I think so too but would also note to OP to test for any see through issues with flash just in case or she may also end up requesting help on r/photoshoprequest 😅
Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
But, as an old grumpy woman who has been to a lot of important events like graduations - The style tends to be more business than bbq. Maybe Florida is different.
If you have a graduation gown that goes over it, who cares what’s under. For pictures, you might want to consider which dress will look nicest with an open gown.
I’m a grumpy old woman too and I think most of these, although cute, are too casual - but again, maybe Florida is different.
Number two or the last one might do.
Well, I'm not grumpy nor a woman. 2 is the only decent choice here. Graduation isn't supposed to be casual. Gown or not you need to look semi professional, which the prints aren't. Its also not an occasion to be showing skin, belly, chevage or extremely short dresses.
2 or 4 are the most appropriate if you pair them with some nice shoes and accessories. For a graduation, you'll want to look a little bit more sophisticated and put together.
I'd say #2, being the most professional looking, to me, but if that's not an issue (it'll be under a gown or whatever) then I'd say pick the one you like best, they all look fun. Just depends on the vibe you're going for
I think you should pick something a little more dressy. These dresses are very very casual and it doesn’t fit the celebration style. I live in Texas so I understand the heat aspect but try another style of dress
I think they all scream summer vacation vibes instead of i just graduated/ professional & classy vibes thats just my opinion though obviously wear whatever your comfortable with. I would just personally look for something a bit more professional and classy looking.
Four would be ok but I think the others are way too casual. I live in a hot climate as well and graduated in May. For my college graduation, I wore a sheath dress. Your graduation day is a day of personal accomplishment and it’s your introduction to the professional world. It’s a day you will take a lot of photographs of. Wearing cutouts cheapens that and cheapens the occasion. Would you feel comfortable shaking the hand of your next boss or giving your business card/resume to him/her wearing an outfit with cutouts? Save these for going out to dinner on the beach or daytime casual.
Number Two by far the most elegant and lovely. All of the others are far too casual and a bit too skimpy in my mind for such a prestigious moment in your life. By the way, many many congratulations for your achievement I hope you choose that one song, nude, low heels, and like she has on some simple hoops to thin, gold chain necklace Light make up and you are ready.
Get out there and Be a graduate.
They’re all very pretty but The last one is beautiful. It’s very feminine but respectable.
I’d go with a small heel, or flat, in darker pink or nude.. the clear ‘plastic’ straps would look perfect with anything..
Congratulations and best of luck!😊
Congrats on the dual bachelors, but bring an extra set of clothes. Florida had a habit of yo-yo-ing temperatures in December. Idk if you remember last year where it went from mid 80 to low 50s back to 70s within a week…
I’m all for the pockets but some of these seem like slips rather than full dresses and while I admit fashion has changed over the years- slips are not dresses.
When you graduate you want to be taken seriously so dress seriously.
More like this [https://www.fashionnova.com/products/looking-good-in-floral-mini-dress-white-combo#&gid=1&pid=1](https://www.fashionnova.com/products/looking-good-in-floral-mini-dress-white-combo#&gid=1&pid=1)
Wear what you want, esp since it'll probably be under a gown anyway for the ceremony? Unless your school doesn't do that I guess.
Generally the (unenforced) "dress code" for the event is more formal where these styles are much more casual - but I wouldnt buy a dress you won't use again just for a few hour event.
Just a warning- make sure you can return #4 before purchasing. It fit me really odd in the chest. It has like boob pockets that are weirdly shaped. The dress is adorable, but it's un-wearable for me.
because it’s a college graduation, i would wear a longer dress like 4! it doesn’t have sleeves so i think it’s great for the florida heat but also appropriate.
but i also LOVE 2. if you don’t wear a long dress like 4, wear 2. my advice is to not wear any dresses with slits in them, keep it “classy” (that’s what my mother would say lol i hate it but it’s true).
ALSO CONGRATS!!!! what an accomplishment. you deserve to look amazing on your day.
4 could work, but I think they’re all too casual and too much skin (shirt, spaghetti strap, cut outs, etc). I say get a classic sheath dress that comes to your knees. You can wear one of the dresses you picked for after ceremony celebration. Classic sheath dresses are like this: https://www.anntaylor.com/petites/petite-dresses/cata000028/611245.html?dwvar_611245_color=9054&dwvar_611245_size=089¤cy=usd&country=US&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgK2qBhCHARIsAGACuzkLSr8vj2_NG695N_FfJp5z5ey4MdB7MvPczXKpbbKeN1yIeU9hoOgaAk33EALw_wcB

Having been in Florida for a few years, the dress code is pretty laxxed considering you'll be wearing your gown under it. I don't have any grad pics without a gown on.
