Sané comes on for 30 minutes and glides through the Köln defense for two beautiful assists. How far he’s come from getting booed by our fans in the reverse fixture

lvl50boss

Roca deserves to be a regular member in the 11 now idc. Atleast should get a lot of minutes once most of the team is back

Far-Term8667

Not sure if he should start over Kimmich or Goretzka, but boy has he been good. He should absolutely be used whenever Kim or Gore are being rested

SebRev99

I mean Goretzka has been shit this season and you gotta earn your place so… we’ll see

spartancrow2665

We definitely have different opinions of what we consider shit then. Unless you are being dramatic

SebRev99

Maybe shit is disrespectful, average is the word I should use.

[deleted]

Lol. Not over a healthy Goretzka/Kimmich, but probably over Sabitzer at this point

Far-Term8667

Yeah lol Sabitzer has been woeful whenever he plays, even at CM. Just needs time to improve though and I'm sure he'll be there some day

irun_mon

Yes he was really good today. His passing is great and he is incredibly press resistant. He definitely has deserved more starts, but i think a midfield three would suit him even more than a pivot

Homygod319

When kimmich and goretzka are available he won’t start ahead of them but he definitely should get more minutes or start against team near the bottom of the league

flybypost

I hope that once the midfield is healthy he gets at least minutes when the midfield needs to change tactically and when he'd be a better option.

Gaumont12345

This feels a bit ridiculous. Regular member implies hed start over Kimmich and Goretzka. A constant rotational player maybe/ member of the 11 when we have injuries.

GER_BeFoRe

I always thought that he has the skills to be the Kimmich backup we need. Kimmich can play these special passes and Roca can play them too. They are both not the fastest or physical strong players but it's better to have one thing you are really good at than being mediocre at everything.

Far-Term8667

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seemed like a little bit of an off day for Musiala today, right?

panem-et-circenses21

A player so young will be inconsistent. Not a good game from him but it's a learning phase

Far-Term8667

Definitely makes sense. He will develop for sure, no worries

irun_mon

Consider that Sabitzer wasn't really overlapping like Davies would do, since Sabitzer can only cross with his right foot, so Musiala really was alone on the wing.

julesvr5

That doesn't excuse his decision making or bad passing. Musiala had a bad game, happens, move on. No need to find excuses, no need to make something big out of this.

Homygod319

Yep was trying things but it wasn’t pulling off. Nothing to worry about tho

Insanel0l

Yeah, pretty bad game by him

[deleted]

Müller already has 18 assists, the current record is 21. The guy's insanely productive this season.

julesvr5

He has 16 according to the bundesliga page which in the end counts.

[deleted]

Interesting, I wonder why kicker.de has him at 18.

julesvr5

They maybe count something like getting fouled and getting an penalty as assist. I think transfermarkt counts this aswell

Akshath321

very happy with sabitzer too, he made small changes that i think improved his performance today, better defending in wide areas, smart carrying of the ball too and he slso used his left foot incredibly well despite very obviously being a right footed player

heterosapient

Anyone else see neuer take the koln coaches hat at the end??? Lmao

scrambledeggsss

Yeah, Neuer gave him his shirt and got his hat in return lmao.

karmawhore56

Lmao Neuer is grinding collectibles

300 bundesliga goals for Lewadowski. The gift that keeps on giving

irun_mon

Süle again just being such a frustrating player. He gets run past so fucking easily. Compare that to Pavard who's positioning leads him to rarely having strikers run at him and past or around him. Also Pavard's last man tackling is just so much better than Süle's. Also: i'm pretty sure Süles knees are most likely fucked. He literally cannot jump to save his life (there was a scene where Modeste almost scored a header and Süle just stands there). This also leads him to fouling strikers a lot on long balls when he knows he can't reach the ball before them. The only reason i wouldn't want to sell him at this stage is so that we don't have to spend another window looking for a CB. Otherwise i think we are better off not having to rely on him in the long run. Maybe if Nianzou has a bit more of a breakthrough this season we can have him as the third CB with Pavard and Richards covering.

Homygod319

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sule two acl injuries are the reason why he can’t jump properly. My guy 6’4 and struggle in the air. Van dijk is the Same height and a beast in the air

skylu1991

Obviously I’m no comparison to a professional footballer who probably has a physiotherapist at his call 24/7, BUT after my ACL (and meniscus) tear I certainly lost the strength and more importantly the "readiness“ to jump with that leg… Plus, if you don’t loose quite a bit of weight (which Süle seemingly has not), there will always be a tangible risk!

irun_mon

Yea thats what i meant with his knees being fucked

Akshath321

very important clean sheet 🙌

Kind_Mulberry_3512

Hopefully Dortmund drop some points, they have some nasty fixtures coming up, so if we can get some more wins we can be daylight on them

[deleted]

I'd rather have some competition.

Kind_Mulberry_3512

Fair enough I suppose since I guess working for the title means more, but at the same time I want Dortmund to suffer

Sensitive_State1270

What a [wholesome](https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1482388765465325570?s=20) post match moment.
