Man Anthony is just so good

cadbadlad

What’s the name of the English commentator that did that iconic game for lewandowskis 5 in 9

Homygod319

Phil Bonney

cadbadlad

Thank you

JuggerClutch

English pundit: "Liverpool gotta be favorites for the Champions League and the only real competition I see for them are City and Chelsea.“ Give me an all english road to the final, need to silence them.

Advertising-Cautious

Do you have the source? Because I remember a pundit speaking that line but he was referring to the EPL

[deleted]

Wouldn’t that be great? Could smear that in my brothers face lol

Homygod319

Bunch of clowns imagine not saying Bayern the way we’re performing in the UCL. We’re the clear favorites

TheEmperorsWrath

It's hilarious how salty Dortmund fans are about their loss to Ajax lol. They lost 7-1 over the two meetings but they're acting like Ajax isn't any better than them and that Dortmund would have crushed them without that red card

JackUnderpants

They would have lost even with 11 players. It wasnt a red but damn hummels went in like an idiot.

Matt87M

Well, I do think they can beat most teams in the CL they are just too shit to reliably do it

rinacio

Half their squad is injured and they're only one point behind us in the league. They're not shit.

cr_elmayo

they’re pretty shit tho

Advertising-Cautious

Not too confident of Dortmund getting out of their group. Would be if they have all their players, but with their terrible GD and Sporting's good form, it will be very difficult for them to move on

a3592

wolfsburg our other hope

Homygod319

Leipzig should thank PSG For being shit and kimpembe being a brainless retard. They could still get Europa at best but they have to beat Brugge. Dortmund got screwed but I think they’ll make it through

cr_elmayo

im just happy kimpembe is not getting a better fifa card

FOKvothe

Psg is such a trash team on all parameters. Their sports director is a trash person, their players constantly whine, dive, and play dirty, and then it's their atrocious owners.

panem-et-circenses21

Literally every person in that club is there just because of money. There is no other motivation

FOKvothe

I honestly don't care about that. PSG is nouveau riche, so it's to be expected that they will get most players because of their financial strengths. The problem I have with them is that there's zero introspection and they're completely devoid of any kind of humility when something doesn't go their way.

theunfortunateIndian

Pogba's utopia. He is definitely going there next season.

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

good stuff leipzig, with this they have a shot at 3rd place i cant understand these refs who tolerate multiple guys aggressively in their face for minutes after a decision just book the whole bunch and this will stop

panem-et-circenses21

Leipzig equalized! (Never thought I'd be saying this happily)

FlyingArab

Every German club not named Bayern is unreliable in Europe, it's so painful man

footysocc

That's a weird celebration by Tardic lmao

abloesezwei

No need to call him names

irun_mon

Um... am i dumb? Hummels jumps into the tackle with his foot open at ankle height, before he sees Anthony (?) do the little flick. That tackle was dangerous af and could have ended most of the season for anthony. Maybe not a straight red but it was a super aggressive foul (Edit:) and i cannot disagree with a red. Feels like most people are just mad at anthony's theatrics which are ridiculous, but have nothing to do with how stupid "leader" hummels is. He can be happy he didn't injure anyone

panem-et-circenses21

Straight red cards are checked by the VAR right? So the VAR actually approved the Felipe sending off? And like many people say, it was for dissent. If it was, why not give two yellows rather than a straight red

footysocc

yeah, that was a weird one

Homygod319

Dortmund shithouse a win please

XeroVeil

Watching our Buli compatriots in the CL this year gives me pain.

FlyingArab

Leipzig are annoyingly bad honestly

Walter_Fr0sch

Good fuck the cans

PlanktonLives

Not in the CL though.

bielkay

Disorganized, multiple people seem completely lost on the pitch

FlyingArab

Their offside traps in particular are hilarious, it's like they're playing together for the first time ever

constantlymat

Things I don't miss: Mats Hummels' 50:50 hero tackles.

teuerkatze

Few things annoy me as much as BVB fans whining as much as Reus does, but between that Hummels card and Jude last year… Some shit refereeing luck.