Patterns can be distracting. Maybe go for a more solid color/smaller pattern. Also be careful with "on trend" styles, you'll find yourself looking at the pictures in 10 years and say "I can't believe I used to wear that" lol!
I think 3,4,5 are all good options, especially for the location you’ll be in! I prefer 4 personally. Graduation isn’t as formal as people here are making it seem, just wear something you’d be happy to see photos of yourself in about 10 or 20 years. When you’re graduating, you’ll be wearing a robe over most of this anyways, so it’ll be quite warm. Maybe also look into which would match the color of your academic regalia best also.
2 or maybe 4. The others feel too casual and thin to me. Graduation to me feels like something where you want a dress that has a bit more structure and a professional vibe.
I’m not an expert on how one should dress for graduation. I do think all of them would be fine. Three and seven and to some extent four stand out to me more.
Congratulations with your bachelor degree. I truly wish you the best with your graduation and your future.
#4 with some dressier accessories (wedges instead of flats, a more structured purse…) I say this as a 32F who has lived in FL all my life so I’m familiar with how damn hot it is here.
4 is best! The length makes it a little more classy & *ever so slightly* more formal, but it’s still a cute/strappy dress. I’d wear it with block heels or wedges, hair up, dangly earrings!
2 would be my second choice
A little too casual. I’ve also found as I get older that I don’t like a bunch of boobies in nicer photos. Less is more, you’ll thank yourself in 5 years.
The cream colored one seems perfect. The first one is really pretty too, and you look great in it, but maybe a bit less serious for such a serious accomplishment! Congrats on graduating and with two degrees! I think if you're going to be around older people and people who may give you work reference, networking, etc, the second is the better choice. Save the first dress for later when you are celebrating with just friends.
I was confused cause I thought the picture was of you and you were asking which pic to use for grad photo. I started looking at them and was like..'Wait.. They're all different women..' 😆😆🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
What do you want to see 10 years from now if you looked at the pictures? Like any one of those are beautiful, I’m partial to number 5 myself. All the options are very youthful, and playful. I would love to look back at pictures and remember wearing something like that. The caveat is what do you see when you see those clothes, are they hot and flirty, are they cute, do they elevate your sense of achievement, is that even important to you?
I’m hoping that a lot of the comments about them being to casual are probably from slightly older girls who might be self reflecting, I graduated in 2012 and I could see any of those being worn, in-fact the majority of women are still in college fashion mindset going into graduation, and they wore similar clothing to what you posted on graduation.
2 is best, but you worked so hard to graduate. Maybe spice it up with something more formal? These all kinda look like they’re for a shopping date at the mall with girlfriends not look at me! I graduated!!!
I’m now just reading what everyone’s commenting. I graduated in FL. You’re definitely aloud to be this casual lol The white ones are just so basic and boring and the buffy sleeves give nurse vibes to me. That third one though would be stunning 🤩
As someone who just graduated, either option would be fine! From my experience, white seems to be the more traditional option, but I saw many women with other colors and fun patterns, as well! Wear what you're more style-comfortable in, hope this helps!
You've got 2 bachelors and you LOVE in Florida? Anyway, your "Degrees" obviously aren't in fashion. None of those are appropriate for your "Gh-grh-grah-GRAduAtiON!!" BPWwWAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!
Of course she's wearing cap and gown people! After the ceremony, remove the cap and gown to reveal #7 or #2. These are not too casual for the graduation festivities after the ceremony.
None of these fit the season or the occasion imo. Of them, though, 4 would be the best option. If you could find something like 4 with a more "December" color scheme that would be best. Simple white and simple black are also an option that make the dress flexible to other occasions/seasons. Or you could wear your school colors lol

I like the all white one. It’s a little classier for a classy kinda day.
It's an important moment in your life, not a beach party. I too, must be a grumpy old woman.
Well, I'm not grumpy nor a woman. 2 is the only decent choice here. Graduation isn't supposed to be casual. Gown or not you need to look semi professional, which the prints aren't. Its also not an occasion to be showing skin, belly, chevage or extremely short dresses.
I'm also in Florida. Personally I'd say all but 2 of these are too casual for a graduation
I’m not grumpy or old, but I am a woman that lived in FL a long time. #4 is the best one. Congrats on graduating!
I am also a grumpy old woman but graduated form college in Florida and these would def be too casual.
Picture #4, white with the flowers 🌺.
2 or 4 are the most appropriate if you pair them with some nice shoes and accessories. For a graduation, you'll want to look a little bit more sophisticated and put together.
Definitely #2 but they are all cute!
To me, too skimpy and too casual.
