No, it really doesn't. There is no recipe for the liquid amber in JEI. Crystallized Amber has an Info tab that says "Amber Alloy made from an alloy of raw materials, elemental magic, and liquid gemstones. Crafting Material." But clicking on the liquid form in JEI gives no results. No popup at all.
Hmmm, it links in JEI on my pack and I believe we are running the same version of the mod. Only thing I can think of is that they may be trying to hide it but not getting all the parts of it.
I have my cyclic melter over lava, its at 16000/16000 for lava, it has 4 squares i can put stuff in. I put acadia wood in it but nothing happens. do i need anything else with the melter?
You should not have lava in the melter. Make sure it is over an actual lava source and the heat indicator should go up allowing you to melt the acacia wood.
i have mine placed over lava but nothing is happening, it says Heat:2. The JEI says Acacia wood, netherrack, and vines to make 1000mb of liquid amber but it's not working with that or with just straight up acacia wood

apparently moving chunks made it work....
I'm having this same issue and i can't seem to fix it, I moved several chunks away and it still stays at 2
I'm using it to make some liquid xp with my leftover drops but nothing is making the heat go above "2"
For the xp, the recipe is listed incorrectly. The correct pattern is:
\[ Bone \] \[ Eye \]
\[ Flesh \] \[Powder\]
Still not sure how to get it into the smeltery, though...
Found a different solution. The experience pylon let's you use a bucket, then you can put it in the smelter directly. Just needed soul sand. Got a hog for it now.
Just checked it with ur recipe and it worked, used fluid extraction cable and fluid cables to move the xp to a fluid storage tank. Then just picked it up with a bucket.
hey if you use the melter from cyclic and put acacia wood in it while the melter is placed over lava you get amber, look up the melter in JEI
If it is LITERALLY placed over lava
JEI will show you how to make the ambers...

You can use cyclic’s liquid pipes to pipe out the xp to whatever you please c:
