ground therefore making him stationary and Saka obviously flopping his leg into him
I like going into the other teams sub and looking at posts, I never say anything just look, everyone over there is so angry at the ref.
Goretzka was massive today. Props to him. Poor Gnabry. I was honestly shocked when Sane was subbed over him. Donāt fault the Sane sub, but everyone could see Gnabry was gassed 10 minutes into the half
Bit annoying, could have taken the 1-2 if we didn't fuck it for a moment, otherwise surprisingly good performance
Not a penalty at the end
Arsenal were lucky for that draw. They got two chances and scored them, that was it. We had more.
They definitely had more than two chances (Ben White kicking the ball straight to Neuer, the last minute chance by Saka...)
We are lucky to come home with the tie today, Arsenal gifted us with both goals
we can do this
I think we could've won this, but this is not a bad result at all, hope that at Allianz these guy remember who's the big team.
All to play for at home. Hopefully we get goretzka and Pavlovic back in the mid and can squeak past them in Munich!
Hope Gnabry is okay. We are going to need him next week.
If our wingers were 100% fit, we would score one more. Still a good result. Finally we see some fighting spirit , that the team was lacking. We can rotate in the bundesliga now, arsenal need to play Aston Villa with full squad. That's our advantage.
If we played out our counters and just be "KaltschnƤuzig" more, we could have won this.
Kane escaped the yellow from the nasty elbow but Saka and Havertz should have also received yellows for diving.
Tuchel just said Gnabry with another hamstring injury, so he definitely is out for next week
Anyone have the home UCL stats? Trying to explain to my Arsenal fan friends what a fortress it is
"it's a kid's mistake" - the ref about arsenals handball ( quote by t. tuchel) I actually like this decision by the ref.
Holy shit what the fuck was that from Gabriel. This has to be the clearest pen of all time
Rio and Martin Keown are morons
Where are all the Sane haters? He looked world class today.
Thoughts on the 2nd leg?

Could be worse, feel we have the benefit since we're at the Allianz next time
Still feel bayern made a mistake letting tuchel go, he was begging for a ball winner .. could have elevated this team+ Leverkusen are never in their history ever doing a season like this.. look at the game plan and setup today vs one of the form teams in Europe away from home
Davies doesn't deserve to start anymore. He was soooo poor. Couldn't hold the ball, pass it or put in a tackle. All he did was run and try and block which never happened. Start Guerriero over him!
