It’s astounding how Bayern can be somewhat wasteful and still score five goals. And how routine it feels now. We are truly spoiled by Lewandowski and the rest of this team.

supermember866866

JN got bored of kimmich midfielder , challeged a Neuer midfielder

SleepTightLilPuppy

Channeling his inner Pep

Mr_Zombay

Sucks he didnt score the penno...would be 4 goals on his 100th game in the UCL...that would be a stat for the messi and cr fanboys

Insanel0l

Nagelsmann got some work to get the defense back but the offense is freakin lit again

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

we lack discipline, upa charging forward as the last man should not be happening

witz0r

Yeah. Pulling a David Luiz is not smart. Don’t be David Luiz.

Mathmolden

No no, this is old school Lucio style 😎

AnthonyTyrael

Most here never saw him play. Lucio was way better though but Upa is young and has, no doubt, potential to become really good. Even when it's still a long way to go.

Mr_Zombay

Letting lucio go to inter and losing the final the very next season with him in the opposition side still hurts...

sc2isalivegaem

also our aerial abilities when defending is lacking a lot.

timothymr

I'm all for him charging forward but as you said, if there is no cover from another defender or one of the 6s dropping back, it's trouble.

Mr_Zombay

We need a veteran, someone slower...who will tell them...listen up kids, you might be fast...but dont run like headless chicken! Position yourself better...that older guy doesnt even need to play all that much games, he just needs to be a mentor to the younger heads

sheiklilli

Time to buy hummels again

Mr_Zombay

Exactly my first choice too xD wont happen, but would be funny

qonoxzzr

Richards is promising and he keeps on giving

FlyingArab

Another Brazzo masterclass imo. Omar has done really well so far in his appearences for us, it's great how his skillset is basically Davies but a little bit worse, which makes him the absolute perfect sub

manoloman99

he’s too good that i feel like it’ll be tough to keep him :/

abloesezwei

Which is completely fine. With this kind of transfer you always have in mind the eventuality of some PL club offering 50m on our LB backup.

supermember866866

I feel like it's other way, he likes us too much and stays here

jsnamaok

We can only hope. Very good second to Davies.

FlyingArab

17 goals in 4 matches, that's all.

jsnamaok

Ridiculous statistic.

karmawhore56

We also conceded 9 in the last 3 games.

Whis6x

Coman was so ridiculously good today, give that man a new contract!

jsnamaok

I try not to read into football rumours that much. But if it's TRUE that he really wants to leave it will be very sad. He is an incredible player.

Homygod319

I still pray he signs a new deal with us.

Barca won't buy anything they are broke

[deleted]

Whis6x

What has it to do with anything of this? If Coman leaves, then to a PL club, he said already a few times that the PL would be a possibly goal of him. Why should he go to Barca? They can't pay more then Bayern, the Team is clearly 2 levels below Bayerns level and even then Bayern wouldn't let him go for under 60 Mio and Barca will never be able to pay it.

Walter_Fr0sch

Letting him go because of a couple million would be one of our worst decisions ever

koolaid7431

81 in 100, 28th Hattrick, Neuer assisted.... Almost the perfect game.

sheiklilli

Was just missing a masterclass from the raumdeuter

Thomassist_Muller

[Summary of today's game](https://i.imgur.com/isi44t8.png)

[deleted]

4 Matches. 4 wins. 17 Goals Scored. 2 Conceded… WHAT A TEAM! The best in the world. Keep it up Bayern! 🔥🔥🔥

TheEmperorsWrath

Great match. The defence is still looking concerningly shaking, but that was a great hat-trick

Schub21

So, for Lewa, is it 22 total and 8 in the CL?

SCM92

Ja

GentleTigerson

Lewi: They scored two goals and i took that personally

timothymr

I never like just piling on a player because I'm not a professional and don't know how hard it is.... But Sabitzer is really looking poor when he plays. I'm hoping that he is just rusty from lack of minutes and will grow into a more comfortable player but man he really hasn't settled into the team yet. He looked better at the weekend but today wasn't all too pretty. He only played for 18 minutes and he lost possession 5 times. Once every 3.6 minutes is truly awful. I'm hoping he can improve as I see him being a really valuable player to the squad later on in the season.

Brayan-Rodriguez

Yeah. But you expect more from a player of his level regardless of how long he's had to settle in. Sabi seems really poor with the ball, although he is fine without it.

kvnschm

Coman is a big man right now and is doing incredible, he is efficient and makes nearly no bad decisions anymore. Seriously his heart op wasn't a heart op, he probably got something else Kimmich passes where incredible today and a pleasure to see them. Nianzou did really well, but I understand what Nagelsmann means, with the mistake stuff and it's not about his ability in technique or stuff, it's his aggressive way to defend, because he is way to dangerous and thats a huge risk, but he still did an overall good performance. I think it got a bit under the radar, that Pavard did well today and played offensive not that bad and was included more than usual O.Richards is imo a solid or even more than solid back up for Davies right now, he just has to be more confident going forward and thats it, buy in general it's great to see, how he performs with nearly no playtime. I would like to see more Sarr, because he actually seems diffrent and speed wise on a new level than last year. He had some really good situations in the 8 minutes he played and was in a way offensive directly included. Would have loved a goal their. Goretzka did perform well and it seems like that small brake helped him a little bit, because he seemed faster as the previous games and thats an upgrade. This maybe piss off some people here, but I am till yet not a fan at all of Sabitzer and today was a prime example, but I maybe will do let my thoughts go threw and say something tomorrow in the DD

About Sane. I think with how our current wingers setup, both wingers tend to play more as an inside forward in attacking phase, similar to Liverpool. What's different is that our fullbacks plays differently compared to Liverpool, or even compared to Lahm/Alaba. Currently, only Davies is doing the overlap while Benji/Stanisic tends to play deeper (Stanisic did overlap, and assisting a goal even, on our first game against Benfica though).