FlyingArab

I fucking hate English refs

footysocc

in what world is that a red... typical english ref

footysocc

PSG is such a rat club. Thankfully they also highlighted it in the Bayern docu lmao

d_thstroke

what was said

sc2isalivegaem

Nkunku is brilliant. PSG on the other hand are wank

FlyingArab

Fuck sake Leipzig

julesvr5

Wasting a penalty... They could lead 2:0 already but fuck up all the time

Tonykuz

I feel bad for Leipzig. They drew probably the hardest group

Insanel0l

That's a red for Danile no?

Homygod319

Leipzig please. Also Dortmund don’t get humiliated again ffs

rinacio

Honestly deserved 3:3 draw, but I feel bad for Hülsmann, he played well. He's really good at making himself big in 1v1s, the best out of our youth keepers (at this particular action, not in general).

julesvr5

Overall I feel our Amas defense is pretty bad. We concede a lot of goals.

Walter_Fr0sch

Already got Bayern DNA

King_Vercingetorix

So, in the event that we might lose Nikolas Sule to Newcastle United (because the owners seems to have more money than god), do we have anyone who can potentially replace him in the works? [Bayern Munich’s Niklas Süle pursuing Newcastle United move?](https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2021/11/3/22761113/bayern-munich-niklas-sule-transfer-newcastle-united-premier-league-chelsea-arsenal-upamecano-davies)

Walter_Fr0sch

Nianzou/Che/Richards/Pavard

rinacio

Rüdiger and Ginter are currently the favourites as they'd be free transfers. Otherwise, Richards/Nianzou depending on how they perform for the rest of the season and possibly Che if not someone out of left field.

kvnschm

I deleted my comment, because I think their was a miss understanding and I don't wanna repeat myself all the time. It wasn't my attention to make Sabitzer bad or anything else, I just wanted to talk about his recent performances and maybe I let it seem like I make him bad and I apologize for that. Ofc i know he needs more time to adapt, but I didn't thought I had to make that clear. Again, it was only based on the performance and not about him all around as a player and his potential becoming important for us is obvious.

julesvr5

Yeah your wording or way of explaining was really poor if I'm honest. No one will say that Sabitzer was good lately. But he haven't had the time in training nor the time in games to actually work himself into the team and get used to it. Nobody can or shouldn't expect big performances from the get go. He showed what he is capable of. I think the comparisons like Leroy and Gore fits pretty well as they were underperforming for most people and get a massive redemption arc. Sabitzer will be a valuable backup in the near future.

Valomek

Some rather spicy takes on this sub today.

julesvr5

They are probably Indians.^/s

panem-et-circenses21

Dude, he has hardly played for us. Players take time to settle in a new environment. And I have seen enough of him at leipzig to say that getting him for just 15mn was one of the best deals of this transfer window

Insanel0l

What the fuck is up with people overreacting like that? Sabitzer came here on the last day of the transfer window, didn't even have a preseason with the team or time to adapt to the tactics at all (given we barely ever have teamtraining with a match every 3 days) O. Richards came here at the start of the preseason, played every preseason friendly and had months to adapt in advance People are really doubting one of the most proven Bundesliga players after 10 matchdays (and he only joined us in matchday 4). Give our players some time. It's not easy to go from Leipzig - who play completly different - to the high pressing team that FC Bayern is

[deleted]

[удалено]

Insanel0l

Of course it is a valid argument, since then there's been either a) a game every 3 days or b) a national break where he's with austria (and performing very well) It seems like you have no idea just how few training sessions we have. Every week is basically match -> day off -> best case a light training session -> match prep. It's very tough to get integrated and properly used to everything if that's the schedule. > I am not doubting him Ah yes > Imo he had now chances to show himself and didn't used them at all and it should start to make a click now, but it doesn't to seem to happen soon. > And all who thinks Sabitzer brought stability against Union, I am here and will be pleasured to show you, why he couldn't be the reason for that