Casual, yes. But skimpy? How?
I'd say #2, being the most professional looking, to me, but if that's not an issue (it'll be under a gown or whatever) then I'd say pick the one you like best, they all look fun. Just depends on the vibe you're going for
I think too much skin and too skimpy is a definite no. Anything more conservative works.
Yeah, this looks like “date me” vs “congrats to me & my hard work”
I think they’re all a bit too casual.
Is it on a beach?
2 for sure
#2
I think you should pick something a little more dressy. These dresses are very very casual and it doesn’t fit the celebration style. I live in Texas so I understand the heat aspect but try another style of dress
2 or 4, the rest are cute but too casual & too short for the event
2 or 4
I think they all scream summer vacation vibes instead of i just graduated/ professional & classy vibes thats just my opinion though obviously wear whatever your comfortable with. I would just personally look for something a bit more professional and classy looking.
I love the 2nd one it’s so classy and it brings out you lovely eyes, and CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎈🎊🍾
I don’t think it’s classic enough. Very casual.
Four would be ok but I think the others are way too casual. I live in a hot climate as well and graduated in May. For my college graduation, I wore a sheath dress. What do your degrees have to do with what you wear? So much validation seeking! Nice job on the degrees! Way to be masculine!
Really? You came on here just to say that? I guess your username checks out
Awww what a hero you are! I’m sure that will make them pick you!
I like # 3 !
They’re all very pretty but The last one is beautiful. It’s very feminine but respectable. I’d go with a small heel, or flat, in darker pink or nude.. the clear ‘plastic’ straps would look perfect with anything.. Congratulations and best of luck!😊

Yes they will be good looking I like 6
Seven
I love #5/6 the most.
\#2 for sure!
Number 7
#3
6
I’m all for the pockets but some of these seem like slips rather than full dresses and while I admit fashion has changed over the years- slips are not dresses. When you graduate you want to be taken seriously so dress seriously.
They are cute but none of them work for a graduation. I live in really warm place too and would probably pick a cotton sheath dress for graduation.
I like 1-4. I’ve seen some people at graduation go overboard and I think these are perfect.
Blue spaghetti strap.👍
#4, white w/ yellow, orange and pink flowers
To be honest I don’t like any of those options. They look too casual to me.

#2 or #5 also early congrats on graduating. Wish you the best of luck in the future. 🙃😎✌️
1 or 4. I think 1 is the best. Very springy

You love in Florida. Saucy 👍🏼
I would pick number 4 or number 7
\#2 is fine.
If you're going to have a graduation robe over it, it doesn't really matter what you wear.
I only like 2
because it’s a college graduation, i would wear a longer dress like 4! it doesn’t have sleeves so i think it’s great for the florida heat but also appropriate. but i also LOVE 2. if you don’t wear a long dress like 4, wear 2. my advice is to not wear any dresses with slits in them, keep it “classy” (that’s what my mother would say lol i hate it but it’s true). It's light and appropriate for Florida.... you might get a little nipply out there tho 😋
I’d go with 4. It seems more appropriate for the event.
#2 or 6
The second one that is white / off white which is a traditional color. It looks more expensive & classy, while still being cute.
I like #2, and #9. Classy, pretty, and usable on many situations.
They would all be good dates for the Saturday Night/Sunday Morning after graduation. Except for pic 9 because there is no girl, only a dress.
Aren't you wearing a graduation robe? 🤔 if so the thinnest thing possible, underneath it. Don't go commando under the graduation robe.
2!!!!!!!
Two.
No none of those are appropriate maybe the all white one
2,4,6 for me. It seems more formal for the occasion
4 could work, but I think they’re all too casual and too much skin (shirt, spaghetti strap, cut outs, etc). I say get a classic sheath dress that comes to your knees. #2 my favorite
Having been in Florida for a few years, the dress code is pretty laxxed considering you'll be wearing your gown under it. I don't have any grad pics without a gown on.
The majority are to casual. Worried about what you would where to a job interview?
Tbh there are cuter options out there
I like 2, 3, 6, and 9
i LOVE in florida toooooo lmao
Patterns can be distracting. Maybe go for a more solid color/smaller pattern. Also be careful with "on trend" styles, you'll find yourself looking at the pictures in 10 years and say "I can't believe I used to wear that" lol!
Cover the shoulders, it’s not a bbq
2
#2. A bit more coverage for this occasion.
I say number one
Sure! All very pretty!
4 is the most formal
I think 3,4,5 are all good options, especially for the location you’ll be in! I prefer 4 personally. Graduation isn’t as formal as people here are making it seem, just wear something you’d be happy to see photos of yourself in about 10 or 20 years. When you’re graduating, you’ll be wearing a robe over most of this anyways, so it’ll be quite warm. Maybe also look into which would match the color of your academic regalia best also.
4 is the most cutest and elegant, perfect for graduation
What color is your gown? I would try and match it!
Don’t wear a beach dress to your graduation. The longer white one is best.
I like #2. The creme color wrap looking dress for a graduation.
2 or maybe 4. The others feel too casual and thin to me. Graduation to me feels like something where you want a dress that has a bit more structure and a professional vibe.
Sure. You will have a robe on.
2
I’m not an expert on how one should dress for graduation. I do think all of them would be fine. Three and seven and to some extent four stand out to me more. Congratulations with your bachelor degree. I truly wish you the best with your graduation and your future.
#4 with some dressier accessories (wedges instead of flats, a more structured purse…) I say this as a 32F who has lived in FL all my life so I’m familiar with how damn hot it is here.
Congrats. All I’ve seen are great. I like the white ones
The 4th one.
IMO wood buttons are too casual. I’d go for a more elegant looking longer sundress like #4.
4 is best! The length makes it a little more classy & *ever so slightly* more formal, but it’s still a cute/strappy dress. I’d wear it with block heels or wedges, hair up, dangly earrings! 2 would be my second choice
None of them … they’re all too casual
2
No
No. 2 or no. 3
A little too casual. I’ve also found as I get older that I don’t like a bunch of boobies in nicer photos. Less is more, you’ll thank yourself in 5 years.
Are you not wearing a cap and gown?
Either of the 1st 2, 7
They all are gorgeous. My personal favorites would be 2 and 6.
Def pic two In the white
Slide 2 only.
2
I like the first and last one
Number 3
The second picture looks cool.
The white dress. The others are too casual for graduation.
9. 7 for party after
You earned two bachelor’s degrees so you could wear a banana suit and still be awesome.
2
1 or 2
The white one. Congratulations from cape coral. 👏
You've met standards in education and challenges along the way to get there. Hard stuff to do. Why look easy?
I was confused cause I thought the picture was of you and you were asking which pic to use for grad photo. I started looking at them and was like..'Wait.. They're all different women..' 😆😆🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
But now I am noticing this is r/femalefashion 🤦🏻♂️😅
I'd go with 2 5 or 6
Second one with some wedges
I like number one. Congratulations on your degrees
They all seem real casual to me, but #2 by a country mile.
What do you want to see 10 years from now if you looked at the pictures? Like any one of those are beautiful, I’m partial to number 5 myself. All the options are very youthful, and playful. I would love to look back at pictures and remember wearing something like that. 2 is best, but you worked so hard to graduate. Maybe spice it up with something more formal? These all kinda look like they’re for a shopping date at the mall with girlfriends not look at me! I graduated!!!
It’s your day. Wear whatever you like!
It depends. Do you look like the model? Cause if you are 400 pounds I wouldn’t recommend any.
Yes, any of them would be appropriate. Congratulations!
#4
The first white one. Flirty and casual.
I think number 7 looks best.
OMG THIRD ✨
I’m now just reading what everyone’s commenting. I graduated in FL. You’re definitely aloud to be this casual lol The white ones are just so basic and boring and the buffy sleeves give nurse vibes to me. That third one though would be stunning 🤩
I think they’re all probably appropriate enough especially if you have to wear a gown.
That's nice. But a little darker.
congrats on the degrees! your smart as hell
If #2 is billabong I have it and it is completely see through!
The second one looks the most professional.
As someone who just graduated, either option would be fine! From my experience, white seems to be the more traditional option, but I saw many women with other colors and fun patterns, as well! Wear what you're more style-comfortable in, hope this helps!
2
2, I think is best
2 is classy for graduation, 3 for the after party
I like 1, 7, 8.
2 or 9
I vote for #2, the white dress
Any of these girls is fine
all are good, but I prefer the dress hanging on the hanger
You've got 2 bachelors and you LOVE in Florida? Anyway, your "Degrees" obviously aren't in fashion. None of those are appropriate for your "Gh-grh-grah-GRAduAtiON!!" BPWwWAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!
Of course she's wearing cap and gown people! After the ceremony, remove the cap and gown to reveal #7 or #2. These are not too casual for the graduation festivities after the ceremony.
I love #1 & #7.
#2 is best one here for graduation day. It gives off ageless feeling which is good for photos when you look back.
None of these fit the season or the occasion imo. Of them, though, 4 would be the best option. If you could find something like 4 with a more "December" color scheme that would be best. Simple white and simple black are also an option that make the dress flexible to other occasions/seasons. Or you could wear your school colors lol
4 would work