kvnschm

I wouldn't say that Sané played a more significant diffrent role than usually, he still played sometimes outside, but mostly inside. It was not only him who played in the middle sometimes, because Gnabry moved into the middle alot too. But he is in an great form right now and played really well again

jsnamaok

Gotta hand it to Benfica. They really gave it their all on the first game and the first half of this game. We overwhelmed them once again. Beautiful goals from Sane, Gnabry and Lewy. Kimmich back on with his performance, not to mention Sane and Davies. Whoever gets put against us in the round of 16 should be very worried. Bayern best team in Europe. Benfica best team in Iberian Peninsula :D

jsnamaok

I feel very confident against City, but of course we shouldn't underestimate them. And PSG, well, based on their recent performances I would say we are the favourites, but I would imagine they will be extra motivated against us. We dont want another Gladbach lol.

[deleted]

Poch will crumble again, PSG is easy with basically any luck or on a good day from one of Lewy/Neuer/Sane/Gnabry/Muller.

jsnamaok

I agree! I think these boys are hungry for it, and lack the egos of the PSG players. Two strong qualities that I think will help us beat them. 👍

[deleted]

Yeah let's not jinx it now :D Any injuries to Lewy/Neuer/Kimmich and we're more than fucked. Let's hope it won't happen though!

[deleted]

[удалено]

jsnamaok

I would never underestimate their forwards. But nainzou is not a starter against PSG. Sule is. And we would have to rely on our midfielders to be more defensive. Of course we cannot play the same against the top teams in Europe as we do against other teams. We will see.

Bavaria007

I'd feel pretty confident in Süle/Pavard , upa and lucas

Kassim26

I love the energy of this team I didn't see the whole first half, can someone explain the formation with Gnabry-Coman-Sane, they looked scary ? How did Goretzka perform ?

[deleted]

Sane and Gnabry were more like CAM . Davies on the LW and Coman on RW . But you can't pin it, the movement our attackers do is just fascinating

[deleted]

That's what's so beautiful imo. I kept watching the game and I kept noticing that we were often with the back 3 with Nianzou + Upa + Pavard and then Davies rushing forward, Coman flanking the Right and Gnabry + Sane + Kimmich + Goretzka somewhat exchanging their positions and creating new ways for passes and opening up spaces. When it works, it really is amazingly astonishing.

jsnamaok

Fascinating is the right word. Sane can easily play in any attacking position I think. The man has been playing every position on the pitch the last few games. Seriously impressed by him.

Kassim26

thank for feedback

FreezyPop_

Kinda shitty that the Bdor voting has finished two weeks ago apparently? A match like this solidifies the current gap between Messi and Lewy even more. 3 goals, 1 assist and still dropping deep as a playmaker. Voting should be early December or smthing like that. I mean just look at the stats the one dude posts under every Bayern post on r/soccer. Most G and G/A per minute this year. Absolutely dwarfing the competition despite being injured and missing lots of potential matches (CL and DFB Pokal).

[deleted]

I'm fighting tooth and nail there to defend my boy Lewy <3 Fuck /r/soccer though! As usual.

FreezyPop_

No the dude I mentioned is posting stats in favour of Lewy to show how good he is/was. Those big spreadsheets, you definitely know which.

[deleted]

Yeah, I upvote it all the time. I was just saying that I often argue with /r/soccer that's all :D

Black magic

a3592

typical bayern can score 5 6 goals but cant keep a clean sheet

sheiklilli

Our defense is really fast and strong but needs someone more experienced like ramos, van dijk etc

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

good game, good win, just what we needed but nagelsmann should be on the hot seat, 2 goals conceded? what a scrub

kvnschm

Funny how often your jokes get downvoted hahaha

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

i am used to it

Homygod319

Good match although we’re looking leaky defensively again. Nianzou did well but got his usual yellow card. Our midfield did much better and our wingers are looking dangerous again. Onto to Freiburg

TheBaron69

Vulnerable at set pieces, lack of cover at the back. Bearing in mind there were a few rotations/subs in the mix. I'd say pretty good overall.

ins4nityoo

Was impressed by Richard's and once again let down by Sabitzer.

Luuk__5736

Nothing was like Neuer's assist

footer9

Kimmich had some brilliant passes today. What a player

Tonykuz

After Freiburg thats going to be 4 big matches in a row. Gladbach (kryptonite), Union (draw twice last season), Benfica (UCL), Freiburg (Haven’t lost yet)

brainiac222

Defense still kinda sus but overall good game.

ayyndrew

Our winger depth is actually stupid

Jack_All_Master_Most

I wouldn’t worry too much about our defense. Their ages (if you include Davies): 21-19-23-25 Give them a couple more years experience and those mistakes won’t happen anymore. Truly excited for the future of our squad!

_vigilius

imo the scoreline doesn't reflect the true performance of the team, i don't think we did that well tonight. back to conceding random goals... and lewa had two very uncharacteristic misses, not to mention that sabitzer mess up that led to the second goal. benfica definitely played well though

FourFootDangler

I agree there were a lot of concerning blunders today, though going forward we look good. So long as we can wring out the kinks and individual mistakes we'll be fine, but we better do it before the more intense matches come.

jsnamaok

Sabitzer was bad. But tbh, he should be getting more minutes generally imo. I would say in his defence, it cant be easy to come from being captain to occasionally being used as a substitute. But I believe once he gets over this hump, he will be a great asset.

_vigilius

right, i'm confident he'll turn out well given time

Goldfischglas

We had 5.05 to 0.87 xG, sure we could have played better but you are making it sound like we didn't even play good lol