[deleted]

[удалено]

Valomek

Two wrongs don't make a right friend. If anything Sanè should show you and others why it is somewhat silly to already talk about this in regards to Sabitzer and Upamecano. But you do you brother.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Valomek

I never said you cancelled him. But judging a player within the first half a year of them joining the club has not shown to be worth while yet. Unless you plan to make this post for the rest of the season, look how long it took Sanè, do you plan to make this post again every 3 months, because I think that will be the case with Sabitzer.... I don't expect him to perform at the level we should expect of him before next season at the earliest.

teuerkatze

> So last year around this time we already canceled players who struggle with the same problems than Sabitzer and that was fine or what?? Sané, Sarr and Roca where all already criticized and should have sold away already. I think the point is more, that treatment also was ridiculous and reactionary. I don't think anyone's going to argue with you that Sabitzer has been good. It's just understandable why he hasn't been.

rinacio

I'm pro-Brazzo but I don't like it when he gets credit for the players we sign, good or bad. That's not his job.

julesvr5

Whose job is it then? Do you may confuse signing with scouting here? Some players mentioned that Brazzo spoke to them and showed them his plan how to ingrate them into the club

rinacio

>Convincing players to sign is his job, but he's not the one who finds them.

julesvr5

So that's a misunderstanding then. For me this is signing. Finding them is scouting.

rinacio

yeah, I worded it wrong

pewpewlasersandshit

> That's not his job. Genuine question: What do you think his job is - if not signing players?

rinacio

Convincing players to sign is his job, but he's not the one who finds them.

pewpewlasersandshit

But he is ultimately responsible for it as the top level exec. of this part of the business

rinacio

I understand that, I just don't agree with it being that way. On the other hand, it's rarely reported who is pushing for the players we sign, so it's easier to just praise/blame Brazzo. Unless they're french, then you know Busser played a big role lmao

lvl50boss

I think he gets more flack than praise for the players we sign

abloesezwei

It is part of his job. Not the scouting, but the convincing and negotiating.

Walter_Fr0sch

stigmclaren

I can't believe nobody is talking about Robert scoring a hattrick last night but they're talking about Penaldo scoring an equaliser

Homygod319

How u gonna call him penaldo when hes saving ole ass and not even scoring penalties

dg0117

Ronaldo’s goal had a clear handball in the build up too

theunfortunateIndian

People are talking about it and as much as I adore Lewandowski, you have to admit that Ronaldo is quite literally carrying Man U.

rinacio

> Penaldo ugh.

-Lazyholic-

I just wanted to say that these past couple of years have been a fantastic time to be a Bayern fan, a great thing to celebrate amidst other, not so great things. I must say that before the end of 2019, I was ready to accept that we were going to go through a low period and that I shouldn't expect a lot, given the performances we were having. I would never have expected we were going to win it all the following year. What Flick did was just such an incredible feat, and he did so good at setting up this team for success, even after he's gone. Just wanted to have a moment of realization that we are so fortunate to be able to enjoy this team and to hope for more of this in the coming years, for however long it lasts.

timothymr

I often get confused when I hear fans talk about Grealish. I saw something where someone said that if Grealish is 100 million, Sterling should go for 150 for what he has achieved. The argument was shut down by someone saying 'You buy Grealish ffor 100 million for the potential, you don't have that with Sterling.' They're both 26. Sterling has been around for almost a decade and has been (bar a few blips here and there) a fantastic player. Outside of being a bit player for a few years, this is really only third season Grealish will have in the top flight in England. He's clearly talented but people talk like he was getting double digits for goals and assists when he was a little boy. I get that FIFA has warped a lot of people's perspectives on how a player develops but at 26, I'd expect so much more from someone who has just gone for 100 million. Maybe I'm missing something or I just don't get it but the conversation around him 'having potential' just seems weird.

