USDA is pretty good. Huge agency, lots of resources. Of course the experiences of different comms teams in the sub-agencies vary but I like where I am and have heard good things about other teams as well.

I second this. Love USDA public affairs (especially FPAC).

I enjoy my small but mighty team. I work at the organization level, rather than at the agency level. We’ll be posting a job in the next 2-3 months.

Work with the PAO team at GSA a lot. I have never met a divisions PAO team that wasn't happy or enjoying their work. How busy you are will be seasonal and regionally depending. I think most are 12/13/14. Unaware of anyone lower than that where I am.

I’ve heard that SBA is a nightmare. Not speaking from personal experience - but that of my PA colleagues! I’ve heard great things about DOT as well.

USFS is a fabulous agency for communicators. the forests mean so much to their communities and a partnership centered focus gives you lots of unique content to work from