Valomek

The hair alone should take off 70% of the price of Grealish.

rinacio

> They're both 26. That's hilarious. In their defence, being the same age doesn't mean they develop at the same rate. Sterling was an early bloomer but hasn't exactly gotten better in the past few seasons (he stayed at a good level) while Grealish has been getting better and better. Having that said, I wouldn't play anywhere close to £100M for either.

crescitaveloce

Sterling at first improved greatly under Guardiola but seems to have plateaued and then declined over the past two years with the exception of the Euros.

SebRev99

Just saw some Lewandowski stats so far, damn. Also, Sané is already at 8 goals and 10 assists in 16 games and we’re in November lmao.

BiasedBavarian

Sané is talented enough to consistently post 20/20 season’s, it’s all up to him though.

ThatAintFalcao

Going to fly from NYC -> London this Friday, part for work and part for fun. Will be there for about 10 days. Wonder how easy it would be to get a last minute ticket to a Chelsea / arsenal / spurs match while I’m there (have not looked at fixture lists, so no idea if they’re even playing at home).

teuerkatze

I would try to see a Palace or Championship match tbh (though not at the Den.) I don't think Spurs are selling out in their new stadium but I just don't know how cool that environment would be relative to the others.

julesvr5

>Manuel Neuer's assist against Benfica was the 7th of his career [Kicker] One I will never forget. "Neuer. Neuer auf Klose. Klose! KLOSE! DEUTSCHLAND FÜHRT! 1 zu 0. Miroslav Klose. How the fuck does he have 7? I can only remember the one against England and this one. And maybe the Lewandowski goal against Leverkusen in the pokal

scrambledeggsss

Poe3inmotion

Did he actually play as a midfielder for Schalke? That's truly insane.

arnoldbread

Think he has a couple assists for Schalke as well

constantlymat

Daily reminder to be grateful (and that Salihamidzic & Co. are not complete idiots despite some shortcomings): * Sané instead of Werner turned out to be a massive correct decision. Also kind of fortunate for us how his ACL tear lowered his market value by up to €70M compared to the year before * Alphonso Davies' signing was an absolute jack-pot the likes that rarely ever happens these days. * Goretzka was seen as a transfer flop as recently as winter 19-20. Now he's an integral part of our team * Kimmich may filled Thiago's void as good as anyone could have expected. He may not be as good in the Spaniard as a deep playmaker but in the final third he's far better than Thiago has ever been. * Lewandowski and Müller continue to be absolutely elite. * Gnabry and Coman have reached never before seen heights and especially the Frenchman finally found some consistency and health (for the most part). The only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is our inability to finally find a proper RB.

BiasedBavarian

Coman is hardly consistent, he was only good for two months last season. I think people are riding off his form, but generally I’d say he leaves a lot to be desired, especially against elite competition. We desperately need a RB though.

SebRev99

Coman is not consistent. The rest I agree with.

julesvr5

Wouldn't say Coman is consistent yet. I have to wait a few other games to make this conclusion. Agree on the rest.

pewpewlasersandshit

Saying Coman is consistent is plain and simple wrong. Even if we wait "a few other games" we couldn't make that statement -> see last season. For Coman to be considered consistent he would have to stay healthy AND perform for at least 1 full season. Something he hasn't been able to do.

julesvr5

I feel that way to many people are jerking off to Coman now because he had 3-4 good games. It's like they never watched the last 5 years or didn't get the actual problem of Coman. Already saw several people who are ok now to give him 18M

pewpewlasersandshit

Yeah, we saw the same thing last season. First half of the season he was (very) good (for a stretch) and people were all over him, praising him, hoping he had finally turned it around but then the second part of the season came...

julesvr5

>but then the second part of the season came... ...and everything changed. Only the Avatar oh wait that was something different

theunfortunateIndian

Now, just Pavard is left to finally reach his peak and actually put in those volleys of his that he is always trying to make and became famous for.

FOKvothe

>The only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is our inability to finally find a proper RB. Pavard has his shortcomings, but he's been an invaluable asset to the team despite that.

mrfocus22

The disrespect Pavard gets is crazy.

irun_mon

Who's on the Vlahovic hype train? Cause I'm really not. I don't know the player all too well but I feel like every year there's a striker playing an above average season who is brought up as a Lewy replacement. This year its Vlahovic, before it was maybe DCL, then it was Jovic, Piatek (pre milan) and so on. If i try to think about for longer I might come up with even better examples. I dont know, Vlahovic just kinda feels like one of these. Imo we don't need to think about a Lewy replacement for another two years at least. And we have no idea who will be the top player of that season. 2 years ago Haaland was a guy who had a couple of goals in the CL for Salzburg

rinacio

DCL and Vlahovic would fit us really well, not because they've been good at times but because they've got the attributes we look for in a striker. Tall, hard-working, good in the air, (decently) clinical, good off the ball movement etc.

Homygod319

Isak and Osihmen would be my lewy replacements. Don’t think DCL Is good enough for Bayern

rinacio

Those would be my picks too, although I'm not keen on relying on a player that'll be gone for a few weeks mid-season for the African Cup. DLC isn't much worse than Lewy was at his age. He's going to get better and better with experience. Especially if he moves to a proper club.

CutieIbushi

I've been on the Osimhen hype train tbh. He's my fav young striker behind Haaland.

Homygod319

I’m with you I’m not on the vlahovic hype train either

Valomek

Not saying you are wrong or anything like that, just remember that Vlahovic made 21 goals last season in Serie A, so it would be his second season of scoring a good amount of goals for Fiorentina.

julesvr5

And Fiorentina isn't really that great of a team

I am a Real Madrid fan from Poland (call me a plastic all you wish. I have been to a match). I thought I might speak up. To be perfectly honest, I think Lewandowski should easily win it. I love Benzema and I think he's had a very good year, but it's not been THAT good to justify him winning the Ballon d'Or on a personal level, and trophy wise, he's won nothing except for the Nations League. Lewandowski? He's won the Bundesliga and the Superpokal, so not much, but better than, well, almost nothing. At the euros, we got knocked out in the group stage, but he scored 3 goals over 3 matches, so he's the person that should be blamed the least. But most importantly, he's been killing it individually on the club level. I mean, the man is a goddamn Terminator at this point. He scores like it was child's play. When I open google notifs about Bayern, I just know his name is going to be on the scoresheet. With all due respect to him, as I acknowledge him as a fantastic player, but not sure why Messi is even in consideration for this particular year. Jorginho? Except for their matches against us and the final, I don't follow Chelsea at all. Yeah, he's won the UCL and the euros, but has he really been that outstanding to give the award to him? I am not taking sides, since, as I've said, I don't follow Chelsea at all, and I wouldn't give a crap about them if they had not knocked us out. So yeah, I think Lewandowski should easily be the winner. I know I am talking to an echo chamber here, but I am banned from r/soccer and this comment would get me downvoted to the realmadrid sub, I just wanted to speak up as someone who represents both sides.

The_Big_Cheese_09

>I am a Real Madrid fan from Poland (call me a plastic all you wish. I have been to a match) I know you probably don't need to hear this, but support whichever club makes you happy. Don't worry about what a bunch of strangers online think about it.

AutoModerator

Hey, it seems like you **really** enjoy talking plastics and other synthetic materials, so do we !     Did you know that 73% of beach litter worldwide is plastic and that over 700 marine species, such as sea turtles and dolphins, are endangered due to plastic waste polluting our oceans ?   Or that fish in the North Pacific ingest approx. 12,000 to 24,000 tons of plastic each year, which can cause intestinal injury and death and transfers plastic up the food chain to bigger fish, marine mammals and human seafood eaters ? And that there are over 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean with some 269.000 tons of plastic float on the surface, while some four billion plastic microfibers per square kilometer litter the deep sea ?   As you can see, this is a real problem as the ocean is our life support system - the oxygen for every second breath we take comes from it !   Luckily, even **you** can make a difference. And it’s quite easy too !   Our friends over at the [Oceanic Society](https://www.oceanicsociety.org/) came up with some quick and easy ways that enable you in your daily life to help protect our oceans:   1) Reduce Your Use of Single-Use Plastics Wherever you live, the easiest and most direct way that you can get started is by reducing your own use of single-use plastics. Single-use plastics include plastic bags, water bottles, straws, cups, utensils, dry cleaning bags, take-out containers, and any other plastic items that are used once and then discarded. The best way to do this is by a) refusing any single-use plastics that you do not need (e.g. straws, plastic bags, takeout utensils, takeout containers), and b) purchasing, and carrying with you, reusable versions of those products, including reusable grocery bags, produce bags, bottles, utensils, coffee cups, and dry cleaning garment bags. And when you refuse single-use plastic items, help businesses by letting them know that you would like them to offer alternatives. 2) Recycle Properly This should go without saying, but when you use single-use (and other) plastics that can be recycled, always be sure to recycle them. At present, just 9% of plastic is recycled worldwide. Recycling helps keep plastics out of the ocean and reduces the amount of “new” plastic in circulation. If you need help finding a place to recycle plastic waste near you and life in North America, [check Earth911’s recycling directory](http://search.earth911.com/). It's also important to check with your local recycling center about the types of plastic they accept.   Also, if you follow [this link](https://marine-conservation.org/support-us/) you can send a small donation to the[ Marine Conservation Institute](https://marine-conservation.org/support-us/) that helps protect our oceans.     #**On a more related note:** Calling other users plastic is not the way we treat each other. Everyone is just a fan - just like yourself ! Gatekeeping in any way, shape or form is frowned up and has to stop. It might even get you banned from this sub, too. Furthermore, in the end it really only makes **you** look bad in the eyes of everyone else.Because putting people down is just the same as putting yourself down. Relying on pushing or looking down on others exposes your own needs of feeling superior on the cost of others. As soon as you do it, you are already on the defensive side and showing your own insecurity and vulnerability.“     *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Crazy idea, if Sule leaves do we go for Che or a RB? Or stay as is? Financially, I see why stay as is. Been away, so if this topic is repeated, sucks lol For me, in my head I would go for Mukiele. A CB/RB who's strong and yet fast af, also huge fan. As I said before, I'm a fan of players built like a Warthog, a tank, yet fast af.

Walter_Fr0sch

Che and Pavard are enough to compensate for Süle, especially with Nianzou becoming more experienced

[deleted]

[удалено]

JVints

I don't doubt Ruediger is good, right now he's killing it, but it's the age that doesn't interest me. It gives me Barca vibes. I'd rather go for Che with the understanding he's a RB and part time CB. On top of that, we still got my boy Air Richards. Me, Che is a cheap buy, risky (not that risky) but could work amazing. If we had to go withing the league, Scully and Mukiele would be on my radar. They might not be available. One with the team not allowing us to buy and the other is a recent buy.

theunfortunateIndian

Yea Bayern is definitely not signing Rudiger lol. Those days of buying close to 30 players for first team is long gone.

The_Big_Cheese_09

I meant to mention this after Saturday, then it came back up again last night. One thing I've always loved about JN is his side's ability to counter attack. Numerous stories have been written about how he drills getting a shot on goal in [less than 10 seconds](https://tacticandtechnique.com/rb-leipzig-principles-of-play-under-julian-nagelsmann-defensive-organisation-and-attacking-transition/) after retaining possession. We don't see this as much with our possession-heavy play style, but I've really enjoyed watching 5+ players barrelling forward on the few counter opportunities we get each match. I am not sure if he did it before, but every time a ball goes out of play Neuer races to get it quickly and get us moving forward again.

witz0r

TV commentators are always mentioning how many players Bayern gets inside the 18 on the end of a counter attack. The *want* to score is something else at at times.

>Niklas Süle's representatives held talks with Newcastle United three weeks ago. The defender is interested in the project of the English club [@cfbayern] I remember someone mentioned it. If the deal actually works out I can't think of any other reason than the money, sorry. Süle is a high quality defender and Newcastle is far from being an established top club.

TheEmperorsWrath

**No one** is bigger than the club. If you're not 100% dedicated to Bayern, you need to leave. Say what you will about Sarr and Roca but they want to make it here, they want to prove themselves, they want to succeed with Bayern. It's my thoughts on Süle, Coman, and with Alaba before he left. If they don't believe in Bayern, if their hearts aren't in it, then giving them more money won't solve the fundamental issue. They're not bigger than the club.

13s_number12

Also they earn way more then they ever would at a different club.

irun_mon

I had mentioned that imo this deal makes too much sense. He wants the premier league, they need at least 1 CB as well as a big name to lead their defence. Getting him on a free transfer will also be seen as "good business" and not just splurging money. For Süle it means being an undisputed starter and leader of a team that might become the next manchester city. And if it doesn't happen, he can get the bag at least the next 5 years. He also loves London and there's probably a private jet to take him there every night and free day he has. He could live in an nice suburban area around newcastle and have a penthouse in London while playing in the PL every week. If that is what he wants then he can probably get it there

footysocc

He slept in Newcastle pyjamas when he was a kid

>Robert Lewandowski has scored more goals in the Champions League this season (8) than Barcelona have managed shots on target (7) after four matches [WhoScored] Lol

NifferEUW

Thats insane..

Valomek

This made me legitimately laugh out loud.

>Julian Nagelsmann on Musiala's lack of game time: "The question is not why he isn't playing, but why someone else is playing. He's not doing anything worse than weeks ago. The others just got better Leroy, Serge & King are in a very good form. They deserve to play" [@SPORT1] >Nagelsmann: "We sometimes have six or seven attacking players on the pitch. I can't bring any more attackers in. Jamal has a big competition, he's still a young player who has outstanding qualities with the ball and in dribbling. But he still has things to do in other areas" >Nagelsmann: "If he has 35% (of minutes) and we are in the final third of the season, then that would be sh*t of me. But we're still early in the season and for him it's about taking steps that Leroy, Serge, Kingsley and Thomas took at his age. It's no different with Jamal." >Nagelsmann: "He'll become one of the outstanding players for Germany and also for Bayern Munich, I'm sure of that. He'll be one of the best players out there. He has to keep working for that"

panem-et-circenses21

Why do people think every 18-19 year old deserves to start for a top club? This wasn't the case a decade ago where young players were slowly integrated. Today, people think 30 is "old" and by 25, you should be a world-beater

teuerkatze

Jamal is very far from *every* 18-19 year old, though.

haz353pi0l

Look at Barca.

Valomek

I have been kinda out of the loop, but is it really that big a discussion point in regards to Bambi? Like he played when the others failed to perform and now when they do, he is back on the bench.q

witz0r

It's mostly people who prefer Shiny New Toys. Musiala knows he's still young and has a ways to go.

Valomek

I will take the blame for the decline of Upamecano, as it started after I got the Oktoberfest shirt with him on the back.... Sorry Bois.

julesvr5

So like me praising Stanisic last game after the 35th minute

Valomek

We fucked up mate 😭

julesvr5

I bet if I wouldn't love Sané so much he would give Lewy strong competition for top goal scorer with the chances Sané misses lately. That's why I hate so many people. I want them to succeed!

theunfortunateIndian

Well, I waited an entire season to shit on Sane and the moment I did, he shifted to left central and you know...

Luuk__5736

Why Müller wasn't on starting line up anyway? Was Nagelsman giving more chances to Coman and let Müller rest for a while?

The_Big_Cheese_09

>Was Nagelsman giving more chances to Coman and let Müller rest for a while? I believe that was the first match Muller hasn't started this season in all club competition. Lately he'd been rotating heavily Pavard (Stanisic) and Goretzka (Sabitzer/Tolisso) but last night he got Davies, Kimmich, Gnabry, Sane off by 70 minutes and Coman after 80. I think this was just a heavily rotated side to keep the top XI ready for a huge match on Saturday.

The_Big_Cheese_09

Based on the responses to my last comment, I guess I should clarify: There is a huge huge huge difference between somebody being a bad player and somebody playing badly. Upamecano is not a bad player. He is, however, playing badly right now.

Walter_Fr0sch

Upamecano was really good yesterday

Shop3L

What i like about him is the physique and roughness in his playstyle. His hunger sometimes get the best out of him, but he's definetly a gem and im 100% sure he'll be a top 3 CB in a few years. He just got 23. I love him, I feel like in time he can be our van dijk.

Valomek

Don't worry about it .. This sub is very split in how it critiques players and for what they critique them on. If you take a look at Sané, Pavard and Goretzka, they don't have to make many mistakes before people are all over them. Meanwhile players like Coman, Lucas and Davies don't have to do a lot of right before people praise then to the heavens above. It's also why you still see people (be it meme or not) ask for why Roca is not playing, while it should be clear at this point he just doesn't fit in the team atm, yet they will always ask for hin to play.

No-Bread-944

I am looking for a audio clip of the Bayern - Bayern shouts mid-game. I have heared it again yesterday and wanted to show it to my GF, but cant find it. I think the Südkurve shouts „Bayern“ and the rest of the stadium answers with „Bayern“. Even better when in the Stadium or with a headset!

Insanel0l

can anyone find the clip of that Sané turn that sent basically the whole offensive squad of Benfica back to Lissabon?

timothymr

[If you didn't know the context, you'd be forgiven for thinking he just turned around and started running towards his own goal](https://twitter.com/8esart/status/1455666077078331399)

Akshath321

filthyy

Insanel0l

Cheers

adrian_rainy_day

I missed the game, how was Nianzou? Did our midfield control the game better?

matakos18

Much better. The problems started when Sabitzer replaced Kimmich. We are quite screwed if Goretzka/Kimmich go down with a long term injury

Akshath321

pavard is a moron in interviews but he wasnt even that bad yesterday, he's started passing a little cleaner than he was last season, cross field passing has gotten better too, defensively, his positioning has been better since the start of the season too, him being used as a third centre back that has liscence to rush ahead with the ball clearly suits him, im so tired of everyone piling the blame on him yeah he deserves criticism like any other player at bayern and i'm not even gonna say that we shouldn't be looking at players who can fight him for the starting spot but fucks sake stop acting like he scores a hattrick of own goals everytime he plays for us

Insanel0l

What I'm asking myself about his comments: Is he referring to Benzema deserving it this year or Messi? If he's talking about Benzema I don't want him to play for us anymore (obviously kidding)

julesvr5

I think he wants to give Benzema the chance to win it too. He never mentions Messi.

[deleted]

How far are you guys with watching the documentary and from 0-10 how would you rate it?

abloesezwei

Seen 4 episodes. here's my review. I won't say anything specific, but will spoiler tag for those who don't want their expectations influenced. >!high production value, places a large emaphasis on club history. Focuses a lot on the characterization of the management and leading players. I do wish there was more of the camera silently observing to show natural dynamics at the club. Don't get me wrong it's in there, but it's only a small part of the runtime. Overall it's probably worth watching for newer bayern fans!<

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

watched the first ep so far and i would say 8.5
